How does Pokemon Bank work with the 3DS Gen 1 Pokemon games, like Red? Is it even working ahead of the Sun & Moon release?

Whoops forgot Yellow, yellow is included as well.

It's really crappy, but... You gotta transfer from red/blue/yellow and all the way up to Diamond and Pearl. Then you have to trade from those version to Black and White, and eventually in Black and White you can transfer over to X and Y, and then onwards. So if you have 2 Gameboys, 2 DS's, and 2 3DS's and two copies of the games... You are out of luck.

Fishy' saying you have to beat the Elite 4 on a save file on each game to transfer them over through each generation.
