People like you are the reason Halo 4 is as annoying as it is.

    1. the AR could be successfully used by anyone who can run and pull the trigger, where as with Presision weapons like the Br, and DMR they take 5 (or more) very precise shots to take down the enemy.

    2. IM surprised youre not using the boltshot as a secondary, as you seem like the camping type with your Invis armor ability.

    3. i guarentee you are the guy that stands back and throws grenades all day long dont you.

why do this? there is no point in your post besides that of knocking down another member. just cause he uses invis doesn't give you the right to assume he's a camper, if anything the fact that he uses it with an ar means the opposite. it becomes easier to see the cloaked spartan as you get closer to it, and the ar's effective range is pretty close. the close effective range makes it easy to counter with a precision weapon, just don't get close and you win. so if anything it takes a different skill set to use it correctly. you need to use misdirection to close that gap. don't go in guns blazing. pick your time to attack the enemy group from a different angle, spraying bullets into the mass and throwing grenades

  2. on the contrary, smart jet packing can save your life. say you and a teammate are turning a corner together. you jet pack up while he stays down, forcing the enemy to shoot 2 distant targets rather than 2 close targets. increasing both your chances of survivability

I've used it within the structures on harvest where the pillars divide the entrances. on those ramps going down, there's tall ceilings that stop then drop straight down. I've entered the room n jetpacked up into that corner where the enemy couldn't see me. then I dropped a grenade to greet em when they ran beneath me.

however, when used improperly it can impair you more than help. like kids who panic n just hold the button down til they run out of juice. it makes you stick out like a sore thumb, even to enemies across the map from you. but I think those kids are doing that because they've been foiled by somebody else using that same tactic. so really it's just like any aa in the sense that if used properly it CAN save your life

  3. CoD unfortuntaly is > Halo.

can't call something better just because of sales. people as a whole tend to flock towards trends, not necessarily better products. I know a good number of people that started CoD and still play it cause that's where all their friends are. convincing said people to make the change to halo involves convincing their friends as well, and once someone's mind is made it's difficult to change it. similar to the iPhone vs android situation

  4. are you talkin about the lifts or the man cannons? in my experience the man cannons can be a lol screwy. you need to stay on the middle 85% of it for it to actual throw you you. if you hug too close or too far from the wall it's like the man cannon doesn't register that you're on it

  5. I support halo changing as a series. games need to change their formula while keeping the same basic idea in tact. otherwise they WILL become forgotten.

how many console games have survived multiple console generations worth of sequels and remained successful without changing things?

to me the changes they made to halo 4 don't deviate too far from what halo actually ends up being. an fps in the future.

besides, from an artists perspective, I'd rather spend years creating something that has the potential to change ppl's minds than spend a fraction of that time on the same thing they've been doin

  6. I'd have to agree with others and say a lifetime ban is pretty extreme. sexism happens on Xbox live, just as it does in every other aspect of life. ya can't get someone arrested for making a sexist comment at a bar, you just walk away and ignore em if you don't like it.

besides, where exactly is the line drawn of how sexist is too sexist? what if I'm playin oddball and tell a teammate "you throw like a girl"? does that mean I get a lifetime ban?

  7. I'm so excited for this controller! on the original Xbox I took a chance n bought a controller that was designed like 2 gun grips. it just looked too cool to pass up. then I found out the controller moved all the face buttons below the triggers, accessible to my middle and ring fingers. I've been trying to find something similar on 360 for over a year now, n all I ever find are mod sites selling them. but there's never any comments on the pages regarding the relocated button controllers, so I remained skeptical.

thank you razer for comin thru!

  8. I wouldn't suggest drastically lowering your sensitivity to 2-3 like others are. I tried that n it only frustrated me which effected my game. if anything gradually lower it til you notice an improvement in your game. I've been an 8-10 since halo 2 and found my new comfort zone at 6. I also got a set of stick extensions which I've noticed made a HUGE difference.

I've learned to stop checking my radar constantly thanks to SWAT. you're better off keeping a keen eye for enemies and using your peripherals to follow the motion tracker. cause if an enemy spots you while your checkin your radar, they will open fire. and all it takes is for them to get one shot on you while you're unaware for them to win. unless you've got some godly dancing skills.

I do completely agree with ppl saying find controller settings and loadouts and stick to em. I've been runnin fishstick and have tried bumper jumper, but it's got a negative effect on my game everytime.

  9. I was thinking about that grenade. it's just not all that useful, personally, unless I take explosives and grenadier.

what if it teleported you instead?

I'd be much happier only getting one if those without relying on other loadout slots. I realize that could lead to problems when used with explosives, so perhaps allow it to teleport another spartan within a meter of its user

  10. I don't think it being hard to develop is a good enough excuse for it not to be. if the gaming industry didn't do stuff just because it was so hard than we wouldn't even be here talking about halo 4.

however, with the game as is it can't just be implemented. it would have to be designed into the game from the get go

  11. What the? Is this a troll post or something?

    no no no

it's not. I was just lookin up what each specialization gives you over it's 10 ranks and noticed that the engineer tracks where ordinance is coming, and the engineer modifies the ordinance he's offered

unless my source was possibly inaccurate

  12. air strike:

    assault rifle

    plasma pistol

    plasma grenades

    aa efficiency

    explosives

this is mostly used for taking out vehicles. the jetpack lets you get that extra height outta your jump to clear a warthog. not to mention it's importance for taking out or jacking wraiths. plasma freezes vehicles allowing for an easy stick. depending on the vehicle they get one or both plasmas. and the bigger blast radius of explosives, I find, yields better results for vehicles that can carry multiple passengers. also due to the fact that jacking the vehicle is sometimes the best option, explosives allows you to survive more grenades while your drivin
