I'm not mad at the use of grenades. I just get annoyed at the fact that sometimes 2 or three people just throw all of them like it's no tomorrow and sometimes, there's no way to dodge them.

That I understand. I do that sometimes. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's the 4 or 5 grenades that get thrown at me and my teammates and it seems like the room or hallway literally exploded.

It's when it's nearly impossible to dodge those things that really grinds my gears. Like I said, grenade use is fine, it's part of the game. It's the spamming that's annoying.

Im sorry I have no sympathy for u bro grenades make halo what it is and gettin spammed comes with it. Bad topic unneeded close it down please

  2. I do know that auto aim is in the game but our definitions of it are conflicting. Yes, in call of duty it does pull the reticle towards the person but in halo it merely slows the reticle movement inside the target. People always try to give me that "walk in front of you" example to try to counteract my statement. If another target walks in front of the person you are shooting you will unconsciously move in the direction of that person for a very small amount of time, resulting in your reticle being a distance away. This example is really a test of your reaction speed and how much you rely on aim assist to lead your reticle unknowingly. You can pull off heashots easier on your target because your reticle is moving slower inside your target allowing for more precision aiming. - Try to back up your statements with facts... When someone walks in front of your target again and "pulls" your reticle, look and see what direction your right analog stick is pointed in...

I guess were gonna have to disagree but thanks for replying on my topic and actively discussing it with me. (Even if we went a lil off topic

  3. Because your reticle was closer to that person making it get caught by the persons sensitivity. You couldn't remove the reticle from the body in time to prevent your death. Either way the sensitivity still isn't disproved by that statement you made. Yet again, I will give you another example, if your reticle is to the side of the player you intend to shoot then why doesn't it get pulled toward that person, because all aim assist in halo 4 does is slow down the reticle movement inside the targets perimeter.

We must not be playin the same game cause my reticule is pulled towards the enemy all the time. Ill be lining up headshots with the snipe and itll pull towards their head. Also I was one shot about to oneshot the other guy and someone running next to him pulled my reticule and the guy I tried to kill got me. Auto aim is very prevelant in this game your wrong sorry

  4. Removing the aim assist wouldn't necessarily imply skill but the players eye-hand ability. If this were to become reality then the game would need lower controller sensitivities to combat the lack of aim assist. Needless to say, lowering the amount of aim assist would be useless because the lowered controller sensitivity would be an equal amount of aim assist all on its own resulting in slow moving gameplay with the same amount of aim as it would be WITH the aim assist. I guess you are trying to say to keep the same controller sensitivities but remove the aim assist? This would cause frustration across the gaming industry, probably eradicating the casual gaming community and severely reducing sales of the game. As a result, the company who decided to create the game without aim assist would go out of business...

You may try to comeback saying that you should have an option to remove aim assist or atleast reduce it. Well, this wouldn't necessarily work too well. A change in aim assist would cause the player to ruin their already predetermined shooting style. It is so that aim assist is just a defined area of which the controller sensitivity is lowered, meaning that when you are shooting at your opponant your sensitivity is lowered to a factor of unknown. If the aim assist was changed then you are just changing the controller sensitivity for a defined area. Therefor, the sudden loss of aim assist would be like trying to change your aim assist from 1 to 8 in the defined area. You should be able to adapt to the lack of aim assist but with each interval between no aim assist and having aim assist would result in a temporary adjustment (3 days to 4 weeks adjustment period) period for aiming ability. This would most likely create a fine line between aim assist players and non-aim assist players with aim assist players having the unfair advantage in gameplay. The two groups would have to play with people withing their own aim assist range. Aim assist players would become the norm and the non-aim assist players would become the minority leading to contreversy throughout the gaming community, competitive and casual.

I really dont understand this the aim assist pulls u to the person it not slowing u down its aiming for u.

  5. Its because of the design of the game. There are no weapons or ammo on the map. Therefore, the only way to reload your weapons is to either die or pick them up from dead people. Since most people use the AR and the DMR, nobody will switch to the other weapons because they will run out of ammo quickly and not be able to reload. You can switch weapons after your main one is used up, but just for the ease of use, most people will stick with the DMR and AR which will cause these weapons to always be the most popular.

Not true dude people use those weapons because there effective ammo doesnt change anything cuz I could just pick it up if I wanted to use it.

  6. Here is the biggest problem with the two games. CoD contains a usual present or past time story behind it. Because the story doesn't involve weird aliens or evolved human timelines of weapons....the game remains relatively the same so the storyline and characters never get lost or jumbled or even stretch far too past it's own meaning.

Halo on the other hand has been continuing a story that already started in the future. Because each game is showcasing a new amount of recovered or discovered tech from Forerunners or Earth scientists....the gameplay and new features have to be added to keep that story going. Halo kinda can't really stay in the same mode as it had with Halo 2 or Halo 3. If it stayed fundamentally the same in terms of mechanics or gameply...the player wouldn't really feel as if a reasonable amount of progression has been made in the timelines. I mean c'mon..... could you imagine what it would be like trying to tackle those damn Promethian Knights WITHOUT the aid of some of the AA's and sprint? Seriously...go play legendary and don't use any AA or sprint for the whole game, then come back and say how easy it is without them.

Halo will always have to evolve the gameplay to meet the story standard and expectations of fans. Just not all changes are going to be accepted. We are going through a new generation of gamer right now, one that is light years away from the ones I have seen in my youth. For most of the older 1st gen and 2nd gen gamers...Halo will never measure up.

With a game based around aa's of course it would be hard without them, nor a good point.

  7. i have seen this to, apparently the CoD games are satisfied with the "same" game over and over again

Why change something that everyone love. If they made halo three with more weapons a new campaign, maybe slightly altered mechanics I bet it woulda of been praised by the community.

and halo players are afraid of changes

  8. So Ive been playing call of duty and ive realized something about it. They barely change anything about there gameplay and people continue to buy and love those games. Now on these forums everyone is complaining about how halos changed to much and alot of people dislike it. But at the same time people are sayin it need to evolve. My thought though is if u got something great dont change it so why all the hate on cod. They keep the formula but refine it, even though my dislike the combat and game mechanics. Respect that they know their fans like how the game is and dont change it for thst reason. Please no hate if your gonns reply please do it in a civilized manner thank u.

  9. Even though we all may differ on opinions I just wanna say merry christmas to everyone. This community is something I love to participate in and its nice to come on here and be able to speak my mind of the game with u guys. If u dont celebrate christmas, happy holidays to all of u . I just thought I spread some cheer to everyone and to keep it relevant to the matchmaking forum. Does anyone know if theres any thing dif with the game for christmas and oh ya boltshots op alalalalalalalalalala

  10. But the "exterminate" thing in this game is realllllly easy to get. The commendation is the first one I finished. I mean, the weekly challenges have always been a joke that you cab do in a day. but this one takes the kicker. If you DON'T get this in one or two games then somethings wrong.

U sure can find anything to complain about. So what its easy some people dont like to grind if u so fond of it how about u just level up without the daily challenge. Way more problems than this crap get off these forums with tgis attituce your just wasting everyones time. But u are entitled to your opinion even if it is annoying

    "more tactically"

How so? You see a lot more so its less tactically because its very easy to camp and to spot people.

Funny thing is people move around more cause u can see more. Of course theres gonna be corner campers but with a 3rd person adavantage u can take cover more effectively and it would make people hit cover then pop out then hit it again. I think it would be fun.

I care because it seems I'm one of the few people who respects the fact that products have to be released by a deadline and that's the job of the people at 343 industries. I may not like everything they do, but I respect that it's a real job at a real company doing work to create a marketable product.

So when they're making changes to this game or another I'd like it if they spend their LIMITED time focusing on things that matter rather than giving people an option to watch themselves run. You can't just have all options in every game, little things like programming a second camera take time that could be spent fine tuning weapons or cleaning up glitches. The ONLY shooter I know of that's very successful with the over-the-shoulder perspective is Gears of War. It plays radically different from Halo AND its multiplayer has more narrow appeal.

If you want to see yourself that bad just watch every game you play in theater, you'll make as much of a difference.

Over-the-shoulder perspective pushes your camera back but you still have to remain competitive. Rather than swiveling on your gun like the camera does now though, the over-the-shoulder perspective swings it wide behind you to keep looking in front of you. The camera has to move MORE to keep up with the same amount of player movment. It's not just a change you can program in and let players pick between it and 1st person. That's why in over-the-shoulder shooters they slow you down so much, so that you don't get jarred by the camera moving super fast to keep up.

The OP doesn't understand this because the OP didn't think about it, but if you think about it as a game mechanic the problems become obvious. It's not something you click on and off, it's something you build your game around. Where the camera is in a SHOOTER is extremely important. Like my opinion or not, it's the product of information not random brainfarts.

Just cuz theres deadlines doest mean its impossible, of all the things they could add this be easy theatre mode has a 3rd person camera already. Also why u gotta sound like your attacking the op he was just wondering something and wanted some feedback.
