  1. I hope duel welding returns, especially if we fight the Flood. Duel wielding Plasma Rifles got me through the level "Cortana" in Halo 3.

Yep, they ripped right through the flood, only time dual plasma rifles were useful in that game.

  2. Dual wielding was always a fun gameplay mechanic that halo had and no other game did. I feel like it should return with halo 4 but only a few weapons should be able to be dual wield. Maybe pistol style weapons and smg style weapons only... No mauler style weapons or rifles (like how weak the plasma rifle was in halo 3) should be dual wieldable.

  3. What type of AR would you like in Halo 4? I would like the Halo 3 AR back, but I think it should have a little more range and the power of Reach's AR. I just feel like because this is a sequel to Halo 3, little should be changed with the weapons, especially their design.

  4. I would love to see the SMG back for Halo 4. Even if 343 stays with the "no dual wielding", it could be the short range bullet hose it always has been. They could do it like the spiker from Reach and just adjust the damage so it can compete with the rest of the single wielded guns. There could be less damage per bullet than the AR and have a shorter range, but a higher rate of fire and its larger 60 bullet clip.

  5. What are everyone's ideas for some cool new sandbox features in Halo 4. Things which we have always thought would have been cool.

    Some of my ideas:

Climbing- When you stand near a steep object or incline (like a tall crate or cliff) you are given a command prompt to climb the object.

Swimming- I've always thought it was the stupidest thing that you couldn't swim, and that you actually drowned in 6 feet of water. I can understand that bungie was using the water a parameter for game-play but if Halo 4 has the massive maps we expect it to they need to let Spartans swim. For example, when you walk past your head in water you stow your weapon and use both hands to swim, steering and thrusting with the left and right sticks. if you wanted to swim underwater, 343 could limit that ability by giving you only 20 seconds of air or something.

Going Prone- This really needs to be included. I mean, some people might argue that that is "to COD", but what kind of soldier never goes prone in battle. It drastically improves your sniping accuracy and is a good way to get out of the crossfire if you need to regain your shields.

Kicking- An interesting melee attack if the controls are right. Kicking would deal more damage then a standard melee and could be instituted by holding down the melee and trigger at the same time.

What does everyone think? Some new actions in Halo 4 would be nice and i would like everybody who reads this to give their opinions.

I like the kicking action. Shields in Halo 4 could maybe take 2 regular melee hits before popping, and be quicker, while a kick could pop shields instantly, and knock the enemy back further, but the animation would be longer.

  6. I was wondering how I can use the original pistol from CE in the anniversary multiplayer. I was almost certain that 343 said you could use it, but I can't find it anywhere. There isn't even any options to at least turn off bloom like there was supposed to be. I'm trying to play firefight on the new firefight map with custom options to replicate CE gameplay, but bloom is ******** me off, and I'm 100 % sure 343 said that Halo CE anniversary would come with options to lessen or turn off bloom, and it would come with the CE pistol.

    Can someone help me please?

  7. well the armour in reach kinda looks like the armour they had in CE. the helmet both look like military police (only in CE withou the detail). i would have no problem with the change

Yeah, I mean it doesn't look bad at all... the Army uniforms from Reach are bad ass, but it breaks canon a little because the army wasn't present in Halo CE. It's just one of those things that makes me think "what were they thinking?" when they did this. Its like they said: "Hey, lets not enhance the marines armor and instead copy and paste Army armor from Reach, even though its a completely different branch of the armed forces and therefore doesn't make any sense."

  8. Yes but maybe what we saw was odsts in firefight?odsts will be joining us in firefight now so maybe the clip I saw was the reach version of installation 04(halo anniversary firefight map). I dont remember seeing marines in any campaign videos I watched. You should link the videos you saw

I'm talking about videos of the Anniversery campaign. In the original Halo CE, marines were the Chief's allies. In Halo reach, Noble 6's allies were army soldiers. 343 for some reason took the army models from halo reach, and used them for the marines in the anniversary CAMPAIGN. Look up any campaign video for halo anniversary and you will see allies that look like army soldiers from reach, doesn't make any sense because the UNSC army was not present in the original Halo Combat Evolved. 343 either made a mistake or didn't care.

  9. Small issue if at all. Im sure they will have it right in the final copy. If not, it won't change how they react in game anyway so not a big deal in that respect. But yes, this is a remake so it shouldn't be totally different like this IMO. Could have something to do with the fact that they are using the reach game engine.

You have a point, it is minor, and yes, it doesn't change the gameplay, but it goes against canon. The whole point of Anniversery is the new looks, so when they get something like this wrong, it makes me feel like they're either lazy or don't care as much as they've been saying they do. Also, only multiplayer is the reach engine, while the enhanced graphics are a new engine.

  10. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but in all the anniversary videos I've see, the marines in enhanced mode are wearing what the army does in Reach. I understand that 343 wanted to enhance everything with better graphics, but how could they screw this up? They blatently used the wrong model. They might as well just throw skirmisher models in for all the jackals and brutes in for all the elites really!

I seriously hope the videos I saw were made before serious model changes, because this its a slap in the face for 343 to think no one would notice this. What about you? Are you disappointed 343 did this? Are you optimistic and assume they have made changes? Do you care about the models?

  11. So... If the Master Chief's half of the ship was teleported to some unknown region of space and crash lands on a shield world, where will UNSC weaponry come from? The UNSC Forward unto Dawn couldn't possibly carry enough weapons and ammo for an entire game, let alone any new weapons. This, in my mind means one thing, which is the UNSC will have to come into the plot eventually

What do you all think about this? What are your explainations?

  12. I was playing the Halo 3 campaign the other day, and I realized something. In the first cut scene, the chief survives the fall from the forerunner dreadnaught because his armor is "Locked up". This made me think of, in my opinion, a better way to utilize Armor Lock in Reach, without being as unfair to players who pick other Armor Abilities.

First of, I would make Armor Lock last a half of a second after it is activated. This makes it more strategic, as it would only be able to deflect a single rocket or a single sniper bullet, or timed just right as a ghost or warthog charges the user. No more could someone activate Armor lock to hold out for a few seconds in a AR or DMR fight, slowing down gameplay.

But fans of Armor Lock may say "Now its not good enough! Whats the point of picking it?". Well, the Idea I acquired from the Halo 3 campaign is that Armor Lock could be used to save users from death by falling. I suggest that if the user times it right, before impact on the ground, Armor Lock could drain the player's shields to help them escape their falling demise.

Imagine: Escape a nearly destroyed banshee, or a jump off a poorly piloted falcon. Use Armor Lock as the chief did!

I'm hoping 343 will see this and put it in the title update if possible. What do you all think of this idea?

    Thanks!
