  1.

I'm sorry but I may have misunderstood your post. Please inform me if I did.

Ok, For starters... he is not the last Spartan ll. Where would he get a "hint" of it if i may ask? Last I heard he was fighting with Spartan IVs (please keep in mind i havent played halo 4 yet. so if you have information i don't regarding halo 4 please dont tell me). If by what you mean is Spartan IIs he FOUGHT with them in the Human Covenant war and then even when he thought they were all dead he still made a few suggestions to go back to reach. In regard to not hearing from them for years..... He has no reason to think there dead........ and he IS NOT the last of his kind. Granted 343 could decide to make them all go up in flames, but as far as I know (Spartan II wise) he's not alone.

If I may ask how much of the books do you read? (I say this because im trying to understand where your getting these questions not as derogatory)

Yea you may have misunderstood, I was saying that after so many years with fighting in Spartan teams , te chief is now fighting alone, and that's been for the past few years he is bound to have thought they weren't still alive especially during the evasion on earth.

I have read all the books, I agree there is nothing that outrightly says he thinks he is the last one but it's more Likely that he does .

And the spartan IIs were by far the best and the books state that , the other Spartans are no were near as good.

  2. At the end of the day , it was 343s first go at a game , never minded halo 4. It was a huge project to take on , they may not have nailed it but they did a good enough job to warrant two more games , like anything they will learn from there mistakes and constructive criticism not mindless ranting and abusive writing.

Let's give 343 a chance to show that this is the start of something beautiful and we will be saying come 2016 that halo 6 was the best halo ever. To which we will be awaiting the arrival of halo 7 ;) (I wish)

  3. The flood were annoying but such a great enemy, the new storm covenant are boring , they don't really have any reason to be there .

It would be good to see the covenant return however, this time humanity joins in order to defeat the returning forerunners. Would be cool to see. But overall I rate the covenant as humanities greatest adversary :)

  4. For being part 1 of a trilogy it's pretty dumb to kill of a main bad guy.

It took the chief 3 games and a span of 20 old years( give or take a few) to defeat the covenant who are apparently inferior to the Diadect, but it took the chief little less than 3 missions to defeat the Diadect , which is funny. I understand the covenant were a large army but the Diadect had a vast army of Prometheans :)

  5. So with the Covenant all but gone now, what is everyone feelings about them, did you miss them in Halo4 ( I know the storm covenant were in halo 4 but they were pathetic)

I for one am saddened they are gone they are by far one of the greatest villians out there in the gaming world, and I think its a shame that the whole struture of the covenant collased it would have been fun to at least have fought a smaller version of the covenant but with a new prophet incharge awk well

  6. The thing is, the idea of a halo film sounds amazing but will the actual film be good. Halo is such a bit universe and even after 5 or 6 games its still being explained. In order to make a film from a huge universe you would have to be a very special and good director, think about it would we have the master chief as the potaganist or some random marine, what planet would they be fighting on unlike a game or a book a film cant jump from one place to another it has to stay rooted to a specfic plot line i.e like what FUD was like (however it was a web series)

We would have to have it based and focused on one thing, i.e a odst fighting on earth or some other planet against the covenant. I really want a halo movie but im afraid that if that day ever came it would fail miserably, and i beleive it would be the type of film to fire out huge ammounts of info just to get the audience to understand whats accutally going on in the film, then comes the problem with dialog versus action scenes it couldnt all be about fighting covenant like the games it would be painstaking slow building characters up etc

    Just a thought

  7. I think a movie would be awesome however i think the idea has been tossed about now for a while. the reasons for not making the movie are as follows:

Huge budget (lots and lots of money would be needed .

The main character (john-117) wears a helmet meaing character emotion and relatability goes out the window. which means they would need another character to fill in which would cause riots (ha)

Microsoft, are horrible people they refused to give some of the licenses in order to make the film .i.e they didnt allow the UNSC to be called the UNSC and many other vital parts of the halo canon

And finally, video game movies have a record of being bad hence why every director has stayed away which is highly unfortunate :( but i hope one day someone will come to their senses and make a halo movie.

  8. And as I said before, we have already stopped The Flood in Halo 3! Them showing up as enemies in the new trilogy would be pointlessly redundant. They can show up in a CGI cutscene/flashback as part of the Human/Forerunner story, as our first contact with them is what led to the Human/Forerunner war. But the story of the new trilogy is about the Human's finally taking their intended place as protectors of the galaxy. We've already proven we can defeat the Flood without sacrificing the rest of the galaxy (something the Forerunners could not do), so now it's time to prove that we are better than the Forerunners to their face.

The flood cant be stopped, the flood will have some part in the trilogy, as we dont know if the flood was actually destroyed, as was said there is other installations, the only thing that has happened the flood is they have returned to the first stage of thier evolution.

  9. Guys are we forgetting that this is 343's first EVER game. I mean they were never going to get it perfect halo 1,2 and 3 were always going to be better as bungie had time to shape the world . While 343 were landed an already crafted story and told to "get on with it" I'm not entierly happy with the games storyline with the space magic stuff but I am willing to give 343 a chance to show that they are putting everything into the halo universe,

Think about it when you are landed something for the first time it isn't always perfect it's only after you can go back and redesign things that didn't work then go forward with better results.

  10. My theory is that Halo 5 will explore John having to be on his own for the first time, and his conflicting feelings about duty versus his largely buried, but now bubbling to the surface, humanity. I think either somewhere in 5, or in 6, Cortana will be back. Somehow. Either the Librarian copied her when she was in its systems and fixed her like she did John, or perhaps him being altered to be immune to digitization will somehow cause her to re-coalesce. Perhaps even as an organic life form. That would be an interesting story to tell. But I believe she will be back, somehow.

Yea I agree with halo 5 having the chief go lone wolf. If you look at the past halo games chief relies massively on cortona he is the muscle she is the Brains , without cortaana the chief would have died on the first halo ring.

So the next game will have him go it alone with an AI he won't trust /won't like .

  11. Hey,

So I'm a bit confused right now. The covenant that we see in Halo 4, are those savages or not? Why do the elites attack us? And why do they fight the protheans and work together with them? I'm a bit confused here :/

    Please, enlighten me :)

They are the "storm Covenant" they are a rogue group who are run by the elites. They have either not aggreed to the peace deal with humanity or simply dont know about it. They are looking for something on the planet, and like the cheif they are attacked by the prometheans because they are an outside threat. However why they start fighting for the diadect is not entirly known, either becasue he can control them using an ability or they (beliveing he is a God) decide to follow him.

Overall they are a different faction from the Real covenant.

  12. I dont want to see cortana die she is a cool character, but i wouldnt want to see her return to her old self (i.e chiefs A.I) Why?

Because havent we seen enough silly space magic stuff, I mean she has 7-8 years operating life and thats just about up , it would be a bit of a cliche to somehow bring her back, I understand that she it a special A.I but really saying she has 8 years opertating life but then somehow overcome that and live for somemore, Halo 4 has some silly things it it tho. For example a huge ship (the infinity) CRASH lands on a planet but yet it can take off again and be completly fine .

I love Halo ( just not the silly cliche stuff that comes along with it)

  13. I too am dissapointed with the game (with all the hype surrounding it) But I feel that we need to give 343 the benefit of the doubt, I mean they took on a huge challenge which could distroy them if they fail. They tried to make a good story but didnt come up with a good one. Halo 5 will determine if they are fit enough to create halo games. I love the Halo Lore i think its one of the best out there, and i was concerned when bungie was removed from it, I just hope that 343 understands the mistakes they have made in halo 4 and change it. it did get very annoying with the consant wave after wave of enemies charging at you it felt very un-halo-ish and more like call of duty

  14. The campaign was good, but the story is really going somewhere not good, i just hope there is no space magic stuff, I mean halo 1,2 and 3 had an amazing storyline but now it seems as if supernatural events are happening now to what I thought was a serious story about a supersolider defending earth.

  15. To be honest, a lot of the ending was a little bit confusing to me. How exactly did Cortana protect Chief from the blast? And how did she suddenly become corporeal to touch Chief? Furthermore, how was she able to actually physically restrain the Didact? I felt like it was all a little bit too much space-magic.

Because cortana was in the forerunner system she was able to use what remained of her to create a shield around the chief, using forewrunner /didact technology. In other words the place were cortana touched the cheif was in a shield. I have no idea how she was able to touch him usless teh technology made her go that way .

  16. He's not dead, you hear him narrating the epilogue

And we know his motivation, revenge for the Human-Forerunner war

Well that's not certain , yes it is him who is talking but that could have been a longtime ago , I mean he did mention about it being a sin not to destroy humanity, he was obviously talking to someone , which could have been a long time ago or another race has returned (say the forerunners)

    Just a thought
