......and he kills me after respawning before my shields are recharged. Cause that's totally fair and balanced.

I hate running around the corner I spawn in front of then getting killed by 2 enemies.
The spawns are terrible.
So please.
-
Oh and to the OP, the range of the charge shot is FAR outside melee range. If you get lucky sometimes you can oneshot a player up to 15 (estimating) feet away.
Did I state otherwise?
-
First, please keep it civil as I've seen way to many Boltshot threads erupt into a flamewar
First of all, let me make a point. I do not want to see the Boltshot GONE. It's a nice third pistol they introduced and needs to stay if they want to keep the loadout system intact. I DO however, find it a little OP as it is now, so I will try to counter most arguments about why the boltshot is not OP.
- The OHK range is just outside melee range.
This is simply not true. I use the Boltshot a lot because of it's incredible effectiveness and I've one-shotted people from well beyond melee range. People who say that you need a very good aim for it, I disagree with. I personally have no problem placing the full reticule over my target.
- It makes a loud and distinctive sound when it charges.
It may be distinctive, but in my experience, it's definitely not loud. Maybe you need a headset for it. I dunno.
- When you miss, you're dead.
Well, this is mostly true, but isn't that the same with the Hammer, Sword, and sometimes even the Shotgun?
- It depletes half your clip.
So what the single fire mode sucks anyways
Let me give a few examples:
Running around on Adrift, my weapons are a Carbine and an Energy Sword. I see someone popping up on the radar, so I switch to my sword and sprint around the corner, only to get hit by a charged boltshot. How is it far that he killed me with a weapon that he simply got instantly when he respawned, while I had to pick it up/get it in an ordnance drop.
Then, on Solace. I picked up a SAW, spot an enemy and start spraying him with bullets. He takes cover, but with his shields down and health already damaged, I move in for the kill, only to be killed in a single shot without being able to defend myself. I understand this if he would have a Scattershot, or Shotgun or whatever, but the fact that you can do this with a weapon you required off-spawn just doesn't seem right to me.
Feel free to argue and disagree, but please, keep it civil

I don't really care but for people who make machinima's it really sucks.
-
they're not going to turn it off. If they would they would turn it off for the whole game because no one likes them. But you don't see them doing that. So action sack is going to suck like the rest of the game. Sorry
They already did once with team snipers so I really don't get what you're trying to make clear.

I can understand you dont like H4 that much but Reach is still much, much worse.
-
Why would you want that if you can whack people around with a big-ass hammer.
-
Halo 3, they took away dual-wielding
wait what

Pro's:
-Graphics
-Campain Story
-New weapons and vehicles
-Maps generally well designed
-Spartan Ops
-Custom Loadouts (Yes, I actually like it. Not that I missed it in the passed games, but a game needs to change now and then).
-Dominion
-CTF changes
-Instant respawning on slayer game types\
-Join in progress system
Cons:
-Hardlight Shield
-Binary Rifle
-DMR being a bit OP when compared to BR (DMR is much more versitile and has a faster kill time).
-Spawning with Boltshot (he beats me up close while I have a sword with his off-spawn secondary :S)
-Game modes (more are coming but we should have more by release)
-Campaign was kinda short and Legendary pretty easy.
-Random weapon drops
-Regicide

Obvious CoD fanboy. Halo has never had join-in-progress, why add it now? It also has never had instant respawn, why add it now? It has never had killcams, why add it now? It's always had some type of penalty for leaving, why change it now? Do you see a pattern here? The reason the game is getting so many rants is because 343 thought they were making it better. They did the complete opposite. Hopefully they listen to the community or this game, and the rest of the series of Halo are literally going down the drain.
Retarded post of the year, why call someone a CoD fanboy who comes with good arguments.
Anyway, games always change. They could just release H2 over and over again, but that would be, well.... kinda like CoD, wouldn't it?

Yes, it's a good idea. I remember playing Halo 3 and habing to win a 1v4 fight because my teammates left.
I remember playing Reach and leaving because I was playing a 1v4 fight and getting banned for it (oh god, the horrors).

Stealth pilot, I agree with the fact that it isn't just copying cod, but i think that halo 4 is less of a halo game, I don't like most of the features, but people are just comparing it to cod because it's the most well known game that has those mechanics in at the moment.
The game needs new features though. It'll be like CoD if they don't.

Double team? SWAT? Snipers? Action Sack? Stockpile? One Flag? Neutral Flag? Bomb? FFS, they showed Griffball in a presentation of some sort haven't they?
Why can't I play them yet
-
That doesn't make it LIKE CoD. It uses certain options/mechanics that are also in CoD, but in gameplay it is nowhere near it except you have to kill people by shooting them.
-
Just because you can make your own classes doesn't make it CoD. I personslly think it's a nice adittion to the game. This game will become like CoD if they make the same game over and over again, and most people around here seem to want that. So 343i, please make more Halo 2's for the next five years!
Ps. the drop in - drop out system doesn't make it like cod either. Plenty of games have it.

Never played Halo 2 online.
Halo 3's was nearly useless.
Halo ODST's was good but it sucked against shields/armor.
Halo Reach's was OK but it's recoil was enormous.
I think that, overall, they did the best job on the H4 Magnum in any Halo game so far. The weapon is precisely what it's supposed to be: a backup weapon, a secondary, which is easier to use in close quarters then rifles, but not easier than automatic weapons.
