    Gave the map a look in Forge. Saw some issues.
     
    - Clutter: This is the issue I noticed the most. There are plenty of areas in your map where you would place cover just for the sake of having cover. This makes those areas quite cluttered. I found that the crates were the ones contributing to clutter the most.
     
    Remember. Cover in a competitive map should be structural.
     
    - Aesthetics: This deosn't really affect gameplay but I'll say it anyway. But this map just doesn't stand out aesthetically. Mostly because you used so many different pieces. Although I understand that this may be because you're running out of budget and pieces.
     
    There are many pieces in this map where the pieces overlap and don't fit together like they should. An example would be the Ramp, Stunt floor in Purple. It doesn't loo very pretty, does it.
     
    But for a map to be top-notch aesthetically, it must be neat, clean, and piece usage should be somewhat consistent.
     
    - Too far: You can't get to the yellow platform from the Rock 3s when not sprinting. I like to think that when one is designing a competitive map for Halo, it should be designed for no-sprint. This means that jump goes against Halo's core-gameplay. But that's just me.

     

    Actually it's not just me. A lot of forgers believe so. You should join us. :)

  2. This looks like it has some really interesting settings! I will DL, and come back for feedback, or praise! An overview screenshot of the map would be great for this submission as well! If you had time!

    1.1 UPDATE:

     

    -The suppressor, magnum, and plasma pistol have been taken out of the map.

    -There is a rock path that links both nedder spawns.

    -2 Frag Grenades have been added to the rock path. (45s)

    -There is now one plasma grenade at each base instead of two.

    -The initial spawn glitch has been fixed.

    Atom is a rare forerunner like structure found in a once unknown water territory. Investigators have gathered several types of forerunner technology.

    Although the middle of the map is the most vulnerable place to be, Holding this area will lead you to victory in slayer. Atom also has some similar qualities to a map called "Nexus" from halo reach, which have been changed to alter the gameplay. There are 2 main ways to get to the center of the map which is through the "Sniper Hall" and "Top Purple", however there are a multitude of tactical jumps that can be performed to get there as well such as jumping on the rock that's in the water or jumping on the large crate located next to the neddler spawn.

    As shown above there are three main ways to get to the base. Two on the side, one in the front. The other and faster way to get on the base is by jumping on the two struts located in front of the base.

  4. This map looks pretty well made. The scenery is nice and the vertical aesthetics look amazing. I also like the simplistic design of the map. The only thing I'm concerned about is the pallet jump gimmick. Yes, its a pretty interesting gimmick but when or if the player destroys it, it limits the player access to a part of the map for a short but that's just me. Other than that, the map looks great.

  5. I mostly agree but I do understand that he's encouraging me. :/ IMO

    By that, you are saying that he shouldn't let anyone tell him if there's something wrong about his map.

     

    By saying that, I think you're telling him to reject feedback from other people who may have a different view of the map.

     

    Or is that not what you meant?

  6. Well, have I got some feedback for you mate. I really love this map. Some things I love about this map the darkness, name, scenery and just how it's created.     -Several of scenic objects have been added for visual effect 

    -Both crates near gravity lifts have been changed to a "Fixed" position

    -Two bank inclines have been added to the bottom ramps

    -King of the Hill is now functional on this map.

    Eminence is a complex-like storage center that has been abandoned. What leaves behind are an array of weapons from both the UNSC and the Covenant. The base is symmetrical on both sides.

    Although both bases are visible from each other, killing someone off spawn is not an easy feat due to the amount of cover each base consist. Both bases have a needler and 2 pulse grenades with a railgun "Bottom Yellow" (More weapon stats below). There are three main ways to navigate through the map: Going through both "Orange or Purple Room" or "Bottom Yellow". A way across the huge pit is by going through "Yellow Bridge", which gets you to either "Orange or Purple Room". As for respawns, there are 7 main places to respawn, one being on the base and the others on the sides of the pit. You only spawn on your side unless it is FFA.

    Storage is a map recommended for 8 - 16 players, with a 2 level playing field.  In order to play this map, you must have the Forge Island DLC.

     

    The weapons Include:

    1 Energy Sword

    1 Saw

    1 Speed Boost

    2 Sticky Dets

    2 Needlers

    2 Pulse Grenade x2

     

    Red Base

    Each base have 4 ways to get to the top and a tunnel below. The sticky Det spawns on top of the base every 2 minutes. The needler and pulse grenades are found on the sides of the bases. The crates are the only sources of cover at each base.

     

    Orange Building

    There are multiple ways to get to this area. You can go up the ramp, the gravity lift, or jump on the 2x2 pillars. The orange bridge has very little cover (Don't stay there too long). The energy sword and the speed boost are places in this area.

    Entirety is a simplistic 4v4 map that is compatible with slayer and king of the hill. There are only red and blue spawns on this map and you only spawn on your side of the map.

     

     

     

    In a game of ctf, it is very effective to run the flag through the middle portion of the map. However, the other team may catch you off guard. There is also a jump up to each of the bases.

     

     

     

    The weapons on this map include:

    1 Sniper Rifle

    1 Rocket Launcher

    2 Magnums

    4 Sticky Grenades

    2 Pulse Grenades

     

     

     

     

    This is the first version of the map just in case I need to make changes to it.

    Game Type: Slayer, King of the Hill (MLG Settings recommended)

    Hydrant is recommended for 2-4 players (for 1v1's and 2v2's). It is a symetrical map with a 2 story playing field. There is a neutral sniper, plasma pistol, and active camo. This map also has a King of the hill setting as well. Note that the respawns are random so you won't get spawn traped, however, the initial spawns are on each side.

     

    Weapons:

    2 Grenade launchers (2 spare clips) (120 second respawn)

    1 Sniper (1 spare clip) (120 second respawn)

    2 DMR's (2 spare clips) (30 second respawn)

    2 Magnums (2 spare clips) (30 second respawn)

    1 Plasma Pistol (30 second respawn)

    1 Active Camo (180 second respawn)

    2 Plasma Grenades (30 second respawn)

     

    Other:

    1 Health Pack (30 second respawn)
