    Since you get better by practicing and playing lots of halo counts as practicing, I'd have to say that, yes, that is how it works.

    Then you haven't been around halo for very long, I have seen plenty of inheritors on reach that were terrible and I've seen tons of people in playlists in h3 with well over 2k exp in the playlist and only in the 20s. Some people are awful and will never get better.

    The reason so many people liked reach is that they could actually level up without having to have any decent amount of skill

    So my friend and I were discussing how halo 3 has become a game with only 500+ people on it. The thing is we loved the matching making for halo 3, it was accurate and you required to actually be good in order to go up a rank. So we came to the conclussion that YES halo 3 rank DOES MATTER...unlike halo reach rank..now im not bashing... but in halo reach all you have to do is sit there or just play the game megerly and you will end up with maybe 1000 credits each time... Now then yes there are credit banes and all that good stuff, but it's honestly hard to tell when people just arent good at the game and when people are cheating... With this conclusion my friends and I miss the halo 3 match making and we are all so happy to hear the announcment or Operation Populate Halo 3 day which is April 7th. There is a special emblem that you can put on as well to signify that you are part of the event. You wont get anything out of it, just good, clean, fun... and maybe some rage moments.. but hey its all in good fun ...l

    Due to gb coming back and many pros coming back and the fact that people are playing h3 to "warm up" for h4, there are about 40k people playing on 3 now daily. While reach usually has 70-80k people, 5 year old game vs 2 year old game. Halo 3 is doing much better in that perspective

    And when 3 was 2 years old it still had 150k people on every single day

    Halo 3 can't be shut down by 343, only Microsoft can do that. H3s servers are "watched" by a bot. And the only reason h2 was shut down wasn't because of the amount of people on it but the fact that Microsoft shut down all the Xbox original live games. Honestly, where do some of you get your information? Or are your posts merely assumptions?

     

    As much as all of us loved Halo 3, the servers are just to underpopulated for MS to spend money to keep up. If Halo 3 still had as many people on the servers as it did in its prime, then it would be a different story.

    Right now there are at least 20-40k people on every day, on a 5 year old game.

    Versus reach with a population of about 80ish k people on a good day, and thats a 2 year old game.

    Halo 3 is doing much better than reach in this perspective and read my other post concerning h3 servers being shut down

    We need the servers to be like H3. With a ranking system so that the players that want to have fun (Social) and for the more competitive players (Ranked) to give them the challenge they deserve. The idea of quitting out and someone replacing you is absurd. Unless it is only for specific Social playlist otherwise the majority of the competitive halo players will move on to a better game.

    I imagine that we will. Since Halo 3 it has become a staple of the Halo multiplayer experience. Plus being forced to play awful maps like Mt. Lam Lam would be awful in today's video game world when the solution is so easy.

    Halo 4... feels a LOT like Halo 3. So if you had good memories of Halo 3 (I for one do, and AM still playing Halo 3 with my friends (screw Reach! No offense!) so uh yeah. If anyone wants to add me just send a friend request to my gamertag and we will play Halo 3 together! P.S Make sure you have the Mythic Disk if you want to play with me! :3
