My most ideal forge map would have to be a flat island where you could toggle it's size, the amount of trees, mountains, rivers, and hills it has. As well as it's biome; grassy, snowy, desert-y, ect.

It's new name is Settler. If you haven't seen this map variant yet it's at 1:18:02 of the IGN two hour gameplay.
The commentators in the video say it's the spiritual successor to Blood Gulch. However it's on a much smaller scale within the forge map Ravine.
I think with the combinations of cliff sides and caves, this map could be a lot of fun.
What are your thoughts?

Looks like a lot of classic Halo maps combined.

This is a great example of dynamic lighting in contrast the the Cage from Reach. Love it. Looks beautiful, though I wonder how it plays with the new mechanics?

CoD 4.
Banjo Kazooi: Nuts and Bolts.

Halo is my favorite.
But I love CoD, and will be playing both games.

Thanks so much for this!

Could there be a chance of the mammoth and hornet making an appearance in future DLC?
-
Trust me. These will be elegantly constructed shortly after release. If 4 has a file searching system like Reach did, you'll be able to play all your favorite throwbacks no problem.
-
I would like to see the DLC include elephants, or mammoths.
-
Looks like some of the pieces are map exclusive. Hopefully you'll be able to forge every object listed throughout all the forge maps.

Impact.

They might have a driveable one in campaign as an easter egg again. Or even cannon, they haven't shown off any of the big vehicle based missions.
-
If they intend to add anything more to toys, they should add the spartan dolls from Anniversary.
-
The most exciting thing I find about this is the ability to forge dominion themed maps.
I wonder if it'll be possible to make a dominion/flood hybrid game type. If so I sense a lot of castle/base defense maps in our future.

@ 3:50 Bane of my existence get thee behind me Satan!
By the looks of it the Concussion rifle returns, under what new name I do not know. Personally this is the first I've seen of it in all of the game play I've watched, not sure about you all. So I apologize if this is old news.
What are your thoughts of it's return? Yea or nay? As long as it is not as OP as in Reach, I'll be fine.
-EDIT- Apparently it retains the name, "Concussion Rifle".

Love your idea to remake boarding action! It looks like you'll have plenty of room width/length wise. Not sure about height limits though?
I really like impact. I just think the simple base structure that sits on the main asteroid could have been made with forge, and therefor removed for personal preference.
-
Speaking of flying vehicles, I'm still curious whether or not the Falcon/Hornet will be making a return.

This is your best answer OP. Though it can be fun to spam recent players with invites at random, good way to meet some cool people.

I would love a driveable Pelican. This idea is not new though, and I don't think it would be feasible. Most of the multiplayer maps just aren't big enough for a pelican.
What if instead the Pelican was a forgeable aesthetic piece? For example, the crashed pelican from Valhalla. (Or Ragnarok)

My vote was for "okay".
Personally I prefer to make small to medium sized team based slayer or objective themed maps. So most of the maps are perfect for me as I have plenty of freedom to work away from already defined regions of the maps.
However I do occasionally build BTB maps, and it seems that most of the areas to build a larger scale map are quite limited or already defined. My best guess is making a larger scale map that is unique is going to be more of a challenge.
Though I can't say for sure, as I have not played the game yet. I would also like to note the POV of the fly-through video does not precisely exhibit to us the full extent of these map's boundaries.
-EDIT- And another thing. Really BIG maps tend to be really BAD maps. (In my opinion. But who cares about that, right?)

I'm more of a lone wolf, but sometimes it can be fun to run with the pack.

For some reason I was uninterested until you said there weren't any incentives.
I guess I enjoy a bit of faith. My gamertag is CatTrumpet if you'd like to add me. Whether or not I'm a "forge master" is completely up to you to decide; as I'd be happy to show you some of my work on Reach.
Blood Gulch returns?

I don't think it'll ever live up to Blood Gulch, but it has potential to be fun.
