Tyranitar's ability, Sand Stream, instantly creates a sandstorm upon release, which initiates Garchomp's ability, Sand Veil, making it mor evaiseve in a sandstorm. and, thanks to the permanent sandstorm, all rock type team members get a boost in their SP.DEF so Tyranitar becomes a very tough.
