You mean not properly polish and finish the game, cut out a lot of things, and not test the game properly to check for bugs and glitches? I don't know about you, but if they "followed the ways of Halo 2", I'd be very very disappointed.
follow as in gameplay/engine. halo 2 was easily one of the best fps ever, and i along with many others played the campaign over and over and over. obviously they are going to polish graphics and bugs. LOL. why would i literally be talking about remaking the game??

Are these people stupid or what ? Let's take Halo 2 to the 360 and call it Halo 3. Let's remove all of the features that made Halo 2 great i.e clans, superjumps, the maps and Team Snipers. That should really boost the Halo franchise lol

Why oh why oh why is the Reach Engine even worse than Halo 3 ? It has become a kids cartoon. The weapons are awfull aswell.
You need to speak up people, before Halo is gone forever, because THESE PEOPLE DO NOT REALISE THAT HALO 2 SHOULD HAVE BEEN KEPT ALIVE and given a new lease of life.
Oh by the way, if you do ever decide to try and save Halo, DO NOT BRING BACK HALO 2 WITHOUT SNIPERS, CLANS, SUPERJUMPS AND THE SAME MAPS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT USE THE REACH ENGINE, DO NOT CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE, WE'RE SICK OF IT, IT IS JUST GETTING WORSE AND WORSE AND WORSE. ALL WE ASK IS FOR HALO 2 WITH BETTER GRAPHICS AND NO BLUE-SCREENS.
P.S I havn't finished yet :-) no silly jet-packs, rediculous noises, grenades that go way too far, stupidly fast moving characters with silly flames here there and everywhere ! Halo is not the X-Men ! Let's have some realism back please !
amen to this brotha, totally agree with absolutely everthing you have said. and at this point, 343 knows what they have to do to make halo 4 amazing. not sure how they could fail...

Theres a hundred other threads about this and the answer is no. Leave them to rot in halo reach. Leave them there forever.
YES. armor abilites, reticle blooming, and pretty much the whole engine of halo reach should be left to rot. although falcon punching is amusing.

I played halo since Halo 2s release 7 years ago. When Reach came out I quit. They lost a dedicated fan. And I can tell you one big part of my decision was the ranking system. You werent rewarded for how good you are. You werent credited for all the hard work and long days of playing and practicing to get better. You were rewarded for losing, just the same amount for winning. There is no justification for that. Its a noob friendly game that doesnt reward the skilled players.

id be happy with halo 2 engine for halo 4. they need to get back to the basics of halo. no stupid armor ablities and fancy weapons. simplicity was what made halo such a successful series. and i agree bungie tried to please way too many people in reach.

just keep it original. if too many are added and you earn a medal everytime you spawn it takes away the fulfillment you get when you earn a difficult metal.
