  1. yea i don't mean anything bad but for grifball i feel that it has to be spawnkilling considering there are only 4 ppl on a team. also to skumgummi.........

    my best killstreak is 24 and iv gotten it like 5 times....... cant get tht untouchable :angry:

  2. i liked the movie, anyone else notice the reference to the other planet of the apes movie, the men blasting off to mars, and then the newspaper saying they were lost in space. this was a lead up to the people coming down from space to find the planet of the apes. also, i liked the movie and ave it 5 stars. i don't think they army came on the bridge because it would take a good amount of time for anyone in that city to convince the military that super smart chemically tested apes are over running their police force......

  3. yes, i think that the thread for complaints is a good idea, as i think there are already too many threads complaining about the same thing. there are at least 3 complains about bloom and AAs.

     

    also, im not completely sure that 343 can change halo reach, and if they can this is my mistake. But, i think that players shouldn't complain on halo reach, just put their complaints into a suggestion, and post that on the halo 4 fourm. for example, instead of petition for no sword block on halo reach, say there should be no sword block in HALO 4, as this would most likely be more effective considering that you are on the 343 website.

  4. So, I don't know if this is a topic already, but I thought it would be fun to start a topic where you put the settings for your own custom games in here. What the players are like, specific maps for it, everything. So I'll start.

     

    Gametype: Bum Fights

    Every player spawns on a small map, like a satellite dish way up in the air, and spawn with random weapons. The game goes to 50 for 2-3 people, 75 for 4-5 people, and 100+ for 6+. They also get to choose between armor abilities at the beginning. Let the mayhem commence.

    i think that this gametype would be just like a foesta attack, only it would be more crazy since you wouldn't have room to go anywhere. if someone gets a kill weapon idk how this would go........ maybe im just against fiesta attack because i never spawn with good weapons.

     

    my idea: gametype: Hog potato

    map: city streets

     

    so, i didn't make this gametype. i have it downloaded and what it is is its on insane, and is oddball, only the oddball is a warthog and you score points as you are in the warthog. in this version though, instead of the entire team going for the warthog this would be in a city, with limited room to drive around on the streets, but places for team members to snipe people in the warthog, stun it, so, instead of everyone chasing the warthog. i'm currentely making this and would appreciate ideas.

  5. im not sure if this has already been mentioned/asked, but i couldn't find anything. how does the ranking here go, how many posts do you need to reach each rank? to help new users, (like me) maybe people who have had an account for a while and are up to a high rank can say how many posts it take to reach each rank, even if you only have a little idea, it would help to have a baseline to think about.

  6. i think that they should have something where your skill the the game determins the amount of credits you recieve. no more slot machine, completion bonus ext. you should get bonuses for each kill you get and each medal. i mean i really HATE to make halo anything like COD but i think that the cod exp could work for halo 4. where if you get a headshot, killing spree, multikills, ext. you get extra credits, and the credits are sitll how you would rank up. i think that this could work.

  7. vehicle color customization would be pretty cool

    im not sure how that would work. i mean what would happen, there would be a purple banshee in front of you and you would get in it and it would turn green?

  8. we are pretty good at getting a full lobby, as most of my friends have halo reach. we play a lot of hot pursuit maps, and i am usually the host. i have so many custom games, it takes me a few minuets to find one map. halo 3 classics are always good, (halo on halo, frogger, dodge ball, rainbow road, ice cream man, sacrifice, and of course 5 chambers, ext.) there's also infection, race maps are always good when you have a small lobby, or im just playing with my friends. i love the new insane gametype as there are so many options. hog potato is a great custom game where its like king of the hill only a warthog is the hill. each player has 2 sticky, and a grav hammer. jump rope is good, its sort of like funslide/speed only opposite,where the zombies try to spatter you, and you can't move, only jump. a good game to play with 2-4 ppl is achievment horse maps on forge. invastion is also a favorite for big lobbies. undead village and not another ambush are good.

     

    sorry, if i just put a randomly jumbled list. like i said i have a huge amount of custom games, and so i ended up just listing on. i could make a list a mile long, but i think that would be too much. anyway, if you want to play some great halo reach custom games, or figure out what some of the games i mentioned are add me, GT agent sensi foo.

  9. i think this is a good idea. 3000 credits is a lot though, because when someone completes all of the daily challenges they would receive a total of 12k credits, which is a lot to earn in one day off of only credits. i think that this would be the best if they specified the challenges to the game type. for example, there would be no earn 30 kills in invasion matchmaking, as that is not the objective to invasion. the challenges would be capture the core, kill 10- people in an objective, ext. this way the challenges are directly related to the objective of the game. more options, score a goal in action sack, capture a flag, spend 1 min. inside of a hill in one game of crazy king. overall, i think this is a good idea

  10. hey everyone here that is a halo fan has to have seen rooster teeth in one way or another. maybe you've seen their achievement horse, achievement hunter, and what about their famed red vs blue? well, rooster teeth had an agreement with bungie, and they were pretty good with bungie. but now that bungie isn't making the halo series what happens to these? There can't be an achievement horse or red vs blue without halo. so, does 343 studios intend to link with rooster teeth, because i personally love rooster teeth, and it would be a shame to not be able to see what they do with halo 4, maybe more achievement horse, or more red vs blue. 343 please do something to keep rooster teeth going

  11. i think that they may be adding more people to the maximum lobby, although i think that 64 would be too much as like said the lag issue. i think that 10v10, and definitely max 12v12, think about the spawn killing issue with a 32v32 game. you wouldn't be able to step out of your spawn without getting shot at no matter how big the map is

  12. why are people always complaining and petitioning, no sword block, armor colors bloom, i don't think that people should post these things here.

    1. 343 studios is NOT bungie, and cannot change anything about halo reach as it is completely owned by bungie.

    2. if you do want to pointlessly complain about something that is not going to get changed then go to bungie.net and complain there.

    3. if you do think that you have a valid point complain to 343 studios just to make sure that these things won't be in the upcoming halos ( halo CEA and halo 4)\

    SO stop complainging because 343 can't change halo reach

  13. yea i didnt really like bnet fourms, i feel that the 343 community is generally nicer, and if not smarter. since halo reach a lot of kide have begun to play halo reach and it pisses me off. if 343 can upgrade this site so that i can see my medals, stats, and online friends like on bungie.net il probably completely stop using bnet

  14. so, in halo 3 and halo reach there have been helmets that were really hard to unlock, recon for halo 3 and haunted for halo reach. we know that for recon you had to get the vid master achievements, and haunted, although not proven, is pretty much believed that if you buy all helmets and attachments you will unlock haunted helmet, possibly need to be an inheritor. both of these helmets were near impossible to get, and if not they definitely took their fair share of time to unlock. so, what do you think you want for halo 4. do you want another super helmet that shows experience with the game? if you do do you think it should be harder, and what ideas do you have for how to unlock the new helmet, and what do you think it should look like?

  15. Make melee 3 hits, 2 for shields, since I doubt punching a shield of any kind would disable it, especially just one punch, and one punch to kill them when they have no shields. Also, if you hit someone with really low shields, it also does some health damage. So if you shoot out someones shields, then go to melee them, they still die. Only melee to shield damage is changed.

     

    no, it should not require 3 melee hits to kill, i mean i think that a spartan can take out a shield in one punch. but, i do agree that the melee should have some sort of set amount of damage, as with if someone only has a small amount of shields their health should be damaged allowing you to back up and shoot them to death, opposed to always only taking off sheilds even if they only have an inch of Shields left.

    if you are reading this, put this in your game! DO NOT FALL INTO THE TRAP BUNGIE DID! I've checked and these are the most popular ideas that the fans want to see in your games. I understand that some might not be possilbe, but that is what made Halo great to begin with. It took the idea of a video and redefined it. It made everyone who played it go "holy ****" and other game companies cry like little babys. Halo was the top dog, the one to beat. Bungie made the mistake of not continually changing the idea ofa video game, exept in the storyline, and so they abandonded what made Halo so great. Please,for the sake of the millions of Halo fans, keep the Halo 1 mentality. Blow the game outof perportion! Place these and what else you think of into your game and Halo shalretake its old title, wher if you arn't obbsessed with it you will look like a dumba**.

     

    1. Put all of the campagin things into the online on huge maps. Pelicans, Phantoms, Scrabs, AA Wraths, Ect.

    2. Put in armor that needs only achements (make a few hard like Hyabusa in Halo 3). Also have some that need cr and achements or cr and rank.

    3. Have each armor piece effect you. EOD protects against explosions, but slows you down. CQB protects against shotguns and improves energy sword deflects. Make the knife an attachment that improves hand to hand (and assassinations). Also, many people want custom armor.( don't know how that would work, but it would be sweet and I'm sure that 343 can do it.)

    4. Forgable Firefight maps. Taking custom games to a whole new level.

    5. Flood AI gametype. Somthing to make COD shove "Zombies" up its... you get the point. Also make it possable to win, hard but beatable.

    6. Ground up forging. You can choose the terrain bulidings/ships (people want online space battles, connected to the ground if possible.) Thes style should be custom as well. (Covanant, Human, Flood, Forerunner and whatever else you guys have in store.)This includes firefight. It would be amazing to havea grunt filled Rupe Goldburg machine.

    7.AI integrated online play. For example, take Invasion, add AI's to both sides ( hunters, grunts, brutes, marines, ODST's, everything)aqnd let them be able to pick up objectives (bombs, Data cores, Ect.) and fullfill them like a player would.

    8.First person options for vehicles. (I've always wondered what splatered grunt juice looks like on your visor)

    9. Weapon inprovements. (supressors, sights that allow for headshots onguns such as the AR, and other thing that you can think of.)

    10. Custom Campagin. Let custom maps have theatrics and campain stlye objective the cam be limked so players can make their own story.

    11. Larger maps will need larger teams. My friends have sugested 24-32 players. Even more if you decide to link air and land battles.

    12. In field weapon and vehicle customization/improvements. Also ground up vehicles in forge would be a god send.

    13. 1st Person Presentaion. Halo's stroy is the best I've yet seen. If you keep the actions the Cheif does in first person, this little touch will add a lot of epic effect to it. To bring back Halo you must blow Battlefield 3 out ofthe water. Remember, they have only Earth. You have an ENTIRE galaxy AND the Forerunners! With a different graphics engine and better presentaion of cinimatics you will have spawned a game that truly gives justice to the Halo franchiseand will leavean ipression on the hearts of millions.

    14. have destroyable bulidings and ships. That way, if I want to make an assult map that has its target in a buliding, so when the bomb goes it collapses on itself, it can happen. (Make this an OPTION, that way you can have both!)

    15. Improve the music!!! Halo 3 and Halo3 ODST's music sent chills down my spine. Reach's not so much, many other others agree. (Are you going to get Martin O'Donall and Salvitorie (forgot his name) to make the music again? I think they're the best pair sence Cheif and Cortona.

     

    I hope you find this advice helpful, for I've worked many hours finding this information out. I do pray you use it and get Halo back on its feet

     

    i like most of your ideas, such as customizable firefight maps, and i like many other people have had the same idea. i also agree with the obvious forge upgrades, music (to be more like halo 3) building ext. the only thing that i dont agree with would be customizable campaign, as you would be able to change part of the halo story, even if you only change on little part. i also don't agree with the armor pieces having specific effects. halo has always been good because unlike other games your rank doesn't exactly help you, allowing the game to stay fair and even, and no advantage being given to players who have had the game longer or played longer opposed to the advantage being given to the player with the msot skill. i don't think that they should add this.also, when you talk about weapon attachments, i feel as though you would be making halo more like COD, and that the weapons are fine as they are, and they should just add more weapons to halo 4. lastly, i don't know about the AI integrated multiplayer. i think that it is a good idea, however it would be too far if the AIs can capture objectives. also, there will be no invasion in Halo 4, as we won't be facing the covenent, or flood. everyone knows that the main question for halo 4 is WHAT THE HELL WILL WE BE FIGHTING?. overall, i think that you had some relaly good ideas, and pretty much summed up what people are looking for, but in some aspects i think you went too far.
