  1. Thanks for the HUD. I sent a message to the random person with a headset in my game and he told me they still won so that's a plus IMO. Again thanks for the clarity.
  2. Currently pending my video of it that i snapped with my X1. Long story short, my teammates and I were going neck and neck the entire game and right as my team started to gain a decent lead, screen froze, everyone had X's on their emblems and I was returned to lobby. not sure if we can drop names on this forum but the BS meter is high.
  3. Because as far as I can tell there really isn't one. I'll list off a few to make it easier to reply to. Lore wise Elites are in the sims with the Spartans. Balance in hitboxes is irrelevant in non ranked playlists aka Warzone and even if it was you guys had over 3 years to work on the game so...wth. Lack of resources is a poor statement when you meaninglessly change the look of various things that don't need to be changed (I.E new BR and Wraith looks) Saying that you never knew that people wanted Elites is like cutting off your foot to save your toes. If disrupts your vision of a new Halo then please say so. It would let us know and understand what's going on alot better and stop trying to rip your heads off. Hell, I just stopped a few Braves from scalping anyone who was wearing a 343i shirt. Not a joke people are pissed. It surely can't be because it's too confusing for players because that would mean you think that everyone to ever hold a controller is a babbling idiot. Who wouldn't be offended by it. Again, cutting off foot to save toes, insulting your fan base doesn't get anyone anywhere. Oh but we get to go to Sangheilios. Doesn't really matter much because, in game there won't be much of a appeal to this. Change the number of rocks in the sky at night and you can say were on any planet. Listen I get the whole req cards being able to be bought thing. IMO I find that to be an amazing turnout for free DLC, gotta get that post launch cash somehow right? Personality I've never had a problem with microtransactions unless they give a player a massive boost above others. I remember a guy on Halowaypoint talking about how in the H5G gameplay shown at E3 that the grunt screaming "I regret everything" was 343i's apology for their mistakes. At the time all I could think of was "What kind of message was 343i trying to get out when Locke gunned down that wounded elite saying he'd bow to no heretic?" It really raises the middle finger in my face. I won't be getting Halo 5 purely because of the message 343i has given. Yeah 343i has made changes from Halo 4 but those changes were really minor and they've created a new problem with balancing the Spartan Abilities with Vehicle combat. Dear good 343i will get their anus ripped out for that. BTW Warzone feels a little underwhelming. Two things it needs. 1. More AI casually running around. 2. The ability for the AI to win. Like every second a boss is alive they gain points for their people and every kill an AI gets raises it's teams score. Victory Defeat Draw Shame
  4. and 343i throws it away. Why does 343i not want elites in Halo so badly? They went out of their way to make it canon that Elites and Spartans with with and against each other in the simulations but try their best to not allow them in Halo 5. They've had plenty of time to add this feature into the game but have just chosen not to. Why? Why is not having elites in Halo 5 such a problem? Is player variety to much to ask for, or wanting to play as an alien just going to far. 343i even decided to make humanoid Prometheans and still chose not to add them into MP. I can't be the only one banging their head into their desk thinking about this. Is 343i really going to do the bare minimum when adding player customization. There are indie games with far better customization options than we get in Halo. People with less than 1% of the resources of 343i are managing to put out better content. WTF, how is that thought even conceivable? MIND=BLOWN by such a thought. I need to ascend to a higher state of being to understand such a a thing. I'l see you all in 9.3 billion years when that happens, brb.
  5. When i first saw Spartan abilities i was curios of what 343i meant and wanted to see if it was just another excuse to keep elites out of Halo gameplay. (which so far all of them have been poor) After a bit of watching BETA gameplay and general curiosity I just pondered the interactions with vehicle combat in H5G and it just annoyed me. Warthogs getting ground pounded, quick player movement to cross maps(limiting vehicle need), hovering to avoid vehicle attack radius, boosting out of the way of splatters and tank rounds and shoulder charging a vehicle to flip it over. Just imagine having movement speed up to 150% and everyone having a Jetpack on a map like Sandtrap or Blood Gulch CTF. People would probably rely more on the more agile and less noticeable than the clunky and obviously visible. I have heard talk about Spartan abilities having an off option so that would be cool to have on BTB but it seems like that would add a weird gap. Along with what would be the defining line of "too big for spartan abilities?" Some large maps are actually pretty close quarters. Now that I think about it, how will Spartan abilities work in elevation maps? Maps that are more vertical then they are horizontal might just have to get internally removed from the game because stairs and elevators would see alot less use. In Reach and 4 not everyone had a jetpack but now that high elevation is for everyone how much of a titanic change is this for Halo. Looking at how destructive this could be has pushed me alot closer to the Halo 3.5ers logic. The mobility path isn't the key to making a modern game. While games like League have a crazy mobility creep coming up soon that will destroy the game Halo doesn't need it. Halo is an arena shooter and adding too much reliability built into to the player in an arena shooter, is like having a cheat sheet with only half of the answers. i might get some hate for this but, I think 343i should just look back at what was wrong with Halo 3 and stick to that formula. Nothing was inherently godawful about that game CE or 2 but drastic changes were made to it. TL;DR Maybe the golden square should of stayed The Golden Triangle. Not only is the triangle the most sturdy shape in nature but saying "The Golden Triangle" is a million times better than the golden square. Makies it sound like you're about to preach about a balanced breakfast. BTW, Please http://i.imgur.com/0m4Gq.jpg and sorry for any mistakes, kind of tired.
  6. Sorry for the lack of replies I just got home from the hospital.Either I think it's best that I ignore twin mainly because our conversation strayed from the topic and has water downed the thread. The points are that elties aren't impossible to shoot from the rear but have had other problems and not having them in Halo is just not right in alot of peoples eyes. Many people have great memories playing as the honor bound split chins and don't want to see them ripped out of the game just because of issues that can be easily solved in a modern game. Hell I'm sure Twin himself can solve this issue if given the proper tools, so i'm sure someone who's chosen what he does as a career path can get it done just as easily. Like I've said it before, Elites being in Halo 5 is a deciding factor for quite alot of people getting Halo 5. Not only because a favorite element has been taken out of the games for too long but the others who agree that ignoring an entire section of the community for thee years is just a terrible sign for what lies ahead.
  7. Atleast you sited you info but I never argued anything about the necks only that headshotting from the rear is possible. Along with that I also agreed that a new model would be the best option for Sangheili be in the game because of the issues that came with them that I was unaware of. I said Get Good on the matter of rear headshotting but nothing else. Twin said it was impossible and I told him otherwise then you showed up. Rear headshotting is just a skill that has to be gained while that literal rubber necking going on in the video can't really be stopped with that model, again pointing to something like Reach style elties or just having slimmer sangheili in game for MP to fit the Spartans model. Not sure why Bungie decided to make elites so bulbous in the first place in Halo 3. Either way, elites returning has been requested alot over the past 3 years along with the largest thread on halo waypoint being about their hopeful return. That thread is actually still alive too so i think it's a pretty hard thing to ignore. I'm just waiting for the green light to burn my XB or fire the confetti cannons. If after 3 ears with not even an answer to why they won't have elties in Halo personally then none of us should be supporting 343i.
  8. It's great that he's on the brighter side of the modding community but doesn't excuse the ****** baggery. Also, that first quote actually made me lol. Good one and everything after that pretty detailed but still it's not impossible to pull off the shots if I've done it before and can display it. When i get home i'd gladly show you all but as for now our words are just words. Also can you support sources for your Bungie employee comments. it would be a much appreciated step up from Twin.
  9. Not going to lie at this point you're just boring me. Your supporting none of the info that you cling to, when both can be easily solved right now , while you're on an imaginary high horse. You're a modder big, whoop. Saying you guys are a dime a dozen is a compliment. Really, modders are the lowest form of the content creator community. All you guys do is take other people's hard (and some times lazy) work and change a few things. It's even worse when bad modders rip off the good modders assets to make their own content. That's the point that puts you just ahead the 2nd worst. Anyone who knows how to arrange a file can mod and I doubt you're one of the good ones so capable that they've made a living off of their skills. If you want to test out the issue with Sangheili either wait a couple of days for me to get home or spam my GT. I'll tell my niece to record it and assist you. Btw she was a lvl 42 in Halo 3. I guess there's no way she could be that good right since you believe that. "Bungie themselves went on to say that anything above 40 was usually a hack or a boost." You can keep making useless replies or send my GT a message/ support a link of the entire company of Bungie saying 40+ are a myth.
  10. The difference between us is, I can literally jump on Halo 3 right now and show you how easy it is to shoot an elite from the rear, while you can't support your own words. I haven't played H3 in a bit but dust can be blown off saying that players above lvl 40 most likely boosted for their ranks without any supporting evidence is breaking your horse's leg. Either way to two are beside the point of elties returning and for the greater balance. Skill or not people have had problems with it apparently. 49 or 50 Halo had a skill gap that alot of players want a return too. Also I find it a little funny seeing a "modder" complaining about boosting. People like you typically assist in this problem at one point or another than down talk it.
  11. It clearly is a point of skill if people have had no problem when others have. If you want me too i can slap down several gamertags oh my friends from halo 3 who'll all tell you what I have. Some might take awhile to respond because they've moved to the PS4 but others like the ones I play with on a daily basis will respond after asking the obvious questions. Also for that last part can I get a source for that. This is the first i'm every hearing of this and you basically just said that there is a high chance that I cheated to my rank in Halo 3.
  12. Yes it is a matter of skill because I played halo 3 for 3 years and didn't know about this problem until people were talking about the Sangheili differences in reach. I and all of the people around me never had an issue with elites from the rear. Hell we loved fighting elites because of how easy they were to headshot from the sides and front. Center mass was a headshot from the front and their heads stuck out from the sides like sore thumbs. Technically the elties were more vualndable from every other angle by your logic and were handicapped compared to Spartans.
  13. I'm ok with Reach Style or any other to be honest. Even if restricted to a single gamemode it's a step back to our glory days. I highly doubt that anyone playing at a 35+ level has had an issue fighting elites from the rear but i can see problems with people fighting in the teens and 20s. Personally i have no problem with elites reflecting their stance like in Halo 2 but other elties want the halo 3 style or Reach.
  14. As a Sangheili fan the removal of Elites was a kidney shot to me and all my friends and a big reason why they say they aren't coming back into Halo. Fans don't like being alienated as I'm sure we all know that. Certain topics have come up like balance in MP with people talking about elites being impossible to headshot from the rear. I for one just think those people need to get good because I've never had this problem. I highly doubt that level 49s were unable to land these shots and denied 50 when a 43 was fully capable and never saw the issue. If such a problem really does exist the obvious solution is limitations from ranked. Everything outside of ranked is purely for fun anyways or do what reach delivered and have split species combat games. There are several other issues like the very reasonable time constraints and Elites canonically being in War Games but I'd like to keep this post short. I've seen alot of old Halo fans take their leave from the series and alot of those people all claim that 343i is trying too hard to create their own Halo and to forget the past. An easy way to win atleast the Sangheili fans back is by adding in a feature that is purely fan service. Helioskrill isn't a bad suit of armor but no where near what is expected. So many want 343i to do good and have been let down, will this be another one of those moments?
