  1. The covenant will, but the forerunner constructs/AI shown in the trailer aren't really alive and as far as I know they only serve the purpose of whoever/whatever is controlling them. But I'm sure the living breathing forerunner will have personalities.
  2. I have strong belief that the Didact is the enemy in Halo 4 and I'll tell you why. If you watch the tenth terminal from Halo:Anniversary, this is what happens: 343 Guilty Spark: "Vexation! 100,000 years of careful maintenance and diligence! 100,000 years protecting the galaxy's future! 100,000 years spent fearing that our sacrifices - my sacrifice - was in vain!" 343 Guilty Spark: "And 16 hours after I finally make contact... This so-called Reclaimer decides to blow it all up." 343 Guilty Spark: "Oh, I am not pleased. Just as I finally discover our plan to save the galaxy succeeded, the ancient enemy is unleashed once more." 343 Guilty Spark: "Why those Reclaimers refuse to follow protocol is quite mystifying. Destroy my Installation, will they?" 343 Guilty Spark: "I shall renew efforts to make contact with the others rings immediately. This "Covenant" may be useful to me, although I don't think they fully understand what they claim to seek. Still, it makes no difference to me what they believe, as long as they do what must be done. Hmmm... I sound like her!" 343 Guilty Spark: "But what I would not give to have even a single company of Prometheans here right now. They would most certainly restore order with their trademark lethality, although...that would mean he would have to be here, too. And without the Librarian around to temper his rage, well... These Reclaimers might almost prefer the Flood." -A flash of light appears in the distance as the Pillar of Autumn's reactors detonate, blinding out the stars above. As the blast engulfs the forest, the Didact's symbol briefly appears. First, 343 Guilty Spark says he sounds like "Her". He is referring to the Librarian, who is suggested that she died as the Halo effect swept over Earth, although 343 Guilty Spark believed she in fact survived in some form. After the Human-Covenant War, a duplicate of 343 Guilty Spark uploaded his mind into an ONI ship and set a course to the Librarian's apparent location. Second, 343GS says he wishes he had a company of Promethians, but if they were there, "HE" would have to be there too. Here 343GS is obviously referring to the Didact, as he was in charge of Promethians. And with the Librarian either dead or lost, she can't control the Didact's rage, and contempt towards humanity. Also, my personal belief is that the Didact or the Forerunner would be our enemy because their belief in the Mantle and their supremacy in the galaxy was basically denied by The Timeless One, the last known precursor, who claimed that humanity was to succeed the forerunner and be the inheritors of the Mantle. Lastly, at the end of the terminal's video the Didact's symbol is shown in red, exactly as in the new trailer. Also the tagline: "An Ancient Enemy Awakens", could be only one of three things: Either the Didact/Forerunner, the Precursors, or an unknown enemy. It isn't the flood as they were somewhat eliminated at the end of Halo 3 and I doubt will return as the main enemy, it definitely isn't the covenant, and my belief is that it isn't the Precursors as they wanted us to be their successors and they are most likely extinct, or at least not in our galaxy anymore. Frank O'Connor even stated that the Forerunner were going to be more prominent going on in the Halo story. My only conclusion is that it is the Didact who is the enemy in Halo 4. Feel free to dismiss anything I said or correct any mistakes.
