Bungie recently revealed in their Weekly Update a few new details about the VIP rewards for Year One players coming with The Taken King, let's take a look!
Destiny is a sci-fi FPS with MMO elements created by Bungie and published by Activision. The game's newest expansion, The Taken King, which is coming this fall, will have a few goodies in store for the loyal players who have stuck around. On Bungie.net, a Weekly Update showcased a video which contained each of the VIP rewards, accessible to fans who have either reached light level 30, or purchased both prior DLCs. You must also own The Taken King by February 2016 to obtain any of the VIP rewards. The Founder's Pack, as it is labelled, will have it's contents easily obtainable through the multitude of vendors in the Tower. The rewards include a tan/white Ghost Shell called the Brave Ghost Shell, a mostly black striped shader called the Old Guard shader, a black Sparrow called the S-34 Ravensteel, and finally a legendary emblem called Be Brave. Another emblem, Moments of Triumph, is also currently obtainable and requires a host of Year One activities to have been completed by the launch of the major expansion. As said above, if you have previously played Destiny and either reached level 30 or bought both DLCs, you will be entitled to the rewards contained in the Founder's Pack once The Taken King drops on September 15th.

Bungie Studios has confirmed that over the next ten years, your destiny characters will transfer through games, so you won't have to worry about restarting.
Destiny, created by Bungie Studios, was released in September 2014 to a mixed reception, and to follow two expansion packs, The Dark Below and House of Wolves, were also released to further extend the game's roster of activities and content. With the future in mind, Bungie has confirmed that your playable character will carry over through the years of Destiny games, this information relaying from GameSpot.com. Destiny's lead engineer, Luke Timmins, explained that, "We certainly take it seriously that Destiny is a ten-year thing. It's a long-term thing and with these adventures that we're adding my contract to you--and any player--is that your Guardian will always be there." With this in mind, they confirm that they want you to continue on the saga as your own character, but whether weapons, gear, and other items like that will transfer along with your personal Guardian is a mystery. It is also unknown if you'll be limited to transferring only one character to future games and major expansions. The next adventure in Destiny, The Taken King, will be released in September of 2015 and Bungie has confirmed that another game is in the works. Rumor also has it that two other expansions will follow The Taken King, but details about these are unknown.

Dark Souls II is 1080p and 60fps on PS4 Remaster! (GameStop.com)
If you're like me, and you skipped out on Dark Souls II last year, you're probably a bit excited to get your hands on the Current Gen version of the game. It has been revealed by the developers that the remaster will run at 1080p/60fps on PS4. The Xbox One's resolution is still unknown to this date, but we do know the update is quite a bit better than it's Xbox 360 and PS3 counterpart, which ran at 720p/30fps. The Scholar of the First Sin bundle, which releases on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and the last generation will include the game's previous DLC content, as well as more unannounced details. The game will cost $60 and will release on April 7th.
Destiny Gets Weapon Tunes - Pulse Rifles, Fusion Rifles, etc. (Bungie.net)
Destiny has some great weapon mechanics, with the exception of a few guns being under-powered and OP in some areas, and it seems Bungie is now working to fix that. A new update is coming that will change some weapons in the game involving core mechanics and combat functions. The main issue is with Pulse Rifles, which are the most under-appreciated guns in the game due to their blatant disabilities in combat. Bungie will be increasing their damage by 9.7% and... That's it. But you could be sure Auto-Rifles and Fusion Rifles were getting damage nerfs, being knocked down to about 2.5% on the Auto Rifle side of things. Fusion Rifles will now have a wider burst spread, meaning now less of your shots will actually hit your intended target. Hand Cannons will be slightly touched up on the subject of range as to not be getting kills from halfway across the map, and Shotguns had a nerf on the PvP side but a slight buff on the PvE side. And Shotguns and Fusion Rifles will now spawn with less ammunition in the Crucible, meaning get the ammo hunt fired.
The Crew Gets Fixes and Addtions! (IGN.com)
The newest racing title coming from Ubisoft, The Crew, will be receiving a few patches as well to change some things around. Some side tweaks are ones like the frame-rate being improved while looking through your car's first person window, and other things of that matter. The game will get a new PvP race mode and 4 additional faction missions for no charge. As far as online fixes go, PvP lobbying as a whole is being improved and bugs have been fixed that made co-op a chore. UI bugs when attaching certain car parts, AI behavior (particularly from the Police), and some car handling and speed issues have been fixed as well. There are other minute changes that will be made to car design, but nothing notable that you'll be able to see. If you want the full list, head on over to the link.
In Other News: Halo 5 Beta Feedback Improvements! (343i.org)
I for one loved the Halo 5 Beta but felt a few details could be changed, and it seems I wasn't alone, but as Selfie Destruct has reported, 343i is listening to feedback from US, the fans! They released some new awesome statistics about the Beta, like the fact that there were over 1 million individual IDs, which surpassed Halo 3's Beta in the Summer before it's release. As well, they showed that the final product will have a few differences. The big one is that you can turn off ALL spartan abilities in Custom Games, as well as some weapon tuning and spartan chatter options. All of this and more can be read in his article above!

Today, Activision released some Destiny sales figures and overall statistics. Note, prepare to be blown away!
Some people hate Destiny, some people love Destiny, and some people don't care at all about the game. Either way, the game is huge, as Activision stated over at IGN.com. The game has already earned it's marketing revenue of $500 million back within it's first few days, with a current number still unknown. Activision reported that Destiny's sales played an extremely large part in their Q3 2014 and is overall one of the biggest successes this year. Over 9.5 Million players are active in Destiny daily, playing between 3 and 4 hours each day. The success has lead to work being put on future expansions like The Dark Below, and the sequel, which was confirmed by Activision's Publishing CEO. He said, "Work has also begun on future expansion packs as well as on our next full game release, we're very pleased with the launch and continuing engagement."

Today, Bungie announced a slew of new details for the new expansion to the game, The Dark Below, including an increased level cap, a new raid, and more!
Rumors and leaks spread like wild fire in the recent days surrounding the leaking of Destiny's DLC content, which is likely why Bungie has now officially revealed the DLC and it's contents. Bungie.net has the news, with an info page talking about and showing the new features. To start, the game will increase the level cap to 32, though whether this means the Light cap or that we'll be able to get to 32 normally on top of the extra ten light is unknown. What is known though is we're getting new armours and weapons reserved for these elite players, including a new Hive themed rifle and Shotgun, and a rocket decked out with an old fashioned World War II paint decor. This is so far all we've seen, so there could be more. New story missions following a new Guardian in the tower named Eris will be available. On top of all that, we'll receive new Crucible maps and most excitingly a new Strike. This strike is said to entail finding a Hive Wizard named Omnigul buried in Earth looking to enlarge the Hive army for the Hive god Crota's return. And to top this off, a new raid allowing you and the most skilled Guardians to slay their god, Crota. More details will be seen soon, but we have a confirmed release date of December 9th, 2014.

Hello everyone and welcome to... Wait... TWO WRAP-UPS IN ONE?! Yes, you read that right, because I missed posting last week's WNW, even though I finished it, I will be posting both here! Due to the sheer size however of six articles in one (five articles and one surprise actually), if you read this now you're only going to see 4 or 5. I'll edit more (or if there's five than the final one) later, I promise, but 6 articles isn't easy to do heh. Anyway, let's do this!

Total War: Attila Announced!
If you're one of the four people that wasn't disappointed in Creative Assembly enough to boycott their products, than I have great news! IGN.com reports that Total War Attila, the newest entry in the Total War franchise, has been announced! The game will feature the historical figure, Attila the Hun, and run for 60-70 years in-game. The main event in the game will be Attila's rise to power, when he is born and reaches adult-hood in 395 AD. You can play as either the Old Roman Empire or the New Roman Empire, but the most risky approach is being around the steppes in the Far East, where Attila will spawn. The only strategies are to attempt to divert Attila to enemies on the map or to defend yourself as best as possible. As well, new features have been added like the ability to raze cities when they are too damaged and a damage count from sieges to your defenses. Total War: Attila will release next year exclusively for the PC.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Nathan Drake Render Revealed
Fans of the Uncharted series by Naughty Dog have been scraping at the facets of every little detail to find some new piece of info to quench their urge, prepare to be quenched in this case. GameInformer.com reported on one of Uncharted's game developers, by the name of Kurt Margenau, posting what looks like an in-game render of Drake's face. This was posted to celebrate Naughty Dog's 30th Anniversary this week, honoring all of their past titles, (except Crash Bandicoot). It is clear that this is an upgrade, with more detail going into Nathan's face alone than ever seen in an Uncharted game. Drake looks quite a bit older as well, with a rougher face than we last saw. It is unknown how far into the game this photo is, or if more work will be done to the render, so expect changes from what we see here when the game launches next year.

Ryse: Son of Rome PC Version Removes Micro-transactions
Are you excited for Ryse: Son of Rome coming to PC? Yeah, me neither, but anyway the game will be removing the Xbox One's addition of micro-transactions according to GameSpot.com. Crytek attempted to explain how the game wasn't just cashing in on a dying title, with the removal of microtransactions, new visual features, etc. Among other things, they gave the usual explainations of improved visual textures, all the downloadable content, and all that other juicy content that no one asked for and no one wants. One actually kind of interesting new addition though is support for the Xbox One controller for the game on PC. It will launch on October 10th, so go pre-order now! Or don't, doesn't affect me.

Police Called Into Gearbox Studios for Bomb Threat
As if people weren't doing enough illegal or flat out crazy things in the gaming industry, we can now worry about car bombs near studios. This article was reported by GameInformer.com, today, Texas police were called in to the Gearbox Studios parking lot with reports of a car bomb. Randy Pitchford, who was in the building at the time, sent out a hail of tweets updating the situation as it went on. Police weren't able to find anything, however it is unclear if this was even a threat or possibly a 'Swatting' scenario, swatting being someone calling the police to an address despite nothing unusual going on, usually a form of trolling. Nothing is known besides the fact that everything is all clear at this time, though I'll update if I find more info.

So, recently as a good amount of us have been enduring the darkness and pushing it back, we've also been collection some engrams. And, the Cryptarch as the silly fellow he is never really gave up Legendary items. Thanks to Bungie hearing the plea of us guardians, here's their response to this issue.
"Cayde-6 took the Cryptarch aside and showed him a sack of doorknobs. He decoded that mystery pretty quickly.
- Legendary Engrams will always produce Legendary or better quality items, including Materials or Exotics
- Rare Engrams will always produce Rare or better quality items
- Rare engrams will have an increased chance to produce Legendary quality items"
That means our blue skinned friend won't be trolling us all for a while... Hopefully. In other news, we also have some changes to Vanguard Strikes. These will now give us Legendary/Rare Items or Engrams aside from the normal rewards you'd recieve.
We also get to see certain materials such as "Ascendant Materials" in general become Legendary to match what they are normally associated with.
NOTE: All Legendary Engrams will be turned to Rare Engrams when the patch rolls out. Here's what Bungie had to say about this -
- "Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can. But let’s be honest--even if you don’t, we all know they were blues already..."
Praise the Traveller!

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Achievements Revealed
Are you one of the six people left on the earth that is excited for the next Call of Duty? If so I have good news, as a full list of achievements for the upcoming game Advanced Warfare have been revealed, thanks to IGN.com. While I can't list all of them here, a few notable ones are Carma, which you earn by killing an enemy with a car door, Maximum Overdrive, killing 50 enemies with your Overdrive ability, and Where Are You Going, by taking out an AST with an EMP grenade. And of course alongside these you have your typical campaign completion achievements for all 13 missions, and completing the entirety on the different difficulties. As well achievements for doing certain activities with your new EXO abilities are riddled through the list. Five achievements have yet to be revealed which look to be tied to an unannounced game mode, possibly an Extinction or Zombies mode.

Bloodborne Collector's Edition and Release Date Revealed
When Bloodborne, From Software's (not from Software, the company's name is From Software, seriously) newest Action RPG from Dark Souls fame, was revealed at E3 2014, jaws were dropped and hype levels increased, so I'm sure you're just as eager as I am to find out a release date. GameSpot.com reports that at TGS this year the game was announced to have a confirmed release date of February 6, 2015 in North America and Europe. As well, a Collector's Edition was revealed, for a price of $79.99 retail price. It will include a Steelbook, the game itself, an Artbook, and the soundtrack. As well, a closed beta for the game was recently announced, with Sony Europe sending invitations. The game will release on the date above exclusively for PS4.

Destiny Breaks Twitch's Streaming Records, 20 Million Views
Destiny can't seem to get out of our minds no matter what we do, it's like Activision has created another smash hit marketing machine that will last decades, and proof of this is some new record news from Twitch. GameSpot.com gave the news that Twitch announced for Destiny, how it had broken previous streaming records. Almost 240 Million minutes of streaming gameplay was recorded for the game, and videos garnered over 20 Million views. The game had made over $325 Million in revenue in the first five days alone! It seems to have outperformed nearly every game this year, even the huge hit Watch_Dogs. Twitch's marketing executive spoke on the matter, saying, "To date, Destiny is the biggest console game launch of the year on Twitch. Our passionate community of broadcasters attracted more than 5 million unique viewers in the first week." Bungie's community manager David Dague also commented, calling it nothing short of amazing.

Bungie and Activision's newly released smash hit IP Destiny has now garnered over 500 million dollars in game sales being shipped to stores, meaning Activision has now broken even on marketing costs.
If you haven't heard someone mention Destiny, whether you've got your mind wrapped around what exactly the game is or not, you've either been living under a rock or have forgotten someone mention it, which is highly unlikely since it's been talked about nonstop. Polygon.com reports that all that talk really did work out in the end for Activision and Bungie as the game has earned over half a billion US dollars in worldwide shipping to retail stores on the game alone. This massive earning makes Destiny the biggest new game franchise launch title in history, surpassing anything before it in terms of hype. However, just because the game has been shipped to stores doesn't mean all those copies sold, but it is a good estimate as it shows the expectations companies had for the game. Activision has yet to release actual sales on the game itself, but estimate it to be quite high, possibly even beating last year's colossal Grand Theft Auto V launch. Bobby Kotick, Activision Blizzard CEO, had this to say, "This industry milestone marks another blockbuster success for our company and demonstrates our unique ability to create some of the most successful entertainment franchises in the world. The success of Destiny, along with the recent introduction of Blizzard Entertainment's Hearthstone, is further validation of our unique capabilities to create great entertainment franchises from the ground up."

In one of Destiny's new marketing campaigns, a hidden emblem has been found, and I'm going to show you the steps to get it!
Destiny has had a wide array of viral campaigns and marketing ploys, however this interactive campaign launched in partnership with Google is something special. Destiny Planet Viewer, as it is dubbed, can be visited at DestinyPlanetView.com, and it allows people to examine the planets in Destiny in depth. On each planet there are hotspots, and visiting all of them on all planets will unlock something when Destiny launches, an emblem. When you reach all of them (or use the code I'll display here if you want an easier venture) the game will give you a code, 7F9-767-F74, which is the same for everyone so just entering the code on Bungie's site is really all the effort that's needed. The unlocked emblem is dubbed 'The Sign of the Finite' and looks to be a cobalt blue patchwork emblem.

Bungie's next hit FPS Destiny will be available on the Xbox One market place for gamers to pre-load on their system before launch!
Last week, Microsoft heralded in a new feature to the Xbox One with the launch of Madden 15, pre-loading. Pre-loading allows you to download the game to it's fullest on your system before launch and when launch hits, play it with no waiting hassle. IGN.com reports that Destiny will be the next game to receive this feature, and will be available to pre-load soon. A microsoft spokesperson commented, saying, "We’re thrilled to make Destiny available for pre-order and pre-download . . . this option was available for a short period of time before the official pre-order window opened. We’ll have more details to share soon about the pre-order and pre-download window for Destiny." So far no confirmed pre-load window as he says, but I'd expect it to be open around the launch weekend, September 5th, 6th, and 7th. So far this feature for Destiny has only been confirmed for the Xbox One, however I'd expect the PS4 to also receive the game for pre-load with an announcement coming soon. The game launches in just 2 weeks on September 9th.

Tomb Raider 2 is a Timed Exclusive Says Phil Spencer
The most controversial announcement from Gamescom was without a doubt the announcement of Tomb Raider's exclusivity on Xbox One, with many flipping out and taking to their blogs and YouTube Comments Section areas to rage at Microsoft and Square Enix, some even going as far as sending death threats to Lara's voice actress and Microsoft as a whole. Eurogamer.com reports that these angry people can ease up, as the game is only timed and will come to PS4 and PC eventually. In an interview with Eurogamer, Phil Spencer said, "I didn't buy the IP. I didn't buy the studio. It's not mine. Where this thing will go over time, just like Dead Rising or Ryse, we'll see what happens with the game. I don't own every iteration of Tomb Raider." He shared his sympathy with people on other platforms, understanding how they would feel alienated from a long-time franchise suddenly moving. He does confirm however that he doesn't own Tomb Raider as an IP, and once the deal is over he doesn't know where it could go.
Note: For the love of god don't read the comments section to this article, you'll lose a metric ton of brain cells.

Destiny DLC Leaked in 2013, Just Realized Now
Something that might surprise you was in 2013 when Diablo 3: The Reaper of Souls was announced, the name 'The Dark Below' was brought up as a possible name for the expansion or something related to Diablo, turns out it was for Destiny, as we now know. GameInformer.com reports the story, also saying DLC was also trademarked before a World of Warcraft DLC, linking it to World of Warcraft as well. Activision handled the situation well, not getting involved, as it would've likely tipped off the fact it was Destiny. Theories included the name of a new World of Warcraft game and possibly a new Blizzard IP. The Dark Below was officially announced when the Ghost Edition, Limited Edition, and Digital Guardian editions of the game were announced, and it was confirmed at Gamescom it would launch in late 2014.

Titanfall: IMC Rising DLC Announced
We started this series off with the first Titanfall DLC, then continued recently with the second, and it seems we're now ending the Titanfall DLC trilogy with the final add-on announcement! Titanfall.com officially announced the DLC to the rest of the world, it first being revealed at Gamescom this year. The DLC contains what each DLC before it has, 3 maps, Backwater, Zone 18, and Sandtrap, details on each scant. It will run you $9.99 or $24.99 for the season pass to get all three for a value. A release date has not been announced yet, though I would estimate the DLC should launch sometime in October or late September at the earliest. This DLC pack and Frontier's Edge (the last one) seem to have an increased focus on the IMC rather than the Militia, as the only DLC pack to showcase the Militia on the cover was Expedition. This could be a hint at the direction of future titles, possibly IMC winning the war?

Ashley Johnson (Ellie, The Last of Us) Responds to Ubisoft Female Assassin Controversy
Ubisoft has been under heavy fire from Gaming Press, Gamers, and men and women alike in the gaming media for their decision to not include a playable female Assassin. Ashley Johnson, best known as Ellie from The Last of Us, is one of those women, as she has fired at Ubisoft according to Polygon.com. Leaving out Ashley's choice words likely too mature to be fully stated here, she is completely against the decision, saying, "It's 2014! How many video games do you have to make to realize maybe have an option to have a female be in there?" Her co-star in the game, Troy Baker, has made a much less volatile statement, cautioning the idea of forced inclusion of females. Ubisoft has tried to quell the massive response of angered gamers, but even their wide array of efforts have done little to stop people. Ubisoft is composed of a diverse library of employees, men, women, foreigners, and for the most part anything in between. They were also under similar fire for controversy over the Far Cry 4 cover art showcasing a lighter skinned man holding down a darker skinned man.

Sony announces two new PS4 bundles in Japan: Custom Destiny Bundle and The Last of Us Bundle
PlayStation 4 bundles have been popping up in massive degrees lately, between the Driveclub bundle announced and the recent questionable Frozen bundle, Japan has a wide variety of different PlayStation 4s to choose from, and now we can add two more to that list. IGN.com states that Sony has announced a Destiny bundle with a custom console, and a The Last of Us Remastered bundle with a custom TLOU: R themed PS4. The Destiny bundle is the same as it is here in United States, save for the Destiny logo imprinted unto the console. The Last of Us Remastered bundle includes the game, the PlayStation 4 with the two main characters on the cover, and the DualShock 4, all in their signature black. Destiny is slightly different sporting the Sony logo on it's bottom right corner as well, as it is a PS4 exclusive in Japan. The bundles will likely be the same price as your typical game/console bundle.

Xbox One Summer Update Features Mobile Purchases, 3D Blu-Ray Compatibility, and More
The Xbox One has received quite a few helpful updates following it's launch about a year ago, including a helpful video editor. Major Nelson, or Larry Hyrb, reported on Xbox.com that an update will be available next month. These features include a refined Activity feed, a whole area dedicated to your friends and their activities on the hub, mobile purchases allowing you to buy Xbox items from your device or computer, a low battery notification that pops up on your screen, the ability to turn off notifications during video playback, an enabler for 3D Blu-Ray, an old feature returning from the Xbox 360 allowing you to see what your friends were last doing and when, and OneGuide in a slue of other countries. The countries that will offer OneGuide include Brazil, Mexico, Ireland, and Austria.

In celebration of the all-holy Bungie Day in which we revere our gods and overlords in Bungie, they have given us three separate Collector's Edition announcements!
Today is a big day for any Destiny buff, as Bungie has been widely hinting (not very subtly) about massive announcements to come today, July 7th, Bungie Day. The biggest comes from Bungie.net, where three different Collector's Editions were revealed on the site, and I'm going to go through them one by one. The first is the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition, which comes packed with Early Access to the Vanguard Armory and a pre-order bonus Player Emblem, the Destiny Season Pass (or Expansion Pass as it's labeled) which comes with the two add-ons for Destiny, The Dark Below and House of Wolves, and all of the Digital Content included across the three Collector's Editions, the skin for your Ghost, and the Player Emblem and Ship Skin. It is unknown what this edition currently retails for. Next, we have the Limited Edition, which includes a Steelbook showing off a matte grey image of the star chart and the Destiny logo, a 'Guardian Folio' which encases a field guide of a variety of weapons in the game, a star chart that acts sort of like the map included in GTA V's retail, and postcards, and of course all of the digital content in the Digital Guardian Edition. It retails for $99.99 USD.
View attachment: ghost.jpg
Finally, there's the Ghost Edition. This includes everything above in the Limited Edition, as well as a scaled replica of a Ghost drone, with working audio and visual display LEDs, along with a small packet of patches, stickers, and slides with images of the traveler on them. Finally, a small letter containing your introduction to Destiny. This edition retails for $149.99 USD and is not available currently on Xbox One.

Which edition are you picking up, and are you disappointed or angry that the Guardian Edition isn't on Xbox One? Let me know in the comments below, thanks for reading!

In Bungie's Weekly Update this week, they showed off juicy details for Destiny like Achievements, a hint at a Collector's Edition, and more announcements coming up, it's all here!
In this week's Bungie update, Urk filled in for the typical Community Manager Deej, as he tore into some rather important questions in large detail. Heading to Bungie.net, the first question had to deal with the whopping $500 Million price tag for marketing, as Urk explained how this wasn't near the cost of development, and very little of that actually went into Bungie's work on the game, the majority was just to get it advertised and marketed. The next was relating to the heavily controversial Ghost dialogue heard in the Alpha, voiced by Peter Dinkleage, where it was revealed work is being done right now to redo some lines and more will be done after the Beta, as Bungie tries to clean up the mess. A more humorous question asked about the 'That Wizard Came From The Moon' shirts in the Bungie store, as Urk cleared up that they are still available. A huge announcement, the Achievements and Trophies for Destiny were revealed, there are a total of 40 of them, too many to list individually, but some stand out ones are definitely Ghost Hunter, where you must discover 50 deceased Ghosts, Inspector, where you must inspect another Guardian, and Blink of an Eye, kill 5 enemies in 3 seconds. The full list is in the picture below.
View attachment: Destinyachievements.jpg
To finish it off, we have three more questions, there are a few more after, but they are mainly jokingly and give us no real info. One question was asked as to how long the beta for Destiny in July will run, to which we were told that it's all still in the works and no finalized date has been decided upon. The next, if there will be a Collector's Edition released alongside Destiny, as Urk responded teasingly, "It’s almost as if we’re planning to drop all the information you need, and more, ahead of Beta on an auspicious date in the very near future." Finally, someone asked if it was official that Destiny is rated T for Teen by the ESRB, as it was confirmed by Urk. Destiny will launch with a T rating to broaden the audience, and contains only 'Animated Blood' and 'Violence'. They also linked to a Polygon piece on the problem with Halo being rated M for Mature, which I highly recommend you look at, as it is featured in the article linked above.

To end off on a question, do you wish to see a Collector's Edition for Destiny? If so, what would it need to have to sell you on it, and how much could it cost? Discuss below, and thanks for reading the article!
Note: Remember in the last Weekly News Wrap-Up where I promised I'd do one on Friday and not Saturday? Well, I'm skipping a week, yay! They'll resume at regular time next Saturday, the 5th, for now, enjoy... This.

Halo: Broken Circle Announced
Halo's novel have given the community a deeper and more meaningful insight into the events that occur in the main story. One of the most infamous of these, the splitting of the Covenant by the end of Halo 2, is getting a novel adaptation according to HaloWaypoint.com called Halo: Broken Circle. It will be written by John Shirley and release November 4th, 2014. The story will center around an Elite Splinter Group fighting back, as well as the story of an honest and true Prophet stuck in a dangerous situation. The cover shows three Elite ships (notice the green lighting and powering, not blue like normal Covenant ships) and what looks like a destroyed shield world of sorts. Since the Arbiter has been announced to hold a place in terminals, this could be a sort of side-story concurrent to the main one.

Titanfall Available for Free for 48 Hours on PC
Titanfall, Respawn's hit multiplayer title exclusive to Microsoft platforms, is going to be available for free for 48 hours on the PC only. This deal comes to us from Origin as one of their new goodwill projects, Origin.com says. The project is called 'Game Time' and while no information has been released on what products will be available next, we can likely expect larger titles like Battlefield 4 or Mirror's Edge to hold a place in it. If you decide to purchase Titanfall after your trial is up, your progress in-game will be saved so long as you're on your account. EA has stated that this is just beginning today, so it isn't available in every country yet, but will be soon. The time starts when you begin playing and ends after 48 hours, meaning that as soon as you activate the game, the clock ticks down, even when you yourself aren't playing.

Destiny's Exclusive Content Only Lasts until Fall 2015
Destiny has a hefty load of fresh content coming to PS4 on day one like the Monte Carlo assault rifle, Hawkmoon handgun, new ships and armor, and an exclusive Strike and Competitive map. According to Polygon.com, an Amazon listing (now edited) showed off in it's detailings for the PS4 version the content and stated that it would only be available until Fall 2015. It seems odd that it would be such a short period of time considering how heavily all this content is being pushed on the PlayStation 4. If this amazon listing is to be trusted, Xbox owners can expect to get their hands on the exclusive content (likely) between September and November 2015.

Sony's E3 Press Conference has revealed that there will be a bundle with a copy of Destiny on PS4 and a white console, controller, and 30 day PS+ Subscription card.
Sony's Electronic Entertainment Expo this year kicked off with a large bang as Destiny content was shown straight out the gate, starting off with the announcement of the Beta date, the 17th of July, and of course early access for PlayStation users. What really kicked it off though was the reveal of a white PlayStation 4 bundled with a copy of Destiny, which can now be viewed on PlayStation's YouTube.com account. The bundle will accompany, as said above, a white console and DualShock 4 controller, the game itself, and a month's worth of PlayStation Plus. As was also revealed at Sony's E3, Destiny will have a ton of exclusive armor sets, missions, and other bonus content for the PlayStation version of the game. The bundle will ship on the same day as the main game, and the bonus content will be available day one, however it is unknown whether it is timed content, or if Xbox owners may never get the content.

The Order: 1886 Delayed to Early 2015
One of Sony's largest exclusives of 2014 was The Order: 1886, following a steampunk styled Industrial Revolution during the Victorian Era, and an unknown and ancient threat, a plot that seems to show promise. I say 'was' because it was recently announced over on PlayStation.com in a blog entry that The Order would be delayed to early 2015, likely February, with a heap of other triple-A titles like Metal Gear Solid: V, Dying Light, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to name a few. The developer, Ready at Dawn, gave the typical reasoning for the delay, explaining how more time was needed to craft the game to perfection. "we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made . . . you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015." They said.
View attachment: 2432359-the+order+1886+shot.jpg
Are you pleased that The Order: 1886 has been delayed so that it can be adjusted and fixed to the appropriate state a game should launch in, or has this solidified your reasoning that the PlayStation 4 needs more games soon as it's running dry? Let me know below!
Destiny 'Art of', 'Making of', and Poster Collection Books Revealed
Destiny has had much hype leading up to it's fall release, but we're all left scratching our heads on scarce details for two main deals which Bungie has remained silent on, Destiny Books, and a Collector's Edition, and while the Collector's Edition has yet to be mentioned, we have received confirmation of three Destiny books! A Reddit.com user spotted the books in his June Comic Previews catalog and took a screenshot of them, showcasing the three different types mentioned above. Each is labeled as being ''Available only within the United States" which could be a complicated situation for those in outside countries looking for Destiny memorabilia. The Art of Destiny is 160 pages, the Poster Collection is 40 pages, and the Making of Destiny is 156 pages. The Artbook and 'Making of' run at $45 USD each and the poster collection at $24.99 USD.

Will you be buying the three books, or just certain ones? Discuss below!
Dishonored 2: Darkness of Tyvia Fact Sheet Leaked
Dishonored was a huge game in 2012, and made a large mark in a year of innovative and new games that aren't widely known or have the biggest budget becoming large hits. It makes sense that reps from the development team would say things like, "We clearly have a new franchise" and this statement is further backed with the leak over on VG247.com, who's source leaked them a fact sheet for an E3 demonstration of Dishonored II. This sheet includes the information that the game will include a DOOM Beta access code, like Wolfenstein, and will be on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, as well as feature a new character with new powers hunting down the Outsider, possibly on a mission of revenge as the previous game's theme seemed to be. It will also include a Versus multi-player mode, run on IDTech5 Engine, and release sometime during 2016. Bethesda did speak to VG247 saying, “we don’t comment on rumour or speculation.”
View attachment: dishonored-2-02-1024x521.jpg
Do you want this fact sheet to turn out true, or is there some things you'd change, because now is for sure the time for feedback with E3 days away! Debate below about this rumor!

The Destiny Beta has been confirmed to kick off in July according the Activsion/Blizzard first quarter report.
The Beta for Destiny is coming in July, two months before the official release date as the report shows but no full date for the beta release has been given yet. There are speculations that it could launch on Bungie Day (July 7th) which is pretty safe to assume as it is Bungie's own annual festivity and what better way to celebrate it than launching the Beta on that day. But whatever the date is Playstation fans will be first to play it as Bungie announced last year that the Playstation will get early access to it.
It is not yet confirmed how long Xbox fans will have to wait for it to come to the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One after it releases on the PS3 and PS4, it could possibly be something along the lines of a week or so. To gain access to the beta you have to pre-order the game to receive a code at participating retailers where you then enter it over at bungie.net.
So are you going to be participating in the beta? Are you getting the game at all?

A new Halo 5 multiplayer modus in the making!
Although we don't have much info on the upcoming Halo title we now do know 343i wants to implement a new modes in the Halo 5 multiplayer.
343i has started hiring for a person who can:
-Implement and execute competetive multiplayer features
-Fine tune the existing multiplayer experience
-Create and implement a brand new multiplayer modes
Now the last one seems highly interesting since even 343i doesn't know what it'll be. Although they would have to give their blessing first.
What kind of modes would you like to see in Halo 5?
"And now for something completely different."
Destiny will have no initial PvP.
Got the game and wanna shoot some other players?
Tough luck, because Bungie has made it so that you'll first need to play a couple of hours before you can blast your opponents to bits.
Now I know this sounds bad but there is logic behind this madness.
In Destiny you will start without a 'super attack' and without this you'd be completely destroyed by opponents who do have this ability.
And who likes getting blown up without defence?
In order to 'unlock' competetive multiplayer you'll first have to complete several missions, get you super attack and find a special weapon.
Only then you'll fully understand how the game works and you'll be on your merry way.
See at as some kind of tutorial.
There hasn't been much info on the competetive multiplayer side of Destiny so far.
Keep an eye out on E3 this year.
Do you like the way Bungie handles this situation?
As always leave answers and comments down below!
Thank you for reading!

Bungie presented us with a new video of gameplay from Destiny yesterday. The video didn't really stand out all that much from what Bungie has shown us before over the last number of months in terms of gameplay. But there are some things that may be worth pointing out and discuss about, certain things that could raise a few questions regarding the lore. So while we wait or hope for something new to see at E3 let's see what interesting we can divulge from the latest video that could be of interest.
So first up after the opening with the Bungie and Destiny logos the video quickly snapped to a cutscene of a squadron of Guardians in their personal ships, racing through the sky to commence a strike mission against the Fallen and Hive in Old Russia.
As you can see from the picture we can get a good idea of how much detail and options are available for customizing our personal ships. The three ships are very different from each other, they are completely different in shape and have quite a difference in size and colour from each other. This image seems to tell us that we will be to choose from a variety of types or models of ships and of course, as expected, give them our own coat of paint.
The video then fades to a map of a part of the Solar System showing the Earth, the Moon, Mars, another planet that appears to be Venus and The Traveler.
The words that are placed between the planets may raise some questions. We can see the word "Tower" beside The Traveler and just before the screen shot was taken as the video was fading from the three ships to the planets the word "Reef" was above The Traveler and between the two other planets and a word that spelled "Crucible" to the right of the Earth. Now the "l" and "e" of the word are not seen in the shot as the video was blared at that moment as the video was changing scenes. So why are these words placed on the map? Could they be names of the controlled area's in space that the Guardians still have in their power?
Here we have another map but it is only of the Earth this time. If you look at the shape of the land and the way it borders with the oceans, you will see that it is completely different from how it is today in the real world.
Has the sea level risen? Has the continental plates shifted that much in as little as seven hundred years? That one is doubtful but who knows, it is a video game after all anything is possible. It will most likely be a big question fans will discover the answer to when they play the game.
Again we have another map of different locations that border one another and makes up the place or a part of a plce called "Old Russia".
The locations that surrounds The Devils' Lair are called King's Watch, Rocket Yard, Gateway, Blind Steepes, Delta South (I think), Moth Yard, Sky Watch, Dry Sea and along there is Forgotten Shore. These will possibly be all explorable locations in the game.
So has any of this got you thinking about what you will discover in the game?

Bungie has just released a new Destiny gameplay video titled "The Devils' Lair" as it follows a team of guardians fighting their way through the depths of Old Russia.
In this seven minute long video we see a Fireteam of Guardians on a strike mission beneath the ruins of the Cosmodrome in a location called "The House of The Devils' Lair" in Old Russia as they take on the Fallen and the Hive, two of five enemy races Humanity will battle against to save Earth and their colonies. Destiny is a completely online game that encourages team play with co-operative modes that involves raids and strike missions as it is shown in the video. This has been the first proper video of solid full length gameplay since Bungie's presentation at last years E3. Fans itching to see more Destiny content will surely be tied over until more of it returns in just less than two months at this years E3.
What did you think of the new gameplay, are you looking forward to the game?

Branching Out While Getting Back to Their Roots.
For those who have not yet heard about its unveiling yet, undr zid (Affiliate, Admin of ForgeCafe), has finally released his shiny new baby to the public as of April 18th, 2014. This was the 5th anniversary of the ForgeCafe's existence dating back to the days of bungie.net. DestinyCafe has been in the works for over a year according to undr zid and his very helpful Cafe Staff had been helping him all while keeping it under wraps all this time.
Destiny is going to be Bungie's huge hit game this year so Destiny forums are going to be necessary. Zid saw this opportunity and took it by buying the DestinyCafe.net domain. Undr zid says his goal with the site is to give the members the same feel that made members love bungie.net in the first place. "The idea is to slowly shift focus from FC to here," zid said about his site. This will hopefully build a fan base for Destiny on one site and then
Some nice features on the site include its Streams tab where you can catch Twitch Streams of anyone you follow that has a Stream on site, the Clans system which allows you to essentially be an admin of your own sub-forum in a way, and its nice clean look. DestinyCafe is of course a Destiny forum but welcomes any other game fans as well.
Being on the testing team months prior to its launch, I did get to see some changes and it's amazing how fast undr zid and his Staff can work. There are already some familiar faces there from ForgeCafe's harry_c0 and OxK Nym to our very own -Sparky- and Silent Orbis.
Congratulations undr zid and I hope your sites do well with both titles launching this year. Thank you for letting me experience the site as it was changing. Hope everyone gives it a try and it is another Cafe so there might be coffee.

Bungie has come out and stated that despite controversy surrounding Marty O'Donnell's departure from the company, his music will remain in Destiny.
We received quite the depressing surprise on April 14th when we had the news broken to us that our beloved composer Martin O'Donnell had been terminated by Bungie. In an interview with people at Eurogamer.net, Pete Parsons said that Marty's magnificent work on the project would remain in the game, and that fans shouldn't worry about the game's soundtrack or the game itself's features. He had said that the game was, "close to shipping" and that he believes "the Bungie fanbase is going to look forward to hearing Marty's music, Mike Salvatori's music, C. Paul's music and Paul McCartney's music in the game," acknowledging that while polish still needs to be done, most of the game is complete and in it's finished state, just needing a shiny coat of paint to top it off.
View attachment: 2508271-destiny1.jpg
While Marty's departure is melancholy news, most did fear it would impact the majority of their experience in the game. Now we know that isn't that case, but are you still as excited to play Destiny? Let me know below, thanks for reading!
