Halo: Broken Circle Announced

Halo's novel have given the community a deeper and more meaningful insight into the events that occur in the main story. One of the most infamous of these, the splitting of the Covenant by the end of Halo 2, is getting a novel adaptation according to HaloWaypoint.com called Halo: Broken Circle. It will be written by John Shirley and release November 4th, 2014. The story will center around an Elite Splinter Group fighting back, as well as the story of an honest and true Prophet stuck in a dangerous situation. The cover shows three Elite ships (notice the green lighting and powering, not blue like normal Covenant ships) and what looks like a destroyed shield world of sorts. Since the Arbiter has been announced to hold a place in terminals, this could be a sort of side-story concurrent to the main one.

Titanfall Available for Free for 48 Hours on PC

Titanfall, Respawn's hit multiplayer title exclusive to Microsoft platforms, is going to be available for free for 48 hours on the PC only. This deal comes to us from Origin as one of their new goodwill projects, Origin.com says. The project is called 'Game Time' and while no information has been released on what products will be available next, we can likely expect larger titles like Battlefield 4 or Mirror's Edge to hold a place in it. If you decide to purchase Titanfall after your trial is up, your progress in-game will be saved so long as you're on your account. EA has stated that this is just beginning today, so it isn't available in every country yet, but will be soon. The time starts when you begin playing and ends after 48 hours, meaning that as soon as you activate the game, the clock ticks down, even when you yourself aren't playing.

Destiny's Exclusive Content Only Lasts until Fall 2015

Destiny has a hefty load of fresh content coming to PS4 on day one like the Monte Carlo assault rifle, Hawkmoon handgun, new ships and armor, and an exclusive Strike and Competitive map. According to Polygon.com, an Amazon listing (now edited) showed off in it's detailings for the PS4 version the content and stated that it would only be available until Fall 2015. It seems odd that it would be such a short period of time considering how heavily all this content is being pushed on the PlayStation 4. If this amazon listing is to be trusted, Xbox owners can expect to get their hands on the exclusive content (likely) between September and November 2015.

Capcom is well known for it's games, from Resident Evil to Megaman, the company has no doubt created legends in the gaming industry, but you might be forced to buy a specific platform or from a specific company soon to pick up a Capcom product. According to IGN.com, the company made clear today that they are opening the option to stockholders with massive shares in the company. A business enactment made in 2008 from Capcom would've made this nearly impossible, but after it was announced they had around 200 million in their bank, they opened this up as a sort of final effort. Of course the company will overview with it's board of directors before making a final call as to if someone with a large enough hold on the company shares may take control. This could be an easy game buy for major companies like Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo in need of exclusives to sell their consoles. Even larger publishers like EA and Activision could make stellar profits from this with very little investment.

LittleBigPlanet3, shown off at Sony's E3 2014 Conference, looks to be incredibly next generation with colourful graphics, a gorgeous visual style, and overall fun mechanics, but it seems this supposed 'Next Gen' title might not be so exclusive to the PlayStation 4. According to a developer on the game, Steven Isbell, on his Twitter.com account, LittleBigPlanet3 will be making it's way to PS3, with "more news on that later." A counter to this however is that no Pre-Order page has been put up for a PlayStation 3 version, only a PS4 version. But this does make sense with the inter-connectivity to the other two games and how they mentioned maps do carry over, and it would make the transition more seamless for sure. However the real question here is whether this is a step backwards for the game as a whole, as the PS3 could limit the game from being truly a 'Next Gen' game. While LittleBigPlanet has always had a beautiful visual style, certain issues did pop up on the PS3 in regards to connection and the overall gameplay experience, on the PlayStation 4, these issues could be avoided. They have said that graphics were going to be updated, and had no word on these other issues, further progressing the fear.

Diablo III Confirmed for 900p on Xbox One; 1080p on PlayStation 4

Diablo III: The Ultimate Evil has become a widely pre-ordered hit making it's way to Current Generation consoles, and naturally the question buyers are asking is what the resolution of the game is? According to IGN.com, the game will run at a confirmed 900p on the Xbox One, and 1080p on the PS4, both at a 60 frames per second lock. This news came from the Senior Producer's own mouth, Julia Humphreys, who only said, "We're prioritizing frame rate." This is surprising considering it wasn't mentioned at E3, which is strange as most developers would bring it up. Of course this is likely due to the apparent partnership with PS4 as the Ultimate Evil Edition only appeared at the Sony conference, and has PlayStation exclusive content. Phil Spencer also responded over Twitter, making it apparent that the resolution wasn't his choice and he never spoke to Blizzard personally on the matter.

Grand Theft Auto V Announced for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4

The Current Generation version of Grand Theft Auto V had a huge amount of rumors and speculation around it, so it was a given that this confirmation would happen, likely at E3. EscapistMagazine.com reports that the game, which was revealed at E3, will becoming at an unannounced date this fall for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. It will include visual upgrades, added content, and a bonus video editor for PC users. The game is available for pre-order already, and is likely partnered with PlayStation in some way, as it was revealed at their conference and shows PS4 footage.

Earlier last year, Alienware showed off their model of a Steam Machine, giving some details on the specifications and what it could do with SteamOS in it, as well as the Steam controller. When Valve however delayed the Steam Machine to 2015, Alienware began production on a spin-off version, without SteamOS and the controller, and according to Polygon.com, that version is the Alienware Alpha. The Alpha will contain an Xbox 360 controller bundled, and Windows 8.1 interface. Alienware has said that when the SteamOS and Controller launch, they will be fully compatible with the Alpha, and that SteamOS is fully ready to be installed on Day One on the platform, but we'll have to wait until 2015 to get it. It will launch this holiday for $550 and the SteamOS and Controller will become available at an unannounced date in 2015. It will run any current game on 1080p and 60fps.

Assassin's Creed: Unity's stellar debut at Xbox's E3 2014 Conference amazed many, fans and passersby alike, with an seemingly improved system, especially combat-wise. On Ubi.com, an interview was conducted with the man above, where he talked about the revamp in the fighting system in Unity. With a new engine, changes could be made, and one of the biggest is the removal of the basic Block. He said, “We still have counter moves like the parry, perfect parry and dodge but it is much harder to kill NPCs right away . . . Instead of simply pressing “B”, you now have to work for the kill." He also put emphasis on the idea of combat not being impossible, and that a small group of enemies shouldn't be too hard, but as they kept piling on, the player would have to develop new tactics and possibly evade the group. The spotlight then shifted to the new addition to Arno's arsenal, the Phantom Blade, acting as a hidden blade crossed with a Bow and Arrow system, which could prove useful for stealth, or for easy potshots.

Sony's Electronic Entertainment Expo this year kicked off with a large bang as Destiny content was shown straight out the gate, starting off with the announcement of the Beta date, the 17th of July, and of course early access for PlayStation users. We start off with Call of Duty: Advanced Warefare

Call of Duty was first to appear at E3 showing an impressive trailer.

Showing a set of playable segments showing the following:

-Jet packs

-Mechs

-Matrix style drone swarms

-Customisable grenades (EMP, Pulse and Seeking)

-A laser type riot shield

At least... That's all I noted.

The graphics looked amazing but I hope the enemy isn't really that easy to fight.

Next up we can already see someone die. Massive spoiler?

Also we see how out main character loses his arm in a pretty nicely done cutscene in my opinion.

Forza 5 and Horizon 2

With the recent announcements of both games we now get to see what they were talking about.

Forza 5 is getting a free DLC which features the Nürenburger track which is an actual existing racing track and put into the game with 100% accuracy.

Then (rather quickly) we move on to Horizon 2.

Horizon 2 is built off the Forza 5 engine. Which will give us 1080p grahics.

They've also implemented a huge amount of sweet looking cars that we will be able to race around in an open world.

Want to play with your friends or online? Almost no waiting time due to dedicated servers which will hook you up in not time at all.

Next to all that you can create your own club (clan) which can feature up to 1000 members!

The game is set to release at September 30th.

Evolve

Evolve is a class based game in which you have to take down large monsters, with guns and everything of course.

Next to 4 player co-op mayhem one will also be able to play as the actual monster to ruin the day of your friends. Expect a lot of IRL hitting!

Xbox One owners will get an exclusive beta acces. Get some!

Assassins Creed Unity

A new Assassins Creed title is already coming up! Set during the french revolution.

What makes this one different is the fact that you can play the game in a 4-player co-op.

We were shown just that on stage. 4 players sneaking around and taking down hostiles together to eventually assassinate the target by throwing him out of a window towards a crowd of blood thirsty people which proceeds to kill him in quite a gruesome manner.

One thing I noticed was that the parkour looked a lot better. Smoother and quicker.

Then again when the guy walked though a crowd I saw some bumps and it looked iffy. But still plenty of time to fix that right?

Next up was a Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer

The trailer looked nice but there was little info given.

One thing we do know is that is will release on October 7th

Sunset Overdrive

Sunset Overdrive gave us a very fun trailer.

The game will be set in Sunset city, which is now overrun by mutated humans. The mutation was caused by an energy drink that the mutants still crave next to your skin. Also breaking the fourth wall was quite prominent.

The style of the game is very cartoony with 'boom' and 'splat' appearing in blood or explosions. It also features a lot of parkour and jumping around while shooting the absolute -Yoink!- out of everything in your path, mutants and hostile humans alike.

I enjoyed the trailer very much

Sunset Overdrive will feature a 8 player co-op mode on dedicated servers in which you'll cause absolute chaos!

The release date is set on the 28th of October.

Capcom 31st anniversary

Capcom decided to give us a DLC for Dead Rising 3 with a title so long that I wasn't able to put it down on paper...

Featuring all of the Capcom Characters in a arcade game. You can even play as tofu! What more do you want to hear from me?! TOFU!!!

You can play together with 3 other friends as of now. Because the game has been released JUST NOW!

Dance Central Spotlight

Dance your heart out in the new Dance Central title. Although the guy who presented it didn't look like dancing to me...

Fable Legends

Fable Legends will send us back to the world of Albion and we'll get to see some old friends and corny jokes.

The game will feature 4-player co-op and each player can invoke a different role which each different skills. There can also be a villain player that can ruin your day by placing traps and monsters around every corner. Griefers eat your heart out!

Project Spark

Project Spark has already had a beta in which we could get familiar with the game.

This game allows you to do absolutely everything! Make you own game, create your own world, create anything you like from the ground up!

Our little friend Conker also made a brief appearance... Interesting.

The game Ori was showcased in a very touching trailer. The style reminded me of Limbo, only this game is very colourful.

We started of with a trailer for the next Halo. We heard the Arbiter and saw the mysterious spartan which now has a name, Agent Clarke.

Agent Clarke is in search of the Master Chief but the role of the Arbiter is still a bit shady. Is he searching too?

But lets not forget everything leading up to Halo 5. That's why 343i is releasing the Master Chief collection. One disc that features all the previous Halo games with all the content unlocked and more.

They hunt down a monster in a very very large world. Because of this open world it is very likely that you side track slightly. By bandits for example.

Starting off below ground they show us a holographic map which shows where you are between the buildings and streets around you and a holographic image of thing that happened in the past.

Upon contact with enemies you AI friends will actually have a lot of actual dialogue. Reacting directly to things happening around you.

Also I liked the style very much!

Scalebound

Scalebound showed us a trailer with a lot of monsters fighting and of course the character you play as gets involved to. Fighting with a headphone on blasting some fitting music.

Not much else is shown.

Martin O'Donnell Sues Bungie for Unpaid Wages

In a shocking display, Bungie's ex-composer Martin O'Donnell is suing his former company and especially it's chief executive Harold Ryan, on account of unpaid debts on Bungie's part owed to Martin. If we all remember his firing accordingly, on April 11th we received a tweet on Marty's account saying he had been fired without cause, and VentureBeat.com was the first to spot his gross attack at Bungie. This does not seem to be a major assault at all employees however, as the attack was aimed at Harold Ryan, mentioned before. The file specifically said, "Ryan has willfully and intentionally caused Bungie to deprive O’Donnell of accrued but unused vacation time, paid time off, sabbatical time, and other benefits." The case is ongoing, and Bungie has no plans of giving in to the lawsuits apparently.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collector's Edition and Release Date Announced

A sure sign that foreign games can become huge hits on the popular market, The Witcher, made by polish developer CD Projekt Red, has become a widely loved game with a third title on the way for Current Generation consoles and PC. According to a recent listing on GameStop.com, a collector's edition is also available for the game and a confirmed release of February 24th, 2015 has been announced. The Collector's Edition will run you $150 USD estimated and will include a statue of the main hero, the main game in the typical box art, an Art Book, a medallion of the Witcher symbol, Collector's boxes and an extra steelbook to store the game in if you are unsatisfied with the main game box. GameStop also has other bonuses like a Poster and Keychain available when pre-ordering from them.

Gamers can now use their Xbox One controller to play games and use apps on their PC by downloading the required drivers(available on Major Nelson's site). Major Nelson also stated that they are planning to release the drivers in a Windows update in the near future but gamers can get early access to it today. A micro USB cable will be required as it does not support a wireless connection at the moment. Games that currently support the Xbox 360 controller will be compatible with the Xbox One controller.

Now on to the conspiracy.

In the announcement of the Xbox One controller PC drivers on Major Nelson's site there is a picture that shows the Xbox One controller that is connected to a Surface Pro to demonstrate the new functionality of the feature and it has the Halo 2's main title screen on it. See below.

Now this could be solely for demonstration purposes to show of the new feature but with the cavalcade of rumors and "hints" over the past number of months many might take this as another nudge towards Halo 2 anniversary being in the works. So Is it?

It does seem suspicious that they are using Halo 2 in that image and not an image of one of their recent products such as Halo: Spartan Assault considering it is the latest Halo game out right now and the fact that it is available to play on PC and Windows devices. Is this another nod towards a Halo 2 anniversary or is it just an innocent act? Anyway I'll leave it for you to decide, leave your thoughts on this news below.

Microsoft might finally be fulfilling Phil Spencer's goal of branching out to Windows platforms more, and to top with one of the Xbox One's most acclaimed launch titles. According to a Steam Database leak spotted by a Neogaf.com user, Dead Rising 3 will be arriving on Steam. This should basically confirm the title's jump to Steam, but we're left to wonder whether the timed exclusivity deal ended and Dead Rising 3 will also be ported to the PlayStation 4 or if it's staying as a Microsoft exclusive in the way Titanfall did. This could definitely boost the insane amount of copies already sold at 1.2 Million according to a results sheet dating back to March. Dead Rising isn't particularly known for being a Microsoft exclusive either way, as Dead Rising 2 was available on PS3 as well as the Xbox 360.

The Xbox Wire has revealed that a TON of new apps are coming to the Xbox One along with further Twitter integration.

Corporate VP, Yusuf Mehdi, released an official statement on the matter, saying:

"Xbox fans are spending more time than ever on the console, spending more than five hours a day on Xbox One. Today as we announce new commitments from dozens of our partners, including deep integration with experiences like Twitter and Vine, we hit an important milestone in our journey to deliver unique experiences on Xbox. We’re thrilled to break new ground in social TV experiences like we’re doing with Twitter on Xbox One."

The Order: 1886 Delayed to Early 2015

One of Sony's largest exclusives of 2014 was The Order: 1886, following a steampunk styled Industrial Revolution during the Victorian Era, and an unknown and ancient threat, a plot that seems to show promise. I say 'was' because it was recently announced over on PlayStation.com in a blog entry that The Order would be delayed to early 2015, likely February, with a heap of other triple-A titles like Metal Gear Solid: V, Dying Light, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to name a few. The developer, Ready at Dawn, gave the typical reasoning for the delay, explaining how more time was needed to craft the game to perfection. "we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made . . . you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015." They said.

Destiny 'Art of', 'Making of', and Poster Collection Books Revealed

Destiny has had much hype leading up to it's fall release, but we're all left scratching our heads on scarce details for two main deals which Bungie has remained silent on, Destiny Books, and a Collector's Edition, and while the Collector's Edition has yet to be mentioned, we have received confirmation of three Destiny books! A Reddit.com user spotted the books in his June Comic Previews catalog and took a screenshot of them, showcasing the three different types mentioned above. Each is labeled as being ''Available only within the United States" which could be a complicated situation for those in outside countries looking for Destiny memorabilia. The Art of Destiny is 160 pages, the Poster Collection is 40 pages, and the Making of Destiny is 156 pages. The Artbook and 'Making of' run at $45 USD each and the poster collection at $24.99 USD.

Dishonored 2: Darkness of Tyvia Fact Sheet Leaked

Dishonored was a huge game in 2012, and made a large mark in a year of innovative and new games that aren't widely known or have the biggest budget becoming large hits. It makes sense that reps from the development team would say things like, "We clearly have a new franchise" and this statement is further backed with the leak over on VG247.com, who's source leaked them a fact sheet for an E3 demonstration of Dishonored II. This sheet includes the information that the game will include a DOOM Beta access code, like Wolfenstein, and will be on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, as well as feature a new character with new powers hunting down the Outsider, possibly on a mission of revenge as the previous game's theme seemed to be. It will also include a Versus multi-player mode, run on IDTech5 Engine, and release sometime during 2016. Bethesda did speak to VG247 saying, “we don’t comment on rumour or speculation.”

This is what the CEO of Take-Two told in a conference.

He called Red Dead and Bioshock permanent franchises. Meaning that there are still games coming.

CEO Strauss Zelnik said "GTA is of course a permanent franchise as long as we can cintinue to bring quality with it. It is also very logical to call Red Dead a permanent franchise, as well as Borderlands and NBA."

Take-Two earlier stated that they'll be releasing a new Rockstar game between now and the 31th of March 2015 as you can see here >>> http://343i.org/1yy

Zelnick also stated that the developers of Bioshock 2, 2K Marin, will continue their work on the Bioshock franchise.

"Although Irrational games - the developers of Bioshock 1 and Infinite - is no more, there is still a lot of the universe to explore."

Jamie Marris: @XboxP3 any plans to bring the ability to share in game screenshots to say social networks? I.e twitter?

Phil Spencer: @jmarris09 Yea, this is the list for the monthly updates, team is making great progress on the updates. More features to come.

Now which social networking platforms this will land on is unknown at this time, but it will likely have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Players already have the ability to stream gameplay through Twitter and even upload gameplay directly to YouTube, but this will give players yet another option to share their Xbox One experience.

This will likely come as just a small update, and likely will not be part of the larger update coming in June. The update coming in June will be massive, and if you've yet to read about it, you can do so HERE.
