	<span style="color:#00ffff;"><span style="font-family:verdana;"><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="background-color:transparent;">The cut in staff is alleged to be about 5% of the workforce, which is monumental after such a carefree conference. Activision Publishing is allegedly the only branch applying these layoffs, with Blizzard and MLG notably not affected. Developers Infinity Ward, Beenox, and Treyarch took the brunt of the hit, with around 20 people laid off at Infinity Ward, the developers of the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Infinite Warfare. </span></span></span></span>

Their line-up for 2017 so far looks precariously slim, with only two main titles, Destiny 2 and Call of Duty, gracing the market so far.</span></span></span></span>

From map design to scripting, ForgeHub has a tutorial and/or several individuals who can help at any time. ForgeHub is home to several well-known Forgers and community members including WARHOLIC, Chronmeister, Commander Colson, and xdemption just to name some. Above you can see an image of their homepage which is updated frequently with news and tutorials (look at that awesome screenshot they got there!). It gives a little recap of the previous week but mainly lists and talks about upcoming lobbies and article that are happening through out the week. This way people who visit the site can click on the front page article and be taken to a list of lobbies and what time they start, as well as a link to the lobby's thread. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff">Getting a lobby into the Forge-Cast is easy, all you need is to be a member of the site, post in the forums that you are starting a lobby, and list the times and other details about the lobby. ForgeHub doesn't have a lot of different forums as you can see so that keeps things easy and less cluttered. Being a Forge-based community, they don't need many other forums. This tab is also the place to find the most recent threads and see who's online. </span></p>

<p><span style="color:#ffffff">The Map Database is separate from the Maps tab and is found in the forums. It's a catalog of different maps and discussions from each Halo game era. This keeps their Maps page and forums clean and up to date. Thousands of threads kept for accessing old files and proof of ForgeHub's transcendence through the different ages of Halo. </span></p>

<p><span style="color:#ffffff">The Map library on ForgeHub is rivaled by none even today. Above are the 2000+ maps submitted to ForgeHub in only Halo 5: Guardians. Adding a map starts with a click of a button but then requires a description, player count, supported gametypes, images, and more. Not actually a difficult process. At the top you'll spot featured maps which include Sikamikanico'</span>s <a href="http://www.forgehub.com/maps/fever-pitch.3221/" rel="external nofollow">Fever Pitch</a>, <span style="color:#ffffff">SaltyKoala's</span> <a href="http://www.forgehub.com/maps/port-66.3187/" rel="external nofollow">Port 66</a>, <span style="color:#ffffff">and WyvernZu's</span> <a href="http://www.forgehub.com/maps/infinity-siege.3364/" rel="external nofollow">Infinity Siege</a>. <span style="color:#ffffff">You can't go wrong looking for a map on ForgeHub. And if you're a Forger yourself, then this is also a great place to get your map tested. </span></p>

The Staff on the Halo Archive are the most knowledgeable individuals on the Haloverse outside of the team at 343 Industries themselves. Not only does it have homegrown well-informed members but it also contains Halo theorists and admins from Halopedia. The Halo Archive is where you want to be to discuss the upcoming Mythos or any novel or game on an in-game universe level. </span></p>

<p><span style="color:#ffffff">There are no ranks on the Halo Archive but rather member rates. The rates are equal but members are assigned to them based on whether they spend more time talking in on-topic Halo threads or off-topic. Outside of Staff positions there are 4 main rates: </span><span style="color:#00ff00">Lifeworkers</span><span style="color:#ffffff">, </span><span style="color:#ff8c00">Warriors</span><span style="color:#ffffff">, </span><span style="color:#9933cc">Builders</span><span style="color:#ffffff">, and </span><span style="color:#ffd700">Miners</span><span style="color:#ffffff">. </span><span style="color:#9933cc">Builders </span><span style="color:#ffffff">have more of a presence in Halo-related discussions. </span><span style="color:#00ff00">Lifeworkers </span><span style="color:#ffffff">can take part in on-topic discussions but tend to participate more outside of them. </span><span style="color:#ff8c00">Warriors </span><span style="color:#ffffff">have more of an online presence, and I have no idea how </span><span style="color:#ffd700">Miners </span><span style="color:#ffffff">get their rate honestly but they're gold and it's cool. Your rate actually determines how your page looks on the Archive which I thought was really cool.  As you can see, I used to be a </span><span style="color:#00ff00">Lifeworker </span><span style="color:#ffffff">and my version of the site appears green whereas </span><span style="color:#9933cc">Builders </span><span style="color:#ffffff">would have purple highlights and </span><span style="color:#ff8c00">Warriors </span><span style="color:#ffffff">have orange.</span></p>

Now he focuses more on his YouTube channel but he still has the skills to put together a functional and good-looking map. <p><span style="color:#ffffff">The </span><span style="color:#ffffff"><em>Meet Your Maker Forge Contest</em></span><span style="color:#ffffff"> has always been a large-scale Forge contest attracting many different Forgers spanning all corners of the larger Halo Community bringing them together for the common goal of winning this massive battle royale of wonderful Halo map madness. </span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff">The first </span><span style="color:#ffffff"><em>Meet Your Maker Contest</em></span><span style="color:#ffffff">, the brainchild of previous Site Moderator Absolute Dog with the previous THFE, was a 4v4 core/competitive Infinity Slayer Forge competition hosted by ourselves in alliance with many big name Forgers such as Psychoduck, SaltyKoala, WARHOLIC, undr zid, and Spades N AZ. This ended in Redemption1272 (XDemption)'s victory with his map, Edifice. Creator of Fracture in BTB, Squally DaBeanz came in second place with his map that has transcended across almost all Halo games to date: Stigma. Our second runner up was made by one of our Community Cartographers formerly known as The Fated Fire- now Fated Fireman- called Black Site. </span></p>

<p><span style="color:#ffffff">The second </span><span style="color:#ffffff"><em>Meet Your Maker Forge Contest</em></span><span style="color:#ffffff"> was a Dominion-based competition that brought out the best of the Dominion Forgers. Not as many submissions but this was a very successful competition nonetheless. PA1NTS took first place with his map Monsoon. First runner up went to Xinshu's Sticky Fingers and second runner up was Typhoon by DUN3Z. </span></p>

<p><span style="color:#ffffff">Upon his departure from 343 Industries Community Forum, Absolute Dog handed the rights of the Meet Your Maker contest to trusted Forger and Community Cartographer Psychoduck. Psychoduck created the third </span><span style="color:#ffffff"><em>Meet Your Maker</em></span><span style="color:#ffffff"> in conjunction with ForgeHub which took place on MCC's Halo 2: Anniversary. </span></p>

Expect to recieve an email from Microsoft on instructions for that next week. Microsoft had high hopes for this title and had though it potential to have lasted 5-10 years with regular content coming to keep it fresh. The aim of this project is to be both an artistic tribute to Halo and a fun way to experience Halo on PC, Mac and Linux free and legally. Our primary goal is to recreate the multiplayer experience of the Halo trilogy, bringing in features from all Halo games to make the ultimate multiplayer sandbox!</p>

<p>Long answer: We’d like to include several well-made maps and a solid arsenal of weapons and gamemodes in our first open beta build. Depending on how many more artists and programmers join the team, we are looking at an 8-12 month wait until our first publicly available build. However, there will be more trailers and information released as we progress, and hopefully the teaser trailer we just released will serve as a shining beacon to talented folks in the fan community. <p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">As you may have noticed, Halo 5 has had an update. Not only is the weekly playlist, shotty snipers, available for the weekend but we also get some updates to the playlists and game itself.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">One of the updates is the removal of the 'Orion' map from all playlists. Don't fret, it will be back! It has been pulled from matchmaking temporarily to fix some of the bugs and glitches. Including, but not limited to, spawning and the issue where people would get banned for suicides for trying and failing to get to the DMG boost. In place of this we get a total 15 more map gametype combinations which I'll list down here:</span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="color:#ffffff;">Additional matchmaking fixes include the removal of the "One or more members in your Fireteam has a high latency to the dedicated server" error and expanded parameters for the Warzone matchmaking system which allows international players to find matches quicker and easier. 343i is still working on the last fix and has let us know that they did see improvement in Warzone search times but need some more time to check if it doesn't interfere with anything else, so they've pulled the changes for a bit untill they're sure no other problems are caused.</span></span></p>

Thank you all for your passionate feedback on Halo 5, the team has been actively following as much as we can and have identified one issue we really wanted to respond to.</em></span></p>

<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>First things first, in the grand scheme of things, this is happening to a small number of people. Most folks are having a good experience and the last thing we want to do is inject either placebo effect or confirmation bias into your gameplay feel, so bear that in mind if you’re having no issues, and just enjoy the dry but interesting technical data. But this is good news for those who are suffering.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>Aiming is the core of any first person shooter experience, and the way Halo controls is key to making Halo, Halo. Weapon aiming is a complex subject and something that the sandbox team obsesses over every day. There are a huge number of factors that feed into the feel of aiming, be it controller hardware, acceleration curves, turn speeds, player movement speeds, aim assist, or weapon fire rates.</em></span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>When we started development on Halo 5 we had some very specific goals with regards to aiming. We wanted to provide a best in class 60fps shooter experience, embracing competitive play, with an increased skill gap, while still retaining the essence of Halo.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>To preserve that Halo feel we chose not to re-write any of our base control systems, but instead to perform targeted retunes to balance for the higher framerate and myriad of other changes made to our movement and weapon systems.</em></span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>Throughout the project we have worked hand in hand with the 343 Pro team, Microsoft User Research, and test teams and of course absorbed the awesome feedback from the Halo 5 Beta to tune and validate our control systems to what we believe to be the sweet spot for fine control with fast turn speed across all aiming ranges, on all weapon types.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>Players have identified that, by design, the game is a shade “harder” than it used to be, but we are seeing players adjusting to the new speed and precision pretty quickly.</em></span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>Unfortunately, some players have identified an issue that occurs due to variance in controller hardware, commonly referred to as “slow turn” bug. This can cause players to become unable to, or inconsistently reach what we call a “pegged” state.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>The “pegged” state is a region in the outermost range of the analog aim stick in which we blend the players turn speed to a much faster rate. This issue is compounded as the control input fluctuates depending on multiple factors - if you are applying even the slightest bit of downward pressure (clenching), moving the stick around the edges a bit (which is why it’s even more problematic when aiming diagonally), or torqueing the stick on the edge a bit more than normal on some controllers.</em></span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>The good news is we have a fix for this issue that introduces no perceivable change to the current feel of the game. This change is going through test and pro team validation now and we will have it out to you soon.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em>One thing that has become clear in absorbing all your feedback is that Halo players want choice when it comes to controls. And with that in mind, we are also working on another little pet project that will allow even more precise tuning. This update will offer more custom fine-tuned control over controller settings (hint: independent vertical/horizontal sensitivities, the ability to calibrate your own dead zones, more granularity in sensitivity, and more). We hope to have that out for you in December and we will follow up with more details later. </em></span></p>

<p>Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, announced on <a href="https://twitter.com/XboxP3/status/661307413597818880?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" rel="external nofollow"><span style="color:#00ffff;">Twitter</span></a> that Microsoft will be revealing the first 100 Xbox 360 titles that will feature in Xbox One's backward compatibility feature next week on Nov 9th. Microsoft first announced backward compatibility on Xbox One at this years E3 back in June. It came as a big and an unexpected announcement for Xbox fans and got many of them excited about it. </p>

<p>A number titles have already been confirmed to be brought over to Xbox One, and many others have been included in promotional images so it maybe safe to assume they will be included too. But another big question that has been lingering is which one's will be up first? Well the wait is almost over as we will get the answer next week. Microsoft did confirm that not every title will make the crossover, but they have given the fans the chance to vote for which titles they'd like to be playable on the Xbox One through their <a href="https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/298503-backwards-compatibility" rel="external nofollow"><span style="color:#00ffff;">voting page</span></a>. So get voting.</p>

<p>For Xbox One, the two free titles for November will be Pneuma: Breath of Life and Knight Squad. Pneuma will be the first free title for Xbox One and it will be available for the entirety of the month. Knight Squad will be the second and it will also be free for an entire month. Though it won't be free to download until November 16th but it will be up until December 15th.</p>

<p>For Xbox 360, November's Games with Gold will include Dirt 3 and Dungeon Siege III. Dirt 3 will be the first to download for free, and it will be available November 1st-15th. Dungeon Siege III will then follow and will up from November 16th and will be available for free until the end of the month, November 30th.</p>

<p>During the interview a question was raised regarding the possibility of Halo 5 being brought over to PC which O'Connor states that "There is plenty of chance Halo 5 could appear on the PC". He went on to say "Nothing to announce at this point, but it’s absolutely within the bounds of reason." Many PC gaming enthusiast Halo fans have asked for PC releases since the announcement of Halo 3 as Halo 2 was the last major title to release on PC</p>

<p>Since then the only Halo titles that have released world wide on PC have been Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike. But there is Halo Online, however Halo Online seems it will only available in Russia, but it's unknown if it will stay in Russia. </p>

<p>In the interview Frank O'Connor stated "We developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. <p><strong>343 has announced a feature for Halo 5: Guardians called "Spartan Companies" that will allow players to play and communicate together in an interesting way.</strong></p>

<p>Spartan Companies acts like a clan system, a feature that is familiar in a wide amount of videos games. Players can create and name their own Company and can allow maximum amount of 100 players to join it. These companies will also get their own forum on 343's and Halo's official website <a href="https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/spartan-companies" rel="external nofollow"><span style="color:#00ffff;">Halowaypoint.com</span></a>. In these forums players can check other members stats, profiles and simply communicate with fellow players of the same Company. Players can start creating their own Companies right now and it will be added to the site. Leaders of each Company can also put together their own emblem to give it's own indentity. </p>
