Legendary campaign feedback

There is only one word to describe what it is, pathetic

So there is a gigantic difference between something being competitive and cheating. The legendary campaign is horrible, its not even fun nor competitive, it's just a lot of AI cheating. *Shooting someone you're not even looking at, and in fact you're turning your back on them, is not being good, it's just plain cheating.

I have to say this because the AI doesn't even pretends to be realistic, they just do plain BS in your face. They shoot at incredible (and impossible to us) fire rates, their weapons don't overcharge, they have infinite ammo and abuse of it. They don't even pretend they saw you, sometimes they just magically turn looking exactly where you are like if they were f****** physic. I mean, how the hell does an elite runs faster than me while shooting at the same time 15 shots per second not missing a single shot and I have to shot him x5 of whatever he shoots me to kill him. The great old master chief can be killed in half a second by a stupid grunt, that makes so much sense! The shots.... you can't even strafe them because they're way to fast

*I REALLY BELIEVE THEY EXAGGERATED TO MUCH WITH THE "DIFFICULTY"* remember the only real purpose of a game is to have fun... I really doubt someone will have fun while they're being cheated on, it's not even a challenge because you know they didn't do something good to kill you, just plain BS.

The purpose of a game isn't just to have fun, as you put it. They are meant to be challenging and present difficulty, which keeps people playing. Would you still be playing games if they were really really easy and you completed games in a few hours? I don't think the answer would be yes.

An AI isn't sentient and cannot chest. Of course it has to be difficult, it's the hardest difficulty in the game, the whole point is to complete it and think, I did that.

Just play normal or easy if you cannot handle the "cheating", or play with friends.

@luke I completely agree with what you said. But the thing is, it is way too exaggerated. I don't want it to be really easy, it can still be a challenge without having to be so tricky. I want it to be, at least, more realistic. I want an elite to actually look at me to know where I am, the flood to have a normal weapon range (have you seen the flood using shotguns or assault rifles from half way across the map?) and bullets to actually hit me in order to kill me, etc.

You just described Reach, not CE. I made a thread on Waypoint regarding Legendary in newer Halo games a while ago and I can safely say CE Legendary AI are the most fair and balanced enemy AI you'll ever see in Halo. I have spent a lot of time in it and I've had to put considerably less effort into gameplay than I do in Reach.

Examples:

Elites in CE are very, very susceptible to manipulation and even the sound of gun fire can drive them into positions of vulnerability.

Enemies in CE may have infinite ammo but they do not have bottomless clip. They too suffer from drawbacks such as reloading and overheating. To test this, fight a Goldie plasma rifle wielder. He'll overheat his plasma rifle if you let him stand there. Also, try a needler Grunt.

Also, the reason why they land their hits on you is because the projectile speed of the plasma rifle is fast. In Reach, this is dependent on difficulty but by no means do I consider Reach to be better than CE in this regard as the player's plasma rifle doesn't seem to get the same bonus in Reach (and it does significantly less damage. Likewise, the concussion rifle).
