Did you know I juts read through this entire topic, page 1 to 19, and only read maybe two things I didn't know. And they were PR related. I don't know if that is good or bad however. I am also not exaggerating.

Oh and random fact......Did you know Spartan IIIs are actually stronger and faster than Spartan IIs (unarmored)?

Since the S-III program was 30+ years later (not sure exactly how long), medical techniques and technology had significantly improved. This allowed the military to draw on a bigger gene pool, cheaper and more effective training, better equipment, better surgeries, and better drugs. Basically, they could make better soldiers cheaper and faster than halsey's program.
Spartan-IIIs were much younger upon graduation, but they had already been through puberty. They were 14 and 15 year olds with the bodies of adults and the training of complete warriors. The only reason the program had a lower budget than its predecessor was because they used the SPI armor.

Did you know although it can be assumed that with the advancement of technology it can be assumed IIIs are better it is never actually stated. And even so having better enhancements doesn't make them better. The IIs were genetically predispositioned to be soldiers and that is why they were originally chosen. The IIIs were orphans chosen just because they were orphans and so had a great reason to fight then most. They were also put into duty when they were younger then the IIs and is one reason for their high fatality rates.

Did you know that the whole Human-Covenant war was started because the Hierarchs (who weren't Hierarchs at the time) misunderstood what a Monitor meant by "Reclaimer"? They thought that it meant that humans were forerunners who were left behind from the "Great Journey". If that had been the case, then the covenant would have fallen apart, because it was based on the belief that anyone could travel on the Great Journey.

They actually saw the symbol for what they thought meant "Reclamation", the most holy Covenant time when they reclaim major Forerunner tech. The reason they started the war was because it is revealed it actually means "reclaimer" which in turn means the Forerunners chose another race to reclaim their technology, an honor the Prophets said was given to them.

Did you know that the Scarab has been featured in 5 Halo games, but is only drive-able in one of the Halo games? There has been many fans who have been asking for a drive-able scarab ever since it first appeared in Halo 2.

Did you know a mission was planned early on in the development of Reach for the play to drive a Scarab through the streets of New Alexandria. However it was scrapped early on as it would of been "pretty crazy" (a kind of quote, not exactly but pretty close)

Did you know you can fly both a Pelican and a Phantom in Reach if you complete a series of challenges.

Did you know you can get back in the Pelican after getting dropped of in both Halo CE and Halo 2. The Halo CE one will eventually just kill you where as the Halo 2 Pelican ride will result in the Pelican crashing in mid air an you floating in the air.

Did you know the Elites use the same hit markers as the Spartan models in the Halo games (3 and 2 at least). This results in the elite not being able to get shot in the neck because of different graphical proportions to the Spartans.

DId you know in the Halo 2 version of Beaver Creek if you move some boulders on one of the cliff faces there are words inscribed behind the rocks on the cliff.

Did you know you can infect Johnson with the flood in Halo 3. If you shoot him in the head on the final level he will die. When he does run through a blast door to lock him out. A new Johnson will spawn and just keep doing ot fopr each door. When you leave you can see them get infected. Johnson will remark at the impossibilty of this while it happens. You can also get an infinte ammo spartan lazer by shooting him in the head, using weapon swap repeated ly on his gun to move it away so he spawns a new gun when he gets up, killing him again and then the Spartan Laser he drops will have infinite ammo.

Did you know humans ate Moa meat.

Did you know humans had already made contact with alien life before the Covenant (Moa, Guta, etc) and initally this was amazing but eventually human just stopped caring because, ". No matter how big a splash you make in this world, whether you're a Corey Feldman, Frankie Muniz, Justin Bieber or a talking Teddy Bear, eventually nobody gives a ****."
This also meant there were planets with at least semi Earth like atmospheres in the universe that didn't need/ didn't need much terraforming.

Did you know there is a reference to Destiny in Halo Odst.

Did you know you can save the tank that gets destroyed by the Scarab in Halo 2.

Did you know there were skulls in Halo 2.

Did you know on the Halo 2 map Contaiment if you look at the Halo ring you can see a face in the cloud patterns.

Did you know during the entire Human-Covenant war Mars was never attacked, not even during Halo 3.

Did you know ONI had strict first contact scenarios planned out for eventual first contact with a intelligent species. The start of the human Covenant

war was presumably the worst possible one.

Did you know Insurrectionist had the capabilty to build their own ships, at least nearing the end of the Human-Covenant war they did.

Did you know Admiral Cole might sill be alive.

Did you know a female marine in Halo 2 was voiced by "That '70s Show" star Kurtwood Smith.

Did you know Halo 2 was supposed to have a lot more missions based on Earth but due to time constraints alot of the Earth content got scrapped. Alot of the content from the original Halo 2 E3 game play trailer still made it into the game however, even if toned down.

Did you Chips Dubbo was cut from the games and that makes me sad. His character was in Halo CE to Halo Reach(?) but is no longer in the game.

Did you know Sydney, Australia is a prominent military city in 2552.

Did you know a prestigious military academy of the UNSC Navy was built on the moon.

Did you know I could probably go for alot longer but it is 12:44 am so it is sleep time.

Did you know I was going to post links and references to what I just posted but as stated it is late/early and I am pretty lazy. Google them yourself first before asking questions.

Did you know sergeant Johnson was part of the ORION-1 project (Spartan-1, which failed because they used adults).

Master chief is a Reclaimed, which means he was born with human and forerunner blood!!! 343 told him in halo 3 what he was. People listen to the cutscenes in the game, you'll learn so much.

Did you know that calling Sergeant Major Avery Johnson a failure is a very bad thing to do. Also very naughty.

Did you know the Orion/Spartan I project(s) were by no means failures. They are among some of the greatest soldiers the UNSC had before Sparan IIs and the later generations. The program was scrapped because it wasn't cost effective and there was concerns about the long term affects and abilities of the soldiers. That is one reason the IIs were selected so young, they would have a longer operational capacity.

Did you know all humans are Reclaimers (not Reclaimed), not just Master Chief. And that humans being Reclaimers doesn't have anything to do with us having Forerunner blood. For Chief to be BORN with Forerunner blood his parents and their parents and so forth all the way back to the reseeding of humanity  would have to have the blood there by meaning there would be billions if not all humans with Forerunner blood.

Did you know the main reason we are Reclaimers is mostly due to the efforts of the Librarian whom would of created some sort of plugin for Forerunner tech to accept human biology back when the rings activated.

Did you know the Halo games only hold a small percentage of the Halo lore, even since Halo CE (Fall of Reach was released first). Watching the cutscenes and playing the game  is insightful but the books offer alot more context and content then the games ever could.

Did you know if you destroy the phantom just before the end of the Halo 3 mission "Crows Nest" the game will usually lag.

This can be achieved by saving a fuel rod cannon a hostile drops, then saving all the ammo. Before you go into the hangar, the final room with the elevator, stand in the door way in a position you can see the phantom. Don't go in or load the checkpoint or the phantom flies away. Shoot through the doorway at the phantoms weakpoint with the fuel rod and it should be destroyed leading to unusual lag.

Did you know there are countless Alien references in Halo: CE such as Apone and Johnson having striking similarities in the appearance department, and lines of dialogue being nearly Identical to Alien's lines.

Did you know that when Halsey first met John, she played a game with him and if he won, he would get to keep the coin? Also, the coin was a U.S. quarter.

Did you know Halo CE was originally supposed to be a open world sandbox game for the PC?

And while in production it was nicknamed Blam!
