This month's event takes place next Saturday, August 8, and as usual, it'll give players everywhere a chance to catch a Shiny Pokemon, learn a special event-exclusive move, and more. To help you prepare, we've rounded up everything you need to know about August's Community Day below. August's Featured Pokemon: Magikarp The majestic Magikarp This month's featured Pokemon is an unexpected choice: Magikarp, the notoriously useless fish Pokemon. All throughout August's Community Day, Magikarp will appear in the wild much more often than normal, and you'll have a greater chance to encounter a Shiny Magikarp during the event.
