Ubisoft recently revealed Operation Steel Wave, the Year 5, Season 2 update for Rainbow Six Siege that will introduce a panoply of new content to the game. This will include two new operators, the crowd-controlling Melusi and the breaching specialist Ace, as well as a new gadget for defenders called the proximity alarm. As part of this upcoming season, Ubisoft has tried out some changes to Siege on its test server, and we've got the full patch notes below.

The May 25 patch increased the damage of the ACS12 to make it more viable. It also fixed a nasty bug that caused gadget VFX effects to appear empty or missing. The May 26 patch dealt with some more technical issues, particularly two weapon animations not syncing up with their audio. Both patch notes include several known issues that have yet to be fixed, including areas of the House map that aren't supposed to be accessible to players.

Operation Steel Wave is set to release sometime in mid-June. In addition to all the features mentioned above, it will include a complete rework of the game's House map. In other Siege news, Ubisoft successfully removed a free-to-play mobile shooter from Google and Apple's mobile storefronts that the studio claimed was a copycat of Siege.
