Penalty For Quitting Matches

It is rare that I play an entire match without someone quitting on my or the opposing team. Players who actually quit or leave a match should be penalized in some way. I think not allowing them to join matchmaking for 10-20 minutes will help solve this problem.

I agree that 10 minutes may be a lot, but with only a 2 minute penalty people will still quit out of games. It doesn't even need to be a time penalty. They just need to come up with something to keep people from dropping out of games on purpose. It is extremely frustrating and ruins the game experience. They could even have a non-ranked queue that allows people to drop and even join mid game for those who want to play solo queue. As it is though, one man down is an extreme disadvantage.

What if their internet drops or the have to quit for real life reasons..... here is how I think it should work. :)

1 You quit once not penalty....

2 You quit twice you get a warning but no penalty

3 You lose your access to matching for 10 mins

and so on so forth.

This resets every five hours.

I like this idea, except more like 10-15 hours for the reset and increased amount of time 'banned' for every quit after the third. So something like this.

Quit 1: No penalty

Quit 2: Warning

Quit 3: Loss of access to matchmaking for 10 minutes

Quit 4: Loss of access to matchmaking for 20 minutes

Quit 5: Loss of access to matchmaking for 30 minutes

Quit 6: Loss of access to matchmaking for 1 hour.
