Halo 5: Guardians Mark VI - What's the difference?

So, recently we got to see a few sets of armor that you can earn in the Halo 5 Guardians Multi-player beta, but what is the difference between Mark VI and Mark VI Scarred?

Here are the noticeable things...

Mark VI (Normal Variant)

And here we have the Mark VI Scarred Variant.

One thing you can notice is the way the armor looks. We can see that some assets from the normal set are missing or changed in the Scarred version. But... We also notice that scarred has a cracked visor!

Whether this brings an aesthetic effect to the table or not though is something I and quite eager to find out...

Scarred's "scars" on the chest and shoulder is pretty patterned and not like a scar :3

It actually looks more like the outer armour layers have been removed - those areas look a little sunken next to the rest of the armour, and they follow the contour lines of the plated side.

The scarred variant is most likely the Master Chief's set. As we saw in the teaser trailer from 2013, his armour was looking a little worse for wear with a cracked visor and a large amount of the paint is weathered off.

But both of these sets of armour look far too shiny; it doesn't seem right for Spartans to walk into every battle sporting a new glossy coat of paint, especially with a cracked visor. They repaint their armour after every fight, but don't bother to fix their visor? What's with that?
