There will be an update coming to the Xbox One tomorrow that will allow users to upload recorded content from the Game DVR and edited content from Studio Upload directly to Youtube, Microsoft announced.

"Now, use Game DVR to capture epic gaming moments, edit them in Upload Studio, and, with the simple click of a button inside the YouTube app (look for My Uploads**), share them instantly to your YouTube channel."

No doubt this feature will get many Xbox fans who upload or would like to upload gaming content to Youtube excited for this new update. The update will also include media achievements, watch Youtube videos in Snap Mode and also allows you to add Youtube channels to the Xbox One guide for quick access.

The Xbox team also confirmed a GoPro channel will be coming to the Xbox 360 tomorrow for Gold subscribers and also sometime in the summer for the Xbox One as they originally announced it earlier this year. GoPro allows users to stream curated content to the channel for anyone to see and to celebrate the launch of the app Microsoft said they will be releasing two videos that will be temporarily exclusive to the Xbox community.

"On Tuesday, Xbox Live Gold subscribers around the world* can immerse themselves in wild adventures with the GoPro app on Xbox 360. Now you’ll be able to stream and curate GoPro video content from the largest screen in the house and to kick off the launch, GoPro is offering two exclusive (read: AWESOME) videos that the Xbox community will get one week before they’re available elsewhere."

So some pretty cool features are en route to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 tomorrow.

What do you think about the new updates, does having the ability to upload your gaming content directly to your Youtube channel make you look forward to the new features?

WOW this is huge news! Great article Adam and the GoPro feature and Upload to YouTube feature are great things. If Xbox One gets that 360 Emulator going this year then I think it'll be back to a no-competition race between console developers leaving Microsoft in first with overall sales.

Yes, thank the Monkey lords. I've been waiting for this feature for a very, very long time, it'll make my life as an Xbox One YouTuber much easier and hastle free. It's very good that I can just upload my vids straight to YT instead of having to go all the way downstairs to go on the computer and download the clip from Onedrive onto the hard-drive (which takes hours for me). I don't know why they didn't have it as a feature to begin with, it's rather silly really :)!

Also Adam, you should pop up in the SB more often :D!

Bad news for Elgato or whatever the Capture cards are called

Well not really, only 5 mins is the maximum time games can be recorded on the Xbox One's DVR. People that do Lets play's and walk through's would still use capture cards. If the max recording time is extended by a significant amount like around 15 mins at least then it could impact sales of capture cards to a certain extent.
