If you are a true fan of the Nintendo Franchise then you already know

that 2014 is going to be filled with goodies.

Nintendo Direct is an Online Presentation done by Nintendo

describing what the upcoming year is going to look like for them.

This year they had quite the full sack with lot of toys for all the good

little girls and boys.

Most of the conference held on Today, December 18th, 2013, had to do with the 3DS.

They started the presentation off strong with a glimpse at "Hyrule Warriors",

which, however, is not what you think.

This is going to be an extention of the "Dynasty Warriors" game franchise

not apart of the "Legend Of Zelda" franchise.

There was then talk of the recently announced Kirby: Triple Deluxe

and some new game modes that it will include. There will be a four playerfighter mode and

a rhythm-based plat former starring King Dedede.

Also, Nintendo announced the Yoshi's New Island.

This game will be on the 3DS platform.

That one will bring some classic feelings back to

the Nintendo platform.

Speaking of Classic feeling Nintendo is also planning to make a "reboot"

of the old Donkey Kong Country games.

The newest installment will be called Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

It will infuse that good old fashioned Donkey Kong feeling

with all new ways to experience the fun.

You will get the opportunity to play as multiple characters across your tropical journey's.

Then lastly in the big announcements, they announced another track

and some awesome footage of Mario Kart 8.

This time we get some awesome footage from an airport themed map.

And with that we come to a close.

Some of these games look really neat and I really like what Hyrule Warriors has to offer. I cannot wait for the next Yoshis Island game.

If only Nintendo had done this stuff when the Wii u came out the Wii u would have gone a lot better. :)

Zelda and Yoshi seem like a good shout. I already have Pokemon X, need more game though. Then again I bought Pokemon not realizing that the DS at home wasn't a 3DS, gotta get a 3DS now, haha.

I am a big Nintendo gamer. 3DS, DSI, DS Gameboy, WII, Gamecube. You name it. Thank you for the post. I did not have any knowledge of these new games coming out. Now I know. And now I want them

It would be nice if Nintendo tried to do something new for once.

That's a good point... Now that I look back at the OP I realize how they are remakes/spinoffs. Nothing truly "NEW" haha.

Nintendo is the one company that can get away with never being original. EA and acticision try to copy but end up falling short in terms of fun factor and quality... In my opinion of course...

The biggest problem with Nintendo is simple they are stuck in the 90s and 80s take the Wii u ads they are advertising family gaming but the thing is family gaming doesn't exist Nintendo is trying to live on a market that doesn't exist they believe there name will sell there products the thing is the industry isn't like that and Nintendo is just stuck doing nothing and staying in the safe zone Nintendo need to fire people and get fresh blood in there. :)

The problem is Nintendo is still able to sell games because of their established name and IPs. The only way they will try something new is if the consumers demand it.

Family Gaming is still a huge market. Not as popular as before but still H U G E.

Also remember Nintendo is aiming and always has been aiming to the younger audience. To the next generation of kids.

But consumers do demand it though. :)

I disagree. In order for consumers to demand something in the video game market they need to stop buying the products that continue to come out. Nintendo won't stop making Mario games unless people stop buying them.

I'm sorry I didn't see this early. These games look great and make me actually WANT a Wii U. If they make another Kirby game I think I'm going to have to get one haha

Bnus I don't think family gaming ever existed and that is why a ton of Wiis became dust collectors pretty fast and even if it did exist it is long gone by now and no longer exists. :)

Too bad the WiiU lacks third-party support which really limits its library of excellent games. The WiiU bombed big time, and I'm not sure how long it'll be until Nintendo are knocked out of the console market, along with Atari and Sega.

The WiiU may not be doing well but Nintendo rules the handheld department so I think they will be able to soldier on.
