Popular Post BeckoningZebra1 Posted June 4, 2013 Popular Post Report Share Posted June 4, 2013 Its always so fun trying to guess who the next MOM is gonna be, but when you log on only to see that your own name has been turned pink it adds so much more to that fun.I guess its because you don't expect it, anyways I just wanna start off by saying that I'm very honored to be called Member of the Month, on the month of my birthday too. I was looking at some of the past MOM posts to kind of get an idea of what to say (I'm not very good at writing/typing a bunch of stuff) and when I saw RSR's MOM post I realized we had a lot in common, I never made an introductory post (my first post was of reach's file share) my favorite number is 7, and if I had a favorite letter it'd be E(my name starts with an E) but anyways I figured I should give a little introductory post in my MOM post like he did so without further ado heres my introductory post and a recap of my membership here. My name is Ethan, I'm a devout Christian, love God, Star Wars, Halo, Minecraft, football (USA NE Patriots) , Legend of Zelda, and classic Mario. I've also developed a lot of interest in Lord of the Rings as of late. I enjoy learning about c++ (as little as my knowledge of it is) and trying to code things. That's not to say I'm any good at it, but I do enjoy it. In my free time I tend to be outside playing football with my friends or online playing halo or madden and yes I am good at doing those things. As for the things I dislike, I hate mushrooms and olives, I have an extremely high level if intolerance for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I hate losing with a passion. Anyways when I first joined this site my username was EpicEthan97, I got in the shout box and talked to EpicAnnouncer(don't know what ever happened to him and a now good friend of mine Azaxx. We talked for a bit and I began to love this site. I would get up an hour or two early just to browse through the forums and chat with Azaxx before I got on my schoolwork. I ended up attending a Reach play date, it was so fun. I got to talk to Absolute Dog (you sounded exactly the way I thought you would) he introduced me to skummiegummigube ( I'm not entirely sure how to spell that) and a few other people including imakequilts. But then my Saturdays got a lot busier, and I've been unable to attend any playdates since. Maybe my schedule will change soon though. But when Spades started Friday Night Customs, the lobby would stay up late enough for me to join in and when I did join, I had a blast!One of the things i still remember(and I have to include this) is once on a CLUE game night we were playing and it was getting pretty late, well the next thing I notice is Spades' spartan wasn't moving and he was no longer talking in his mic. He had fallen asleep with his mic still on, Im not sure if he was snoring or if he rolled onto his mic but I sure did hear some weird noises, lol. It was so fun. (Also this is about the time I changed my name to my GT, because Spades suggested it'd make it easier for people to find me) Then Spades got fed up with 343Industries, (the company not this site) and took a break from custom game nights until further notice. (We miss you Spades) That's about it I've been having fun ever since I joined this site and hope to have even more in the future.And now for the shout outs/Thank you's Azaxx- Thanks for being there in the SB everytime I log on and putting up with me when I first joined. I enjoy your alternate ODST story and your friendship Sykowolf- Good Luck as you head into basic training, stay safe DocSpartan007-Thank you for your service to our country DoctorB77- I enjoyed playing in the DGL, thank you for starting that up Choot 'em- Thank you for being so very kind to me, and for what you did. It's something to be admired of, thanks Absolute Dog- Thank you for being so kind throughout my membership here. You've been patient with me and very gracious so again thanks 343iBot- You sent me my first pm and I still haven't deleted it, I'm here if you ever need me And last but certainly not leastTWAM, Thank you for not only creating this awesome site but for If I missed anyone it's not because I care any less about you but because I don't want to overload the site lol. Each and every one of you have a very special place in my heart. Also before I end this let me just say USF Presidential Election is coming up and there's a pretty good guy out there running, I think his name is Zebra or something, you should probably vote for him. Another also not sure if MOM's still do this but hey, whatever I'll do it. My MOM wish is (1) When getting shot by a BR change how much the shields go down make it one shot equals 1/3 of shield so after 3 shots you're shields are down completely. That's just a little pet peeve of mine. It was fun and interesting and I've pulled that same thing one time where I just fell asleep with my mic on . Beckoningzebra you've come a long way in a short time and it's great to see a member who cares so much. Thank you for the shoutout and thanks for this great MoM post that I hope everyone reads through fully. As for your first MoM wish we might be able to do something about that during Staff vs Members but as for your second, I think we can definitely make that happen. But that's not the point of this thread, the point is congratulating you on being MoM. Awesome job, well done, bravo. At least I did in the announcements. But other things were keeping me busy. So I do feel pretty bad that I couldn't even browse the forums at the time to find the MoM's. I only saw what was in the announcements and did what I could to congratulate all the MoM's.
