Forward Unto Dawn: Incorrect Timeline

I have recently been reading up some information on the Halo Wiki and noticed that the Corbulo Academy of Military Science is attacked in 2526 in the new MJOLNIR MK VI power armor but does not receive this armor until he is aboard the Cairo Station back at earth (Halo 2) meaning up until that point in time he had MJOLNIR MK V power armor which can be seen in Halo Combat Evolved. Did anyone else notice this? Or any others?

At the beginning of the Human/Covenant War, the Spartan-IIs were issued Mark IV (4) Mjolnir armour: this occurred in 2525, one year before the attack on the Corbulo Military Academy. The latin symbol 'IV' (4) looks very similar to 'VI' (6), so it's possible that you either misread it, there was a typo on the wiki, or that the author himself wasn't familiar with the latin numerical system or just made a good old fashioned mistake.

In 2551, the Mark IV (4) was replaced with the Mark V (5) Mjolnir armour, which itself was upgraded to the Mark V v2 (5, version 2) in 2552, during the Battle of Reach in August. The version 2 variant was only in service for two months, as it was replaced by the Mark VI (6) in October of that year.

Also worth noting is that while the standard Mark V (5) armour looks quite different from all other variants (and did not, in fact, appear to have a 'standard' configuration until the second generation), the Mark IV (4) and Mark VI (6) have a very similar appearance. Therefore, while in Forward Unto Dawn the Master Chief's armour appears quite similar to the armour he'd be using 27 years later, they are in fact two very different sets.

What? In both The Package and FuD, the master chief wears THE SANE MJOLNIR MK IV ARMOUR!

Unlike 3-4, the armour doesn't magically change between sources. If it is the same make of armour, it makes sense to look the same!

What you didn't understand~ is that the comparison from "The Package" was Mark VI..not Mark IV.

They placed "The Package" at a point in the Covenant war MUCH after chief had been out of Mark IV. So either he was wearing Mark IV, and "The Package" was wrong, or he's wearing Mark VI, and, heaven forbid, some movie producer got lazy and screwed up. It's called artistic liscense, and in this case, was used poorly~

No. Considering the MK V was introduced in 2551, and in the two final years of the War, Halsey was never captured; she couldn't have been to work on new MJOLNIR generations. So the only logical reason is in the 26 years before. Also, Solomon and Arthur were dead BEFORE the Battle of Reach, the Master Chief got his armour after the battle; After the Battle, when he got the MK VI armour, he didnt have enough time; almost immediately, he joined in the defense of Earth, the battle of Installation 05, The second Battle of Earth and the Battle of Installation 00. After the Ark, he was frozen in Cryo before the events of Origins and Halo 4.

Another point to add is that Kelly was not found until 2553, by which time, Tje Chief had been in Cryo. This adds further proof.

In other words, canonically, the armour in The Package cannot have been any armour other than MK IV, as MK VI was in service for about a month before it was not used again. Bear in mind that MK IV was used for the majority of the war, so this isn't impossible but more likely.

He actually had the Mark II armor at that time if I'm not wrong. I need to rewatch Forward Unto Dawn but that armor didn't have shields yet. Mark III might have, I don't remember too much about it.

Thisisnt possible- the MK II and III suits were designed much like the Cyclops- heavy, bulky and had to be attached to nearby generators- utterly useless on the battlefield. They were used for heavy lifting and for marines to trainthe spartan II's safely in hand to hand combat. They were never deployed in battle

If this arguement will include what spartans where present and when spartans died, allow to point out that "The Package" already breaks all those rules by having a large number of spartans die there which hadn't died or died elsewhere. Therefore this argument is nul...

There were 33 Spartans. A couple did die throughout the war, just MOST died on Reach.

However, due to the fact you have no response for the rest, I presume you admit defeat. Raise your white flag fool!

The Package takes place before the Fall of Reach, John receives his Mjolnir Mk V power armor right before the Covenant attack Reach.

So in the package he cannot being wearing Mk V, and common sense says he isn't wearing Mk VI. So in the package he is wearing Mk IV (4). As his armor is exactly the same in FuD as it is in the Package he is clearly wearing Mk IV.

The problem comes from the dumb artist of the package who decided to make Chief's Mk IV armor almost exactly the same as his Mk VI.

Now this I KNOW isn't true because Halsey was suposedly captured AFTER Reach... Jun was killed and the ship she was on didn't make it out of the system.

She was never captured after Reach, she escaped to Castle base and eventually headed off towards Onyx.

Plus in the package she has blonde hair, she is clearly younger.

Then given that Chief has absolutely no time at all after Reach to save her, it didn't happen after Reach.

What does that have to do with anything?

The timeline is simple

1. Spartans got Mk IV armor in 2525

2. FuD takes place in 2526

3. The Package happend

4. Chief gets Mk V armor in 2552

5. Reach falls in 2552

Then every event follows leaving pretty much no time with installations 4,5 and 00, Earth, First strike, Cauro Station and FuD then H4.

Min no particular order o course.

No. She went to CASTLE. After linking up with the little remnants of the SPARTAN IIs, they ventured underground into a forerunner structure before finding a crystal their pursuers were after. They were then rescued by Chief, Cortana and the other Halo survivors, before jumping out of system. At no time, did Halsey ATTEMPT to leave the system, until Chief found her in a forerunner structure.

Alright I'm going pull something out here. In Forward Unto Dawn, All of the Covenant wear Storm Armor, which the Storm Covenant wear in Halo 4. I don't want to think that 343 just gave them all that armor just to showcase it. I like to think that that specific armor had been around since Forward Unto Dawn leading into Halo 4. This would make sense since the Covenant remnant had to scrap for armor and supplies since replacements for armor pieces were starting to dwindle. It also would make sense for the Covenant to pull up the old Storm armor in Forward Unto Dawn and begin wearing it again.
