New Melee Weapons.

Back in Halo 3 you could get a katana on your back but you couldn't use it which made me RAGE!

But it would be cool if 343 brought back the katana in Halo 5 but have the ability to use it though.

They seem passable. No katanas, they were out of place in Halo 3.

Wouldn't be nice if they made a hardlight axe? I mean, there's a sword, and a hammer, so I guess that an axe would be a plausible idea.

No katanas, they'd just snap when hitting MJOLNIR armour. And they really don't fit in with the universe.

They shouldn't make weapon which worked excatly like the sword/(hammer) with different skin. Maybe something which is mix between long range and melee weapon. A Forerunner tool maybe? Weapon could both shoot and had better melee or the melee had larger range.

 

This made me think a new armor ability. The teleporting device which would allow player move like the prometheans. It would make using melee weapons more interesting.(overpowered for multiplayer? Campaign and custom games only?)

Would be cool if the DMR or BR had like a bayonet at the end and when you assassinate an enemy with it, you stab them with that instead of the knife you carry.

 

Would be cool to see a Promethean melee type weapon made of hard light or a UNSC variation of the Energy Sword.

 

Doubt anything like this is in the works though.

I like the idea of a spear. Impaling someone in an assassination would be pretty epic.

The axe would have some cool assassinations. Like splitting their skull and kicking them free of the blade or taking their feet out from under them and driving the blade into their chest.

Just bring back brute shot style weapons, they do a bit more melee damage and are still very useable guns...

 

I wish they had never removed them although I know there are no brutes in the game so see the reasoning.

Gravity mace. Not as powerful as the gravity hammer. But can still 1 hit and swings twice as fast. You can also switch to it faster.

I'd like to see something like the red prototype energy swords from the story 'HeadHunters',

in the book Halo Evolutions.

I'd find it curious to how it works and if there's anything interchangable.

Whatever the case is, that is my though on a new introduced melee weapon.

I think a throw-able melee weapon would also be nice, for example, my Hardlight Axe idea, and after being thrown you can pick it up and reuse it for a certain amount of times.

The Covenant could have a glove with talons at the end made of energy. So you could make quick assassinations. Or maybe they could have a net that you could slice people with if you hit them.

Id like to see bayonets on ar's (close range weapon) but big bayonets that look like swords almost big serrated chunky swords.
