OrangeSpartan
Do you think visor colors in halo 4 will be free like armor colors? -OrangeSpartan I think it might because it has so many colors to pick from. -OrangeSpartan
Stealth Pilot
I hope, but most likely not. I am guessing they are not too hard to unlock though.
iTz Vplus2
As far as i know, there will be no credits system in Halo 4 at all so everything will be free Of course you'll probably have to complete certain tasks to get them though
Mr. DJ
I think you will have to get to a certain rank, and probably do something to unlock it, like in halo 3.
Anarchy
What i saw from a video from all of the visor colors it looked like it was free like armor colors so ya.
Tallgeese
I believe there are a few that are free from the start, but the rest are unlocked as you level through the 1-50 levels. Also there are certain visor colors unlocked for each Specialization.

36-2071 Pragmatic Avarice
I found paying for visors that have less or just generic visor (Black, and Gold, were all I cared about in Reach) colors to be kinda dumb. So I'm glad we have an even more fair and balanced unlocking system now.
Stealth Pilot
I personally do not care about visor colors. Some of them are just too obnoxious for me. I will stick with the basic ones. Frost looks especially cool.
Ryu♥Hayabusa
You have to buy armor, weapons, AA's, and likely visor colors too. See, you earn XP to rank up, then each rank nets you a certain amount of a currency used to buy said items. The visor colors are in a section like the weapons and armor are so I believe we will have to buy them. It only makes sense.
Fail Master
you earn visor colours when you pass a specialisation level, a different colour for every specialisation
FerretOfAir
you earn visor colours when you pass a specialisation level, a different colour for every specialisation To be completely accurate, you unlock two visor colors for every specialization. Each specialization completed unlocks a two-toned color, of which my favorite is the Stalker (Green/yellow) variant so far.
Tallgeese
On top of the two visor colors you unlock with each Specialization, you also unlock visor colors while leveling 1-50. If you look at some of the recent PAX gamefootage that shows the visor colors, there are way more than 16 visor colors. The visor colors unlocked 1-50 are single toned colors (red, blue, green, yellow, black etc.)
iTz Vplus2
Bottom Line is there will be LOADS of visor colors in this game and you don't have to pay for any of them. Because having to earn them isn't the same as having to pay for them.
DoctorB77
It looks to me as if it will be a mixture. Some colors you can buy. Whilest others have the names of loadouts that are unlocked during the game such as officer.

DoctorB77
Do you have a link to an official post or any other video/screenshot that shows/confirms a credits system? I saw a post listing all of the armor and visors. Visor colors have names now instead of colors. Some examples are Midnight and Equinox. Then other visor colors had names that were class names such as stalker and water works.

I saw that too, don't know how that proves that they have to be bought though. My guess is that the visor colors you get via Specializations are the ones named after the different specializations and the other ones like Midnight etc. are unlocked by other means, probably leveling. I think if there were an actual credits system in this game, it would already be announced by now.

I also hope that there are some unlocks for doing achievements like in Halo 3.
Tallgeese
I remember in a waypoint post BS Angel stating that there will be rewards like there were armor rewards in Reach for getting certain previous Halo achievements. Should be pretty sweet. Also I believe Kiki Wolfkill said that you unlokc the visor colors throughout the 1-50 levels. The specialization visor colors are unlocked in each specialization 1-10 levels.
