I do not know what game you have been playing, but Jorge dies a long time before you play "The Package". Jorge dies whilst automatically detonating the makeshift slipspace bomb which destroys the Supercarrier; Long Night of Solace. This was because it had taken some damage and the timer was fried.

The human you saw escorting Dr. Catherine Halsey was in fact Jun, the marksman of Noble. He was asked to escort Halsey to Castle Base; however, his ultimate fate is unknown.

Isn't it possible that Jorge survived though? I don't know the physics of slip-stream travel, but, wouldn't Jorge just be transported to a far away location (or near by, maybe?). And, once there, couldn't he survive if he put his helmet back on? He wouldn't survive for a long time (half an hour I think), but, He could have been picked up by a passing ship.

His records say KIA

If you play "The Package" I noticed Jorge does not come with you;He walks off with Halsey (His mom) and after you leave Halsey's lab it caves in... Anyone know what happens to him?

Jorge dies in a massive Slipspace explosion on-board the supercarrier Long Night of Solace. Also Halsey isn't his mother.

Jun escorts halsey. Jorge died i nlong night of solace because he had to dentonate the bomb himself, which would kill him.

It wasn't a bomb, It was a slip space drive. Who cares what the reports say, maybe the people who wrote the report decided that he was dead because he/she was lazy. Once the short range retrieval mission was abandon they list him as KIA while a non-UNSC ship picks him up and he is never heard from within the UNSC.

I'm pretty sure Kat, Jun and Jorge aren't dead. You see, Kat died from a supercombine needle in the head. How many supercombine needles were ever in your head: 82,000,000,000,000,000. Also all of the NPC's are invincible in gameplay so they might as well be invincible in real life. And like said, it wasn't a bomb, it was a slip-space rupture meaning that Jorge was teleported to the void. Also, Jun just walks away. How Ironic that these three spartan's go MIA.

Many people got to it first, but Jorge dies in an explosion in space, in the mission "The Package", that is Jun who goes with Dr. Halsey. His fate is unknown.

It just occurred to me that they might reveal Jun's fate in HALO 4........

Also, Dr. Halsey isn't his mom, she is just a mother figure to him. In her lab notes that came in the legendary edition that I got it says she personally attended to him since he was a child. She is in a sense his mother, but not genetically.

Are we seriously still discussing this? It is NOT possible for Jorge to survive that; it is like saying a flood spore dances in ballerina shoes. He sacrificed his life to detonate the makeshift bomb and you saw the Supercarrier explode, it would not be possible for anyone to survive that fall and he would die without any oxygen in space. His helmet was to protect his face and keep track of his system diagnostics, not supply him with oxygen. I find in quite ridiculous that somebody is asking this sort of a question when the game has nearly been out for two years.

I find it hard to believe that people still haven't completed the Campaign.

Erm... no. Not even close. If you are talking about the ending of H3, that was a slipspace portal collapsing. In Halo Reach, it was a slipspace drive overloading. Two VERY different things.

I think he means in halo 2 when chief returns the covenant bomb back to the covenant ship and jumps back to the UNSC frigate.

I agree it would be cool to see Jun in Halo 4, but I doubt it will be so. I do not dash the possibility completely, but from my understanding, Halsey is seperated from him at a certain point and from there, we no longer have any information. I've heard of a Halo novel series which hightlights some of Halsey's journey, but I don't think they mention Jun...
