  1. Halo MCC Forge Maps #23 -Ball Pit (Halo 2 Anniversary Custom Map) In this Halo MCC Forge Map we are playing Ricochet Ball on a multi-team map. This map is made with a big Pit in the middle that funnels exploding balls into the area where the score balls are. The MasterChief is then forced to jump into the pit and grab a ball and has to throw it into the enemies Goal. This game has a close range weapon set to create close battles. It also features some of my Halo 2 Anniversary Rock Sculptures. If you want to see more sculptures check out my Halo Art Page at www.slothyforger.com Map Title: BALL PIT Gametype(s): Ricochet Players: 8-12 Author: sloth1982, x sl0th x Twitter: https://twitter.com/SlothyGamer82 XBOX LIVE GT - ( sloth1982 ) !!! 2. DOWNLOAD MINIDROME --------------------------------- This map was originally designed for my mini-game Railnums (see below) and has been significantly modified to provide suitability for other gametypes. Feedback on this map is desired, and updates will be posted periodically. --------------------------------- Description: This map features two vulnerable, low-elevation bases separated by a raised central hall. Above the hall on either side are platforms, with an exposed sniper spawn between them. Four smaller platforms are arranged at the map corners. Jumps are designed into virtually all locations. --------------------------------- Gametypes: FFA, Team Slayer (up to 4 teams), Ricochet, CTF, Extraction, KoTH, Oddball. --------------------------------- Design Notes: Jumps: Most jumps can be executed using NS (120% speed) settings. Two designed jumps require thruster pack with NS. All jumps can be executed with standard (110% speed) + sprint gametypes without thruster. All playing surfaces accessible to jetpacks are accessible via jumping. Spawning: Spawning has been tested up to 4v4 play. Due to the small size of the map, spawns were located away from power position lines-of-sight and heavily loaded in the areas adjacent to the Ricochet goals. --------------------------------- Ordnance: - 2x Railguns (small platforms, each closer to one base), 120s spawn - 1x Sniper (central exposed spawn, equidistant from bases), 150s spawn Weapons: - 2x Loadout Weapons (one set per base - presently temporary for testing, but may become permanent) Grenades: - 12x Frags --------------------------------- --------------------------------- DOWNLOAD MINIDROME --------------------------------- Railnums Gametype: Link - Railgun (primary) + Magnum (Secondary) + 2 Frags (on-map ordnance/weapons disabled) - Thruster pack, AA efficiency, Dexterity - 10 minutes - 300 pts, 10 team points per kill - +5 team score for headshots - +10 team score for assassinations - Friendly fire ON - +3s suicide / betrayal respawn penalty - 110% Damage (yielding 5SK Magnum) - Motion tracking for Allies Only - No shield indicator - No kill cam
  3. Gametype Download: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/324ba930-abed-4c31-9a17-b3643d940a7a Map Download: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/5a1920da-e442-4ff5-af2f-925754ce4d52Hey this is my first map I'm posting! So Divine Wind on USS Sinker recreates the Kamikaze attacks of WWII. One team flies Kamikazes (Banshees) into the Battleship's turrets (Scorpions)! By using the Ricochet gametype as a base, the 8 Banshees are the balls and the 3 Scorpions are the goals. When a Banshee ball enters a Scorpion goal, the goal is destroyed permanently, so expect the final goal to be heavily defended! I want to make more Divine Wind kamikaze maps in the future so let me know what you think! This map and gametype were made 100% by TEAM SALTA
  4. THERMOPYLAE Maximus IL Updated 11/9/13 Thermopylae is a small-to-medium sized map designed primarily with CTF in mind (6 - 10 players), but should play Slayer with sprint down to 2v2. NS settings should be played with 3v3 or 4v4. Map Info Canvas: Ravine Size: A bit smaller than Solace Layout: Symmetrically designed and positioned bases. The playspace around the bases is somewhat asymmetric. Both bases are connected by a 3-level structure through the narrows, with 5 total routes. The bottom and mid routes are connected in the center and at the ends. Players can jump between the top routes. Each base has three entry points and a side platform with a view of the middle route, while a taller platform and Dominion piece block the LOS for the top assault route. The top routes and basement routes cannot be covered from the bases or platforms. Changes from WIP Version: 1. Teleporters no longer give immediate access to the bases (thanks Juanez Sanchez). They are now used to transition between lower and mid. The fourth route to the bases formerly provided by the teleporters is now a hard route. 2. Oddball, Extraction, and KoTH added. 3. Additional spawning changes. 4. Fixed some jump-ups. Ordnance: 1x Railgun (100s), 2x Needler (130s, one for each base) Weapons: 2x each DMR, Carbine, BR, AR Grenades: 8x Pulse, 8x Frag Overview: Additional Notes: Some play area is hidden by the cliffs (they overhang). The coliseum walls on the right hand side of the map are no longer present. I deliberately avoided coloring any pieces, as I think Ravine is so much prettier without that. It shouldn't be hard to tell where you are on this map . . . coloring just adds clutter. Other Screenshots: THERMOPYLAE
  5. GT: TheBloodbath22 Suggested Player Count: 8 - 10 Supported Gametypes: Ricochet, CTF, Slayer Initial Ordnance: Sniper x2 (135), Neutral Fuel Rod Cannon x1 (200) Random Ordnance: Neutral Railgun x2, Neutral Saw x2, and 3 Plasmas x2 A Note: Well hello fellow Cartographers. TheBloodbath22 here. It's really been a long while, since my submitting maps anywhere online for feedback proved utterly fruitless, leading to trolling, heckling, and truly nonconstructive comments. But a Ricochet forge contest brought me back from my slumber, as it is my new favorite gametype. I hope for a BTB version. Anyhow it's good to be back, for however momentarily, and I appreciate your reading and consideration! DOWNLOAD HERE: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/9357bc1d-7908-434b-aa7a-2d5a3bc9ca40 DESCRIPTION: Medium (?) sized competitive symmetrical arena on forge island canvas, shaped like an Hourglass. I aimed for a design that would smoothly balance between simplicity and unique gameplay. Straightforward, but flavorful. Cannons with delayed spawning, abundant ordnance, and more deliberately open spaces than cover favor communication and strategy. Teamwork is almost essential to thrive here, unlike many other designs. This is subjectively a plus. Alas, some photographs! PLEASE NOTE: The rear side walls have been removed for easier scoring from either end of the main bases. And that's that! Thank you so much! I love sharing my work, though this time the map was created and designed strictly for Halowaypoint. I hope you all enjoy. I admit I am not really open to feedback here online anymore, this is more of a simple submission through and through. However! if anyone would like to establish mutual testing of any forges, I would be delighted. Best of luck in all your hard work! FRIEND TheBloodbath22 FOR MUTUAL FORGE TESTING!
  6. DOWNLOAD HALODROME Canvas: Impact Players: 8 - 12 Gametypes: Slayer CTF Oddball KoTH Extraction Regicide Grifball Ricochet Supported Gametypes: Ricochet (primary), CTF, Extraction, KoTH, Oddball, Team and FFA Slayer, and (just for kicks) Grifball. Description: Halodrome is the bigger brother of Minidrome, designed for the 343i Ricochet Forge Contest. There are four primary routes between the bases: upper, lower, and each side. Both sides directly connect to upper mid and lower mid, allowing the routes to be used in different combinations. All ball spawns occur along the midline of the map on the upper level. While upper mid has good sightlines to the bases and the exit of the lower routes, it is completely exposed by design, with protected approaches from the green and gold lifts. Goals: Since Ricochet allows players to score from a distance, a special goal was designed for that gametype (scoring from the midline was trivially easy with only the CTF setup). The goal makes scoring quite difficult from the center mid bridges or platforms (at least, in testing no one was able to do it in-game), but does allow reasonably easy scoring from behind the Y-crosses on the side routes, and easy scoring anywhere in the arc between the side platforms and basement ramp. It is also possible to score blind from behind the center Y-cross pair on the upper level (above the opening to the basement) and on the ramp up from the basement. During testing, most goals were scored by throws within 10 units of the goal. The difference in the goals is depicted below, with Ricochet pictured first, followed by CTF and Grifball: Ordnance:1x Railgun (lower mid, 140s timer) and 2x Concussion Rifles (wide ramps, one nearer to each base, 130s timers) Weapons:2x Needlers (no extra clips, 100s timers) adjacent to each base, various loadout weapons, frag and pulse grenades. No plasma grenades are on-map. Other Comments:I added Grifball because I could. I don't really have a better reason. And yes, the spawns have been tested . . . you can spawn camp all day long just like in real Grifball. Other Screenshots: And we'll finish up with a screencap of a posthumous Ricochet goal . . . killed in mid-jump to the goal. So close to the +50 . . . yet so far away. DOWNLOAD HALODROME
  7. INHERITOR By Squally DaBeanz Players: 4-8 Gametypes: Slayer, CTF, KotH, Ricochet Inheritor is a medium sized symmetrical map with a two base design. The map was designed with symmetrical objective gametypes in mind (especially Ricochet), and takes subtle design elements from Midship, The Pit, and Gemini. The map is divided into five main areas: The two bases (Red and Blue), the upper platform (Gold), the middle atrium, and the outer balcony (Green). There are also various jumps throughout the map for quicker movement between areas. A majority of the jumps have been optimized for easy use. Each base has a bridge leading into the middle atrium, a tunnel housing the sniper with a lift at the end, and two large ramps leading up to the lift exit. The upper area of each base leads into gold, while the doorway on the other end connects to the outer balcony. The outer balcony curves around the outside of the map, connecting the two bases and the middle atrium and houses a teleporter leading to gold. Gold is a large platform with a ramped structure dividing sightlines between each base landing, and has sightlines over the middle atrium. The middle atrium has two ramps leading to a floating middle platform, and two small balconies connecting to each base looking down on the platform. A sword spawns on the middle platform and a rocket launcher spawns out on green, by the teleporter entrance. Each team gets a sniper off of spawn, with quick access to Gold via the lifts. Enjoy! 9. Hey folks! TheBloodbath22 here. October 8th is the deadline for a Ricochet forge contest, and I'm looking to test out my submission before I, well, submit it. So I'll need a few players to check it out with me, see what kinks I can work out, etc. I'm also concerned about its size, since it's supposed to be mid-sized at most, and it sort of walks a thin line, there. So here's a little info: Competitive symmetrical mid-sized arena shaped like an hourglass, supports Ricochet/CTF/Slayer, on canvas Forge Island. An attempt to fuse by-the-numbers design with unique gameplay features. Download Map Here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/9357bc1d-7908-434b-aa7a-2d5a3bc9ca40 Side Profile: Note!!: Those cannons at the top of the rock 3's at center are delayed spawns to change gameplay. Even later in the game, those exposed ramps that lead up to the bases also receive a cannon each, leading into the goals--once again adjusting gameplay. These absolutely require playtesting. Bases Note!!: Please keep in mind that the rear walls at the sides of the bases have been removed, to allow for easier Ricochet scoring from either side. This is just one of the many things that requires testing! No one makes a perfect map, and I am well ready for constructive, I repeat only constructive feedback. We here all know how much hard work and time we put into our forges, fellow Cartographers. Thank you all so much for your time and attention! I have a mic. So friend me, I'll work out a 4v4 gametime!
  10. Download Link ter.mi.nal ve.loc.i.ty nounPhysics noun: terminal velocity; plural noun: terminal velocities 1. the constant speed that a freely falling object eventually reaches when the resistance of the medium through which it is falling prevents further acceleration. Terminal Velocity is my first "real" Halo 4 Forge map. Up to this point, I had only gone into Forge to create "Oldschool" maps, by placing weapons similar to Halo 3 for appropriate gametypes, and setting up a type of Neutral Bomb before the mods started coming out. I have been hosting custom lobbies for Forgers for some time, and finally decided to design my own creation. Squad Battle in Halo 3 was my all-time favorite playlist, and the inspiration for the size of my map. My lobbies, most recently carrying the title "Spartans' Playground", reflect the type of maps I personally enjoy experiencing: those maps that transport you to another world, a unique experience, whether it is visually or it surprises you with an unexpected element. I especially enjoy maps that allow free exploration and limited boundaries. I tried to encompass these qualities in Terminal Velocity, which has minimal kill zones (Think, the sand dunes on SandTrap...), and a unique spawn system. Spartans were made for this... Terminal Velocity is set up for competitive 6v6: Slayer, Dominion (not tested yet), CTF, Ricochet (not tested yet). At this time there are no weapons spawns, as I am still studying map balance, which so far is unexpectedly fairly sound using default War Games Infinity.
