  1. Hey everyone! This is just a little poll for me to get a read on people who play on the 3DS and play competitively. I know we have a lot of wonderful PC and XB360 and XB1 playdates, I'd also love to host a sort of tourney or event, or just a hang out of some kind with some 3DS gamers! So all honest input on the poll would be extremely helpful! Thanks!
  2. Bungie and Activision's newly released smash hit IP Destiny has now garnered over 500 million dollars in game sales being shipped to stores, meaning Activision has now broken even on marketing costs. If you haven't heard someone mention Destiny, whether you've got your mind wrapped around what exactly the game is or not, you've either been living under a rock or have forgotten someone mention it, which is highly unlikely since it's been talked about nonstop. Polygon.com reports that all that talk really did work out in the end for Activision and Bungie as the game has earned over half a billion US dollars in worldwide shipping to retail stores on the game alone. This massive earning makes Destiny the biggest new game franchise launch title in history, surpassing anything before it in terms of hype. However, just because the game has been shipped to stores doesn't mean all those copies sold, but it is a good estimate as it shows the expectations companies had for the game. Activision has yet to release actual sales on the game itself, but estimate it to be quite high, possibly even beating last year's colossal Grand Theft Auto V launch. Bobby Kotick, Activision Blizzard CEO, had this to say, "This industry milestone marks another blockbuster success for our company and demonstrates our unique ability to create some of the most successful entertainment franchises in the world. The success of Destiny, along with the recent introduction of Blizzard Entertainment's Hearthstone, is further validation of our unique capabilities to create great entertainment franchises from the ground up." Thank you so much for reading this article!

  4. Not Sure If You Noticed But You Just Paid In Real Currency Today when you hopped on your Xbox 360 (figuratively) you probably got prompted to update. That is if you have Xbox Live Gold. This update had only one purpose in mind and that was to change from the old "Microsoft Points" to actual real life currency. So for me here in the US I know see Dollar Signs ($) When I want to purchase a new game or get DLC. In my opinion this is great I was tired of buying Microsoft point just to pay for something else. To me this makes things a lot less confusing and a little more streamline. But enough about me, What do you think about this update? Recent Update: Current Microsoft point can be converted but will only be available until June 1, 2015. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxCp9NmdcOM

  7. First of all I am 43. Not some whiney assed teenager, or young child with nothing better to do. I have played Halo from the beginning, and never before has there been this xp cap/specialization lock. In less than a month (cause Legendary is way too easy) I have cleared the campaign, cleared spartan ops (up to this point), and reached level 70 only to find out that after paying 60 bucks for HALO 4, and buying a map pack (cause I have always bought every map pack) that all of that money was wasted due to some arrogant geek sitting behind a computer trying to figure out better ways to enforce greed upon the customers. Now I am stuck while my xbox live account timer is ticking away, till a ¨patch¨ is written to ¨fix¨ a problem that shouldnt have even been written into the program! So as of this posting I will have a full month of xbox live account time before 343 will have this patched. (or so they say) I can only think that there will be a whole NEW level when HALO 5 comes out, and am starting to have serious reservations about whether or not to buy that one when it comes out. Or to even buy the new xbox 720. (we have 5 xbox 360s in this household, REACH, MW3, H4, and two plain ones) HALO is supposed to be the flagship game of xbox, NOT the game that eventually causes its downfall. At the time of this posting it appears to me that xbox giving HALO to 343 is like a corvette being given to a 5yr old. All they can do is wreck it. How about we fire whoever came up with the following ideas, and give raises to whomever can fix 343 employees have made so far. 1. Whoever came up with throwing the damned oddball. 2. Whoever had absolutely NO imagination when they designed the armor. 3. Whoever came up with the specializations idea. 4. Whoever made Legendary so easy that a child could beat it within a 12 hour period. Even without the REAL WORLD way of saying it, number 5s skulls looking like they were drawn on with a crayon remains.
  8. Good Day 343, I wanted to bring to your attention, 343, that your ongoing mishandling of the level cap situation is costing you fans, active players, and money. First of all, the fact that you're withholding game-altering content from a large segment of your players is not only unprecedented in the Halo series, it's completely illogical and alienating. Technically, the game isn't "fair". Since I played before November 20th, I have access to certain parts of the game that others do not, arguably giving me an advantage. Sure, it might be minimal, but it's a difference nonetheless. Second, I don't know if you've noticed, but the video game industry has exposed the fact that a lot of people like level progression systems. Even if they suck at Halo, they get to feel good by leveling up. I've got my own gripe about that, but you're already addressing it with a ranking system. Definitely great job on that. However, I personally know at least three people who have quit playing the game because they can't progress ahead of level 70. There's a "what's the point if I can't get XP?" attitude running rampant throughout your fan base that is stuck at 70. Many have expressed that they won't come back if the level cap is lifted because they feel they've been wronged. Realistically, you've punished a lot of them for having real lives apart from Halo. Maybe Halo wasn't their top priority and it's possible that they didn't have the money to purchase your game before November 20th. Seriously? Punish them for that? You might reframe it not as "punishment" but as a "reward" for those who bought LE or played pre November 20th. That's just silly, the "reward" is game altering content that affects in-game play and gives an advantage. In conclusion, I'm utterly dumbfounded that the level cap hasn't been lifted yet. Perhaps it's something beyond my comprehension with regards to the programming or development that must take place to lift it... But that seems somewhat unlikely. You're losing fans, players, and money in future map pack sales and Halo 5 sales. People are not happy. Use your head and lift the level cap. Sincerely, Shreepsy, concerned huge fan.
  9. Just curious as to what the people of the forum use as money in Minecraft on the Xbox 360. Also I would like to know why. I use flint as money. I use it because it has no use that is absolutely needed. Yes, I know it can be used to make Flint & steel and arrows, but arrows can be gathered from skeletons while flint and steel last for a good amount of time. A lot of people use Iron, Gold, or Diamonds as money, I think that isn't a good form of currency for the reason that those resources are useful for tools, armor, rails, etc. Why use useful materials when you have practically useless materials. To sum it up: Flint = easy to get and not very useful = good currency. Iron/Gold/Diamonds = Useful, less common = not-so-good-currency. [End random speech] - Angel of Death, High Councilor.
  10. As most of you may know, the Limited Edition content is not so limited anymore. Early access to the Specializations will be given to everyone who plays the game by November 20th. The FUD Extended Edition will be streamed over Halo Waypoint instead of being on the disk or being available for download (you will need a constant internet connection to watch it). The Map Pass that comes with the Limited Edition is cheaper, but the Standalone Map Pass will give you two Exclusive helmets. The other additional content, like the blueprints and papers, will be available for everyone to read online. At this point, it's not really worth paying 100$ for the Limited Edition. You will save a lot of money by downgrading to the Standard Edition for 60$ and then buy Standalone Map Pass for 25$, which actually gives you the same, if not more, content. I will downgrade my pre-order and get the Standard Edition instead. What about you? Source: https://forums.halow...ions-Early.aspx Edit: It has now been confirmed that you do get the two exclusive helmets included in the Map Pass regardless of which version of the game you buy.

  12. Hey 343 and 343 fans I couldn't find a support number or email so I'm posting this on the fourms. I'm going to purchase the limited edition because I am a hardcore halo fan and would love to play ALL the maps on the xbox in my basement using my gamertag. But my 9 year old little brother also wants to play all these maps on his gamertag, on a seperate xbox (in the same house). Will I be able to double install these maps on both xboxs? Or will it be linked to my gamer tag? Will he also have to purchase the $100 limited edition also because all I want to do is play with him online like I do in halo reach. I hope an 343 representative or someone experienced on the topic sees this soon. Respond soon please.
