  1. This video is not a leak and given the green light to post. This video is by BravoMLG. There aren't really an spoilers but if you want to save the game to it's fullest climax, I don't suggest watching just yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47lQ4WPCHcY&feature=g-all-u "The video and introduction to "Infinity" mode in Halo 4. There are no story spoilers in this video, but if you do not want to watch this until November 6th, click out now! Otherwise, thanks for watching and enjoy! Next video coming at pm EST time! This video has been approved by Microsoft PR."
  2. New details from 343i point towards a new Halo 4 theme coming out October 2nd for 240ms. Will you be getting it? I have a few leftover points so I'll get it. Details are below! Halo 4: Infinity Campaign Theme You will soon be able to customize your Xbox 360 Dashboard with the above Halo 4 Campaign-themed images, should you so desire. The Halo 4: Infinity Campaign theme will run you 240 Microsoft Points and is slated to release on October 2. There are more Halo 4 avatar goodies coming (perhaps even some Promethean ones…) so keep an eye on Halo Waypoint for details that will be coming in a semi-soonish manner. 3. So, here is my main issue with Halo 4. During many different game types (usually CTF) I can get betrayed on average about 3-5 times before I can get an option to boot someone. However, if I were to retaliate and betray those same people, I get Booted for one betrayal. So, why can these people sit here an intentionally betray me countless times before I get an option to boot, but if I were to betray them, I get booted on Betrayal? How is that fair? Also, has anyone else had this problem? >Pic unrelated, just a picture of one of my cats.
  4. I was browsing the submissions and I noticed that there was no Halo 4 submissions... Are you accepting them? I also want to know how to get a link to download maps for Halo 4, so I could start posting my own submissions.
  5. Hi everyone ! There is the project that I Forge since December, UNSC Infinity. UNSC Infinity GamerTag : SnR Zaelkyria Map : UNSC Infinity Project Description : A really large ship forged on Impact.. Not playable, it's just aesthetics. Forged with SnR Fal. Screen : Overviews : Side : View from above : View of front : View from behind : View from inside : Different parts of the ship : DownLoad link : [UNSC Infinity Project] Hope you enjoy !
  6. Gamer tag: lllll 117 lllll (l = L, 5 at each side) Map name: Starlight Map features: Starlight was built with the Impact space canvas, its a big map purpose-built for 4vs4 skirmish. Features 2 bases at each side and 1 neutral area in the center. Its a cool space facility with many open spaces for precision weaponry, high sniping spots and good for close combat too inside or near the bases. Each base has a ghost at the moment whose Im not sure about keeping because the open space is fit for a good driver to unleash. There are interesting areas all over the map, the map is very original so I hope you all like it and please leave feedback! Pics:
  7. 1. Gamer Tag: CrimsonVolver 2. Map name: Sanctorium 3. No special gametypes. I tried to make Griffball work like Assault, but it's fixed to only Griffball settings (see my sad face?) Map supports all gametypes but Dominion and Griffball 4. This map is good for 2v2, 3v3, or 2v2v2 multiteam (Red, Blue, Green), FFA and Fiesta. You could try flood or 4v4 on it, but I am not sure how that would go as it is a relatively small map. The map is a spiraling cave built inside the belly of the small island on Forge Island. There are three rooms, (Blue, Green, Red) with Green at the center/mid location; Blue/Red each have two ways to get in/out, and Green room has two main ways in/out, as well as two other means to get in or out. Because of the small size I was able to do some fun and interesting aesthetics to compliment the overall theme. I am providing 5 screenshots, and when my friend Liamevanspro gets the opportunity to make a video or either gameplay or a fly through I will post that to the thread, as well as screenshots from future gamplay.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Icq-USXYTo So talking about the UNSC Infinity in this video. We pretty much think its a terrible idea as it concentrates too many things into a single place which can be taken out by boarding/terrorist actions/things breaking. What do you guys think about the Infinity?
  9. Halo 4 was an amazing game, by far one of my favourite Halo's. But there are a few things i personally do not like, and i'm sure many others agree with me. (in no order) 1. ELITES - I was okay with elites not being in matchmaking, but i would have liked them do be in. It adds more customisability and to be able to go on and play as an alien race makes it just that much better. 2. SOUNDS - The sounds in halo 4 where brilliant. The guns where pounding every time you took a shot... but they weren't halo. They didn't sound like halo, the covenant guns didn't sound alien, the assault rifle didn't sound like an assault rifle, and the pistol was very weak sounding. They need to do what they did with Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. The weapons all sounded like halos, but had a punch to them. Each sound blew you away and yet were still recognisable as halos. And in every other Halo the shield recharge sounded great, it had a kick to it. In halo 4 its kind of weak, not very loud and had a whistle to it rather than this futuristic shield. They need to bring that pump back to in Halo 5. 3. SHIELDS - The shields in halo 4 depleted way too fast and recharged way too slow. I realise this was too speed up the gameplay and all but it doesn't feel like the halo shield i love from Halo 2 and Halo 3. And the over-shield in halo 4 is terrible, it depletes way to fast so by the time you found someone to kill you ran out of the over-shield. They must make it that powerful original shield again. 4. WATER - In halo 4 water kills you the second you touch it. In the other halos the water goes up to your neck before dying. I know its a bit picky but it just annoys me when in halo reach i forged flooded areas. 5. CAMPAIGN - I waited for years to play halo 4, it was worth it but i would have liked to campaign to have been longer and more dedicated. 6. MUSIC - I was disappointed not to hear the classic halo theme and a choir. It would just have made the mysterious settings much better. I loved their version of 'Never Forget' in Halo 4, it kept me watching the credits through to the ending. In halo 5 they need to bring back some more classic music. 7. QUICK TIME EVENTS - No... just no. They should have let us kill the Didact ourselves, like we did with every other boss. Sometimes it was okay but just left me wishing that i was actually controlling it. 8. GAMEPLAY - Its just small but id like the controls to be customisable. Such as being able to have sprint being selected as a default rather always being on. And have the other Halo controls as a setup. And some multiplayer playlists should be changed, like Flood. I loved infection in halo reach, but the flood having armour abilities ruins it. Its way to difficult to survive and makes you angry when there are seconds to go and you cheaply get killed by a flood using thruster pack. 9. THE FEEL - Last thing i think they could change is the feel. Things missing here and there that could be changed. Like i said before, the choir and layouts could be a little more recognisable. When i go into the menu the music is good but repetitive, i enter it hearing the same songs over and over and over again and its a strain on my ears. The Halo 3 music was soft and beautiful. And just small things like the colour and of buttons and the menu needs to be more classic. And thats pretty much it, i love everything else. The load-outs especially suit Halo very much. And i like how the armour abilities have been toned down from Halo reach. Just minor things but i think 343 industries could sort it out and make the next halo the best halo game ever made.

  11. Hey I had this idea about Halo's ranking system that made a lot of sense. And does a great deal of justice to the actual canon of Halo. I posted a thread on The Flood on bungie.net about it: Here's the link to the thread: http://www.bungie.ne...iewreplies=true But here is the premise of my argument: The ranks for the multiplayer system for Halo's mulitplayer should have been Naval since Halo 3. But they weren't, they were a mix of Army/Marine ranks with the only Navy rank being "Commander". However it seems as if the ranking system for multiplayer isn't even following the ranking system of Halo's UNSC canon in the first place. Spartans are technically Navy right? Created under the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), part of the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND. I am mean why else would Halo's main bad ass be called a "Master Chief?" Here's the ranks for the UNSC Navy: http://halo.wikia.co...Navy#Navy_Ranks Here's what proves the Spartans are part of the Navy under the Navy Special Warfare Command: http://halo.wikia.co...2FNavSpecWep.29 So if 343i decides my idea is valid, I think the option I mentioned in my flood thread should be considered. "Another option they should add is whether a player would want to stay enlisted or become an officer. And have pros & cons for both choices." "Maybe something like enlisted are better fighters, officers get better equipment, or probably have some aesthetic differences at the least. Besides what Halo fan wouldn't want to have their rank be Master Chief." Also as a disclaimer, I am an enlisted member of the United States Navy. And as a Sailor I would rather see my 7ft. tall juggernaut Spartan who is suppose to be Navy have the correct ranking system.

  13. My personal opinion on all of these new features for Halo 4. I'm actually excited for Halo 4, and do NOT think it will be like COD. I guess I'm part of the 1% who think that. lolololo Spartan Points I actually like this idea a lot. It sounds very similar to Halo: Reach's Credit system, and I really enjoyed being able to see myself gain money for getting kills and winning matches. The only thing Reach lacked, was a Ranking System. But it has already been stated that Halo 4 will indeed have a Ranking System, so I think this will work pretty well. Spartan Ops This Idea has me pumped! Its basically story-mode objective missions, that are updated every week. They are free, and will keep on coming for months after the game release. It seems like it will keep me, along with the rest of the Halo Community, playing Halo 4 for a while. Custom Loudouts Alright, so I am personally excited to see what exactly this is. The Custom Loudouts will consist of 4 things; Your Primary and Secondary gun, your grenade type, your armor ability, and your modifications. Also, the Jet Pack, Invisibility, and Hologram are coming back. Now ALOT of people are automatically saying that the game is ruined because of this, but I truly think their Idiots. We haven't even seen how these new features will play out, and their already judging the game itself? Like Come on, its not going to be like COD, 343i is smarter than that. You will most likely only be able to choose regular weapons like the AR, BR, and DMR as your starting guns. And the modifications will probably be things like "2% Jump Increase". So just calm down and wait to actually see the game in action. Why Reds fight Blues 343i said that multiplayer never had a purpose behind it "story-wise". Which makes perfect sense, because it doesn't. All you do in thee past games, is just kill Spartans for no reason. So to fix that, they have made it so you are a Spartan IV, and are playing virtually on the UNSC Infinity, for combat-testing purposes. The multiplayer actually being the virtual playtest.. With this new feature, I think the game will actually feel a lot cooler, and make more sense in itself. Sprint Sprint is now a default ability, and will always be there for your use. I've always wanted this, and felt like Halo: Reach kinda lacked playability, when they made it into an armor ability. Forerunner Vision So alot of people are jumping to conclusion about this "Forerunner Vision" thing, calling it COD-Like. Now Frank O' Connor has stated that this is more of a UAV type thing, and that you will not be able to see enemies across the map with it. Me personally, I think it is going to be like the night-vision option from Halo 3: ODST.

  15. Hi there, love playing Halo 4 custom or war games but too old to talk about Ben 10 or whatever crap is the in thing with 12yo's today? I have a few friends all over 25 who play for fun but like to win. We aren't big on talking but still want more players of a decent age who know when to run around lone wolf style and when to stand together and shoot the crap out of the enemy as a team. Ideally NZ or Au players due to time zones, and a sense of humour and good connection essential. Don't need to commit to certain times or anything as most of us can't either due to kids and jobs and life, etc. Gamertag is Lijii, send a request and mention this forum.
  16. I'm currently on holiday break and I've nothing to do. So I've decided to give a serious effort for the infinity challenge and I'm just really looking for anyone else with a similar interest. Thanks! GT- CptAwsmPants
  17. Larger maps have their place, don't get me wrong, but many of my fondest memories of the halo multiplayer experience occurred in maps that are 5 or 6 times smaller than some of the halo 4 maps. As halo has evolved so too has the size of the playable space in multiplayer increased. I understand that some of this is an intentional shift away from the more intimate 2v2 split screen experience to the more inclusive 8v8 online experience, and that this shift requires a larger playground - and as I said I'm certainly not knocking big maps. I love vehicular combat as much as the next guy. But I would love a map as small as Longest, or Prisoner or Chill Out and sadly these are seemingly going extinct. I made an account just to write this post, because it's important to me. So if it's important to you, leave a comment and let 343 hear you. Bring back those tight spaces we all loved so much.
  18. did you guys hear about this challenge? I dont know i think its a good initiative : ) Here is what i read. Full Story/Source: http://www.at7addak.com/en/Articles/226532/News/Xbox360/Halo-4-Infinity-Challenge 343 Industries have just announced the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge. An international free-to-join tournament that will take place during the Spartan Ops mid-season break. The tournament is broken up into two parts. A War Games based tournament and a Spartan Ops based tournament. The War Games tournament will basically be a global leaderboard that tracks the number of kills and points you earn. Whereas the Spartan Ops leaderboard will track the number of chapters you complete. This is yet another great way 343 Industries engages it's community. The participants have a chance to win from over 2,800 prizes including the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck as the 1st place prize in the War Games ladder and the winners of the Spartan Ops.... Enjoy : )
