  1. I'm in the market for new 3ds games, does anyone have any good suggestions/recommendations? Maybe a brief background of what the game is like? It would be very much appreciated! Games I currently have - Super Smash Brothers (3ds) - Pokémon Y - Pokémon X - Pokémon Omega Ruby - Pokémon Alpha Sapphire - Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - Fire Emblem Fates Pretty much I need suggestions for games not on that list, thanks!
  2. Hello my name is Jeremy and I am starting up a halo clan devoted to playing custom games and all things Halo. If you would like to join or just join a lobby just message me on Xbox live. My gamertag is kicbutix Also be sure to follow me on twitch at twitch.TV/halo_customs Thanks
  3. Alright everyone, this topic is easy and simple. If you do not have an Xbox One, I request you disregard this thread and do not vote. All votes are public, so we can see who voted. Now, that's that. What I'm asking of you, is to cast votes for the following games you have on Xbox One. It's Multiple Choice, if you have them all. That's great. I just need to keep records of who has what, and what games would be best for the future. Especially events. If you're anticipating on getting one of these games. I highly suggest you do not check that box, until you actually have it. That's just a suggestion I highly recommend, however. Go as you wish. Let's see what you all got. If I missed a game, please let me know. However, the game requires to have Online Multiplayer, capable of allowing you to play with friends. Thanks, Fishy
  4. So I wan't to make some video game walkthrough/gameplay videos to upload on YouTube, but I know you need some chord/wire line to record your Xbox or TV or something. Does anybody know what the chord/wire thing is and where I can get it?
  5. With E3 Microsoft press conference over it is now time to Recap all the things! We start off with Call of Duty: Advanced Warefare Call of Duty was first to appear at E3 showing an impressive trailer. Showing a set of playable segments showing the following: -Jet packs -Mechs -Matrix style drone swarms -Customisable grenades (EMP, Pulse and Seeking) -A laser type riot shield At least... That's all I noted. The graphics looked amazing but I hope the enemy isn't really that easy to fight. Next up we can already see someone die. Massive spoiler? Also we see how out main character loses his arm in a pretty nicely done cutscene in my opinion. Forza 5 and Horizon 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63JNz7UZYwU With the recent announcements of both games we now get to see what they were talking about. Forza 5 is getting a free DLC which features the Nürenburger track which is an actual existing racing track and put into the game with 100% accuracy. Then (rather quickly) we move on to Horizon 2. Horizon 2 is built off the Forza 5 engine. Which will give us 1080p grahics. They've also implemented a huge amount of sweet looking cars that we will be able to race around in an open world. Want to play with your friends or online? Almost no waiting time due to dedicated servers which will hook you up in not time at all. Next to all that you can create your own club (clan) which can feature up to 1000 members! The game is set to release at September 30th. Evolve Evolve is a class based game in which you have to take down large monsters, with guns and everything of course. Next to 4 player co-op mayhem one will also be able to play as the actual monster to ruin the day of your friends. Expect a lot of IRL hitting! Xbox One owners will get an exclusive beta acces. Get some! Assassins Creed Unity [PEGI 18] A new Assassins Creed title is already coming up! Set during the french revolution. What makes this one different is the fact that you can play the game in a 4-player co-op. We were shown just that on stage. 4 players sneaking around and taking down hostiles together to eventually assassinate the target by throwing him out of a window towards a crowd of blood thirsty people which proceeds to kill him in quite a gruesome manner. One thing I noticed was that the parkour looked a lot better. Smoother and quicker. Then again when the guy walked though a crowd I saw some bumps and it looked iffy. But still plenty of time to fix that right? Next up was a Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer The trailer looked nice but there was little info given. One thing we do know is that is will release on October 7th Sunset Overdrive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz6pvejrQmg Sunset Overdrive gave us a very fun trailer. The game will be set in Sunset city, which is now overrun by mutated humans. The mutation was caused by an energy drink that the mutants still crave next to your skin. Also breaking the fourth wall was quite prominent. The style of the game is very cartoony with 'boom' and 'splat' appearing in blood or explosions. It also features a lot of parkour and jumping around while shooting the absolute -Yoink!- out of everything in your path, mutants and hostile humans alike. I enjoyed the trailer very much Sunset Overdrive will feature a 8 player co-op mode on dedicated servers in which you'll cause absolute chaos! The release date is set on the 28th of October. Capcom 31st anniversary Capcom decided to give us a DLC for Dead Rising 3 with a title so long that I wasn't able to put it down on paper... Featuring all of the Capcom Characters in a arcade game. You can even play as tofu! What more do you want to hear from me?! TOFU!!! You can play together with 3 other friends as of now. Because the game has been released JUST NOW! Dance Central Spotlight Dance your heart out in the new Dance Central title. Although the guy who presented it didn't look like dancing to me... Dance to all the popular songs coming September. Digital release only. Fable Legends Fable Legends will send us back to the world of Albion and we'll get to see some old friends and corny jokes. The game will feature 4-player co-op and each player can invoke a different role which each different skills. There can also be a villain player that can ruin your day by placing traps and monsters around every corner. Griefers eat your heart out! Project Spark Project Spark has already had a beta in which we could get familiar with the game. This game allows you to do absolutely everything! Make you own game, create your own world, create anything you like from the ground up! Our little friend Conker also made a brief appearance... Interesting. Ori The game Ori was showcased in a very touching trailer. The style reminded me of Limbo, only this game is very colourful. Dem feels ;-; The Master Chief collection https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iGcS-0KpVw Holy -YOINK!- This is just about everything we had been hoping for. We started of with a trailer for the next Halo. We heard the Arbiter and saw the mysterious spartan which now has a name, Agent Clarke. Agent Clarke is in search of the Master Chief but the role of the Arbiter is still a bit shady. Is he searching too? But lets not forget everything leading up to Halo 5. That's why 343i is releasing the Master Chief collection. One disc that features all the previous Halo games with all the content unlocked and more. The Disc will contain: Halo CE: Anniversary With the original multiplayer instead of the Halo: Reach version Halo 2: Anniversary Which features a remade campaign, multiplayer and achievements Halo 3 Which features all DLC content. Maybe even Flaming helmet? Halo 4 Which features all DLC content. Maybe even all pre-order armours? A live action series called Halo: Nightfall A beta acces key for Halo 5 arena which will be available this ummer 4000 gamerscore. Happy hunting! All this can be accesed from just one single disc seamlessly and will release the 11th of November Inside https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTK1QtmHACg A trailer for Inside was shown. The game is set in a world in which everyone is controlled by automatons. You play as a boy who is still free. The game is similair to Limbo as it is created by the same developers. A whole load of games coming to the Xbox One is show... Too much to all write down... Sorry! Tomb Raider https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kLAyzmWnk4 A trailer for Tomb raider is shown. Of course you still play as Lara Croft. Not very much is shown next to that. The Witcher 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVlE8BXEbpE The developers of The Witcher 3 show us a bit of gameplay 10 hours into the game. They hunt down a monster in a very very large world. Because of this open world it is very likely that you side track slightly. By bandits for example. The game will also feature interactive dialogue. Killer instinct https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnhEeZY75C0 This game made a brief appearance in the pre-show. Not much else was done during the conference. Phantom Dust A trailer for Phantom Dust is shown. This will be a fighter game. The Division https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWJD8DMasCU Although this game has been delayed the developers showed a bit of gameplay. Starting off below ground they show us a holographic map which shows where you are between the buildings and streets around you and a holographic image of thing that happened in the past. Upon contact with enemies you AI friends will actually have a lot of actual dialogue. Reacting directly to things happening around you. Also I liked the style very much! Scalebound Scalebound showed us a trailer with a lot of monsters fighting and of course the character you play as gets involved to. Fighting with a headphone on blasting some fitting music. Not much else is shown. Crackdown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqWvvmgFDt4 Crackdown makes a return! Featuring better graphics, but keeping the old style. Play with a friend in a open world on dedicated servers. The trailer also showed a lot of destruction, will we be able to destroy buildings in this world? This conculdes everything shown at the conference. I will try to add the trailers and gameplay video as they appear to fill up the games that didn't have that much info. Speculate down below! Thank you for reading!
  6. It's coming up to Christmas very quickly and soon the big day will arrive, an idea that sprung into my mind was that I should make this thread intended for as a Christmas Wish list, just for fun . To make a list you must have up to 3 things minimum. For e.g. It should be laid out similar to this: My List 1. The Walking Dead Boxset Seasons 1-4 2.Devin Townsend's Infinity CD Album 3. Cash: The Autobiography (Johnny Cash Autobiography) So post in comments below your lists too. I'd love to see them!

  12. Reddit user CitadelSaint has set up a site called xboxie.com that has a collection of HTML5 internet games that we can play on our Xbox using our controller. After he learned that these types of games work on the Xbox Internet Explorer using the controller he searched for games and put together the site. "The name XBOXIE is (Xbox + IE) but pronounced “Xboxy”. As most of HTML 5 games are designed with Keyboard in mind it means there is very little with controller support. After googling for hours to find working games I decided to put together a site with every game I've test and I know that works." There are a total of 38 games on the site at the moment but there are more on the way say's the reddit user in his post "Over the next week I will be adding hundreds of games to the site (But I've been programming all today so I've decided to give myself a break)" He states he will be contacting indie dev's who make these types of games and ask to put in controller support so that they are playable on consoles. We can also submit games to the site, if anyone has discovered any other games that work on the Xbox's IE and that are playable with the controller we can submit games to the site by clicking the submit button at the top if the page and he will add them to the database. Check out the site xboxie.com
  13. Your list can contain games you bought day 1 , are going to buy day 1, or games that don't even exist and hopefully will some day. 14. The year 2013 was full of many great games and some disappointing moments as well. From the launch of new console such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to the release of critically acclaimed masterpieces such as Grand Theft Auto 5, Bioshock Infinite, and The Last of Us, 2013 will go down as one of the biggest in gaming history. The following year could also be a big year for gamers, and we bring you the top five games to look out for in 2014. 5. Watch Dogs- This game was supposed to come out in 2013, but Ubisoft delayed the game into 2014 due to quality concerns. Despite this setback, Ubisoft is very bullish on their new IP, and believes that the game, which allows users to hack into various security systems around a futuristic Chicago, could be a game of the year contender. Based on what the company has already revealed about the game, this could very well be the case. 4. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare- This may be a dark horse game for many, but the game, which will come out on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, may become the sleeper hit of 2014. Taking the Plants vs. Zombies formula and bringing real time multiplayer action into it should produce some of the wackiest yet chaotic matches gamers can expect in the New Year. 3. Untitled Halo Game- Microsoft revealed at E3 2013 that a new Halo game was coming, but did not clarify if the game would be Halo 5 or a spinoff title. Either way, the game should be one of the biggest in 2014, and now that 343 Industries has Halo 4 under their belt they should be able to deliver a true next-gen Halo experience that will continue the success of the franchise. 2. Super Smash Bros. 4- This could be the killer app that Nintendo has been waiting for on the Wii U and 3DS as well. While not much is known about the game, the very mention of a new Super Smash Bros. game is enough for fans to get hyped for the 2014 game, and with almost 20 characters already confirmed for the game fans are already drooling over the potential matchups. In addition, Nintendo gives players screenshots of the game almost daily, so up until the game's release date fans can keep getting updates on Super Smash Bros. 4. 1. Destiny- Ever since Bungie split from Microsoft and the Halo franchise, fans have been patiently waiting for their next project. Destiny seeks to not only be a great game, but also will try to reinvent the shooter genre. With RPG elements and a huge world for gamers to explore, plus the ability to casually stroll into another person's game and form groups on the fly, Destiny could be the game that people remember most in 2014. http://www.latinopost.com/articles/2387/20131223/top-5-anticipated-games-2014-ps4-xbox-one-wii-u.htm

  16. Nintendo Direct Packed in A Lot Of Brand New Games For The Year Of 2014 If you are a true fan of the Nintendo Franchise then you already know that 2014 is going to be filled with goodies. Nintendo Direct is an Online Presentation done by Nintendo describing what the upcoming year is going to look like for them. This year they had quite the full sack with lot of toys for all the good little girls and boys. Most of the conference held on Today, December 18th, 2013, had to do with the 3DS. They started the presentation off strong with a glimpse at "Hyrule Warriors", which, however, is not what you think. This is going to be an extention of the "Dynasty Warriors" game franchise not apart of the "Legend Of Zelda" franchise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEYeCFFbHOU There was then talk of the recently announced Kirby: Triple Deluxe and some new game modes that it will include. There will be a four playerfighter mode and a rhythm-based plat former starring King Dedede. Also, Nintendo announced the Yoshi's New Island. This game will be on the 3DS platform. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtJyud6dFNM That one will bring some classic feelings back to the Nintendo platform. Speaking of Classic feeling Nintendo is also planning to make a "reboot" of the old Donkey Kong Country games. The newest installment will be called Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DueE8vJXpo8 It will infuse that good old fashioned Donkey Kong feeling with all new ways to experience the fun. You will get the opportunity to play as multiple characters across your tropical journey's. Then lastly in the big announcements, they announced another track and some awesome footage of Mario Kart 8. This time we get some awesome footage from an airport themed map. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrKY8cJfXEw And with that we come to a close. Source IGN
  17. I had a great time playing Mirror's Edge, I love the parkour aspect of the game, and considering it's beautiful story the fan base should be good. Is anyone else excited about this new title?

  19. I've been wondering which game(s) to ask for this Christmas. I'm already getting Call of Duty: Ghosts, but I thought I'd ask everyone here. Any suggestions?

  21. This may just be a once off thing for me, since it's not exactly my type of thing to do reviews, but since I recently beat the game Pokemon Y and have had many other discussions with members on the forums, I thought I'd put a review on the game on 9 different criteria. Note this is all my experience with the franchise, so this may differ to anyone else who plays it, but should be similar with some who read. Note for spoilers, if you haven't played the game yet, and/or haven't completed up to the post-Champion stage, stop reading. This may contains spoilers that can be game changing. Story 5/5 One of the best stories out forward on the table, even if it isn't the best because Pokemon Diamond/Pearl took that spot, it certainly beats it in so many other areas. The TeamFlare business took a long time to pick up, I even thought it wouldn't be in the game since so much was focused on the Mega Evolutions, but it made its entry and stamped well. The morals and emotions created from this game were very different from the older games, something very new. Being able to create a thick emotion into each character is something I've only seen N from Pokemon White/2 and Black/2 accomplish at a moderate level, but this was taken to a whole new level. Each main character having their own moments expressing their feelings and thoughts to the player was something I wasn't expecting from a Pokemon game, but hope it returns in the future games if there may be any. The specific tasks that were on demand were an interesting addition and the ways of learning the game were done quite well. The scripted points of the game, such as meeting a Pidgey at the beginning immediately reminded me of Red/Blue/Yellow which was great since GameFreak went back that far. The Team Flare business and the story behind it all was very intriguing and fascinating to know the backstory behind everything and more. Even the end of the game showed more to me which shows the writers did a fantastic job. Region design 4/5 This region was unusual when I first observed it, I thought it was going to be a dramatic fail, how wrong I turned out to be. It was very original in design and works extremely well with the terrain features added. Every little detail was put in that someone would notice it and smile, even if it made no difference to the level. The Hometown is always one that must be done with absolute perfection, that gives the best first impression to the gamer, I was rather disappointed with Pokemon Diamond/Pearl's town, on the other hand Pokemon Heart/Gold and Soul/Silver were fantastic in how they introduced the player into a new location, and Y/X didn't fail. It was a simple and quick way of introducing the player into the world, and the town design was flawless. Seemed a little cramped, but after dancing around like one does when bored I found it much more enjoyable. The towns were carefully crafted to perfection, and the massive creation of Lumiose City was absolutely stunning, instantly became one of my favourite major locations of any Pokemon game. The variety in locations proved to be well done also, from a standard zubat cave to a spooky swamp, or from a windy desert to a hidden forest, it all seemed to fit in well and nothing seemed out of place on the map. New Pokemon/Evolutions 4/5 The 70 new Pokemon were well done, they weren't fantastic, but it wasn't anything like Pokemon White/Black's monstrosities. These had a lot of thought put into them, especially the Mega Evolutions, some seemed silly which is why it's 4/5, but regardless, it was a solid performance. Over the games, especially White/Black, good Pokemon designs have been hard to design, originality being a problem. With this, it was great, with the less amount of Pokemon to create, lack of originality wasn't a problem. Even with the standard caterpillar to butterfly or tiny bird to big bird, it was done well. Some were pretty dull like a few Fairy type creatures, but seeing as it is a new type, I forgave that. Some were pretty awesome too, like the Chestnaught, the final form of the grass starter, Chespin. The lack of new Legendaries I thought was a good idea, with only 3 new ones in the game, it was much easier to create a decent few that were vastly different from previous games. A Fairy deer, a giant Dark bird and a Ground alien beast all seemed to fit in well with the story. With the addition of the bird trio from Gen I and Mewtwo with his MegaEvolutions, it was good that they didn't go over the top like in Gen IV and V. Initiatives 5/5 This game defined initiative for the Pokemon franchise, Mega Evolutions for a start is such a massive part of this game and they work so well, having to pick the one Pokemon who gets the power boost each match can be tough even. The Roller Skates also were such a clever design, I prefer them over running shoes AND the bike. Finally a major game changer was the character customisation, it was good that you couldn't radically change your character, but small hair details or eye changes with the ability to change your clothes was such a great idea. Mega Evolution was a brilliant inclusion, even though it is limited for a selected bunch of Pokemon in a variety of types, it's still quite useful. I found it most effective with Lucario and Aura Sphere seeing as I annihilated every Pokemon I used it against in the Elite 4/Champion. Though some designs look ridiculous like Mewtwo, others look amazing like Charizard. The Roller Skates were a lovely little inclusion, the attention to detail was amazing also. Being able to slightly touch the circle pad and make a slow movement that changes animation from the full speed and normal speed was an awesome feature. Music/Sounds 5/5 Just about perfect, that's all that needs to be said. The music has so much emotion in this, the excitement of a rival battle to the challenge of Team Flare, the happiness from Serena/Calem's theme to the terror of the champions theme were all great, nothing was bad. The Pokemon cries were so much better, even Pikachu I loved with his traditional anime cry, too bad this couldn't be carried over to every Pokemon. But one is still more than none which every other game had. The difference sort of styles that the music had was incredible. From a fun rival theme to a hard Team Flare boss theme always proves to be energising. The Legendary music for Yveltal (Pokemon Y mascot) wasn't that memorable, however was fitting for the moment. The end game music also had a fitting aspect for the 3000yo King who just reunited with his long lost loved Pokemon. My favourite theme I found was the Serena/Calem's theme, which played a couple of times in the game, been listening to it when I've been writing this actually. The Pokemon battle cries and fainting cries were very impressive I thought, more realism was focused in this game, well as much realism as one can make for a fantasy world. The quality of the voices is swell, and utilised the engine of the 3DS quite well. Graphical layout 5/5 Absolutely stunning, the beautiful battle animations were perfect and even the small details like blinking made this game so special. GameFreak clearly put everything they had into this game, and their artists do need more credit, it was fantastic what they achieved here. The battle animations with full 3D models of each Pokemon suits this game like I didn't believe, the rapid movements of each character Pokemon and Human alike makes it a much better experience than previous games, small details in everything is a comment theme of this game, down to the tiniest movement. The attacks are very vibrant in both colours and animation, making for very interesting games. Along with that, the environment also has obviously had massive treatment to it, each location having small things to it added to make it unique from previous generation game locations such as a bug forest which makes an appearance each game. Characters 5/5 Perfect, the characters were nothing less. The 4 companions you have with the one main rival were created so well, the two guys weren't exactly non forgettable, but offered humour from their remarks. While the two girls (or one girl and boy if you chose female character) were quite detailed and expressed well, the emotion shown from them was clear as daylight. Az was an unusual character expressed well at the end and Team Flare's boss was a great character, even the professor was good. Starting with the 4 young teens who start with you in the group of 5. Trevor and Tierno weren't that interesting I found, I kinda hated Trevor a bit, until the end, as for Tierno, I had no idea what he was smoking. Selena and Shauna were my two favourite characters out of the whole game, they made the group of 5 kids a diverse ones. One being a strong willed rival who was very determined and the other being scared way too easily but offered an emotional characteristic which was a pleasant change. Az, the mysterious giant who turned out to be an ancient king at the end, and ancestor to the Team Flare's leader was a heartless sod when going through the game, I thought that they could've made this character a lot better, boy did they prove me wrong. Although he had little screen time, he was proven to have changed his way of a cruel king to someone who deeply cared for others. I was also surprised at the amount of action Professor Sycamore had in the game, though it barely changed him as a character, it was good seeing such an important non-playable character share time in the game with you. Post game 4/5 The post game was rather good, new areas unlocked, a few decent legendary Pokemon and a whole new little city. Though it may not seem much, it never really is. However, as always with the NationalDex being unlocked, the task of catching them all really starts again. I can't get much into detail with this, as I've just been slightly introduced into this part of the game, and with the possibility of DLC being added later in the game, ie. extra legendary pokemon, it's unclear what I'm yet to uncover. However from what I've found, it's a decent expansion on the game, which I greatly enjoy. User interface 4/5 Almost everything was well done, the one major let down for this new user face was the bag system, it was too clogged up and messy and takes a long time to find something as simple as a repel. Apart from that, menus are easily accessible and it doesn't take long to do tasks you wish to do. Conclusion Finishing, this game exceeded my expectations by a long shot, in didn't think this would do better than Gen V, but it smashed that. And rivals my favourite generation being Gen IV, it just depends what secrets I uncover in the months to follow that I play this game. I strongly recommend this to any gamer with a 2/3DS, preferably the 3DS as it makes the best of what this game offers. Pokemon fan or just wanting a fun time, this game definitely offers a lot. Final total score of the game. 41/45 - A+
  22. Beat Hazard Platform: Xbox 360, The Director's Rating: 9/10 This game let's you play asteroids. On your X-Box. To your own music that's on your X-Box harddrive. That in and of itself is pretty awesome, but get this. The music powers your weapon! That's right! Your weapon is powered by how loud and wild your music is! But wait, that's not all! This game also has an amazing visualization effect on the background. If you've ever imagined playing a retro game with a new spin on it while you were simultaneously watching a music visualization effect (trippy stuff), then this is definitely the game for you. Combat: The only combat in this game is firing at asteroids and spaceships. It's exactly like the arcade game Asteroids. You spin and shoot. You also have power ups that you can collect by defeating enemies that do various things such as power up your weapon. Not only that, but it's two player co-op splitscreen, which is epic. Your weapons and damage are based on the pickups you've collected and the music that's playing. If you decide to listen to a slow-dance song and play this game, you're gonna have a hard time. Rounds: Each round is exactly one song long. How long is that? Depends on the song YOU pick. If it will fit on your harddrive, then you can play it. Each round gets increasingly difficult, and the enemies are for the most parts random. There are asteroids, enemy ships of varying degree of difficulty to kill, and even bosses here and there. Splitscreen puts more enemies per round. Synopsis: This game is a brilliant indie game that's available on XBL Arcade. It plays any music that you have on your harddrive and will have a different visualization every time you play a song. Sometimes the visualizations are distracting while you are trying to get a higher score, but this game is mainly for fun rather than competition. There is a "brag to a friend" option, if you ARE competitive. The Director's Recommendation: I recommend playing it when you get tired of other games. It allows you to take a much needed break from normal games while still keeping you entertained. It's available on XBL Arcade under indie games. My final recommendation is to get some dubstep/techno/electronica onto your HDD and prepare to have your mind blown. If you are photosensitive, then that's literal. If you have a recommendation for a game that I should review, then let me know in the comments (I follow all of my threads ;D). Remember though, if it's a hyped up game then I won't do it. "Lesser Known" is in the title after all. Hope you enjoy your time in the world of games. Wanna see the others? 23. I just wanted to ask, what's the bright idea behind smashing the playlists together? Was it really so difficult to keep up on a separate big team playlists? I'm just curious as to the new updates on the Halo 4 frontier as this is a very disappointing game on the multiplayer flip side. I'm not here to start a fight as I am generally curious as to what the meaning is behind this. I understand games have to evolve to keep up with the current gaming demands but we all loved being able to chose between Big Team Slayer and Big Team Objective! I understand that people want to have more variety in their gaming experience but this is why there was a general assortment of playlists, as different as they were. Are you truly making a large portion of us chose between Halo 3, Reach before 4 even comes into play? I call shenanigans! And now with the new DLC, don't get me started on that... Season pass my a$$. Pardon my language Yours faithfully Halo, XxxHarley
  24. Recent reports from Microsoft confirmed that every Xbox one can be used for self sublishing and it will be coming within the first year of launch. Marc Whitten spoke with polygon about these plans. Full polygon article here "Our vision is that every person can be a creator" "That every Xbox One can be used for development. That every game and experience can take advantage of all of the features of Xbox One and Xbox LIVE. This means self-publishing. This means Kinect, the cloud, achievements. This means great discoverability on Xbox LIVE. We'll have more details on the program and the timeline at Gamescom in August." More from the polygon report. "Whitten said that Microsoft has a "roadmap," but the indie development support on the console will roll out in phases that will likely include a beta, and publicly discussing policies. When pressed on when full support for indie development on the console would be available, Whitten repleied, "Think about it in that first year." "Microsoft's new plan for self-publishing, which adopts an approach more like Apple and Google's through the iTunes and Google Play app stores, brings the Xbox One's narrative more closely in line with Sony's. Microsoft and Sony are not yet on equal footing, especially from a perception standpoint, but today's announcement shows the Xbox One catching up, further willing to bend on previously defined (or ill-defined, as the case may be) policies. That's good news, both for developers and future owners of each console." "With the Xbox One sharing the Windows environment alongside the now-titled "Xbox" operating system, with a hypervisor managing both operating systems, one possible way of allowing self-publishing on the Xbox One would be to allow it to run "Windows Store apps."
