  1. The Witcher III 'Please Wait' Glitch So those of you who've played The Witcher 3 on Xbox One have probably noticed a rather inconvenient glitch by now. The glitch itself happens when you go to boot up the game and the main menu says 'please wait' endlessly. If you've googled a fix, you'll probably know by now that to resolve the issue you're going to have to uninstall and reinstall the game, and maybe even clear the cache of your Xbone. I've actually found another fix that might work and is less time consuming, so feel free to try it first. So let's go over these two fixes really quick. First Fix: 1. Press center button, menu button, quit 2. Go into Settings, Power & Startup, and change Power mode to Energy Saving (this will make it to where your game isn't always running) 3. Hold your Xbone's power button until it turns completely off 4. Unplug your Xbone for AT LEAST 30 seconds. Feel free to keep it unplugged longer than that. 5. Plug Xbone back in, turn it on, and attempt to play The Witcher III. If you get stuck at 'Please Wait...' again, go to the next fix. Second Fix: 1. Go to your dashboard and press the menu (formerly known as 'start) button and select 'Quit' 2. After the game has exited, press the button again and select 'Manage game' 3. Choose to uninstall the game 4. Once uninstalled, simply reinstall it If you still encounter the glitch repeat steps 1-3 and then do this: 1. Press and hold the power button until it powers down completely. It will make a noise telling you that it has. 2. Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console. 3. Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console. 4. Plug the power cable back into the console. 5. Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange. 6. Turn on the console using the power button. 7. Reinstall The Witcher III That will allow you to continue playing The Witcher 3, but it doesn't prevent the glitch from happening again. So let's talk prevention. When you are finished playing for the night (or whatever), do NOT turn the console off immediately. 1. Press the 'View' button 2. manually save by selecting 'Save Game' 3. Once it's finished saving, select 'Quite to Main Menu' 4. Once the game has got back to the main menu, go to your dashboard and press the 'Menu' button. 5. Select 'Quit' and allow the game to finish quitting. EDIT: Turns out this doesn't prevent it from happening every time, but limits how often it happens. If it keeps happening for you as well make sure your console is in 'Energy Saving' mode and then follow the first fix.
  2. CD Projekt Red's new open world sequel, the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has been delayed for another year to get the game up and ready for launch in peak condition. The popular RPG Open World series, the Witcher, was announced to be getting it's final chapter sometime in 2014. Today, news broke first on TheWitcher.com, the official site as the developers have announced the game is being pushed back, similar to Watch_Dogs' delay back in October of 2013. The developers made an open letter, not apologizing, but praising the game's now higher potential with the delay, and explaining the delay itself. View attachment: witcher04.jpg Exactly what they said in the open letter was, "We recently reexamined what we had achieved thus far, and faced a choice about the game’s final release date. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015." Seeing as the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now been, regrettably, delayed by another solid year, has this impacted your decision to pre-order now that more time will be going into the title?
  3. Hello everyone, boys, girls, people of indiscernible gender, striped horses that beckon, and warm slices of wheat. Welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up for the 23rd of August, 2014! I have your usual three awesome articles but as usual I'm gonna do some shameless advertising. Do attend my upcoming GTA V event and my bud Self Destruct's event coming up, they're both gonna be sick! And a shoutout to my buddy Bnus who left the Communications team, and a warm welcome to Ignited Bullet who joined the team. Now, unto the Wrap-Up! View attachment: WNW 82314.JPG The Witcher 3 Not 1080p/60 FPS, Likely Won't Be At Launch With the dawn of new consoles, there is always a game at their launches that raise the bar and show off the true graphical potential and prowess of the system, but it looks like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, won't be that game this generation. According to WorldsFactory.net, who interviewed CD Projekt Red, the developers, the game isn't running at full 1080p/60 FPS yet, and likely won't by launch. When speaking to a visual effects artist, he said, "If we can make it at 1080P, sure, but I don’t know if it’s going to make it. To be honest, I really don’t know. Probably not. But for sure, we need it to run at a smooth frame rate, so at least 30 FPS." The artist then proceeded to press blame on the demanding physics engine in-game. He also shared the progress of the game on the PS4 and Xbox One, saying how at first they feared the game was so demanding that the consoles couldn't run it and it would be a PC exclusive, but they worked out the kinks and they are making progress to getting it working. It isn't quite there yet however, so don't count on an early release in any stretch. View attachment: witcher.jpg Does this news disappoint you, has it swayed your excitement for the Witcher 3? The Walking Dead Season 2 Finale Release Date Revealed There's no going back now, with the end of The Wolf Among Us leaving us with more questions then answers, don't expect an easy time playing The Walking Dead Season 2 waiting for the next season of The Wolf Among Us, as TWD is coming to an end. Telltale announced on their Twitter.com account that the season finale, titled "No Going Back", will be releasing on PlayStation NA, PC, and Mac on August 26th, Xbox 360 and PlayStation EU on the 27th, and iOS on the 28th. There is a trailer out, however it contains spoilers so I won't link it in case you (like myself) haven't played Season 2 yet. It will be available for $5, or you can buy the Season Pass with all five episodes for $25. View attachment: Bvh7G5CCMAA6CbY.jpg Are you excited for TWD Season 2's finale, do you think it will bring you to tears like Season 1's? Let me know in the thread below! Phillip Fish Selling 'Fez' License and 'Polytron' Company; Leaving Gaming You have probably heard his infamous name, Phil Fish, some have called him a genius for his work on Fez, but now he battles an onslaught of curses and profanities aimed at him and his overreactive personality. The man has gone as far to say his fans don't deserve a sequel to the original Fez, and has had other unpopular opinions like how developers should be paid royalties for reviews and gameplay and the defense of a female gaming figure who allegedly had sexual relations with figures in the gaming industry to work her way up. Too many to name here, but the surprising news GameSpot.com has reported is that after a devastating attack left Phil's personal info including bank account passwords, addresses, and private documents out in the open, Phil is selling the license to his game, Fez, and his company Polytron. Phil made a statement offering his 'helpful' advice to developers, saying, "No reasonable offer will be turned down. I am done. I want out. RUN AWAY. Just don't do it. Give up your dreams. They are actually nightmares. Nothing is worth this. To every aspiring game developer out there: Don't. give up. It's not worth it. This is your audience. This is videogames." As sad as it is, under Fish's ownership Fez II would never have been made, maybe now we can see a sequel to the fun little indie. View attachment: 2268085-fez3.jpeg I say 'fun little indie' but I've never actually played it BECAUSE of Phil himself and the way he treats fans, but I have heard it is good. Have you ever played Fez? Tell me how it is below! Thanks for reading guys, and be sure to check out the above playdates and congratulation Bullet! I'll see you all next time, have a good week guys and gals.

  5. Hello everyone and welcome to the latest issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! Before we begin I'd like to send my own dedication to War Veterans everywhere who served on D-Day 70 years ago yesterday, as well as anywhere at any time. Putting your life on the line for your home must be a very difficult thing to do, and I salute you for sprinting into the raging fire with the knowledge you may not come out. I'd also like to send my regards to the Kennedy family, on the anniversary of RFK's death yesterday, and his assassination the day before. But enough with depressing news in the real world, let's start off with some depressing news in the fictional world! View attachment: WNW 60714.JPG Martin O'Donnell Sues Bungie for Unpaid Wages In a shocking display, Bungie's ex-composer Martin O'Donnell is suing his former company and especially it's chief executive Harold Ryan, on account of unpaid debts on Bungie's part owed to Martin. If we all remember his firing accordingly, on April 11th we received a tweet on Marty's account saying he had been fired without cause, and VentureBeat.com was the first to spot his gross attack at Bungie. This does not seem to be a major assault at all employees however, as the attack was aimed at Harold Ryan, mentioned before. The file specifically said, "Ryan has willfully and intentionally caused Bungie to deprive O’Donnell of accrued but unused vacation time, paid time off, sabbatical time, and other benefits." The case is ongoing, and Bungie has no plans of giving in to the lawsuits apparently. View attachment: Marty-o-Donnell.jpg Do you side with Bungie, or do you side with Martin in this ongoing battle likely soon to escalate to a war? Debate below! Forza Horizon 2 Gets Pre-E3 Teaser Forza Horizon 2, one of the most anticipated racing games that was leaked some time ago, was recently officially announced by IGN, also announced to be 1080p and 30fps, lower then that of Forza Motorsport 5, but being open-world causing restraints. Xbox's official channel showed off the first real-live glimpses of footage from Horizon recently, in a small teaser. The teaser shows of the European country-side and some decals on a yellow Lamborghini Huracan. Aside from that, we get a logo, and another tease to tune in at Microsoft's E3 presentation. It will in-fact be available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, with two different developers doing the two different versions akin to Titanfall. View attachment: FH2.JPG Are you pumped for E3 because of the Forza Horizon 2 teaser, or are there other titles that more concern your interests? Let me know below, be sure to discuss!
