  1. Hey everyone! I am sure you have seen me floating around here and there, so I just wanted to give you a bit of an update on whats going on with my life. So since August I have moved across the United States, from Orlando, Florida to Portland, Oregon. I drove a 15 foot UHaul truck and car trailer across country over a 5 day span. I have been living in an old farmhouse with a crap ton of problems, ranging from frozen water pipes, a water pump with an electrical issue, a slightly clogged chimney (the whole house is heated from a wood stove) and a clogged sink/laundry drain. It has been one heck of an adventure since mid December up until now. I got a job at a local grocery store called Safeway, left that job for a position at another grocery store (wont state the name as it might ping them here), and now am about to step into the biggest adventure of my life. About a month and a half ago, I spoke to an Air Force recruiter about what it would take for me to join the military. She and I spoke for a while and after discussing things with my wife, we were in agreement that it would be a good thing for me to join the military. So I took the first step, I filled out the paperwork, I took the ASVAB, I did everything I was suppose to. The one thing holding me back was my weight. Last August I weighed 248lbs, I wasn't healthy... while I was able to get most of that weight off, I knew it would be tough for me to meet the weight requirement in case the medical examination measured my height shorter than I am. I am 5'9.5" and I knew if they rounded up I would be fine with my current weight, however if they rounded down, then I would have missed the mark. I worked my... tail off and went into the medical examination thinking my weight wasn't going to pass. I went through all the tests, I passed them all except for one. My heart rate. I was nervous the entire time, to the point where I couldn't get my heart rate down enough for them to take my blood pressure properly. The only thing I need to do now is to get my blood pressure taken a few times by a local Dr, and once it passes I will be able to submit the documents and swear in to the Air Force's Delayed Entry Program (DEP). Once I swear into the DEP, I will wait for my job and BMT ship out date. Oh, and as far as my weight - I now weigh 186lbs, which is the max someone at 5'9" can weigh to qualify for the Air Force. So in under 6 months I've lost 62lbs, gotten married, and (nearly) enlisted with the U.S. Air Force. Within the next week or so I'll post an update here with the results. That is basically what has been going on with me. I've been pretty busy lately. Love you guys! -John P.S. Here is the before and after pictures.
  2. Hey guys, I just want to get a general consensus for these questions. Please vote above and post what you chose! (MCC = Master Chief Collection) Have you Pre-ordered Halo: MCC? Are you going to buy the Halo: MCC?

  4. Nintendo's classic and original Handheld has turned 25 years old today. This may be strange for those who remember it's first release... (You are not that old) but for many fans of this classic hand held device, it brings a great dose of nostalgia. "Happy birthday, Game Boy! Nintendo’s famous portable is 25 years old today. The handheld would see numerous successors, peripherals, and notable games during its 15 years of dominance before the Nintendo DS would take over as the new brand for the Japanese gaming giant’s portable endeavors." Said Mike Minotti of VentureBeat.com. You can clearly see how much Nintendo's handheld line has grown, ranging from the Game Boy, to Nintendo DS, and eventually the Nintendo 3DS and beyond. However, could Nintendo be missing out on a great opportunity? With the recent shortcomings from Nintendo's Wii U sales figures, Nintendo could use a bit of a boost in the Gaming industry. So, would a re-launch of a slightly updated version of the Game Boy give Nintendo that jump? It could draw in fans of the now 25 year old system into buying it, as well as bringing in a new generation of Game Boy fans. With the Game Boy, there could also be re-releases of the classic and popular games that everyone came to know and love. So, could a re-release benefit Nintendo at all? What would you think if they chose to take this path? Would you be interested in a re-release of Game Boy (updated, of course)? 6. Do you like having fun? Do you like Halo? Do you like being able to log onto a Forum and see beautifully detailed, well thought, tidy discussions? Guess what, we do to. You see, Total Mayh3m and myself love these things mentioned above. We strive to keep the Forum a happy fun place, that is why we have decided to start a dual USF campaign so that we can help even more. Mayh3m and myself would like to ensure nothing but the best for our Forum, right up to the leaders themselves. But you may be asking yourself, "Why would I vote for these guys? What makes them so different from the rest of the competition?" And you are completely entitled to ask a question like that and I'd be more than happy to give you an answer. Total Mayh3m joined this site back in October of 2011 and within 4 months he had obtained an award known as "Forum Defender." Later he received an award called "The Dog." These awards are reserved for only the most dedicated of members. Total Mayh3m worked hard to become one of the greatest members this site has ever known eventually even reaching the ranks of Community Moderator. And now recently Total Mayh3m has secured his position in this site's memory never to be forgotten. Total Mayh3m is a Legend of the Forum. A well deserved title for him, and I'm sure you'd agree. Credit to SelfDestruct Now I don't have nearly the resume of TM3. I've only been on this site for about 10 and a half months, but I've received my more than generous share of awards, -----some include------- the likes of "Member of the Month" ---- for my dedication to the forum-----and one I hold dearly "The Dog." Now this is all in the past, and I know we can't become President if we're living in the past, but we're not done. Total Mayh3m and I still have so much more to give to this site. We will continue to work profusely to keep this site tidy and clean, and work even harder to make it as Great as Halo itself. Thank you for taking time to read this, I hope if I have not persuaded you to vote for us, that I have inspired you to do something great yourself. VOTE TM3+BZ1 USF PRESIDENT 2013
