  1. Been waiting for a Shotgun to place it's face on the Destiny Forefront Bungie has been releasing a new weapon every week on their drawing board, this week that weapon is called the Silver Dollar Shotgun. Heres what More Console has to say about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP2XTytypZs&feature=c4-overview&list=UUTTx-gTU-ePcxHLpF15l8hA "A Shotgun is more than a Weapon. It's an icon. In a place made strange by the passage of time, the Silver Dollar is as relatable as a lucky coin." You will be able to customize this gun just like all of the guns in Destiny. I really like close quarters combat so I think this weapon will fit in great with the rest of my awesome Destiny weapons. Learn More over at Bungie This post has been promoted to an article

  3. Jousting by Rabid MidgetMan Map link Gametype link player count: 4, 8, 12, 16 Introduction "What's that you say Rabid? A jousting map without any swords?! Have you gone absolutely mad?!" No good sir, you see they don't use swords in real life jousting either, do they? They use a thing called a lance (aka big stick), hence the name 'Sir Lancelot'. I happen to know Sir Lancelot and he approves of my jousting map. Why listen to him? Because he's good at jousting. How do I know? because if he wasn't he wouldn't 'Lance a lot'. Why? because being bad at jousting hurts. A LOT. Overview In this jousting map, you will find a much more realistic experience, wielding a shotgun rather than a sword gives a more natural range for the 'lance' . There are two teams, many mongooses and a long, straight track. The track is split by a divide (fence) down the middle, red team drives north and on the right whilst the blue team drives south on the left . As the 'horsemen' pass each other, the rider must take a shot at the opposing mongoose across the barrier. A teleporter at the end of the track leads back to the start, ensuring a smooth transition from one 'pass' to the next. A map wide teleporter stops players leaving the spawn area on foot or dismounting while in play. Gameplay The gametype is unlimited lives slayer with increased damage and other small differences. This is a very fun map to play with 3 of your friends (or rivals), but it also works well with 8,12, or 16 players. Plug in your mic and discuss attack plans with your team, just don't forget to cheer when you successfully strike down a challenger Rider: The pump action of your shotgun makes it critical that you time your shot correctly as a miss will leave you vulnerable to attack. It creates a similar feel to grifball, where you must make a compromise between hitting your opponent as soon as they enter your lethal range, but leaving it late enough that you don't waste your shot with a glancing blow. As such, this game takes a lot of precision, skill and practice to master. Driver: The map flows very well if you simply drive forward and stick close to the divide, shooting enemies as they pass. This playstyle is fairly easy, the only challenge being getting as close to the barrier without touching it (grazing the wall causes you to bounce away from it). But you are free to be creative, try different maneuvers like: swooping towards the barrier as an opponent passes, stopping, reversing, changing speeds, accelerating backwards, reversing forwards... Maybe even some dressage?! As the horse you are also responsible for staying as close to or far from friendly horsemen as you see fit. Summary 1) Being bad at jousting hurts-elot 2) Being good at jousting can get you a knighthood 3) Mechanical horses are much softer on the crotch 4) Please download the map + gametype and enjoy playing it!
  4. Gamertag: Murphinator3000 Map: Cliff Diver Gametype: Tower of Power Description: A revamp of tower of power from halo 2. This map is for 8 - 16 players. Teams must fight to gain control of the tower to control the game. Shotguns only and turret. IMAGE URL: http://www.halowaypo...le&startIndex=0 (It wouldn't let me upload a picture)
  5. Fileshare (user SkreeMalicious), listed as "Harvest CQB" REQUIRES: Crimson DLC Map Pack Ideal for 4v4, but should support Doubles, even 8v8 if you want a ridiculous bloodbath Blocked off most of "Harvest" map, retaining the core area only. NO VEHICLES. Good amount of cover added. VERY SMALL, Symmetrical. Great variety of natural rock ramps, cover, rolling hills and structures. Built to be fast and furious. Blockers setup to prevent people from getting out of the central area. Softkill and Kill volumes also behind that stuff, prevent exploiters. Supports: Team Slayer Team SWAT CTF KOTH Oddball Initial Weapon spawns: Shotguns X2 (one on each side near the airlifts) SAW x2 (one on each side at the neck of the "Y" corridors) Rockets (center, top) Sorry for the quality, here are some screenshots. The soft-ceiling on Harvest prevents me from getting a good aerial view, so I made the topdown map instead, sorry!
  6. Hi, I have watched a ton of videos on youtube and MLG and I cannot stress the importance of the sounds of the guns. It gives the game a more realistic approach to an already arcade-esque game. It gives the feel and gameplay more power if the guns actually sound destructive. Having said this there are a number of guns that just have a high powered staple gun sound to them. These include the battle rifle first and foremost. For some odd reason I get a plastic sound behind the gun. It could be just me, but it is possible to give a stronger bass to that gun being as it is a rifle. The second is the pistol. In Halo 1 and Halo 3 I thought they had the best sounds for the pistol. It felt like that single shot meant it hurt. The third is the shotgun. I am sorry but the shotgun really sounds like pebbles are thrown at a wall. I have talked to a number of people and they all agree that the guns just don't feel like they have an impact as they did to their counterparts. Please 343 Look and read this post. And if you are one of many that feel the same way please post your reactions as well. Thanks!!!!
  7. I recently decided to play Halo Reach Infected. I was expecting to have a really good time on maps like caged, swordbase, and others, but no I guess its been a while since i played but infected is not fun anymore! I hate the new maps with blocked off areas like uncaged. I miss the old cage where we could stand on top of the base and get multikills. Ghost zombies is also not fun at all. You move to slowly and it's to hard to kill the enemies. Some told me that infected was changed because the "humans" had a bigger "advantage". Ok cage did give them one but it was a lot of fun for most people. There are also some of the new maps that give the humans more advantage and ghost zombies also gives them an advantage. Please 343 bring back the old infected maps and get rid of the new ones and Ghost Zombies
  8. I'm not sure what you guys (and girls) might think about this but I believe they should actually use the flood to play in the infection gametype. Not computers playing against players of course but actual players playing as the flood. Also in fire fight they should use the flood to play against you. But I believe the infection idea is actually a very good one. If you beleive so to then just try your best to get the word out about it in the forums and online. We could help shape halo 4's future gameplay XD
