  1. Quite recently I became obsessed in playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game. While I love the Video Game, the card game is a different and exciting part of the Pokemon Gaming Universe. So if you have played Pokemon TCG before, you are familiar with players taking turns attacks, putting Pokemon onto their bench and much more. My I wanted to share a creation my friend created, with some input for rules from myself. We call it Real Time Strategy Pokemon. How it works is that a turn is every 1 minute and that both players may do as they please, with some exceptions during each minute. I have a video below showing one of the first RTS games with Ian and Jeremy facing off. I am recording the video. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ar1R-T2FpSw
  2. Today marks the release date for the Remake of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire! Both 3rd Generation games taking place int he Hoenn region, and contain some very famous legendary pokemon, Latios and Latias. The game comes out today in stores all across the US and the world as well! This is a game I played when I was a child, and now I get to play it all over again. How do you feel about Nintendo making a remake of such a classic game? Below is a HD, 8 bit like, photo from the opening of the gameboy games, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.
  3. After a ton of leaks surfaced online yesterday, the devs took things into their own hands and decided to officially announce the next title in the Battlefield franchise - Battlefield Hardline. According to the announcement posted on the Battlefield Blog, the game is being developed by Visceral Games, not DICE. In addition to that, the game, which is said to be the first title in "a brand new series in the Battlefield franchise," will focus on the war on crime (cops vs. robbers). Visceral Games general manager Steve Papoutsis had the following to say about how Hardlines came to fruition: "Several years ago, I was at an internal EA meeting in Barcelona with creative leaders from across the company. It was here I met Karl Magnus Troedsson, the GM of DICE, for the first time, and we immediately began talking about games. I’ve always loved Battlefield and KM was a huge fan of Dead Space, so we started talking about different ways we could work together, different ways we could take Battlefield and action games in a new direction. And from that point, the project that would become Battlefield Hardline was born." He went on to state that more will be revealed at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (obviously), during which gamers will be told more about "the ways we are adding new twists and turns to the foundation of Battlefield multiplayer, more about how we’re bringing our strengths at Visceral to single player." On another note, a lot of leaks on the contents of the game have already begun to surface. One of the many videos ib the leaked weapons, gadgets, and ranking system can be viewed below (it appears the game will be using a prestige system similar to that which is used in the Call of Duty franchise...). So what do my fellow Battlefielders think about Battlefield Hardline? Is it too soon for another Battlefield game to be released? Is Battlefield starting to become the next Call of Duty? Let me know! 4. I recently published a book called Worlds for Throng. Its been a long-time fantasy of mine to see this as either a video game, movie, or both. I'll post the plot synopsis so you can get a sense of what it is, then I'll get more in-depth: Just-graduated journalist major Timothy Crowling is assigned his first story, and heads into it eagerly, unaware of the pawn-like position he's been forced into as part of one of the grandest schemes humanity's ever attempted: five prestigious individuals assigned to save Earth from an incoming meteor decide humanity is already a dead race. Desperate to free themselves from it, they develop a synthetic planet with the intent of shuttling the good men and women of the world there to restart humanity. The five all have different ideas of how this Utopia should run, and those clashing ideas quickly turn to factions. In essence, it’s a caricature on where we’re headed, why, and how to stop it. Now, I imagine the campaign of the game starting about 2/3 into the book when the "five prestigious individuals" start putting together the shuttle that'll take them to their synthetic planet. This would be a classic, militaristic fps with a lot of cinematic, fast-paced action and sort of a secret agent, FBI feel at times. Halfway through, it would turn into a more futuristic, ridiculous action-packed shooter. The kind of action that's more like fast-paced dancing than fighting. I would want to take the dialogue and the plot from the book and work off that directly for the game. Essentially recreate each chapter for each level in the game. The player would switch off between the five main characters, similar to GTA V. I have a real life actor each of the five main characters would be modeled after, similar to the L4D series. I'm also a musical composer and have written sort of a mock-score for the story. If this were to happen, I could score it myself, if that would be okay. Obviously this would be a huge project and this is ridiculous to ask and put on a forum; I know that. The game would be incredibly emotional and philosophical, the action tied to the emotions of the story and the characters and their situation. It would be a familiar but refreshing and incredible experience, I think, if done right. I also have ideas for a multiplayer for it which would have slayer and death match and a character that you create, customize and level-up, among other things similar to Spartan Ops, but a versus-mode Spartan Ops. I could get into that another time maybe, if this miraculously gets picked up. Obviously this has been a fantasy of mine for some time and I genuinely believe it could be great. If anyone has any questions or concerns, feel free to ask. I don't know how to contact 343 directly. I figured this website was a good start. If anyone could direct me to them, that would be greatly appreciated. I'd love feedback in general. Thanks, Emmett

  7. Mass Effect 3 getting 'Omega' DLC and Bioware already devolping a new Mass Effect game. Read below for more details From: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/homepage.php? By: Mike Jackson for CVG UK BioWare has confirmed it's forming plans for an all-new Mass Effect game, which is in development alongside a new IP for "built from the bottom-up with all new gaming technology". BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager Aaryn Flynn confirmed as much in a new blog post discussing the future of BioWare in the wake of the just-announced retirement of co-founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka. Mass Effect 3 brought the current story arc to a close, but of course that doesn't spell the end for the much-loved franchise. "The Mass Effect universe is vast, and [Executive Producer Casey Hudson] and our teams have plans for another full game," confirmed Flynn. "'Where to go next?' with such a project has been a question a lot of us have been asking, and we'd all love to hear your ideas." Even more excitingly, Flynn goes on to reveal that its also working on a new IP seemingly for next-gen hardware. "Both Dragon Age and Mass Effect started as single games but grew into vast universes. But we aren't stopping there," he said. "While Casey continues to oversee the development of our new Mass Effect project, he and his leads are putting together their vision for an all new game set in a fictional universe, built from the bottom-up with all new gaming technology."
  8. Hey 343, I know that no one probably cares but I really think 343 should make a halo wars 2. Halo wars 1 was the most succssful console strategy game and is one of my favorites all time. I still play it often with the other about 9 thousand that are online.. I have heard talk about 343 thinking about kinect for halo wars 2 and I just wanna say don't do it. The game is great with the remote it just needs to be refined somewhat. Kinect would not sell well and it would flop if you were to add new feature and make the original system more appealing I could see it selling well. Some ideas for the game as a long time player 1. More leaders and options (no more then 4 more or else it would be overwhelming) 2. More maps and fix the stupid same map in matchmaking like 10 times in a row 3. Maybe a ranking system where you unlock items (make it more competative) These are just a few suggestions I'm sure you have heard others. Just atleast consider it I know I would buy the game along with many others.
