  1. A few samples of the soundtracks from Halo 2: Anniversary have been revealed, six to be exact, well one full track and 5 samples. You can get an early listen to them now. Image from IGN IGN spoke to with the Audio Director at 343 Industries, Paul Lispson, to reveale these music samples for the game as part of their October's "IGN First". The six pieces of the remastered tracks are up on SoundCloud and they are: The Gungnir Mix - full length track (Mijolnir Mix) Second Prelude (Prologue) Breaking the Covenant (Misha Mansoor's replacement for Breaking Benjamin's "Blow me away") Impart (Impend) Kilindini Harbour (Earth City) Unforgotten Memories (Unforgotten) All of Marty O'Donnell's and Mike Salvatori's original work for Halo 2 will be completely remastered for Halo 2's ten year anniversary. The entire Halo 2: Anniversary soundtrack CD album will be released on November 11th and can be pre-ordered at Amazon now. What do you think of the soundtracks so far? Are you looking forward to hearing the full versions and indeed the rest of the album?

  5. Alright we have another Halo 2: Anniversary video from IGN as part of "IGN First" which they will be showing Halo: The Master Chief Collection all month long. In this new video we get to see more footage from both campaign and multiplayer from both the anniversary and classic versions, in wonderful 1080p and 60fps of course. Image from IGN gameplay video Make sure to set the video to 1080p. http://343i.org/2fr There is also a video IGN released yesterday showing great Halo: Combat Evolved anniversary campaign gameplay and good ol' classic multiplayer gameplay also in 1080p and 60fps. http://343i.org/2fs What do you think of the new gameplay videos? Which game from the collection are you be looking forward to the most? Leave a comment below.
  6. IGN has released another video of Halo 2: Anniversary gameplay and in this one we get map tour of the Coagulation remake, Bloodline, along with a full length gameplay video of Capture the Flag in which we get to see some of the new additions such as the Hornet and the Gungoose in action. Image from IGN gameplay video Before jumping into the matchmaking video first take a look at the tour video where they walk us through the map and show off the other new features and additions 343/Certain Affinity have put into it. Here in the link below we get to see the map in full swing with a full length gameplay video of one of Halo's most popular and traditional gametypes, Capture the Flag. http://uk.ign.com/videos/2014/10/17/coagulationbloodline-multiplayer-gameplay-halo-the-master-chief-collection-ign-first Like what you see? 7. The Master Chief Collection game manual was posted online today on xboxlive.com, and included a full list of all the MCC Skulls, and Halo 2: Anniversary Skulls. There's also some other information I'll touch on... but first we'll start with Skulls: - All the skulls from the previous games are making a return. - The original skulls in Halo 2 are still there. - 2 of the Skulls in H2A are not unlocked in the Campaign. Their requirements are in the Skull list below. - The Grunt Funeral skull is not hidden in CE since it was pre-order DLC, and therefore does not have an achievement tied to it. It also seems that Grunt Funeral will be unlocked from the start. - Most skulls spanning across Halo: CE, 2, and 3 will unlock achievements once found. Halo 4 has no skull finding achievements (since there's no skulls hidden in it's campaign). - All the Halo 3, and Halo 4 Skulls are unlocked from the start. The Halo 3 skulls are still hidden in the Campaign. - You can now toggle Halo 4 skulls in Spartan Ops. All the Master Chief Collection Skulls: Miscellaneous information from the Game Manual: - Specializations for Halo 4 are gone. - All 5 Loadouts, and Loadout items for Halo 4 are unlocked from the start. Specialization Loadout Perk exclusive items are also unlocked. - It is currently unknown what will become of the Specialization exclusive Armor, and Weapon Skins. - The 3 add-on Perks for Halo 4 don't seem to be included from the start. - Theater is only available for Halo 2: Anniversary (I'm not sure if it's fully there for H2A), Halo 3, and Halo 4 (though the availability to each of those games is questionable). Theater is not in Halo: CE or Halo 2. - Theater clips cannot be permanently saved to your File Share. You can save clips using Xbox DVR. - The number of people who can be in a Forge game at a time is maxed at 8. - A popup to download the Halo Channel app may appear the first time you watch Halo: Nightfall, but it's unknown if you need the app to watch the show. - Subtitles for all the games can be toggled on or off. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thoughts? 8. We've seen a lot of Halo 2: Anniversary reveals over the past number of months especially screenshots of in-game footage and cinematics. Just after the new site update over at Halo Waypoint a few more images of cinematic screenshots have surfaced, they aren't entirely new reveals but still definitely worth a good look at. Although I believe we get our first look at the Prophet of Regret Thanks to our own Hell Verruckt for kindly passing this news to me. First up we have an image of the actual game box of the Master Chief collection complete with art. Here we have some more cinematic shots of Thel 'Vadam(ee)/The Arbiter, Fleet Admiral Sir Terrence Hood, Prophet of Regret and Sergeant Major Avery Johnson. Leave a comment and tell us your thoughts. 9. Greenskull from Ready Up Live has posted a gameplay video of the level "Gravemind" from Halo 2: Anniversary. In the video we get to see the Gravemind himself in the cutscene created by Blur and a playthrough of the entire level. We are just under 2 weeks away from the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and no doubt this will get fans more excited to jump in and finally play it themselves. 343 Industries has also just release a new cinematic trailer for Halo 2: Anniversary and if you play attention to it we see recreated footage from Blur of the cutscene "Another Day at the Beach". That cutscene was a bonus scene that was included in Halo 2's Multiplayer Map Pack that showed what happened to the crew from second Pelican that was shot down by the Scarab in the Outskirts cutscene from Halo 2. Could we be seeing this bonus material in Halo 2: Anniversary? It sure looks like it. Leave us your thoughts in the comment section below.
  10. The Master Chief Collection game manual was posted a while ago on xboxlive.com, and included a full list of all the MCC Skulls, and Halo 2: Anniversary Skulls. There's also some other information I'll touch on... but first we'll start with Skulls: - Most of the pre-order Skulls are now unlocked in the MCC (except for Feather, which is exclusive until March 27th it seems). Bandanna, Boom, Bonded Pair, Pinata, and Grunt Funeral are now unlocked. - All the skulls from the previous games are making a return with a few new ones for Halo 2. - The original skulls in Halo 2 are still there, and are listed below along with the other Skulls. Most of the original skulls in Halo 2 require you to play on Legendary to find. - You can use skulls with 0.00x multiplier (like Bandanna, and Scarab) to find skulls in the Campaigns, and still get achievements for them. - The skulls hidden on the Mythic maps in Halo 3 are still there, and can be found in Forge mode. - The Grunt Funeral skull is not hidden in CE since it was pre-order DLC, and therefore does not have an achievement tied to it. - Most skulls spanning across Halo: CE, 2, and 3 will unlock achievements once found. Halo 4 has no skull finding achievements (since there's no skulls hidden in it's campaign). - All of the Skulls are unlocked from the start except for the "Swarm" Skull in Halo 2. - You can now toggle Halo 4 skulls in Spartan Ops. - Skulls with a Score Multiplier of 0, when activated, cannot earn you specific Achievements in the MCC (such as the Scarab & Bandanna Skulls). For a list of all the pre-order bonuses head here: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/35475-halo-the-master-chief-collection-pre-order-skulls-and-bonuses/ All Skulls in the MCC list that are Pre-Order bonuses & miscellaneous offers will be denoted by a ***. All original Halo 2 Skulls that can be found in the Campaign will be denoted by this color, and every other skull will be this color. All the Master Chief Collection Skulls & LASO Playlists: Miscellaneous information from the Game Manual: - Specializations for Halo 4 are gone. The Specialization exclusive armor & skins are unlocked from the start. - All 5 Loadouts, and Loadout items for Halo 4 are unlocked from the start. Specialization Loadout Perk exclusive items are also unlocked. - The 3 add-on Perks for Halo 4 don't seem to be included from the start. - Theater is only available for Halo 2: Anniversary (I'm not sure if it's fully there for H2A), Halo 3, and Halo 4 (though the availability to each of those games is questionable). 11. Today, Eurogamer confirmed that the Day 1 Update for the Master Chief Collection has shrunk from the usual 20GBs to 15GBs. Dan Ayoub also states that the TU is available to pre-download if you pre-ordered the digital copy (it seems you need to enable Auto-Download to get the update though). This allows players to play the game the moment HMCC launches: Multiplayer and all. Also, yesterday, Halo & Xbox channels on YouTube uploaded some HMCC launch trailers. 16. Studio head of 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross, sat down with IGN for a quick interview to talk about Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Nightfall, Halo 5: Guardians and more. In the Interview Bonnie confirms that unlocks from the Halo 5: Guardians beta will carry over to the final game, this will obviously include things such as armor, skins etc. Bonnie also spoke about DLC for Halo 2: Anniversary "As for the DLC question - right now we don't have any plans for DLC but we've been asked this a lot. As soon as you guys find out what the last two maps are, let us know what you think and we'll see what we can do." Despite having no plans for DLC for Halo 2: Anniversary it is very clear their doors are open to it and we could be seeing more remastered maps. So for those who thought six remastered maps wasn't quite enough there is now hope more will arrive in the future. To watch the full interview click on the video below. Are you happy to hear that content from the Halo 5: Guardians beta will carry over to the actual game? If 343 Industries does release DLC for Halo 2 what maps would you like to be included?

  19. As the title says, a screenshot of Elite Armor from Halo 2: Anniversary has been revealed (seemingly from PAX, and courtesy of Halo4Nation). One of the variants closely resembles the classic Elite Armor seen in the older games (like CE, 2, and Halo Wars) and the other two (from my knowledge) are unknown variants. Also above the 3 sets (which I'm guessing there will be more) is the regular Armor Option, what seems to be a "Armor Type" option (for either Spartan or Elite races), and finally the Player Colors. It has been confirmed on numerous occasions that armor unlocked from previous games, along all other unlocks (including Ranks) WILL NOT carry over into the Master Chief Collection. It's a clean slate of course. Well... that's it. End of the show, thanks for watching, and all that. - - - - - Thoughts? 23. As the title says, this is an attempted full recap of the Halo panel at Gamescom, Day 1. First up it's the Halo Channel Next up is the Halo 5: Guardians Beta First Look. Lastly, we have the Sanctuary MCC reveal (Sanctuary is Reach's Asylum) The ranking system for MCC was mentioned somewhere (probably in the full panel, which HaloFollower has on his profile... which I don't feel like linking since it's not the official post), and I think P34nut has it on his thread. Soo colorful... And last, but not least, we have the Delta Halo Campaign Gameplay (Ardent Prayer). Welp I'll try to get some more information, but for now this is it. Thanks to P34nut, Ledgend1221, Edward Kenway, and Ardent Prayer for a good chunk of the information. - - - - - Thoughts?
