Hello everyone, as you know I'm Edward Kenway, the fictitious pirate who probably only exists in your imagination (and the hearts and minds of children everywhere). I'm bringing you yet another event, not as soon though on a game that we never really got far off the ground on when it came to hosting playdates. Some of you may not know, but we have a crew for GTA V on the forum, here, we hosted a few playdates then did nothing ever again... I'm serious. Well, it's been almost 1 year since the game's launch, and I figure let's host a playdate on the anniversary! Which is the 17th... A wednesday... So it's on the 6th, a Saturday. You may be asking why not the 13th, the saturday during the week of the anniversary. Anything after the ninth (Destiny FTW) is impossible, because Destiny FTW. You'll need Gold (obviously), and to be in the crew, but I'll take your word for it. We're gonna go in, do some random activities, robberies, and burn down the place. It'll be fun, I promise. The entry fee is $10, however you have no way of giving me the $10 up front, so I'll take your word for it that you will pass it to me some other way. Grand Theft Auto Franchise Ships Over 220 Million Units!

Rockstar has recently confirmed that the Grand Theft Auto franchise has shipped a combined total of over 220 million units in its lifetime! Grand Theft Auto is a massively popular franchise created and published by Rockstar Games. The series recently reached a milestone that very few other titles will ever see, 220 million units shipped with all games combined. IGN.com reported the sales numbers, stating that shockingly, Grand Theft Auto V made up quite a hefty number in that. Grand Theft Auto V actually sold 54 million of those total copies, representing about 1/4 of the total. It was also confirmed that Red Dead Redemption, the highly popular western also made by Rockstar Games, had sold-in 14 million units to-date. Grand Theft Auto V is available for sale right now, currently, no future paid content for the game has been detailed by Rockstar. If you're eager to get your hands on GTA V for the PC, I have some good news for you for next week. GTA V is finally coming for PC, after tons of delays and bumps in the road, PC gamers will at last have their copy to mod and do as they please. GameSpot.com is reporting that the game is on it's final legs and that next week, Rockstar will allow PC gamers to pre-load their copy of GTA V on the PC. They will be able to do this through either Rockstar Warehouse, their own store, or through Steam. The game will require a hefty monitor system and about 65 GB of free install space, so pre-loading isn't a bad idea. The PC version is mostly the same in terms of features, with the exception of mod capability and the new Video Editor mode, but technically, the game will be able to run at 4K, as well as at 60FPS on triple-screen monitors and in shiny 3D. The PC version will officially launch April 14th, unless Rockstar pulls a late April Fools on us and decides to push it back another year. The second coming of Christ video game, known as Grand Theft Auto V, has surpassed a few big steam giants and become a top dog. At this point, you either own Grand Theft Auto V, or you've heard of it, the game is so widespread there isn't a soul on this earth who hasn't. In large part because of this, GTA V's recent PC launch has broken a previous record on Steam, as reported by Polygon.com. You see, taking a few steps back, on November 11th, 2011, a little title by the name of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim released on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, and topped Steam's record of non-Valve games at 280,000 players in one day. Well, a new alpha of the pack has risen, as GTA V topped off at 301,246 when it peaked in players today. The game launched to (still) successful reviews and has been in the running since back in Summer of 2014 for PC. GTA V is one of the only games to have such a life cycle where 2 years can pass and sales stay just as strong. Don't underestimate it though, DOTA 2 is still Steam's overall top dog with a player count bypassing a million, and Counter-Strike is nipping at it's heels. GTA V has a long way to go before becoming the king of Steam. GREETINGS CHILDREN. You may or may not remember, but last year I had an unfortunate accident in my family which made doing my Trinity Events impossible, it's been a year since and I feel it's high time to show you what I've got in store. I am organizing 3 events on 3 unconfirmed Saturdays in April. This is all going to take place on the Xbox One. We have two games confirmed so far on the roster! The other is up to your vote! IGN.com reports that key people in Microsoft and Sony Computer Entertainment America, Adam Boyes and Chris Charla, did reveal that key conversations with developers were about the implementation of an Early Access system akin to Steam's. ID@Xbox's chief Chris Charla, mentioned above, gave the most information on it, saying, "It's a really interesting issue with digital marketplaces, and it's something our store and marketplace team think about all the time . . . Our goal is to have a rational marketplace, where good games are visible and sell well." Adam Boyes made similar comments, stating, "It's still a project that a lot of minds are considering. PCGamer.com describes that a European site called CoolShop listed the game for November 14th, 2014, meaning that North Americans will likely get it on the 11th of November. The date does make some sense, as the majority of European releases happen on Friday, and happen in North America on Tuesday. The date has been changed to the standard issue filler date of December 31st, 2014, but PCGamer still has a snapshot of it, visible on the article. Bioware to Discuss Mass Effect 4 at Comic-Con Details on the upcoming Mass Effect 4, likely not even to be called that, have been scarce, save for some conceptual art at E3 and scattered comments toward the product, however, this Comic-Con you will likely be able to see more of the new Mass Effect. Polygon.com states that this Comic-Con, according to the schedule, Bioware will be appearing to talk about Mass Effect 4. Well-known members of the Bioware team like Mike Gamble and Jessica Merizan will be making an appearance at the panel. Aside from that Bioware is remaining scant on the whole thing, so we'll have to wait to see what else they have in store. So far, there has been no confirmed release date for the next Mass Effect, but it is likely not going to be in 2014 and will probably release in 2015 or 2016 at the latest. GTA V's heists have been delayed again. Nearly a year ago Rockstar promised us we could play heists together with our friends. As you might have noticed we still cannot rob banks and earn mad dolla bills. To make matters worse Rockstar has stated that they'll have to delay this feature... yet again. In a post on Rockstar Newswire the developers apologize sincerely. They state that they're working hard on this feature and want to make sure to give us the best content possible. (This excuse it getting real old) Furthermore they thank us for our patience. With Rockstars known history of breaking the game even further with every update they release I'm hoping they take their time and spend it well. Although this is really taking long. As you may or may not have heard, I announced a minigame playdate a little while back called Maestro's Merry Minigames, or MMM for short. The Dumb Marine announced a playdate also, a couple weeks before I announced MMM. And just recently, Edward Kenway/Omega stated that he too had a playdate in the works. Since fate has decided that MMM, the Dumb Marine's Holiday Playdate, and Edward's playdate would fall upon the same day, Bnus suggested that we merge the first two playdates. After a long conference filled with much deliberating, negotiating, discussions, and the signing of treaties, we have come up with... WE MERGED 'EM INTO MMEMMM! So now we have one massive playdate in store for everyone! The Dumb Marine will be kicking off the playdate with every gametype under the sun in Halo 4, I'll keep the fun rolling with minigames from throughout cyberspace, and Edward will wrap things up with some Halo Reach, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Halo Wars! Rockstar Games will release Grand Theft Auto V story downloadable content in 2014, the developer announced today through its website. "We have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin, and Trevor's action, mayhem, and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas," Rockstar said. No new single-player content for GTAV has been announced to date. Predecessor Grand Theft Auto IV welcomed two post-release expansions: The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of *** Tony. Also planned for 2014 are GTA Online Heists. Rockstar said it is currently working "very hard" to polish them as best it can before release next year, though no other details were revealed.
