  1. I Love Me Some Classics! Hello everyone, I (Edward Kenway) am doing a simple community event on Halo Reach. It's your basic classic event, we'll be playing an array of game-modes like Invasion and Slayer and having some fun, nothing too out of the ordinary! However, I will have to run by some rules for the event. 1. If you slander, berate, or act immature toward another member during the event, you will be booted. No exceptions and no second chances. 2. I don't mind having a hardy time, but try to keep topics out of the sexual, political, or religious areas as generally those conversations get out of hand and if you start one and someone acts out on your behalf you will also be booted. 3. I'd prefer a microphone on everyone so the party isn't barren. 4. HAVE FUN AND DESTROY THE OTHER TEAM! The event begins August 23rd at 3:00PM EST, be sure to get on the shoutbox first so I can give anyone attending the go-ahead to get online and get your gamertags to invite you. Player list is below, if we fill up I'll see if I can get a second lobby, JOIN FAST. 1. Edward Kenway 2. Butch Flowers (Maybe) 3. MoM Destruct 4. Blake Belladonna (Maybe) 5. Bnus (Maybe) 6. Arno Dorian 7. -Sparky- 8. Unease P34nut 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16.
  2. These walls lurk deep within the gorge that was once know as Trinity City... 2-8 players. Trinity Gorge is a small, symmetrical, arena styled competitive map. It has 3 floors to it, each one connecting to the central tower. Great for Capture the Flag and Team Slayer. Images of the map: Gravity lift to 3rd floor: Blue spawn. Red spawn. Tower 3 and Sniper spawn. Overview of map: Video walkthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsNu0UJJc54

With new aesthetics. It’s a mix of the Games; GoldenEye, Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark Zero. Features of course the Toilet room with the airshaft. Also the wardrobe with a little recreation area, the pin board and at last the Silo section. Additional Info: I chused Impact because its the only map who has Silos. I found also that the Station corridor fits perfectly for the purpose in that region between the two Silo rooms even if the entrance to them are not the same like in the original map. (diagonal opposite) I made the roof of the map with glass pieces to keep it more brighter, since impact is a very dark map in close rooms. I run out of money and couldn’t close the roof everywhere completely , but it doesn’t matter. I put several instant kill and one soft kill Zones over the two inverted Silos only for the Food Mode since the Flood Players cant reach that location without Jetpacks. I build this map first for Aesthetic purposes. Its not been designed to be a balanced CTF or Dominion Map since the original shape of the Level doesn’t allow it, but i had a lot of fun to build it anyway. Enjoy ^.^
  4. Remember when an Ice cream cone cost 10 Cents? Crazy right? WELL I DON'T REMEMBER BECAUSE I WASN'T ALIVE THEN! BUT HERE'S WHAT I DO KNOW! A Box of Popsicles now costs about $4-5 dollars today in THIS economy. I mean come on. $4-5? Really? Frozen chemicals on a stick are that much? Oh thats not all! A Carton of Edy's Icecream can cost up to $6-7. I mean what the hell is wrong with the world? I don't want to pay that much for Ice Cream SO HERE'S THE MORAL: Don't be ripped off with EXPENSIVE Ice Cream, just have Ice instead. It's cold, has a fresh, powerful, neutral flavor, and is just like the dire thing you need in your life(Water) BUT FROZEN! SO HAVE MORE ICE TO EAT TODAY! (PS My Photo in my signature matches up well with the end of this post )
  5. Since the release of the the comic series Halo: Escalation there has been much discussion regarding the first appearance of the Arbiter since the ending of Halo 3, and his very noticeable aesthetic change in his armor. But this is about what some people might not have noticed, and that is the return of two classic Elite armor sets, Ascetic and Assault. To the right of Arbiter is an Elite in Ascetic Armor. And at the far top right of the panel is an Elite in Assault Armor. The return of these two armor sets tell us several things, these being that other classic armor sets such as Commando, Combat, and Flight may return as usable armor sets in Multiplayer if Elites return as playable character, which would make sense within the War Games Canon as Separatist Elites could train against Spartan IVs if alliances between the UNSC and the Separatists remain intact. Or Separatist allies may utilize these armor sets in Campaign to help distinguish them from the Storm enemies. Another possibility emerges as well, since the Separatist Elites utilize older armor sets, they may still use older weapons such as the Plasma Rifle or Brute weapons, or they may use older vehicles such as the Spectre, the Revenant, or older, more classic versions of current Covenant vehicles.
  6. What's up! Over the last couple of months I have made a number of MAP REMAKES from past Halo games and they are DOWNLOADABLE from my fileshare with the gamertag "Abstyler" and I created VIDEO WALKTHROUGHS for them on my YouTube Channel youtube.com/AbstylerVideos Be sure to SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube channel, it helps me out a lot and you will always know when I create new remakes and bring out OTHER GREAT CONTENT such as montages and tips and tricks! The maps have been modified and tested a lot, so I'm safe to say in the latest versions they are uncheatable and spawns are not causing any problems either. If you do find anything that I should update please let me know via Twitter or XBL (link's below). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's a list with fileshare and video links (BEAR IN MIND the video walkthroughs do not show the most up to date versions of the map): Sandbox http://www.halowaypoint.com/de-de/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/2466b056-1660-4a77-b901-3a998e83fec0 Countdown http://www.halowaypoint.com/de-de/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/e32c4664-ac3c-4cf6-83bb-1fc371dcba24 Hang 'em High http://www.halowaypoint.com/de-de/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/a8b49413-b815-4c73-b91e-76c14aab98db MLG Zealot http://www.halowaypoint.com/de-de/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/e0269091-5ffb-4a8f-916e-e71496b3f10d Ascension/Pinnacle http://www.halowaypoint.com/de-de/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/b0383928-fabe-40a9-8fd8-ebllcd304828 Uncaged http://www.halowaypoint.com/de-de/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/cff6d1a0-a0fd-4095-8fc0-b18afe1d62a6 For more Info on the maps please check out this link https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst186149p2_Official-Community-Cartographers-Thread.aspx
  7. Map: Cutthroat Creator: Did4ct Gametype: Slayer, KOTH, Oddball Budget: ~5000/10000 Description: Cutthroat is a small symmetrical map inspired by elements from Construct, Chill Out, and Guardian. It is perfectly nestled on the side of the cliff with a very small walkable space on the shelf of the cliff. This map has an exposed center with a mid-level wrapped around it, and two high-levels opposite each other. While it plays somewhat like a small arena map, it has only 1 line of symmetry but is pretty balanced. There are many places for strategic jumps. Most of the jumps allow the player to cross higher levels without dropping to the bottom. It is also easy to get from lower levels to higher ones. It is a clean simple forge with the classic Halo weapon spawning. There is a sniper at the bottom, needler at the top, shotgun on a top level, and BRs, DMRs, ARs, and Magnums throughout. There is a plasma pistol, a carbine, and some stickies and frags. There are not too many weapons on the map but just enough for fast gameplay. This map is mainly intended for classic slayer gametypes but can work well with others. Player count: Supports 16 players but is best for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 Video Link
  8. Map Name: Centipede 2 Description: A Horizantal variant of the classic arcade game, "centipede". The concept is simple--no one can jump. It forces the Flood into the trademark zig zag, with no thrusters to speed them up, though their natural movement is still 150%. Everyone has 3 lives, and the Humans hav Binary Rifles, and one of three secondary weapons: A.) Magnum and grenades (B.) Beam Rifle, No Grenades (C.) Plasma Pistol, No grenades. Humans have unlimited ammo but must reload. GT/Creator: TheBloodbath22 Gametype: "Centipede 2" Flood variant. 9. That's right! This is a KOTH version of the arcade classic, also black and white here. The concept is this: 200 points to win, 5 hills shrinking inward (every 60 seconds) along the grid you play on , with Kill, Soccer, and Golf balls rolling at you--and flying crashing warthogs to boot--with only rockets/incineration cannons and a gravity hammer to save you. 5 lives per round! GT/Creator: TheBloodbath22 Gametype: "Asteroids" KoTH. **Download Gametype Here: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/b266223f-e451-4e3c-a31a-60018a8c070d ** Supported/Recommended Players: 1 - 8 Map Download Link: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/71f57728-f722-4ed1-8bc9-9c7d3721dbc2

  11. I have been a long time player of the halo games and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we are a little bit hung out over the DMR. I'm not just complaining here, I'm going to make a valid statement. It is the most prominent weapon used in general. Just look at anyone on waypoint. It covers long range with 50/50 on snipers, beam rifle and can disrupted binary equally well if it lands first. It has no competition in mid range from pistol, carbine ,light rifle and about 50/50 with battle rifle when direct no cover face to face confrontation and has the advantage on close range over storm rifle and assault rifle variants if you don't make the first 5 bullets connected before hand which can be easily countered with a quick grenade head shot combo or melee. It also has the ability to jolt the character more then most other guns slowing them down and has boosted aim assist which is very obvious. I've shot people half off my scope and have gotten kills with it. Doesn't anyone else think the assault rifles should get a bit more of a boost in close quarters? Not much point if they loose every direct confrontation. They only one up in groups or whilst the target is distracted so you can land your first couple of hits. Its at least 50/50 in long range, 70/30 short and 80/20 medium if not more so. That is far more average coverage to other weapons. You cant knock someones scopes out at long range with an assault rifle and such, it is strictly short range so why should it share that territory with DMR so much. It's used too much because of the clear advantage and I would like to be able to have an equal chance while using all the parts of the game. Shouldn't there at the least be a lobby like classic where you don't get to start with dmr, battle rifle or plasma grenades. I think it would do the community well to appeal to people in some way that have delt with the dmr all through halo reach and now halo 4. I miss halo 3 starting with assault rifle, one grande and a pistol and everything else was on the battle field. I believe it would make the game play flow better, allow players to use more weapons, appeal to veteran gamers and also chop down on high grenade kills. What do you all think?
  12. So, what we have is a smorgesboard of playlists, but they are all completely separated. CTF, KotH, Ball, and the other objective playlists should be narrowed into a single playlist of team objective. Regicide is alright, Infinity Slayer is alright, Slayer Pro is lacking, but alright. As for BTB, why is it only slayer? Add some objective types to it, or at least make a BTB objective playlist. Also, we have a FFA in Regicide, but there are no objective based FFAs. Bring in a classic Rumble Pit playlist with a mix of traditional slayer and objective game types. Im glad you all wasted no time getting Snipes and SWAT out there. But, now as a classic Halo-er... I don't mind ordinances and special loadouts and such... but that is freaking COD. I want to play REAL Halo. I want everyone to start with an AR and a magnum and two frags. I want the weapons to be on the maps like they used to, with spawn times I could track and control. I want the maps to be more balanced for real STRATEGIC map control, none of this spawn in random locations nonsense. You can't lock down maps any more competitively. There are no decent maps like Lockout/Guardian for one on ones and small FFAs in customs anymore. (I am actually working and close to finishing a Lockout remake in forge that is beautiful.) None of the maps have a sense of true urgency to them. The best ones I have to say are Haven, Ragnarok, and Adrift. The rest, I feel you could port onto COD and play the exact same way. Five shot kills? Adjust player health and damage in the custom setting for four shot kills again. And reduce the rifles on the map to BRs only, no DMRs. I don't know why you guys separated the original role of the BR into two different rifles other than to appease both the Reach kids and the old fags like myself. And I wish you would have followed through with your promise to be able to disable sprinting. Sprinting really ruins the flow of the games. The only way you compensated it by was making the maps way larger, giving the DMR a more natural edge over the BR anyways. And... thats not a good thing. These massive maps, as I said earlier, aren't as urgent.
  13. Hello, I'm zombiesocks99. And today, I will be showing you the Trench wars map and game type I have recently created. I should probably get this covered first. GamerTag: zombiesocks99 Map: Trench Warfare Game Type: Trench Wars Upon realizing that one of my most favorite game types in Halo wasn't on Halo 4 yet, and that I have pretty good forging skills, I decided to make one myself. And this beauty was born. After the fall of the Territories Game type, I decided to use Dominion, because It looked like it could include so much more for an already awesome game type. Let me be your tour guide for today, and show you around the map. (Sorry for the low quality pictures.) This is the interior of the red base. Everything you see here, is on the other side of the map, same goes with the blue base. I like symmetry. You have unlimited ammo if you are in your base, this includes the roof, but does not provide unlimited ammo at the main mortar cannon. (Coming up!) One Concussion Rifle ordinance drops in from time to time to offer support. The wings on the left and right of the bases are spawn rooms. To prevent spawn camping, there are two ways you can exit your base. The first exit is just the basic front exit, while the second one is up the ramps, which leads to the roof. Each exit is covered with a one way shield for obvious reasons. This is the warthog of the base, It provides mobility and firepower for the team. You've stuck with me this long, how about I show you the base's exterior defenses. This beast is the main mortar cannon of each base. I have positioned each (Symmetrically!) so that they can only cover a limited range, just outside of the enemy's base. (I will admit, it took me FOREVER to position the tanks like this, but it's worth it!) The main mortar is actually pretty difficult to get a kill with, but if you can plan where the shot is going, you will have a good time. Protip: When using this machine, the enemy's rocket hog is NOT your friend. Another angle of the mortar cannon in action. (A good example of what the enemy team will look at) More defenses! These two things are the Wraith mortar secondary defenses, it pretty much replaces the Revenants from Halo: Reach's Trench Wars. Unless you're a god, I doubt you could plan a kill with this thing. It's more of a "Shoot everywhere, and maybe I'll hit something" Weapon. If you can position your shot just right, you could be able to kill someone camping in a trench. Who knows? This is the third and final defense. The Shade turrets are well protected and the building that was placed over them keeps your head nice and warm from even the most trigger happy Spartans! This thing should be used if you want enemies to retreat and duck behind cover, or simply if you want to light up the battlefield. Protip: This should only be used if the enemy's main mortar cannon is destroyed. Otherwise, this'll happen... ... Yeah... Now, let's focus on the main trenches themselves. Shall we? Due to basic Dominion, you can not capture trenches if you are on the side of the trench. (Y'know, It's not territories...) You can only capture a base if you are in the middle of the trench, looking at the Base terminal. Once a territory is claimed, It will fortify, bringing up a few barricades and turrets with each trench. Resupply ordinance depends on the trench you're in. Once in a trench, enemy trench or ally trench, you will have unlimited ammo. Fortification of a trench in action! Once all trenches are captured by one team, or whoever racks up the most points within the time limit, that team wins. Thank you for sticking with me on this tour, I hope you are interested in this.
  14. I'd like to see a classic mode. No sprint. No abilities. No loadout. No ordinance No X to Respawn. Regular weapon spawns. No being slowed down whilst shot. No the more you shoot the less accurate you are. No bull****. Forge World. Anything else I need to add I might of forgotten
  15. map pack with classic maps (lockout, Bloodgulch, midship, Pinnacle) to install by cd or usb and live
  16. Reach SWAT has problems. I'm sure many SWAT fans like me have noticed this. Probably the most problematic issue is the campiness on maps such as Reflection, Uncaged and Pinnacle (to name a few). These maps play horrible with SWAT, with easily exploitable map flaws and power positions. So, I decided to look back at Halo 2 and Halo 3 SWAT to see what differences might account for this change in both maps and gametypes. One of the things that stood out to me was the presence of grenades. Halo 2 and 3 SWAT both featured grenades not off of spawn, but placed on the map. My thoughts are, that if damage resistance is tweaked, grenades might be a good (re)introduction to this gametype. They would decrease camping "tactics" (term used lightly) and help to create a fast-paced, dynamic playlist with maps that, although not ideal, at least work better. This could provide a potential 3rd-slot voting gametype option to replace the terrible SWAT Magnums. As of now, there are a few changes I have made, and a few that I am unsure of: Changes from normal SWAT: 1. sprint removed (see #2) 2. 120% speed, 100% jump, 150% gravity (makes headshots more reliant on aim than twitch reflexes) 3. 500% damage resistance (nerf grenades) 4. 200% health recharge (nerf grenades) 5. health packs on map (help with recovery from grenades) 6. 300% melee (1-hit melee kill, like Halo 2 and Halo 3) 7. nades on map: default (the whole point) 8. 85% bloom (less spammy) 9. no magnum secondary (too easy to spam at close-mid range) Possible changes from normal SWAT (need testing/feedback): 1. 1x frag off of spawn (could turn game into nadefest, though) 2. limited ammo - could encourage players to move around the map and pick up dropped ammo 3. friendly fire off (prevent accidental nade betrayals) There are also a few maps I would like to see added, while we are on the topic of SWAT: 1. Lockout Classic 2. The Pit v3 3. Refuge [D] (to replace Asylum) I've probably forgotten some here, but it's a start. And, please, when you give feedback to this post do not jump to the conclusion "OHHHHH NADES IN SWAT SUCH A N00B OHHHHHHHHHHH"...if you think an idea sucks, explain why, because it might be tweakable.
