  1. Let’s suppose you have a favorite cuisine, as I am sure you, as most people, do. You go to other restaurants and try other types, Italian, Chinese, French, Cajun, Greek, etc. There’s countlessly many types of cuisines, as there are games. You found your favorite type though, and more importantly, your favorite restaurant that serves that cuisine, your favorite game. You go to that restaurant several times, and are always happy with your purchases. Yet one day there’s a new manager. He promises things will not change, yet your first entrée you order under him, Halo 4, arrives and gives you diarrhea. They have taken your favorite cuisine, let’s say it’s Chinese, and served you curry, expecting you to not know that they literally took your food, your characters, threw them away, brought in everything about curry (call of duty) and slapped on the ‘chinese’ cuisine name. You get diarrhea and vomiting from how terrible that curry is, curry you spent years waiting for and over a $100 on. A few years later you decide you will give it another shot. You spend $60 on one last item of Chinese food from that restaurant. You get food poisoning from that food. To apologize for apparently ‘forgetting’ to notice the maggots, smell, mold, and other total signs that the food was is no way fit for public consumption. They apologize ‘profusely’ for this ‘honest mistake’ and promise you a FREE glass of water (month of Xbox Live) and, if you can afford to wait, an appetizer complimentary onion ring (Halo 3: ODST). That totally makes up for the pain, disappointment, destroyed trust, and all that time and money you spent. But hey, at least you’re ‘1th’ place to them, right? You still have food poisoning from them. That food they served you still has maggots in it, they haven’t finished picking them all out yet, still MANY flaws and gross oversights. But hey, the manager comes and tells you to be excited because in a few months here they’ll have a BRAND NEW ENTRÉE, Halo 5! You should for some reason be excited for that despite the fact they still haven’t fixed your current entrée you spent money on MONTHS ago. Now, if this was a restaurant that just poisoned you and had previously given you diarrhea and vomiting, would you buy from this restaurant again? Would you risk what might happen from eating that new entrée they have coming out? No. No one would. And what, might I ask is the difference between 343i and a restaurant? Both are businesses trying to make money. Both depend on people to keep them in business. Yet, for some reason, the restaurant will probably have a way you can contact them with concerns, but 343i requires going through their mommy, Microsoft Chat, who has promised countless times to ‘leave them a note’ and you still haven’t gotten a response. I have several friends who I used to spend nights on end playing Halo with. Laughing, enjoying the game way past its replay value. Now, all of those friends have moved on, they no longer care for anything about Halo due to what 343i has done, poisoned the trust of their consumers. I now sit at their table, asking why I should continue sitting there for this ‘new cuisine’ when there’s another city, called Play Station, with the same cuisines and only missing this said restaurant, the one where the CEO for some reason can’t demand an answer to the maggots in their consumers food, and where the chef who served that crap is a ghost, one you have no reason to believe even remotely cares about your comments to their food. Just like this restaurant should be shut down for what it’s done to the consumers in poisoning them, so should 343 be shut down for the disgrace they’ve brought upon a name Bunjie spent years building up. I tried contacting you via Microsoft Chat 4-5 times, and posted on your forums around Christmas time (you still haven't responded). It is now 5 months post launch. You still don't have MCC working (your 'ranking coming' soon message is becoming rather tiresome and tedious, but not only that, the ONLY ranking you have is so illogical it's laughable. I went 9 kills and 33 deaths last game. My ranking didn't budge down to what it should be, because, you know, that would be an actual ranking system, file share has been gutted and tossed aside despite how popular it was for years on end, players still lag switch and use modded controllers in matchmade games and you do nothing, teams are ridiculously one-sided and uneven, games constantly fail to load, frame-rates plummet on your maps, players are STILL booted from lobbies after EVERY game, I constantly 'lose connection to host' despite having a 30 mbps download speed and am consequently forced to reload everything, no penalty for players quitting early, these are but a few) and yet you CONTINUE to pump out and advertise your new 'entree' coming out soon when the one you JUST served us still has maggots crawling in it. What are you, as a whole doing? I have invested +$200 into your hands, and you have let me down consecutively. Give me one good reason to invest even one more cent into your pockets, or even one way you plan to right this wrong. One reason is all I ask of you that I shouldn't sell my Xbox right now and move to Play Station, because let me tell you that Halo is the only reason for me being on Xbox, and right now that doesn't look like a very sufficient reason.
  2. The Future of Halo will no longer considered a "trilogy" but rather a "Saga". According to an article released last week, future titles will no longer be numbered like previous titles. According to Forbes contributor Paul_Tassi .... Last week, before Microsoft pulled a 180 on their DRM and internet policies, I remarked that because the Xbox One was in a rather rough spot, it was going to have to rely on Halo as a system seller now more than ever. The playing field has been leveled a bit since then with the death of license-based disc games and internet check-in, but it’s a statement that still holds true. Microsoft seems to agree. That’s why it’s been announced that 343′s Reclaimer Trilogy, which was meant to be Halos 4, 5 and 6, has now transformed into something Microsoft is now calling a Halo “saga.” This idea sprung to life when they were pressed about what exactly the Halo title was that was shown at E3, as it didn’t have a number or even a subtitle. Would it be an add-on type game like ODST, or another full Halo game like the numbered installments? The answer is the latter, though whether it will be called Halo 5 isn’t clear and might be beside the point now anyway. With that news, Phil Spencer spoke to Gamespot about the new plan for upcoming Halo games: “While we originally said trilogy, we’ve actually expanded this to more of a saga, so we don’t want to limit the Reclaimer story within a trilogy.” What this potentially might mean is that Microsoft wants to bump up the frequency of Halo titles. I don’t think it would be physically possible to turn it into a yearly Call of Duty style release with only 343 working on it, nor do I think that would be good for the series. But we might see a higher occurrence of the games all the same. When all the DRM/always-on drama was going down, I posed a question to Xbox loyalists/Halo enthusiasts about whether or not the games exclusivity on the one would make them buy a system. The response was an overwhelming no. Partly because Microsoft’s policies were too intrusive to stomach, but a fair amount said that Halo just didn’t have the same draw that it used to have after six shooter titles. Many were more excited about Destiny or Titanfall, new IPs from trusted studios, including Halo’s former masters, Bungie. That said, Halo is still a powerful franchise for Microsoft to wield, and by “unrestricting” themselves from a trilogy, it’s clear they have big plans for the series. So there you have it! Future Halos will no longer be numbered with new titles planning to be released more frequently. Also note the response to the "exclusivity on the One would make them buy a system"... "response was an overwhelming NO." What does this mean for the franchise that alot of gamers deemed the "best first person shooter"?? Guess we will have to wait and see what Microsoft and 343Industries have planned. Image and content courtesy of Forbes.com.
  3. Hey every one, spartan_j03 here. Im still just warming up to the forums here, so i know i still dont have much of a rep, but im warming up quick. Anyways i just want to mention that i had thanked our own Bnus for his cancer awerness banner on my own behalf, as I myself have been diagnosed with, treated for, and free of cancer when i was younger. However, he was very modest in bringing up the fact that he is not the only member here that has shown their support. Cancer was a terrible encounter that i dont wish upon anyone, so with copious amounts of gratitude I thank you all! members, mods, site owners, and all the rest, thanks . hopefully soon we can all GAIN THE LEAD on cancer, and FINISH THE FIGHT to end its KILLING SPREE. XD

  7. Halo 5 Wishlist They changed so many things in halo 3 that shouldn't have been changed. To me Halo 3 multiplayer was perfect. -No loadouts -No Ordinance -Back to halo 3 ODST firefight where you don't spawn with a rocket launcher.... -More customizable armour -longer campaign -Add elites in multiplayer -More weapons including promeathean weapons -Dual wielding -More vehicles -More smaller maps and less vehicle friendly maps. It feels like I have to run forever to get across maps like complex -change lobby format back to previous halo games so the playercards are at the right instead of bottom -Keep up with awesome campaign -Bring back timed weapon spawns in multiplayer. -Add skulls that have to be found in campaign. -Add 1 or more forge worlds -Explain why elites have turned against the humans which should have been explained in halo 4 -Add Covenant, Promeathean, and flood to firefight. -Take out join mid game matched. After a game ends and another one starts, it's always 2v1 or 2v0 because everyone leaves. This wishlist is mostly all the things they changed from halo 3 but it's like this. Why fix something when it's not broken. Again Halo 3 was perfect and nothing major should have changed
  8. My personal opinion on all of these new features for Halo 4. I'm actually excited for Halo 4, and do NOT think it will be like COD. I guess I'm part of the 1% who think that. lolololo Spartan Points I actually like this idea a lot. It sounds very similar to Halo: Reach's Credit system, and I really enjoyed being able to see myself gain money for getting kills and winning matches. The only thing Reach lacked, was a Ranking System. But it has already been stated that Halo 4 will indeed have a Ranking System, so I think this will work pretty well. Spartan Ops This Idea has me pumped! Its basically story-mode objective missions, that are updated every week. They are free, and will keep on coming for months after the game release. It seems like it will keep me, along with the rest of the Halo Community, playing Halo 4 for a while. Custom Loudouts Alright, so I am personally excited to see what exactly this is. The Custom Loudouts will consist of 4 things; Your Primary and Secondary gun, your grenade type, your armor ability, and your modifications. Also, the Jet Pack, Invisibility, and Hologram are coming back. Now ALOT of people are automatically saying that the game is ruined because of this, but I truly think their Idiots. We haven't even seen how these new features will play out, and their already judging the game itself? Like Come on, its not going to be like COD, 343i is smarter than that. You will most likely only be able to choose regular weapons like the AR, BR, and DMR as your starting guns. And the modifications will probably be things like "2% Jump Increase". So just calm down and wait to actually see the game in action. Why Reds fight Blues 343i said that multiplayer never had a purpose behind it "story-wise". Which makes perfect sense, because it doesn't. All you do in thee past games, is just kill Spartans for no reason. So to fix that, they have made it so you are a Spartan IV, and are playing virtually on the UNSC Infinity, for combat-testing purposes. The multiplayer actually being the virtual playtest.. With this new feature, I think the game will actually feel a lot cooler, and make more sense in itself. Sprint Sprint is now a default ability, and will always be there for your use. I've always wanted this, and felt like Halo: Reach kinda lacked playability, when they made it into an armor ability. Forerunner Vision So alot of people are jumping to conclusion about this "Forerunner Vision" thing, calling it COD-Like. Now Frank O' Connor has stated that this is more of a UAV type thing, and that you will not be able to see enemies across the map with it. Me personally, I think it is going to be like the night-vision option from Halo 3: ODST.
  9. Hey so I live in Denver Colorado and today is December 3rd, 2012 and it's currently 11:11 am. I still haven't received the early access to specializations by email even though I have played online everyday from launch through the November 20th deadline. Just wondering if anyone else still doesn't have their codes, and this is pretty ****ty because I'm stuck at level 70 without anywhere to go. Just looking for some feedback as to when/how I can obtain my early access code and continue gaining XP on Infinity War Games once again. Thanks, V
  10. Hey, We're making a machinima series and while we have a lot of ideas about the direction of the season (and beyond), we at Superior Masters Productions were wondering if anyone had suggestions for what they'd like to see in a machinima. Our series is called Chimera Team Alpha and is a comedy adventure series following the post-war exploits of a Spartan-Elite team, usually exploring the mysterious Forge World. Our most recent episode (Episode 2: Point of View) can be found on our channel here: Our first episode (Episode 1: A Hard Place) can be found on the 343icommunity channel here: (Admittedly, Episode 2 is better and probably is the best one to see first.) Thanks, x Master Rob x
  11. Good day fellow members, "Tech Guru" Twinreaper here with an exciting announcement. As you may or may not know, I run from my house, a private server where I host games such as Halo PC Halo CE, Crysis etc... Now that we have finally gained quite a following here at 343i, I thought it was only fitting that I should strt up our very own private chat server for our members to come together in and actually talk via Teamspeak. For those who do not know, Teamspeak is a PC app, that allows you to host a private or public chat server in which people may enter and use mic's or keyboards to communicate. Teamspeak is very popular with certain PC games, as it allows team members to communicate better in games that do not have microphone or chat support. So why am I doing this? Easy.....I wanted to find an additional way to communicate wand contribute back to this great community. Along with this Teamspeak server, I will also be hosting 2 servers for Halo PC with the name "343i.org", for those of us in this community who wish to play the game that started it all, together. Now, I have the server all setup and ready to go, but I need a few days to finalize some admin settings and what not. Before i give out this teamspeak server address, I will be giving it out to those in the higher up so I can before hand, adjust security levels. While you guys are waiting for this, please go to http://www.Teamspeak.com and download the client app. Also if you do have, or ever hwanted to play the original PC Halo, now would be a good time to dust off that copy and re-install it. Look for more on this and an official launch post sometime on tuesday afternoon. Stay classy 343i!!
  12. So which are you more excited to see? Bungie's new game, or what 343 Industries will do with the new Halo trilogy? Discuss who you think will do a better job with their games, how you think they'll approach incorperationg certain things into their games, or who will do a better job. Post what you think below! God bless you, -@RANMAN10
