  1. This post has two purposes: One is to say that it is unfair that we lose out on double XP tokens for things out of our control, and the other is to say that matchmaking sticking you in partially completed games is a dumb idea. Ever since the day I heard that you can earn double XP, I've been searching stores for participating stocks of Dew and Doritos to buy them for the codes; a lot of the Dew that I bought was for the codes alone. Now, I hit my experience cap every day. I hate it, and it is stupid, and it makes me quit the game when I do, because I don't want to lose out on experience from commendations and challenges. I cap before I can even complete any weeklies! The first week, I lost double XP tokens to the now fixed bug where it deducted from your banked matches even after you capped. Today, I earned 5600 experience, and capped after just a handful of it. That's another one wasted. And the worst of all was when I was matched into a Big Team Slayer match that was 980 - 370, and the game ended in seconds. I got 123 XP total, and wasted another double XP token, which leads me into my next topic. None of these are my fault, yet my tokens were stolen from me. Those three alone are worth one product that I bought solely for the codes, and I feel I should be reimbursed. There's no way for me to get them back, and I paid money for them. Additionally, matching games in progress sounds good on paper, but it is a ridiculously unfair idea. The time where I got shafted by a game that was seconds from ending is just one example. Do you remember the day where there was a daily challenge to win 2 CTF matches? That took me five hours. Not because I suck, but because it kept putting me in games where we were already losing, often irrecoverably. It isn't fair to me, and I do not want to keep getting the short end of the stick. It takes a heavy toll on one's morale to keep being put in games where you have already lost, hour after hour. It's very frustrating, and it makes you want to quit. My experience is being ruined by the odds constantly being stacked against me, and by the system taking away the double XP that I bought and paid for. Why is there no meter for how close I am to the cap? I wished for that in Reach, and there still is none. So, I'm setting myself up for another "hit my cap right as I earn 10000xp worth of challenges".
  2. For the past several days I have been playing a wide range of multiplayer. From Infinity Team Slayer to Big Team, CTF to Dominion... every single time I have seen after game stats and medals. Even more so that sweet little xp bar, steadily watching it grow. I am aware of the xp limitations/cap (I have already hit this the previous day), but correct me if I am wrong. You would still see the after game stats, correct? I don't ever remember seeing a little notification saying "Congratulations! You have been capped!" or something along those lines. Find it strange that everything just decided to stop and not bother showing me anything. Was just wondering if anyone else was running into this issue, otherwise I might have to contact 343.
  3. Trying to trade my 199 double xp matches for the fotus armor, or "other stuff". message my Gamertag "MeatWood"

    Mountain DewXP?

So, I have about 40 games of Mountain DewXP and I add the XP to my gamertag and everything, it will notify me saying It has been added, but then I go and play a Game and I don't get the double XP this has happened about 15 times already. I already tried; -Switching the eMail on the account -Switching to a different DewXP account There is nothing else I could do, Can somebody please help me?
  5. I created an account here soley to put at least some kind of protest to this apparent credit cap. I bought a ton of Doritos getting ready for the 200 games of double xp. I finally get a night free after having class for 2 days after launch and play the crap out of the awesome new Regicide playlist. 6 hours later, after having completed a few campaign challenges and grinding out War Games, I lose the ability to earn credits. Lame as hell. Get to SR-30 and BAM! I have a precious 4 hours before I have to go to class again, and I'm not allowed to progress my rank. 343, you guys made an amazing game and the multiplayer is great. But please fix this credit restriction. At least create a better system that differentiates between boosters and grinders... because this sucks. Thx -Kinetic
  6. Hello 343, First off, great game. I think you guys did a fantastic job with Halo 4 in both the campaign and multiplayer. I just have a few concerns regarding the XP progression system. My main issue with the XP cap is not that it exists, but that if I earn commendations while capped, I lose out on that XP and can never get it again. This encourages me to just stop playing any multiplayer or spartan ops until I am no longer capped. A better solution in my opinion would be to keep the cap as it is, not allowing people to gain XP from completing/winning games, but still give XP whenever a commendation is completed. Not sure if this is a bug or was just an oversight, but it's annoying either way. There is also the bug where people using the double XP promotion are getting their double XP games used up even though they are at the XP cap. I know this has been noticed already, and thought it had been fixed, but the issue is still active as of yesterday (11/10/2012) and again encourages me to simply stop playing any kind of multiplayer until I am no longer XP capped. Secondly, Spartan Ops currently gives a good deal more XP than matchmaking games from what I've seen, so whenever I log in my friends and I only want to play Spartan Ops which, while awesome, isn't really as fun as actual multiplayer against other people when it's the only thing you are doing every day. I see two solutions here, one being lowering the XP of Spartan Ops which would be kind of lame, but acceptable I guess. The other would be to just increase the base XP gains from other forms of multiplayer matches to be more in-line with Spartan Ops. There is also the chance I don't know what I'm talking about here, because I haven't played that many non-spartan ops multiplayer games, but the ones I did play didn't give very much XP even when I got 1st place. Hopefully some people share my concerns, sorry for the wall of text. Thanks if you read it. - Nompire

    Double XP Cap

I've wasted countless amounts of Double XP because of there being an xp cap. The cap is so low when you get to higher levels that you can't level more than 3-4 times without not being able to get XP again. I want to play this game, but not be penalized for it. 343 has done a terrific job with Halo 4, but this XP cap makes me frown. People will play the crap out of this game; it's new, it's amazing, but those who play it a lot should not be penalized for doing so. We enjoy this game that 343 has made so much that we want to continue playing it for hours; there's no reason we should be limited for wanting to do so. I can't even play custom games to avoid wasting my double XP because it still counts towards it in there. :'( I just want to play and be able to acquire XP. Thoughts?
  9. Im not sure how to really contact the employees of 343 so i figured id start a thread, plus i was also wondering if anyone else had this issue. Ive now played three games and afterwards get put straight to the matchmaking screen, and dont get shwon my xp gained. So i press start to view my current XP and its the same as before i finished the game!
  10. I have 199 double xp matches that i am willing to trade for the "in game" fotus armor. Message my gamertag if im not on here =)
  11. So On release day i got to SR24 and got daily xp limit reached, and first thing was I was agravated, The next day after school i got to SR32 and got capped i have a total of 8-10 hours played (with Double XP) I beleive the limit is way too low for a halo game. And also I completed challenges after my daily limit and did not receive xp, I have atleast 16k of missing xp because of this I would love too see an updated with either the xp limit being doubled or challenges still giving you xp that doesnt add too your daily limit, but on top off it. Anyone agree?
