  1. Minecraft on the Xbox One gets a release date [uPDATE] The very popular game Minecraft has finally gotten a release date for the Xbox One. The game will be available for download on the Xbox One starting the 5th of September at a price of €19,99. Players who already own the game on the Xbox 360 can choose to upgrade their current game for the price of €4,99. If you rather want to get the game through a retailer you will have to wait untill somewhere near the end of the month when retailers start sell download codes. You can get the discount by showing them your Xbox 360 Minecraft disc. This upgraded Xbox One version will make your world up to 36 times bigger than the Xbox 360 version. Unlike the Xbox 360 version you will start off with the latest updates immediatly. Even downloadable content you purchased on the Xbox 360 will carry over to your Xbox One. You can either play with 3 other friends through split-screen or up to 7 others over Xbox Live. Owners of the Playstation 4 can play Minecraft starting today! (3rd of Sept) Both versions were due to release this August but encountered some delay which has caused it to release this week. UPDATE: So... Apparently the Minecraft Xbox One edition has come to the Xbox Store a day early. Only problem is that it's listed as 114,99 pounds... This is surely an error, but there's still the option to press 'Purchase now'. Nobody has been stupid enough to go through with it... Yet. Will you be getting Minecraft for the Xbox One or Playstation 4, and will you make use of your discount? Let us know down below! Thank you for reading! 2. Hello everyone, EK here, and I'm conducting a poll to see who's getting Destiny for what platform and when they're getting it. Please do participate, it's important cause I got nobody to play with on launch day :c Kbai.
  3. Bungie's next hit FPS Destiny will be available on the Xbox One market place for gamers to pre-load on their system before launch! Last week, Microsoft heralded in a new feature to the Xbox One with the launch of Madden 15, pre-loading. Pre-loading allows you to download the game to it's fullest on your system before launch and when launch hits, play it with no waiting hassle. IGN.com reports that Destiny will be the next game to receive this feature, and will be available to pre-load soon. A microsoft spokesperson commented, saying, "We’re thrilled to make Destiny available for pre-order and pre-download . . . this option was available for a short period of time before the official pre-order window opened. We’ll have more details to share soon about the pre-order and pre-download window for Destiny." So far no confirmed pre-load window as he says, but I'd expect it to be open around the launch weekend, September 5th, 6th, and 7th. So far this feature for Destiny has only been confirmed for the Xbox One, however I'd expect the PS4 to also receive the game for pre-load with an announcement coming soon. The game launches in just 2 weeks on September 9th. View attachment: 2-2x7wAIQ.jpg Are you going to pre-load Destiny, or is a physical copy a must for a game like Destiny? Discuss below! Thank you very much for reading everyone! View full article
  4. Hey 343i community, I was just browsing good ol' Youtube today when I found THIS surprising bit of news that yet reignites the demand to see Halo enter the PC world (again), in all of its glory. I sure hope it does, as it would save me from buying a new console just to play the games on an inferior system. How BA would this be? It would not be great marketing on Microsoft's part to release a PC version of the collection, at least at launch, but my God would it make a LOT of gamers happy. You guys think the hype is real?
  5. I'd like to start this off by saying while not a lot of you could consider this "news", this was requested by a few people to be covered and I think it should be seen and spread so that we can raise awareness of this horrible disease and help those struggling with it. Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft, has undertaken the ALS Ice Water Challenge! Now, before you ask, the ALS Ice Water Challenge is a chain-letter style challenge system where one person nominates three people and then proceeds to dunk ice cold water on his/herself. The three that person nominates have 24 hours to respond by doing the challenge or they have to donate $100 to ALS awareness, properly known as Lou Gerhig's disease. On Xbox's Phil Spencer not only undertook the challenge, but as well donated money to the organization. He nominated Valve's Gabe Newell, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida, and Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime, he himself was nominated by the well known Notch, creator of Minecraft. Sony responded and undertook the challenge themselves, nominating GameStop's head, Activision's head, and Sony Europe's exec. So far, Valve and Nintendo haven't responded (to my knowledge). View attachment: Untitled.png Now, I recommend everyone donates or tries the challenge but I'm going to conduct something myself. I myself undertook the challenge and I'll edit the video of it below, but I'd like to nominate some members to do it themselves or donate! I'd like to nominate Jack of Harts, Yoshi1176, and Stinky! You three have 24 hours to take the challenge and/or donate, but because I know some members have like to keep private, you don't have to record yourself doing the challenge. Feel free to nominate three other members once it is completed, and we'll try to raise some awareness for ALS! If you would however like to share the video of yourself doing it feel free to post it below. Thanks for reading everyone, and thanks for spreading awareness for ALS! Donate at ALSA.org. (Note: I know this is very unusual news to some people and may not be considered it, but I feel raising awareness is important. If a moderator feels this doesn't belong, go ahead and move it to the general discussion, I don't mind!) View full article
  6. Microsoft recently announced that unfortunately after the recent acquisition of Nokia, 18,000 employees will be fired and forced into unemployment within the next year, the majority in the Nokia department but some in the Xbox department as well. If you hadn't heard, Microsoft recently bought out and adopted the Nokia brand of phones and electronics for 72 Billion USD, and they will be laying off a large amount of employees, though the number wasn't expected to be this large. GameSpot.com reports that Microsoft has revealed that the number is right at 18,000 jobs being affected. About 13,000 of these are in Nokia, but the Xbox Marketing Team will also be affected heavily. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella did say that new jobs would be opened up, not stating how many, and that employees will be offered some basic assistance in finding new employment opportunities. This is the largest layoff event in the history of Microsoft, making about a 14% cut into the total amount of 100,000 or so employees. Investors surprisingly had a positive response in the first hours, however the stock quickly dropped soon after. More details will be made available soon, and I will update the article when we receive news. View attachment: X1.jpg Leave your response to the layoffs below, and what you think Microsoft should do specifically to help it's laid off employees. Thanks for reading guys, see you next time.

  14. I'm gonna throw this thread out there as a bit of a teaser as well as an invitation to anyone out there that still loves to play there daily Halo, but doesn't have many people left on their friend's list that plays Halo. I'm making a gaming community called "Project Ascension" with a strong emphasis on Halo. The community will deal work with our members to grow and expand for every type of gamer, from the casual Halo player, to the elite players. We are set up to have a war-simulation event (And no, not a LARP) in which all our participating members form into teams and work to gain domination of a risk type board, with each territory being represented by an actual in-game map. Alongside this, you can expect us to have a handful of gamenights each week ranging from any of the Halos, to other amazing multiplayer games. On top of the Campaign war simulations, and gamenights, we will also hold Tournaments, and days were we get together to simply work on achievements to help our members get that next step closer to 100% their games. Now that I'm done with the very rough explanation of what Project Ascension is, let me try provide some quick guidelines to the community: 1.) We don't have an age range, We have met plenty of 14 year olds that have it much more together than some guys and gals in college. We do however work to limit drama on the community to as small as we can. 2.) No, we do not require any changes to your gamertags, profiles, statuses, or anything like that. It's dumb, and a waste of your time to do it, and a waste of my time to even think of asking you to do it. 3.) We are an open community, if you are part of another community, we don't mind. We are just restarting and we understand that other larger communities have a lot to offer as well. We do appreciate monogamous members, but it's not like we are gonna chain you to the community. 4.) No, we don't demand that you attend every thing we do. We do appreciate members conveying that they wanna join an event, but unless you convey you want to join in, you don't need to feel pressure to join. Project Ascension already has pretty much everything we need to start up on a moment's notice, but due to our admins either being in college final's month, busy with a wedding around the corner, as well as other things in life demanding our attention, we won't be officially starting up for about a month and a half, late May to early June to help remove the chronological math from that. With all of that said, myself, and the other admins do find ourselves enough spare time to jump on our xbox often enough to forge some fun maps, do matchmaking, and keep up with anyone that wants to join with us for some fun times. If you feel like you wanna just jump on Halo and play with some decent guys feel free to send a friend request to gamertag: Salvanous.
  15. Hello and welcome! My name is Joseph, but you can call me Aardvark or Broseph. I am here to introduce a collection of Halo 4 gametypes that I think truly recapture that competitive Halo magic again, while at the same incorporating some of the new features from Halo 4 that were done right! Before we get into specifics about these gametypes, let's talk about how this gametype came to be and how I want it to become a new platform for the competitive Halo community! Back in the Halo: Reach days, I was starting to really get into competitive Halo. MLG and AGL matches were absolutely sensational in my eyes. I loved them. When V7 settings came around in Halo: Reach, however, I didn't really like them that much. Not sure what it was that I didn't like about these settings, but I certainly wasn't a fan of them. It didn't stop me from watching matches or playing the game, in fact it did something better. It inspired me to make my own competitive gametype. Eventually though, I wanted something more from that, I wanted my own competitive Halo platform, with official leagues and tournaments for competitive players to compete in! Thus, The Kingdom of Hell Pro League was born! ... it died pretty early on though. For a lot of reasons, one of the most prominent being that, as you can tell, that was just a horrible name. I was young and had no Idea what I was getting myself into. I made a website using webs.com because I don't know how to program and that website was a disaster as well. The idea behind the website though was perfect. Give competitors and the public easy and quick access to full career stats and season stats for each and every competitor. Not only that, but I made promises of footage for every single match in every single season, to be published on the website and to YouTube complete with an entire archive of past matches organized by players, teams, seasons and brackets. Still, the website was poorly built and ultimately the entire project got nowhere. On the plus side, though, my gametype and its compatible maps made by myself made it pretty far on the most downloaded list, which certainly shocked me! Still, KOHPL didn't last. When I realized KOHPL had failed, I had a determined attitude. "We'll try again!" , I said confidently. And try I did, in Halo 4! This time though my cousin and I actually put some thought into the name. In the end we decided on Competitive Console Gaming! We wanted something simple, that didn't lock us down to one game but also was straightforward enough for people to know what it was right away. So with the name CCG fresh in our minds we set off to make a new website and competitive community. Still working in Webs, the CCG website was a tremendous improvement to the KOHPL design. It looked almost Halo Waypointish with dark-blue and black colors and had a far better layout than the past design. This is where we started to get more likely to succeed and we could feel the rush of excitement we would get before the finals of an AGL tournament! I've been working on the CCG gametypes for a little over a year now. I in fact thought that I was finished at one point and saved my "final" gametypes as V1 gametypes. It was time to spread the word! But then the unthinkable happened... the Halo community seamed to just drop off the face of the Earth! I was as if everyone just stopped playing, and stopped looking for Halo related content. At first, this was scary. I thought, "We don't stand a chance now!" But I did some digging around the internet, and I found that clearly, people still wanted Halo. They were asking all the same questions as me. "What happened to all the Halo content?" "What happened to AGL?" I then realized that I should see this as an opportunity. I made it my mission to help bring back competitive Halo, but in a new form. So I got back to work. However, after going back and playing the gametypes with my friends and my play testers for a few months we said, "This needs more originality!" So I said screw it! I decided instead of focusing on the website, and thinking of how to get my platform out on the Halo scene, I would focus on finishing the platform. I took my time with the maps I was making for the gametypes, I spent hours of my time in the gametypes settings alone, just analyzing everything and putting pieces together. I spent SO many hours play testing my maps with these gametypes. Now, a year later, It has finally paid off! FINALLY, CCG Settings are a truly competitive, unique, and fresh Halo experience! But there is still work to be done. There are still things that need to be worked out. First and foremost, I need you lovely guys and girls! I need the Halo community! I know the mother of all gaming communities still exists, she just needs to be awoken! That is what I hope to do with Competitive Console Gaming! Now let's talk about what makes these gametypes unique! Before I tell you anything, I should tell you that I think that the one thing that was balanced in Halo 4's Infinity settings were the armor mods. The weapons were horribly unbalanced and made the whole thing a wreck. The Tactical Packages and Support upgrades though, are a different story. They instead let the players decide on one situation they want to have an advantage in. Everybody gets two, but these advantages are not pocket shotguns, mini-sniper rifles, or map destroying jet packs. These actually allow the player to play the game their way, while still providing a fair and balanced experience. Through manipulation of the Halo 4 gametype options, I have made a competitive gametype in which everyone spawns with a Battle Rifle, 2X Frag Grenades, no armor abilities, and in most cases no secondary, but players still can have the tactical package and support upgrade of their own choosing. This means a couple of things. If you are like me and abandoned your personal loadout editor a long time ago, time to open that baby back up again! But don't bother editing their armor abilities or grenades (actually feel free if you like wasting your time) and just focus on the two armor mods that best suit your play style! One of the coolest things that these gametypes bring to competitive play though, is weapon skins! While the gametype forces all players to spawn with BR's the game still recognizes the players' selected BR weapon skins, so if you are a competitive player who loves your weapons skins and is sad that they never get any use, now they can! Pro Tip: if you want to see a super secret weapon skin and have the Champion's Bundle weapon skins, use some of those nifty Assault Rifle skins in your loadouts and see what happens! Now onto the more basic stuff, in CCG game variants each player does 15% more damage. This means that each precision weapon's shots-to-kill has been reduced by one. Additionally, players' radars only show ally movement and their ranges have been increased by 40 meters. Two gametypes are exceptions, however, those two being FFA and Ricochet where the radar functions normally and reverts back to its normal range. Now onto the maps. Even back in the KOHPL days, I wanted to include maps from as many different forgers as I could into the mix, not just shipped maps and maps made by myself, so I have compiled multiple maps to be compatible with CCG settings and I am going to list them here for you right now! Keep in mind, the map pool may grow and these decisions are not final, however, it is most likely that if a map is on the following list it will make it into the final map pool. Here we go: Cryptic by Sgt x Slaphead Acidic by aardvark09j Cyclone by aardvark09j Status Bloom by aardvark09j Treetops by MockKnizzle008 Angst by IKorlash Splashes by SE7ENGINE Townsville by aardvark09j Simplex by Big Papa SaLot Stigma by Squally DaBeanz You will be able to find some of these maps on my file share, but in the future I will have Waypoint links to these maps so you can download them there. My gamertag is aardvark09j And there you go! Shout out to all of those VERY talented forgers who made those maps listed above. Now for the slightly lamer stuff here are the shipped maps that will be thrown into the mix: Abandon Adrift Haven Now I have a question for those of you who are interested in playing CCG in the future. If CCG gets big enough I plan to eventually start holding online tournaments and events and possibly official leagues in the future. My question is, if I were to do this, how many of you would be okay with certain DLC being required to participate? I know it may be a little bit early to ask that, but I want to know what you guys think. If DLC were required, only the Majestic Map Pack and Champion's Bundle maps would be required. Keep that in mind when typing your responses down below. Currently, a CCG prototype website is being built using webs.com, however this is just being used as a temporary test site to see what an official CCG website might look like. Until then, you can get any and all info regarding CCG including news updates and game nights, here on the forums, or you can follow CCG on Twitter @CCGOfficialT . Stay here and hang on, because I've got a lot more incoming So there you have it ladies and gents! CCG is a big endeavor for me and hopefully for the Halo community as a whole. If you are reading this post and you're on board, then please, spread the word. We all want Halo to make a return, but it's up to all of us to make it happen. In fact, let's make #HaloComeback a thing! Tweet about it, tell all of your friends, get excited, and let's start playing some Halo! aardvark out! Halo 4 Life
  16. An update with a plethora of new features will come to the Xbox One in June. EXTERNAL STORAGE SUPPORT With this update the Xbox One will be able to support up to two external hard drives at the same time. This will update allow the user to keep as much data as he desires on his external storage device, keeping the Xbox One's storage nice and clean. There will even be a one-step option to copy entire games to the storage device. Then whenever one needs to access this data on another Xbox, they will only have to sign in to their Xbox Live account and verify that they are indeed the owners of the content. REAL NAMES FOR FRIENDS The Xbox One allows the user to have an incredibly large number of friends-1,000 to be exact. With all these friends it can be hard to remember gamertags, which is why this June users will be able to find one another without the player's gamertag. They will be able to easily find friends using only their name. Every player will have full control of who views their real name, there will be options for sharing with all Friends, only specific friends, friends of friends, or no one. It is also important to note that no one in-game will be able to see players' real names. SMARTGLASS UPDATE Smartglass will be updated to contain all the features of OneGuide and support for Universal Remote Control. This will allow users to access all of their TV listings, channels, and App channels form their Smartglass device. Smartglass will also feature new ways of comparing stats with friends and the option of getting notifications when friends sign in or begin broadcasting a game- Just like being on the console itself. TV AND ONEGUIDE OPENING IN MORE PLACES In April specific members of Xbox Live were granted access to the features of TV and OneGuide. These features will now be available to Xbox Live members in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. To take advantage of this, members will only need to have an HDMI connection between the TV and XBox One. NEW BENEFITS FOR GOLD MEMBERS AND MORE Xbox Live Gold members will have access to a new hub containing Games With Gold and Deals With Gold. For more reading on June's Games With Gold Click Here. 17. Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer spoke to IGN at the Gamer Developers Conference about Halo 2 Anniversary and if they were to make it. During this talk Phil Spencer went through different things on what made the game a success and what would be important for an anniversary edition, if it were to happen. Quoting Phil from his interview with IGN he does talk about the multiplayer side of things a lot, he also may have hinted if Halo 2 Anniversary were to happen it would have multiplayer. "All the things that you and I know about the evolution of the franchise, if you’re going to say one thing about Halo 2, you’re going to talk about real multiplayer. I think you just have to nail that in just such a fundamentally core way. Frankly probably better than we did with Halo 1 Anniversary. I thought the multiplayer in Halo 1 Anniversary was good, but Halo 1 never had multiplayer in the truest sense, so it always was going to be something different." This was his final statement. "If there were something called Halo 2 Anniversary, I think the multiplayer would have to be fantastic." Keep in mind everything Phil Spencer said was all in a hypothetical sense. But despite that, did what he say seem to push the possibility of a Halo 2 Anniversary a little closer to a reality in your view? Microsoft has yet to confirm and also deny the rumor when if first surfaced 2 months ago. Source: IGN
  18. THE GOAL OF THIS EVENT IS FOR EVERYONE TO GET BETTER, (EVEN IF ONLY BY A LITTLE) HAVE A LITTLE FRIENDLY COMPETITION, AND REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN! =D -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone! =) It has been a while since I posted. After coming back to playing Halo: Reach after a 1-year video game absence, I was doing some thinking, and decided that I want to get better than I was, and take my game to another level (or just get better). I will be hosting a 1-week training program, all week, consisting of Slayer, matchmaking, and some custom games, as well as more serious game-types like Octagon, Team Snipers, etc. Basically anything and everything to get better. I already have 3-5 people who are interested, thus far. **Mics are recommended, but definitely not required. =) Also, I may do another training week, with a greater focus on custom-maps, (or I might straight-up host Reach Customs: we'll see) provided the 1st one is successful. 20. Hello guys, I again find myself with nothing to do and decided to make another review. Before I start I wanted to thank Total Mayhem for providing me with great feedback on my previous review. So...Let's get started. The Xbox One As you all might have noticed about a week ago I got my very own Xbox One. And I have never been so excited to go home from school and wait for a mailman! Once he delivered I rushed upstairs to plug it all in only to find out they gave me an english power cable (I live in the Netherlands so it is useless here)... Thank you local gamestore! My parents are still making fun of the face I made when I pulled the power cable out. Luckily I was able to 'borrow' the right cable from my 360 console. (Don't worry, My local gamestore was nice enough to still send me a power adapter for free) The console needed to apply some updates before I could play so I decided to take a look at... The controller. One of the first things I noticed was that it was almost as smooth as silk in my hands. And the removal of the battery pack at the back made it look less bulky. It fit like a glove. Then I noticed the changes to the analog sticks. They were a bit smaller and didn't have as much resistance as the xbox 360 controller. You need about 0 effort to push them around which makes it easier to react in shooters. The triggers have the same thing. Very little resistance on the pull. Only these are made larger and your fingers can kinda curl around them, which feels nice. The one thing that did bother me a bit were the bumpers. I don't know why but you have to press a lot harder in the inside parts of the bumpers than on the outside parts. Which makes it a bit more difficult to press for players with larger fingers. After the console did what needed to be done and I ran the setup. I was surprised about how the kinect recognized me and automaticly signed me in. So I decided to play around with the kinect for a bit. The Kinect I have never used a kinect on the 360 so this thing is kinda new to me. After walking through a tutorial on how to use it. I tried some of the gesture commands. My room isn't the recommended size but I can still use the gesture commands to go around the dashboard. The commands are not hard to memorize which is a plus aswell. The only problem I've encountered so far is to 'push' buttons or tabs that are in the lower areas of the screen. But I think that is because I too close to the sensor. Then I tried to use voice commands. Whilst my Xbox One was set to Irish. Needless to say It didn't work because it didn't recognize my dutch accent. Even telling it to "Tern yerself on ya bloody -Yoink!-, I'll reward ya with a good 'ol scotch" didn't work. After changing it to the US it worked a lot better. The only times it doesn't work now is if I try to put in commands that don't exsist. I so far really don't get how people are complaining about how it doesn't work. Even with a heavy Dutch accent I'm able to put in voice commands 99% of the time. Overall a very nice adition to the console Now onto the... Dashboard The Dashboard is very familiar to the xbox 360 dashboard. Only now the 'Home' page is all yours. No more ads. It only displays the stuff that is yours. (The ads you see to the left are from the 'Store' section) You have quick acces to eveything you are playing or have recently played. With the Home button on your controller, the gesture command or the voice commands you can easily switch between games and apps without needing to shut one of them down. So while your game is loading or installing you can watch some youtube video's to kill the time. Very nice feature. The lesser amount of tabs makes it easier to move through the dashboard but I found myself wondering where I could acces my xbox settings and or storage. Now onto my conclusion because this post is getting rather long. Overall the Xbox One is a very good console. It has it's minor flaws here and there but hey... nothing is perfect. Is it worth the €600,-? That remains a question for yourself to answer. In my opinion is is a bit at a high price. But I still think it was totally worth it. Thanks for reading through this and please leave some comments and or tips. Have a nice day!

  22. Source: IGN View full article
  23. While the rumor mill has been turning for this past couple days with a wealth of news concerning the future of the Halo series, it was able to be confirmed today that the leaker of the wealth of information, nktrnl, indeed has connections to Microsoft. Microsoft is currently searching for who holds ownership or usage of the nktrnl but it can be assured that Microsoft is currently looking to take legal action against them. Just because the Halo 2 Anniversary rumor is now a confirmation, this does not mean that the other items listed below are actually true: Titanfall XBox One White XBox One 1 TB XBox One $399 XBox One w/o a disk drive Crackdown 3 Titanfall DLC schedule (45 days from launch and then another 120 days from launch You can rest assured that the upcoming Halo 2 Anniversary Edition will include its own multiplayer component also.
  24. Titanfall... Only a short time away. Yet with the beta out in public for the last several weeks, we get an insider look at what may become the next hit series in gaming. Gameplay appearing and mentioned as CoD-like in mechanics, with the addition of "Titans", mechs if you will, utilized by players when earned to combat the opposing team's artillery and tactics. As of late, many, many people praise the title, seeing at as a revolutionary game, and a tad different than what we are used to, especially those who anticipate it to kill the Call of Duty franchise in its rise through the ranks of numerous other names in gaming... Though it is highly unlikely. Few bugs may exist in game, but aside from that, the controls and gameplay is flawless, very enjoyable as I hear people dub it as "the most fun they've had in a long time". Titanfall 2 may come to the PS4 console. PS3 will never see the time of day. Sony attempted to claim right to the Titanfall series but failed. Titanfall is a Microsoft exclusive whereas they are trying to procure exclusive DLC for Xbox one. Sony has spoken up clarifying that there hardware has a significant advantage over the Xbox One system, as the game quality shows a performance gap between the would be Titanfall on the PS4 as compared to Xbox One. The performance gap rivals that of Call of Duty: Ghost on both consoles. Here is a source showing the performance gap between the consoles for CoD:Ghosts- http://www.hardwarepal.com/cod-ghosts-runs-720p-xbox-one/ It’s important to notice that this isn’t a hardware performance differentiation but more of a compatibility optimization. While Titanfall will be adding monster dlc sometime soon we shouldn’t expect more titans. Apparently, balancing titan’s abilities proves to be a difficult task. If they care so much about balance I wonder what other aspect of the game have been given such loving care. For now all we get in the way of monster is some sort of huge brachiosaurus lingering in the background. I think I’ll name it ‘Fred’. Here is a recent link: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/14/titanfall-dev-talks-new-titans-narrative-and-monster-dlc I think Titanfall will live up to expectations. It just remains to be seen how long it will hold it’s appeal. I want it to succeed. Because, I think it is such a unique game. Credit: Delpen9, Sparky, Fox McCloud
  25. Please read until end! A while back (roughly 2 years), Xbox decided to take a FLOWER on me... again... and I had enough with Microsoft's FLOWERS. So, the reason I'm writing this is because last night, I was playing BO2 Zombies Survival on Town with 3 of my buddies and it was round 32 (PS3). Long story short, I wasted 4 hours of my life doing pretty much nothing because COD BO2 servers said, "Ehh FLOWER you", and lagged us all out (like they always do. Am I wrong?). Anyways, not only did the rounds not count towards leaderboards, but nothing at all counted. Kills, rank, headshots... nothing. So, I said to my buddies, "FLOWER this game I had enough". And it made me think of how Xbox had screwed me over. First off, there's so many reasons that Xbox sucks that I literally would feel bad for making you read all of them. It would take way too long! so I'll get down to the end, when I finally decided I had enough. It happened in one day. I turn on the console (my Xbox 360) and the boot screen is taking forever. After about 5-10 minutes, it finally goes to Xbox home. I start up Halo Reach, go to forge, and boom... no maps anywhere. I'm saying "WTF is going on", and realize, that the Xbox 360's Hard drive has been corrupted! YAY!!!!! So all my maps I've forged, months upon months of work...gone! Another incident after that was Halo Anniversary. I'm playing with my good friend through the whole campaign on Legendary. And on the last level, my hard drive corrupts again! I figure, ah no big deal, but boy was I wrong. When we both completed the last level, guess what! No achievements for Legendary completion. YAY!!!!! That's when I called Xbox customer support. Long story short, I wondered if i could get my hard drive fixed/replaced free... NOPE. They wanted ME to pay for their faulty hardware! (which was about $50-$60 dollars). YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!! I lost ALL my game saves, for example, Burnout paradise... I had to re-download, and restart... and they want me to pay for that! Pssh. So that's when I switched over to PS3, and guess what? I've had not 1 itty bitty problem with it. Thank you Sony! Let me know what you think, and if you read this whole thing, Thanks! P.S. The woman I talked to on Xbox customer supported actually stated, "Oh yeah, Our hard drives break all the time, just buy a new one"! To which, no joke, i asked, "How much is a PS3"? lol
