  1. 4 Team SWAT CTF This game is a highly competitive, fast paced version of capture the flag. The map is completely symmetrical and in the shape of a large square. There are 4 teams of 2-4 and each team spawns on one side of the square. From there they can attack any other flag or defend their own. All guns are one hit kill headshots and the respawn is relatively slow. This leads to a very fast paced, all out attack style game. Played with a full lobby of 16 competitively it is an absolute blast. The gametype can be found here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/5628c35f-e525-428b-9c3d-73cbbd85ba2e and the map can be found here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/xander%20de%20gr8/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=c8d2931c-1598-47ea-beaf-93f98aeaaa40 The attached pictures give a good overview of the general layout of the map. If you ever want to play or talk to me about it. XBL GT: xander de gr8 I would love feedback, too! Thanks for taking a look!
  2. To: 343 Hello, I am sick and tired of having a new TERRIBLE update every week. I am one of the top swat players. There ARE MANY top swat players (laugh if you want, but I say only laugh if you beat us ^.^), who absolutely HATE all of your updates and truly believe you are ruining the game for the Good kids. I understand you did "fine tuning" etc, but you brought in Pro SLAYER kids, who gave advice based off of SLAYER game type. Meaning, they like more boxes so they can run and hide behind things to reload or get their shield back, etc. In swat, the LAST thing we need are more boxes so Bad kids can CAMP behind. Last but not least... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASSSSEEEEE DO NOT ADD THE COVENANT/FORERUNNER gametypes in SWAT playlist It is REALLY messing it up, and feels Nothing like SWAT. From: jezzzzka, and all the top swat kids.
  3. Alright 343, first things first, I think halo 4 rocks. And that's from someone who was very skeptical before playing. The only problem I have is the map sizes, they're all huge! Don't get me wrong, most are great for big team, and there are a few exceptions (haven, abandon to a degree) but overall the maps are way too big for 4v4. I'm a big swat fan and all we really need is two or three simple, uncluttered, concise maps like haven. There's no way that I'm the only one who thinks this too, I've only once seen haven come up as an option and not seen it selected. Maybe I'm wrong, throw in a reply if you agree or disagree. Anyway, overall good job, but some simple small maps would be greatly appreciated.
  4. gamertag: KIAxDARKELEMENT map name : Spark of Unicron http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/5265fb9b-f6a5-44c9-ad28-ad22cf09445f Gametype : 16 player 8 teams of 2 swat (just swat with more people and more teams no dowload requiered) also suports big team infinity slayer, team snipers, KOTH, Flood,CTF Discription:{holds16 players}inspired by transformers this is a 4 way symetrical large map with lots of wide open space but at the same time there are lots of sight blockers in the center of this map is a large monolith that crutial to gameplay but isnt completely defendable so gameplay is fun and not onesided it makes a great map for clan battles and i used all 10000 credits to make it took a toatal of 22 hrs to make because i was trying to spend every last cred without messing up symetry
  5. FDS stands for Fatal Death Squad. Formed in 2007 after the release of Halo 2, FDS continues to strive forward with it's message of gaming with honor and integrity. This is what drew me to FDS. It's a community where you can login, go to the community gamertag & see who's playing. Join a friend or rally some members for a round of SWAT or a match on Slayer!! FDS has the goal of creating a safe haven for like-minded gamers regardless of gender, race, national origin, religion, marital status, or disability. However you must be 16 or older to join. We believe that all gamers should have a place to play where they won’t have to put up with any type of drama or problems and be free to enjoy the game to its full extent. In the FDS Community we do recognize player skill; however, we believe that gaming is more about having fun and enjoying the game with friends. FDS has both casual and competitive gamers that actively participate in our community. Keeping that in mind, there is always a place for anyone looking to join. You don't have to change your gamertag but we do ask that you change & remain in uniform colors. Our main reasoning behind this is recognition. Your teammates & other community members are easier to identify in the heat of battle!! You are not required to maintain a positive kill/death ratio. There are plenty of members that you can speak with if you'd like some tips or advice. Please message me anytime with questions, if you wanna hook up for a round online or if you're interested in joining. It's a great community of boys & girls, just looking for some like minded gamers to have fun with. We have a saying, "No tea bagging unless you were tea bagged first." Thanks for reading! Game on! Btw, we are looking for people interested in starting a forge team. If you think you might be interested, hit me up!
  6. I used to love playing SWAT. The satisfaction of a single shot headshot with the DMR never got old! In the days of Reach it was the only game mode I ever really played, so I was over the moon when 343 introduced it to Halo 4. However with the Battle rifle being sprayed around by other players I quickly got bored and frustrated (oh so many rage quits). SWAT is/was/should be all about the single shot DMR. I'd like to think I'm not the only one with this opinion!!
  7. Sword Base is one of those maps that people seem to either love, or hate with a fiery passion. I would put myself in the former category. I personally have very fond memories of Swat (and even Infection) on Sword Base. Did the combat seem to centralize in one corner of the map? Yes. But just because everybody else is there doesn't mean you can't pull a roundabout tactic to catch them off guard! You could call a typical match on Sword Base one of "Occupy and Defend", which for some like myself can be quite a lot of fun! A word of advice: If you know their in the "lift room", for heaven's sake, don't go up the lift. Gamertag: KarmaPolice07 Map Name: Claymore Gametypes: Currenly only Team Slayer/Swat (up to 5v5) and FFA (Also: Fruity & Frosted) Description: Version 1.5 "After proving its resilience on Reach, this design has been used for several ONI bases across the known galaxy." Claymore is a painstakingly orchestrated re-creation of Halo: Reach Sword Base. On November 8th, 2012 I started this project by taking a few specific measurements in the original Sword Base using Hill Markers. I chose Hill Markers because they have invisible boundaries that can be manipulated in the same measurement scale and degrees as all forgable objects. With this data I began construction in Halo 4 and chose to make estimations and extrapolations to finish construction. Over the past few months I have made tweeks and adjustments to this map for the sake of accuracy and efficient use of Forge budget. I even broke the lighting engine at one point! I was able to resolve the issue and lighting now works properly. In this process I have continued to examine the original map to ensure the closest possible accuracy in recreation. I have now reached a point where I am prepared to display Claymore for public access and feedback. This is Version 1.5 - What I consider to be the beta. The map is complete in its basic form. All structure pieces are in place as well as all requirements for Slayer gametypes. However, there are areas that are still not up to par in terms of closest accuracy. These are listed below, under the heading "Known Issues & Future Updates". Weapons: At the time of this writing, weapons and their placement on the map are identical to Reach with the appropriate substitutions (Needle Rifle is now Carbine, Plasma Repeater is now Storm Rifle, Grenade Launcher now Sticky Detonator). However, because of the differences in the way some weapons perform (*cough*NEEDLER) I will be reorganizing the weapon placements and possibly the selection of weapons in a future version. Gametype details: -10 player maximum -Red and Blue team Spawns for up to 5v5 -FFA spawns throughout the map Known Issues & Future Updates: -Most notably, the glass floor in the top "red" room is now opaque. All glass options I've attempted so far have a negative effect player mobility. -The room with the Sword is a little out of scale -Lower right side room (the one on the same level as the bottom of the yellow lift, where there's a "briefing" area) is in need of reconstruction and is currently the least accurate room in the building. -Gametypes I plan to add in the future are: KotH, Oddball, & Flood Because of real life I am only able to work on improving this map about once a week. My top priority in this project is accuracy in construction. I welcome and greatly appreciate any and all feedback you can offer! See you on Infinity!
  8. Hi Guys, I am aware this may not be one of the best places to do it but I just want some feedback on my map Omission. This is the first truly quality map that I have made on Halo 4, I spent hours on it. Made a few on Reach but none of my friends are really Forgers so they were somewhat undermined. I have some friends that really love it, it is designed for Halo 4 matchmaking and I can honestly say you will not be disappointed if you decide to take a look. I'm really looking for feedback and ideas to make the map better, so even if a few could download it it would really be appreciated. Name: Omission Game-types: Slayer, SWAT, CTF and KOTH Best with: As many players possible. Description: Symmetrical map set on a UNSC research base/laboratory that studies planetary rocks. Has some very cool aesthetics and play aspects to it, plenty of cover and a huge tactical element to it. Gamertag: xTheGreyWolfx Hope you guys enjoy
  9. Halo 4 for the Xbox 360 was only released just this week and 343 Industries announced Friday a playlist update coming next week. While Halo: Reach enjoyed monthly playlist updates, 343 Industries plans weekly updates for Halo 4. "We will maintain a static set of playlists and feature one or two “rotational” playlists on top of that," community manager Jessica Shea wrote on Halo Waypoint. "We will be monitoring trends and statistics closely so we can react accordingly to your preferences and likes. For instance, if one of our rotational playlists consistently holds a higher population than one of our static playlists, we will consider swapping them out based on player demand. The process will be fluid and based on numbers, and we’re extremely excited about the benefits of our new approach." So what is coming with the first playlist update? SWAT with some changes to both weapon damage and the HUD. Players will be equipped with Battle Rifles, DMRs and Magnums, have no shield or radar tracking, and will not be able to use ordnance drops in this game mode. Here is how 343 Industries tweaked the three weapons for SWAT. DMR – 3 bullets to the chest, 1 bullet to the head Magnum – 3 bullets to the chest, 1 bullet to the head BR – 7 bullets to the chest (this gun shoots three bullets in a burst, so the first bullet of the third burst will kill the player), 1 bullet to the head Here are the maps that will be available in the SWAT playlist. 14. I have been playing swat since the day it was released and I truly feel that the map complex should be removed from the playlist as it's too big for a Swat map and has far to many wide open spaces which a DMR destroys .. As far as I can see all the map complex encourages is Camping in this playlist as everyone seems to scared to move in case they have their head blown off. Or you could be a player like me who is willing to go out and about in the map but then just get picked off by the campers who are to scared to move . Now complex is personally one of my favorite maps but IMO it just doesn't work in this play list. ..... Feel Free to discuss ... Also I would like to know what maps you would like to see remade and your reason behind it. I would like to see The pit remade for the old school capture the flag games. I would also like to see Guardian for FFA and Swat ...

    SWAT

I just played a solid hour of swat and that was probably the most terrible game mode I have ever played in Halo 4. I even did well and still didn't enjoy it. The whole point of swat is that there are no shields and its a fast paced game on a small map. Your Swat maps are way to large and that just encourages camping. Then I feel like im just going around killing campers. Makes me feel like I'm playing COD. Please for the love of God change your Swat maps.
  17. There is clearly a lack of game-types in halo 4 here you can discuss the game-types they should bring back. Two of those would be swat and grifball which they are adding.
  18. Just got on Halo 4 for a few games of Swat and I have to say thus far I am loving the feeling of playing this playlist again with the weapon it was designed to be played with (BR).. I have only have about 10 game so far and have been enjoying the majority only one problem I have come across so far is the campers but hopefully they will soon realize that camping in Swat is not how to go about winning the game.. I would like to hear peoples views on this new playlist and any other playlists they would like to see added in the future to Halo 4.. I myself would love it if the bring in Team Snipers MLG and Lonewolves ..

    Team SWAT

Hey, 343i. When do you plan on adding Team SWAT? It's killing me that I'm basically being forced to play Infinity Slayer & Big Team Infinity Slayer all the time!
  20. When I was online, playing Match Making in War Games, I noticed that the majority of the players under the rank of SR-15 are using the Battle Rifle. No doubt that they don't know how to save spartan points or choose good weapons. The Battle Rifle has a magazine of 36 bullets, and fires in bursts of three bullets, allowing it to shoot 12 times. It is overpowered in my eyes, and if feels like I only hear two shots being fired per burst. The newbies that are using the Battle Rifle really think that the Battle Rifle is a middle to long ranged weapon, where as in reality, it is a short to medium ranged weapon. I seriously don't see why so many people want to use a weapon that doesn't even resemble the Battle Rifle I used in Halo 2 and Halo 3, rather than using the DMR, which we are familiar with in Halo: Reach. Halo 2's Battle Rifle in comparison to Halo 4's Battle Rifle Halo 3's Battle Rifle in comparison to Halo 4's Battle Rifle Notice how the angle shape on the top is too elevated? It looks like a FAMAS from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Notice how similiar they look? Once again, my point is valid.
  21. So i got the halo4 game... AND NO SWAT??? Out of everything all i really wanted to play was swat and no Or am i wrong?? is it somewhere else?? help!
  22. Halo 4 Has Everyones Favorite One Shot To the Head Gametype. IGN took a behind the sense look at multiple different game modes one of them being SWAT! 23. Hello. I am SeanM666 i have decided to form a new clan dedicated to Swat on halo reach. I am interested in meeting players who just want to play swat for fun. If you decide that The O is right for you msg me on xboxlive gamer tag is same as on here. this clan how ever is not like most which want you to add their clan name to your gamertag or service tag you are unique so why should you be branded with something as pointless as that. as long as you list that you are part of The O on your profile that will be fine. this is a new clan idea that i have decided to put together. first off im looking only for 3 other players at this time. 2nd down the road i plan on having those three recruit so that each member has their own squad. an that will continue on and on so that more players have their own squad an others who will be available to play with. Remember communication is key in good team work if that is not established that team will falter.3rd if you are a custom game fanatic we also will have a group dedicated to ensuring maps that will be well suited for swat. i will also lead that part of the organization for i enjoy making swat maps of my own.(laughs inside i enjoy makin any kind of map really) try outs will be held on 9/21/12 why on a friday? because this gives me time to do a small tournament to pits the most formidable foes against each other over the weekend thus narrowing it down to the top 3 skilled players who will be apart of the foundation of The O. this way i will have my 3 members an afterwards they can go out and recruit their members when i am not available. The O's motto? hmm good question i am going to hold a contest for that after i get 3 more founding members for now The O's motto is simply "never dwell on the past nor look toward the future live in the now or you will surely miss whats in front of you." SeanM666 also note if you are not picked because you got eliminated from the tournament do not be discouraged for you will still be a valuable key to The O's foundation. If of course you feel like you still wish to be apart of The Organization. So as of this moment i am officially the founding member of The O. And from this point on I will be waiting to hear from anyone and everyone who wish to join. I thank you for your time. i look forward to seeing you all on the battlefield.
  24. Hey I was looking to find a SWAT clan because it is my favourite Game Type by far and i'm fairly good at it.
  25. It's come to my attention that there are a couple of playlists that used to have far more players than they do now. Those playlists are Team Swat and Team Snipers. The main reason for this is because playing on the same maps over and over again gets old pretty quickly. The lack of maps in both playlists is annoying to say the least. Another reason is that the credit jackpots and challenges are geared toward the larger playlists (which is pretty ironic given that Swat is a pretty large playlist). The following is all in my own opinion. Updates that should happen for Swat: 1. New maps. There are quite a few maps in Team Slayer and BTB (ikr) that would be great for Swat. While adding new maps to Swat, it should be remembered that in Swat symmetry is a good thing. You can learn a lot from maps that players have forged as to what would be good in Swat and what wouldn't be (most maps designed with Swat in mind are perfectly symmetrical). It wouldn't even be hard to add Team Slayer or BTB maps to Swat. There is no need to edit them because if Slayer works, then so does Swat. Adding maps is the critical update that is needed. 2. A possible ZB option. Most Swat veterans are of the opinion that Swat would be even more amazing with Zero Bloom. It shouldn't be permanently switched to ZB, mind you, but the option to play Swat on ZB should be there. It would make Swat a little more difficult, but Swat isn't exactly considered an "easy" playlist like Slayer, BTB, or Objective. Another argument that supports this is that Swat is supposed to be based off of a players aim rather than how fast they can spam a trigger. 3. A Super Jackpot. As far as I know, Swat has never had a Super Jackpot before. Which seems rather unfair considering that nearly every other playlist has. Even Infection. A SJ would bring more players into the playlist, which would give veteran players new people to play with. It will also encourage other players to at least try it out a bit to see if they like it. Updates that should happen for Snipers: 1. New maps. DEFINITELY new maps. There are nearly a dozen maps that should be in Snipers that aren't due to either oversight or laziness. ALL BTB maps work with Team Snipers, ALL slayer maps work with Snipers, and all MLG maps work with Snipers. The only excuse for the lack of maps in Snipers is "We haven't gotten around to it yet." If more maps came into Snipers, the size of the playlist would probably double by the end of the week. 2. More Daily and Weekly Challenges. There are no daily or weekly challenges that I know of that are especially attuned to Snipers. There are some for Swat (magnum kills can happen in other playlists of course, but it's obvious that Swat Magnums is the quickest way to get the challenge) so why not for Snipers? 3. Raised Game Time. There are a lot of Snipers games that aren't completed due to lack of time in game, especially on larger maps like Hemorrhage. Another couple of minutes should see these games through to completion. 4. Super Jackpot. It will do the same thing for Swat as it will for Snipers. More people playing = more fun. 5. Either update or remove Hemorrhage. The spawns are Red heavy (means it gives red a little advantage over blue. Yeah, you know it does don't lie.) Spawns at half-map or in the bases (rather than around the base in plain view) will go a long way in making it more entertaining to play on Hemorrhage. That's all I can think of for now. If you have any more, feel free to post them.
