  1. As a child of the late 90's and early 2000's, Halo: CE struck me with its groundbreaking technology and story as my childhood was ending and served to really get me into gaming and arguably resulted in my love for science fiction and realism. As the years went by, Halo evolved and grew better. With Halo 2 came another batch of great memories and gameplay that would serve as a gaming benchmark for the entire developer industry, it kept the story that was Halo extremely fresh and really served to shake up my conception of what Halo was. It went from being a story about Humanity on the brink of extinction with a few heroes struggling against overwhelming odds to being a story about intrigue and characters with distinct and extremely memorable personalities. These were, to me, the golden days of the Halo Universe. More time passed before Halo 3 would come along, but this game, to me, didn't give me the satisfaction that Halo:CE and Halo 2 had. I was then, about 15, and had come to expect Halo to be a game that would never grow old or boring, but something about Halo 3 just didn't sit right with me. Its single player was decent, not a bad story, had some new aspects and had a fairly good conclusion... but it took me a few days to figure out what was wrong. The game wasn't great... it was just ok. Meh. Decent. Average. This wasn't the Halo I remembered, this was a story that was supposed to be epic but it just felt totally meh to me. Humanity felt like a self-imposed underdog, I never saw any defeats or costly battles that had plagued the Halo Universe like I was expecting to. I just felt overpowered, the story felt unnatural, just like it was originally supposed to be epic by picking up Halo 2's end and tying up the story of the MC with a satisfying final battle. Instead I got a graphics heavy, meh story game that transferred that supposed last epic fight to some random part of the galaxy at the bequest of a giant friggen portal that randomly pops up the middle of East Africa. Then, Johnson and M. Keyes, characters I'd come to really like, just randomly throw their lives away, giving another whiff of a forced story plot that didn't sit right with me. But I overlooked my disagreements with Halo 3, its multiplayer was great and made up for my feelings about the story as I got sucked into Oddball games and Gravity Hammer fights over bombs like they were heroine. I looked forward for a game to redeem Halo 3's meh story. I'm not going to stay much about ODST other than I didn't care much for it, story-wise it was good, gameplay felt stupid, decent multiplayer. It was another Average game, again, meh. Halo Wars, no... just not going to say much about it. I had high hopes, and they were not satisfied. Nothing about this game struck me as good, a majority of it felt bland or downright below average in quality. Nothing else can describe it other than disappointing. Halo 4 came around with groundbreaking graphics and cinematics that made me double take over whether they were live action or actually animated. Story-wise, I'll give it props for originality and pacing... atleast at the start of it. As the game went on, I enjoyed the scenery and the new enemies and guns and what not. But this... this... love story between Cortana and the MC just gave me this recurring thought of "Oh my god, why should I care?". Sure, the story of the MC and Cortana is closely intertwined and they're really hard to not imagine together. But come on, she's a friggen AI, when I first saw Cortana in Halo: CE the relationship between the MC and her felt natural as in the same way it is natural to carry high value goods in reinforced containers... so I didn't think anything of her at first other than a temporary side character the MC is forced to deal with. Now she somehow came to represent his humanity? How does that story plot device even fit into the character of the MC, short answer, it doesn't! Since when was the MC treated as a human, in his story set out in the books, he's already friggen lost any since of humanity after the UNSC transformed him into a piece of military hardware. For Christ's sake, he's been trained since he was like, what, 7 or so, to be a killing machine without feelings. The closest thing he had to a mother is Halsey. Halo 4 furthermore made me fell like MC was being dragged through a story in the same way a dead animal is dragged from a redneck's truck. It didn't feel natural it felt in many ways forced... as if the story writers were trying to pander to people who cant get a story unless the protagonist has someone he/she gets a stiffie for. Why? Why was this stupidly melodramatic lovestory in there; furthermore when was Halo ever about exploring the emotional status of a killing machine? Never! Absolutely friggen never. I DO NOT CARE IN THE LEAST. What's even more ridiculous is the fact that by trying to portray the MC's emotional status, they attempted to explore the emotional status of a blank slate that would make John Locke crap himself... Ok, now that's out of the way, Halo 4 had a decent story when it wasn't trying to make the MC pull a butthurt/romantic personality out of his bottom. But the Forerunner crap got old fast, sure they're interesting side characters and I love how they serve as a mysterious relics of a forgotten age. But trying to revive them into this living force that is an actual threat to humanity felt unnaturally lame. It felt like someone was scrapping the plot device barrel for whatever scraps remained for new enemy types. At most they should be a few working machines waiting for their masters' return, not massive armies stuffed away in convenient places of the galaxy for us to stumble upon like a kid stepping on a sleeping cat... they're dead and should stay that way. For Christ's sake, if you need to make new enemies, you have the Flood and an infinite vacuum of space and time to tinker with. In fact, I feel like the Flood is an under utilized enemy in the Halo Universe (which I know is grounded in good reason). But let's save this conversation for Halo 5, I'm done talking about the meh that was Halo 4. Now we're in the present... and Halo 5 is around the corner. Does it look promising to me so far? Not really... from what I can see from the trailers I've seen, the developers still feel it necessary to drag the MC through yet another story which again to me feels absurd and forced. I really wish, oh how I wish 343 would just let the MC sit back and take a friggen break. The guy's how old now? Like almost 40, may mid-30's? HE'S OLD. Let him die peacefully instead of piledriving him into another story he doesn't need to be in! We have a fully fledged, new generation of Spartans to play with and we're stuck with the MC getting forced to some dumb story in which he apparently goes rogue to save an already dead Cortana?! I might be wrong and tell me if I am, but that story makes absolutely no damn sense. I mean come on guys... really? REALLY?! From what I understand about Halo 5's story, it doesn't correlate at all with the previous Halo precedents. Why would a blank slate, emotionless, completely indoctrinated since the age of 7 killing machine go rogue to save a piece of hardware/software? Why would he even give a damn... sure, they've been partners for a long time in the MC's story, but why would he give up the life he'd known, trained for, and become accustomed to (as in, being a part of the UNSC) for years just so he can have an AI that he basically had a stiffie for because of a forced romance. It's just down right dumb... honestly, I'm sorry, but I've been a hardcore Halo fan for years and this might be the first time I refuse to buy one of the games. I'm not going to pay $60 USD to get what would really only be good in a multiplayer aspect (because it doesn't matter how dumb a story is to MP games, if you could make a MP game about monkey's throwing turds it'd probably be enjoyable), If I wanted another COD or BF game I'd buy one... this is not what Halo is or should be. I'd give my ideas for a new game but I'm honestly tired of typing. I'll probably type up what I want to see in a Halo game in another post but that'd take up a lot of space and time.

  4. Ok, whilst I am busy, I will post on here another plot line I was thinking about for the next halo installments. As they have yet to announce what the story will be, I am continuously day dreaming about different stories, so I figured I would post another. It involves Cortana and some previously mentioned/ already considered plot derivatives. I will post a full version later tonight.
  5. How do Cortana and the Chief know that the Forerunner they meet is in fact the Didact? Maybe I missed it but Cortana seems to just pluck the name out of the air, and then everyone (even the Librarian, with whom they've had no contact) refers to him as such for the rest of the game. It seems as though there's no canonical way for them to know that this guy is the Didact until the meet the Librarian and she lays it out for them Their in-game logic seems to be "I read about a Forerunner called the Didact once, I just met a Forerunner, therefore that Forerunner is the Didact" - no dice, this doesn't work
  6. My hopes for Halo's story, as it would make for some epic FPS missions and one of the greatest science fiction stories ever made. What is known: FORERUNNER --the Didact is for certain the Ur-Didact --the Librarian is dead - Chant-to-Green took her place as Lifeshaper --the Iso-Didact was still alive after the firing of the Halos (Bornstellar) --343 Guilty Spark was Chakas --there was a forerunner colony in another galaxy far from the reaches of the Halos (the most probable place the forerunners fled too after reseeding the galaxy) --that 6 of the original 7 Halos remain (from the Lesser Ark) --that a city of nearly 2 million people had been composed (end of Halo 4) --the Ur-Didact's interest in Cortana (...."this evolved ancilla") HUMAN --Master Chief was/is the only Spartan 2 left alive --humanity has begun cataloging all the halos and forerunner artifacts in their galaxy --humanity has also begun to integrate their technology with forerunner technology --Dr. Halsey was kidnapped by the Storm Covenant, obtained the Janus Key. The key was split in two: half was kept by Dr. Halsey, the other was given to Spartan Gabriel Thorne --Cortana supposedly died/ended service after the destruction of the Ur-Didact's ship --Cortana was created/found by Dr. Halsey on Reach, in an ancient forerunner complex, housing a crystal FLOOD --even a single flood spore can house the memories and intellect of every flood being before it --originated from powdered Precursors --used as an act of vengeance upon the forerunner race --no cure - even though it is eluded that humanity had a cure, this was later discredited when it was revealed that the flood had simply receeded from human space, not infecting them --supposedly destroyed at the end of Halo 3 COVENANT --Arbiter has returned to rebuild his home world --Storm Covenant was/is a covenant fleet sent to Requiem after being founded in 2553 after Halo 3 --now in the possession of Dr. Halsey and part of the Janus Key MY STORY PREDICTIONS Halo 4 set the story: Master Chief, awakes the Ur-Didact, bent on the destruction of the human race to prove that they are unworthy to bear the Mantle of Responsibility. Ultimately, it would seem as though the Didact failed, his ship destroyed, and he himself is MIA. though there would be a darker plot afoot. What-ifs: The Ur-Didact mentioned on his ship, through voice overs, the "secret you have kept from me........this evolved ancilla". My question is, what is the only ancilla created after the Ur-Didact was put into stasis or the only ancilla the Ur-Didact may not have ever seen or come into contact with? There are 3 answers: Cortana who is made by Dr. Halsey, the ancilla the Librarian gave to Bornstellar or...... Offensive Bias. Offensive Bias was made between finding the Ur-Didact and the firing of the Halos. But it is never mentioned that he saw or interacted with this ancilla. Offensive Bias was more cold and calculating, but in the terminals seemed very..... human like or personable shall we say. Gender is never mentioned as it is an ancilla so gender is irrelevant. May extrapolation is that Cortana was/is Offensive Bias, merely re-written by Dr. Halsey. Which would still leave the canon that she was "made" by Dr. Halsey but alter Cortana's own backstory, making the plot I have devised even more intriguing. The Ur-Didact can clearly be heard speaking in the epilogue of Halo 4. His speech is directed at Forerunners, that much is made very clear. He seems to be addressing a collective. Knowing that forerunners survived and ultimately relocated to another galaxy. To which galaxy, I dare say the one that was discovered by the Librarian in the time before the last Forerunner-Flood War. It would make sense that they ultimately chose to relocate there because of the abundance of Forerunners, and because of the Organic Domain they had on that world. And further extrapolation would suggest the forerunners to have survived the halos firing would have also moved out to that galaxy, it would only be fair to suggest that forerunners are once again a powerful civilization (having been given 100,000 years and having the technology they had taken with them to those other forerunners in the other galaxy, it would only be fair to say they have become larger in scope). Which would mean that the Ur-Didact was sent, along with the raw data collected by the composer, to Requiem (as eluded to in Spartan Ops via the episodes) and then left for this galaxy (Or the speech he was giving was a foretelling of the story for Halo 5). Master Chief is a human Spartan 2 soldier. That much we understand. However, it was noted that, when humanity was reseeded on the world Erde-Tyrene, the geas left by the Librarian was removed from humanity. Everybody was screened before departing from the forerunner ships, and all traces of the Librarian were removed. Though, the Librarian herself mentions the "gene plans" she had placed in "you". As well, the line "1000 lifetimes of planning", which would mean the Librarian has an active knowledge of Living Time, meaning she could not have been just a "recording". I would venture a guess as to say the Librarian survived the firing of the Halos. To what extent I do not know but I can speculate that she may not be forerunner anymore (AI/digital or perhaps even.......flood). Back to the Master Chief; he was spoken to by above mentioned Librarian. She apparently activated the gene plan she had implemented in humanity years before hand. Now there are two explanations: (1) it really was a gene plan enacted by the Librarian after the firing of the Halos and the reseeding of humanity or (2)......it was brevet mutation. The chamber the chief was in when this occurred was observed to have a view of the outside (direct view of the stars and space, as required for any mutation). Something else that is interesting is that when you see Master Chief's face in the Legendary epilogue of Halo 4, he has no eyebrows. Curious. The game developers make a point of ensuring all of the other human characters have eyebrows except the MC. Now, please enlighten me as to who has no eyebrows and is a member of another species? Answers: the Arbiter and ....the Ur-Didact. Every forerunner seen has had no eyebrows, which is interesting. Now, to be more clear as to why I believe the MC underwent a brevet mutation: the Ur-Didact underwent a brevet mutation before composing his army, and became immune to the Composer, which is exactly what happened when MC was "accelerated" by the Librarian. The flood are not done, never will be. Halo's story line is dripping with Flood everywhere, to eliminate the possibility of the Flood returning to the franchise would be dismissive as they are crucial to the story. Now in which manor they come back, I am not sure, though I guess as to a few ways. MY PREDICTIONS TO SUMMARIZE AND CLARIFY: I believe Cortana is Offensive Bias in one form or another. --she will be found alive and well, though ashamed and upset that she never told MC --she will also be the most controversial character in this trilogy of games, my reasons are below in the MC section The Ur-Didact will assemble the forerunner race in force to strip humanity of the Mantle, as the Ur-Didact wishes to prove the Precursors wrong that Humanity was meant to inherit the Mantle --he may or may not become infected by the flood (would be cool to see) --I do not believe that he will die (or if he does, he will have made peace with the MC) --I think the ending to this trilogy will see him and humanity 'together' in some form or another The Librarian is alive, though she may be flood infected, helping humanity to inherit the Mantle through 'alternative ways' --she and Cortana have a plot afoot involving the MC --has a vested interest in the MC and humanity (more than a forerunner would) Now for a plot twist: I believe that the Master Chief is actually Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting. Now I have many reasons to believe as such. --the Librarian had prior knowledge of him, his suit, and his ancilla --refers to him as 'You' and addresses him a less than formal manner different to how she addressed Dr. Halsey in Requiem --preformed what I believe was a brevet mutation on him - which if you watch all the Halo 4 cut scenes you would notice MC's height difference from start to finish, Commander Palmer is dwarfed by him in the epilogue, yet is only a few inches shorter than him when they first meet. --and he has no real back story, that he refers to that is known as fact --Dr. Halsey has a vested interest in him, more than any other Spartan --yes I know, he is supposed to have 6 fingers, but that could easily be explained. --it was mentioned that Bornstellar could return to being a maniplar if he so desired, and so I believe he did, so he could live the way he intended to It is my belief that the Master Chief is Bornstellar because I believe there to be more in depth back story as to the departure of the Forerunner's from the galaxy. MY VERSION OF HALO BACK STORY: I believe Bornstellar had himself put into stasis with Offensive Bias. When he went into stasis, he said the lines: "Wake me when you need me." to Offensive Bias, and so humanity found them some years later. Dr. Halsey being assigned to the project, interacted with Offensive Bias first, and having done so, integrated her own mind with its, thereby making Cortana. Halsey explained that a living forerunner, especially one that was a warrior-servant (knowledge gained through their time conversing) would be a valuable asset to humanity. Though, Halsey explained further, it would be a liability if he were to remember who he was, and what he did. So, Cortana rewrote his memory, giving him made up memories of a life he would have lived as a human. The Spartan 2 program started, with new technology garnered from Cortana and Master Chief (suit, interface, etc.) (1) Librarian: She survived the firing of the Halos on earth, and watched over humanity. Currently lives on earth, and has yet to found. (2) Librarian: Survived the firing of the halos, though was infected by the flood. Made a pact with the flood to eradicate the forerunner civilization, and to give humanity the Mantle. GAME PLOTS - FUTURE MEDIA I believe Halo 5 will focus mostly on the retrieval of the Janus Key and Dr. Halsey. Halsey will then at some point during the course of her rescue reveal a partial truth to MC about Cortana and him, and what they really are. She will say more about Cortana's origins rather than his, as she feels it is Cortana's responsibility to tell MC the truth. She then reveals that with the Janus Key, it is possible to find Cortana (Offensive Bias) using it (the All Record). Further along in the story it is revealed that the flood is alive, and has infected the Storm Covenants forces, and that an inner war between the flood and the Covenant ensues - near the All Record. The Ur-Didact towards the end of the game, jumps out of slip space with an army of forerunners and prometheans - near earth, in the epilogue. I believe Halo 6 will focus more on the retrieval of Cortana from the All Record, and the information she has in regards to MC and humanity. I think this is when the Flood will reveal its true nature, in and that it wanted humanity to attain the Mantle, not forerunners, and in order to make this a reality, it had to draw out the remaining forerunners using MC and humanity (this is probably when the Librarian will reveal her pact with the flood to ensure humanity's survival). In order to save humanity, MC rushes through slip space with the help of the Flood to Earth, and confronts the Ur-Didact. Upon realizing his inevitable defeat, he makes peace with the MC, revealing to him that he is Bornstellar, whilst Cortana confirms it. The Didact then realizes what he must do in order to stop the flood........ too many hypotheses to list, suffice to say, it will be a grande finale. CONCLUSIONS Though I may be completely wrong, and many of my ideas have there fair share of holes in terms of explanation. I believe at least some of what I posted is true. More so the idea that Master Chief is not John the Spartan 2 test subject. He may not be Bornstellar, but he most definitely is not the man he thinks he is. Also I believe the portion involving Cortana is true, that she is either Offensive Bias or the Librarian's ancilla that was given to Bornstellar. I believe she will play a vital role in further games and will always be part of the Halo universe. Those are my thoughts. If you agree, disagree, have further information regarding the above mentioned, feel free to post. I always love hearing hypotheses regarding Halo story lines and back stories. ***Sorry that it is so long, I have just been wanting to voice my hopes for so long, I figured I would give as much information and evidence as to my predictions as possible.*** *** I am aware there is a thread about halo plot lines already, however being a new member, I can't seem to find it. ***
  7. Hello everyone and welcome back to Doctor Pbrabbit's Analysis Blog. Todays topic: Assassinations, and what you can do to get them! So in recent studies I have found that Assassinations today are on the brink of being easier and easier to get. Might I say almost easier to get than any STD. This is a very serious matter, so i talked to some people in this case study I like to call, "Give people $20 to lie and make my statements sound better". I asked one gentleman, "How is Halo 4 so far?" He immediately replied with, "Halo 4 is Assassinations!" and ran away. I feel that he might have had some brain damage due to the woodpecker on his head, but I did not care. I'm not that kind of Doctor, or at-least I think I am not, I might have to check the P.H.D again. Then I moved onto a really hot chick, who was a gamer, and asked her, her thoughts on Assassinations in Halo 4. She had to say this, "Personally Halo 4 is so dumb, I play Call of duty Black ops 2 and MW3 so those are way better than that stupid game." After that Interview at 5 O'clock on the evening news there was a hot chick missing for some reason. I could not comprehend what was going on. It was not like I released the info and the names of everyone who did this. And finally I had one last patient come in. He was 6 years of age and was cute as a button. I asked where his mother was and he said "shut up, lets get this over with." Right away I knew this kid was one of those COD trolls, but then again I was a doctor, and I was taught to not judge a book by its cover, so I began the interview. I asked the boy his thoughts on Halo and with Assassinations, and he replied with "Well first of all Halo 4 is the first step into 343 industries trying to make it big with this already big franchise....(he went on for a WHILE!). Secondly Assassinations in the game have turned out to be way to easy to get. So I personally think there should be some nerf to that. I do not know how, I just think they should." I was shocked, amazed, and you could even say flabbergasted! I was such in awe that as a doctor I PASSED OUT! Well when I woke up the boy was gone, there was a pen mustache on my face and he took $50 out of my wallet. Though he was nice to leave a thank you note. All in all a good interview. Ahem! ( clear the throat ), back to the analysis part of the blog. It seems to me that my case study of 3 random, country folk have proved to me and to you, the scientific community of HALO, that Assassinations are as easy to get as STDs and can be prevented by looking at your Radar. Thank you very much. Until my next Discovery I bid you a goodbye. This document is from the Un-federal archives of Doctor, Professor and Pimp, Pbrabbit. Any use of the Un-legal, fake and satirical documents will not have you be sued in any way. Hey guys, Pbrabbit here. So I was bored and this is a random, improvised story/blog I created. If you like it, let me know and I can create more of these for your enjoyment. If not, well then. Please do not be a hater and comment below with hateful remarks. Kindly message me to let me know of your thoughts. Thank you!
  8. Or is there a off topic fourm?
  9. Bungie has a history of connecting their story's or making references to biblical and Mythological event's. Fpr example in Halo the forerunners made an array of weapons which is made up of 8 installations, 7 of them being the actual weapons (the rings) and 1 of them being the place to activate the rings (the ark). The purpose of this array was to wipe out a parasitic threat called the flood and as I stated the ark is the place where is can happen. So this is a reference to the biblical event of Noah's ark, Noah's ark was to save life from the flooded earth, also the covenant seen these installations as sacred structures and they wanted to activate them believing they would be come gods and as you know the ark is the place to do this which is another biblical reference to story "The ark of the covenant. Another reference bungie used was Mjolnir was from Norse mythology and it was the hammer of Thor, Mjolnir were cyborgs the humans used in the game marathon and also the name of a type of spartan armor in Halo. They were many more of these kind of references but I just wanted to use a few as examples. So what has Bungie been doing this time for destiny? Well I think we might have some connections between destiny and an ancient religious story called the "The seven heavens" or "The seven layers of heaven" which are affiliated with some parts of Christianity and Islam. They can be read here. http://www.archangel...en_heavens.html http://www.faithfree...s/sina40712.htm It was believed that heaven was made up of seven layers, here is a quote from the article from the first link explaining this belief. "The ancients believed that there were Seven Heavens which related to the seven observable planets in our solar system. The Sun and Moon, where referred to as planets by the ancients due to lack astronomical understanding and with these they also included the five planets which were visible by the naked eye, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter. According to this belief each planet occupied its own layer of Heaven or potion of the sky/space, each occupying an orbit further and further away from Earth, as Earth was the considered centre of the Universe. Today we realise that this apparent distance is in fact the planets orbit around the Sun, not distance from the Earth" These planets also represented each day of the week as stated in the second link provided above. Monday to Moon Tuesday to Mars Wednesday to Mercury Thursday to Jupiter Friday to Venus Saturday to Saturn Sunday to Sun Two weeks ago on the week of February 11th Bungie started an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) for Destiny, this game was on a website called alphalupi.bungie.net and on that site there are seven sections that correspond to each day of the week. To access each section on the day it corresponds to we had to rearrange a series of dots, once these dots were arranged correctly they made up geomantic figures. Geomantic figures was an art that was practised in the Europe during the middle ages. There are 16 of these figures and they each represents the state or mind of the world and each figure is associated with the planets in the solar system. Out of the 16 figures here are the seven that Bungie used for the ARG. The first symbol to retrieve was this This symbol is called Populous which is Latin for "The people" and it is affiliated with the moon. Just like in the seven heavens story the moon represents Monday which was the day we had to retrieve this symbol in the ARG The Second symbol was this This symbol is called Puer which is Latin for "The Boy" and it is affiliated with the planet Mars, and in the seven heavens story Mars represents Tuesday which was the day this symbol was used in the ARG. The third symbol was this This symbol is called Albus which is Latin for "White" and it is affiliated with the planet Mercury which represents Wednesday and it was the day this symbol was used in the ARG. The fourth symbol was this This symbol is called Acquisito which is Latin for "Gain" and it is affiliated with the planet Jupiter which represents Thursday the same day this symbol was used for the ARG. The fifth symbol was this This symbol is called Puella which is Latin for "The girl" and it is affiliated with the planet Venus which represents Friday the same day this symbol was used for the ARG. The sixth symbol was this This symbol is called Tristitia which is Latin for "Sorrow" and it is affiliated with the planet Saturn which represents Saturday the same day this symbol was used for the ARG. The seventh and final symbol was this This symbol is called Fortuna Major which is Latin for "The Greater Fortune" and it is affiliated with the Sun which represents Sunday and you guessed it, it's the same day this symbol was used for the ARG. That was the first connection I believe destiny has to the seven heavens, the symbols representing the planets from the story and were used on the same days that the planets represented, In my opinion I think that may be a solid connection. The next thing that at noticed was this piece of the the story from the second link. "There are seven earths. The first is called Ramaka, beneath which is the Barren Wind, which can be bridled by no fewer than seventy thousand angels. With this wind God destroyed the people of Ad. The inhabitants of Ramaka are a nation called Muwashshim, upon whom is everlasting torment and divine retribution. The second earth is called Khalada, wherein are the implements of torture for the inhabitants of Hell. There dwells a nation called Tamis, whose food is their own flesh and whose drink is their own blood. The third earth is called Arqa, wherein dwell mulelike eagles with spearlike tails. On each tail are three hundred and sixty poisonous quills. Were even one quill placed on the face of the earth, the entire universe would pass away. The inhabitants thereof are a nation called Qays, who eat dirt and drink mothers' milk. The fourth earth is called Haraba, wherein dwell the snakes of Hell, which are as large as mountains. Each snake has fangs like tall palm trees, and if they were to strike the hugest mountain with their fangs it would be leveled to the ground. The inhabitants of this earth are a nation called Jilla, and they have no eyes, hands or feet but have wings like bats and die only of old age. The fifth earth is called Maltham, wherein stones of sulphur hang around the necks of infidels. When the fire is kindled the fuel is placed on their breasts, and the flames leap up onto their faces, as He hath said: The fire whose fuel is men and stones (2:24), and Fire shall cover their faces (14:50). The inhabitants are a nation called Hajla, who are numerous and who eat each other. The sixth earth is called Sijjin. Here are the registers of the people of Hell, and their works are vile, as He hath said: Verily the register of the actions of the wicked is surely Sijjin (83:7). Herein dwells a nation called Qatat, who are shaped like birds and worship God truly. The seventh earth is called Ajiba and is the habitation of Iblis. There dwells a nation called Khasum, who are BLACK and short, with claws like lions. It is they who will be given dominion over Gog and Magog, who will be destroyed by them…" Note that each of the heavens/worlds has only one nation, just like in destiny humanity is reduced to only one last city on the planet and the people in that city are probably known as the last and only nation left on the planet. We could later find out that there could be 6 other planets that are suffering the same situation at earth but at the minute this theory isn't certain yet. Going back to the first linked site I may have found 1 or 2 other connections to destiny, but again this theory isn't certain yet but I thought it was worth mentioning. "The First Heaven was also considered to be the place where Adam and Eve lived and here you would experience winds and the landscape contains water and clouds. The Second Heaven was the place that Moses visited and is considered to be the place where the Fallen Angels are imprisoned. Moses visted Raquia and met the angel Nuriel who hade governorship over 50 myriads of angels, who are composed water and fire. The Third Heaven has a small contradiction, Firstly it is considered the place of the Garden of Eden, juxtaposed to this, it is also thought to be the location of Hell to the North .It is also reputed to be the home of the Tree of Life. The Fourth Heaven contains the heavenly city of Jerusalem. Also the location of the Garden of Eden The Fifth Heaven, Samael the Ruling Archangel is served by two millions of angels. These are divided among the four quarters of the world, in each quarter three, who control the twelve months, and over these are twelve chief angels. The northern regions of this Heaven is the area where the Watchers, (Grigori) reside. To the South reside the angels (ministering) who endlessly chant the praises of God." The Sixth Heaven, Archangel Sachiel, with two millions of angels. The angel Zebul is placed over these during the day, and another angel, Sabath, during the night. They rule over kings, create fear, and give protection from enemies. This Heaven is covered in snow and frequently experiences many storms. The Seventh Heaven is reputed to be the Holiest of all the Heavens and contains the Throne of Glory which is attended by the Seven Archangels. The 7th Heaven is the home of God and his Throne. He is surrounded by the angels of the orders of Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones. Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Fanuel (Penuel) are introduced as "the four angels of the face of the Lord."In Enoch, lxxi. 7-13, these four stand near the crystal throne of God, which, encircled by fire, is surrounded by the Seraphim, Cherubim, and Ofanim. Click here to see Angelic Hierachy page Note the second heaven, which is Mars is the place of the Fallen Angels. Destiny features and Alien faction called "The Fallen" which control an exclusion zone on Mars. The third world is where the Garden of Eden is and it is thought to be the location of the hell of the north, in destiny there is a place called the black garden, why would it be called the "black" garden. Maybe it is place of evil or a fierce enemy? Also worth noting that there is a place in destiny called "hell mouth" And the fifth world has angel or being that control the twelve months, to me that sounds like time control or time travel and in destiny there is a faction of robots/ AI's called "Vex" and they have the ability to time travel. Thats all I have so far, this may seem crazy or over the top to some but I believe these may have connections and if you think about it, it would seem that it does.
  10. 11. Okay lets get the good out the way so people wont say Im biased, I like Halo 4's character focus, I dont think we've actually had characters expanded like this since the Prophet of Truth and the Arbitor in Halo 2 and I think 343i did a good job on that .But what I wanna talk about isnt the character themselves its about the story and how gameplay elements add to that story. Bofore we go on Im gonna ask you a couple questions and I want you to answer them as honestly as possible. Who were the forerunners? What were they? What was their society like? How have the covenent evolved? How have the humans evolved? And most importantly ,How has Halo 4's level design and gameplay shown me this? I know this is gonna sound a bit unfair but for me the most disappointing thing is that I cant answer any of these questions without pointing to cutscenes or books. That in a nutshell is the main reason why Halo 4 's campaign disappointed me because apart from the cutscenes there was literally nothing else that further the story. Architecture and Level Design Im gonna go off tangent and talk about archeology. Do you know what I find intersting about this, this or even this? Its because there is purpose and culture in the design. These civilisations didnt just design their building on the basis that they were pretty to look at , they designed them in such a manner that gave them meaning and relavence to how they lived. Halo 4 while beautiful is at its core "tastelss"for me . There isnt really any level which stood out to me as particularly imaginative or story driven which is a shame. Requiem was once a planet that was inhabited by an ancient civilisation which prided itself as being protectors of all life, it should carry with it the marks ancient society full of both adults, children, criminals, love and hate (In this case an Authoritarian government with Heiraches) but instead I find it hard to believe the forerunners had anything to do with that planet. It feels more like an assortment of maps than anything else. 343i the trick to bringing your world to life isnt in the graphics, its in the detail. Whether it bestatues, ruins, cathedrals or even non-interactable AI's if you put enough datail in your game world it will come alive. Gameplay and How it helps the story You ever get the impression that Halo's combat has stagnated in respect to its story. No dont overreact, I'll explain. I mean here you have Far cry 3 a game which has improved its gameplay by adding elements such as hunting mechanics which further immerse you in the story . Another example is how dead space 2 and 3 have now fully evolved their zero G mechanic.Non of these games needed these additional mechanics and yet their presence still adds more to their respective stories and games. This is pretty much why Im perplexed by Halo 4 and Halo as a franchise. Halo is a game in space were you encounter new aliens and technology. If thats the case then why; Why is it that nobody thinks expanding the AA's in campaign to become more powerfull and perhaps more relevent to the story is a good idea? why is it that all the new alien weapons still feel human? Why has 343i never really considerd taking advantage of the setting and make a zero G level which requires you to jet pack? Why is that 6 games onwards were still clinging to the old "shoot, cutscene, shoot, vehicle, shoot" formula? Halo 4 has the potential to give us something genuiinly new and exciting without having to resort to QTE'S and cutscenes. (Oh and just for the record I actually liked the little climbing mechanic that was in dawn and hope its expanded upon for Halo 5.) Halo has the chance to evolve here into something different 343i dont waste it. Anyway I think I've said all I wanted to at the moment.Im pretty sure a lot of people dont agree with my viewpoints but you know what Im cool with it. I like both Halo and I respect 343i and while I dont like most of Halo 4 and have been harsh towards them it doesnt mean that I wouldnt like to see them improve. Thanks for reading

  13. A Soldiers Faith By: Harbinger Introduction The date is December 6th 2551 and there is a new enemy afoot that make the Innies look like wimps, The Covenant. Harvest was like something out of a nightmare. The first people really started getting scared was when Corbulo Acadamy was attacked very few survivors....these things the Covenant only seem to want to wipe us out and every human is up in arms. This story is about a 18 year old boy named Gunnrey Crumrine who is now boarding a UNSC recruitment vessel from New Mombasa Chapter 1: The Ride Gunnrey stepped aboard the vessel crowded looking at the other potentiel UNSC Soldiers. Thinking to himself, "Some of these people might not return home, maybe none...." He brushed off the thought with a little head shake and looked around. "Now where to sit...." Just then a guy maybe late early 20s gestered for Gunnrey to come sit by him. He had one blue eye and one green eye and stood around 6"10". He looked trust worthy so he sat down. Gunnrey:"Thanks man shuttles a bit crowded." Mystery man:"No prob." Gunnrey."I'm sorry wheres my manners Gunnrey Crumrine." *holds hand out for shake* Mystery man:*shakes hands*"Nice to meet you names Jake Bauer." Gunnrey: "Yea I didn't really read into this to well where exactly are we going?" Jake: "We're going to Corbulo Acadamy it just reopened and we're the new batch." Gunnrey: I heard about that place got completley destroyed by the Covenant few survivors." Jake:"Yea." Gunnrey: "Well I didn't get much sleep so if you don't mind I'm just going to rest abit wake me when we get there." Jake: "Alright." P.S. Criticism is completely welcome it will only help me. NOTICE: Note you can put one character in an if its good enough I may put him/her/it in my story. Follow these as a basis. Name: Age: Appearance: Personality: Back story: Weapon or weapons of choice: When creating your character try not to give him a position in the story I will decide where he goes. But feel free to suggest what he could be thank you.
  14. So I was on my Facebook feed earlier today then I was this picture, it made me feel sad.
  15. Ok so I must have overlooked some information and linked some things in my mind that weren't accurate because when I played through Halo 4's campaign I was very confused by the time it ended. I would like to say I have complaints and questions about everything in the story but I'm only going to focus on the one unconfirmed subject for me at least, that being The Forerunners. Throughout the games and books the forerunners are said to have been a race of super advanced beings who expanded across the galaxy, then in an effort to destroy the flood they killed themselves and all sentient life. But they had libraries of samples belonging to all sentient life in secure areas so they could be distributed back after the Halo's were activated, restarting sentient life from where it left off. So I'm going to jump right in with my opinion here. Until I played Halo 4 I always assumed the forerunners were in fact humans. Hence why the Prophets referred to them as Humanity's forefathers, why Guilty Spark calls humans Reclaimers, why only humans can use (and instinctively know how to use) important forerunner controls. But as it happens I was wrong and the Forerunners are simply confused aliens. You may be wondering why I said "confused" aliens, well my friend I can only assume they were confused. Or at the very least their thought processes are very different to that of a human. Let me explain. Why when they wiped out all sentient life did they clone all the species, excluding themselves. Did the forerunners decide their species had been around for long enough? Did they simply forget to add their own samples to the libraries? For whatever reason when they fired the Halo arrays the forerunners decided that they weren't worth having around any more. That's one reason why i thought they were humans, because we were a result of their gene samples that were plonked on Earth after the Halo's were fired. But what confuses me most according to 343's cannon, they were at war with humans. So before they all died they made sure that their mortal enemies could rise back up to their former glory and use all the forerunner technology. I may have missed something but to me that makes little to no sense at all. Which brings me on to humans. Where's all the ancient human stuff then? Over the years humanity has discovered Forerunner artifacts, robots, planets, stations and weapons. Yet not a single human space chair has been discovered. There is no evidence anywhere that anything besides the forerunners existed before the events of Halo. But apparently Humans were not only a living species they were also a galactic nation large and advanced enough to stand against the forerunners. So where are their planets? Their robots? their Artifacts? Or did the ancient humans just have an identical taste in architecture and engineering as the forerunners? As I've said I must have gotten the wrong end of the stick or something because I've always felt that Halo had been subtly hinting that humans and forerunners were the same. But maybe I'm wrong and they've always been shaved brutes with jedi force powers. But if someone could weigh in and explain what I've missed I would appreciate it! And another thing when did every one find out that forerunner's name was "Didact"? I swear he never mentioned it to Cortana and Chief when he was evily monologue-ing
  16. While I admit that the story and the execution thereof had a few issues, I found it to be interesting and fairly well thought out. The biggest problem I had, though, was that all of the plot was shoved into one cutscene. That made it kind of hard to follow. When the Librarian mentions that she hid seeds from the Didact, what exactly is she talking about? Is this something where I would need to read the Forerunner trilogy to understand thoroughly?
  17. Hey Everyone, I hope you guys are loving halo 4 as much as me; I can't stop thinking about it, and it's made my mind wander towards the idea of making another movie, but this time using game-footage from Halo 4. I'm going to make it about 100x better than Internal identity and I am looking for experienced halo players to be movement actors. I may just need some voice actors too. This forum is for the purpose of generating a group of actors for my next Fan-made Halo Movie, but I would also like to ask a question to someone who may be more experienced than me with marketing Fan-made videos. I would like to know, How can I get the word out about a video for it to go viral and spread like wildfire? because I know this next one is going to be a hit. Talk to me people, and please feel free to watch HALO MOVIE: Internal Identity. It is my first Fan-made production, so believe me I know its not perfect, but if you will watch it you will see that I am dedicated to making a quality movie. Take Care, and much halo love to you! gangstab0p
  18. Here's what I was told; 343 guilty spark was lonely, so he decided to build a sentinel army, he then released the flood so he could have his own little mini war he could enjoy. He started blowing up installation after installation, releasing and freeing the flood. Then he wanted a giant battle with the flood, then the humans came which was what Halo CE came about. He was happy to see them knowing they are reclaimers, They wanted to destroy the halo and 343 GS wanted to fire it, but he wasn't allowed to, it had to be activated by a relaimer, or any other status. I do not know if this story is true or not, but this is partial of it. Can anyone tell me if this is right or wrong?
  19. Film guy here. Did a little work on the live-action bit that played before the E3 demo. I'll hold my reservations about it... My mind is always more in cinema than games, and admittedly, I only know a good portion of Halo cannon So, tell me if this rough idea is a bad one: Somewhere in the forthcoming series, a story arc happens between Cortana and Chief. The Forerunner "Halo" or whatever threatens the whole galaxy (again). Chief can't stop it without Cortana, but she's in a stage of rampancy that makes her antagonistic to our hero. With little time left, Cortana is contained, and the Chief’s new objective is to find and access an ancient Forerunner facility that gave birth to man and covenant. We do this explicitly for the purpose of saving our AI companion. Just before we arrive, we believe Cortana has been completely self-deconstructed and it's hopelessly too late. But the Chief tries anyway, and Cortana is successfully reborn as a human-Forerunner model (insert character-building cinematic). Instead of being useless and inviting all the design flaws that come with escort missions, she becomes an invaluable ally that aids in combat, navigation and progression. The facility is indirectly destroyed shortly after, solidifying Cortana's new role. That’s it. Fan fiction? Or a useable concept to progress the game? Constructive discussion, please.
  20. As the title says, if you have a story to share (from owning in games, to real life incidents, you name it) post it here, and entertain us and surprise the community. Let us know you better, and have a good time sharing all of these stories and talking more as a community to grow a tighter bond. For the mods who doesn't think this thread should be here, you can remove it. Well once, me and my brother accidently set fire to a field..and grass area in my grandfathers back yard. Me and my brother tried putting it out, but we went screaming to my grandpa who got a watering hose and a rake lol, and help us put it out. He was so mad at us he did not even speak to use for awhile, my mom got home oh boy, she was mad, luckily my dad wasn't there and did not know about it till later and he didn't do anything. This all started because it was a windy day, me and my brother was playing with matches. I thought i had put it out (even stomped on it) and it still caught fire to the dry weeds/field. This happened when i was 12 years old, and this is why you do not play with fire kids!
  21. So I was thinking, and it'd be cool to start a legend/background story about Spartan-468 (myself). I have a feel simple ideas myself, but I'm gonna need community input if I'm gonna turn it into a small story. I need ideas from everyone, plus ideas for a small intro fan fiction story that I will write. The facts about Spartan-468 so far: -Leader of White Team (last known location of team: Reach) -Last known location: Reach -Crackshot with almost any weapon, but Prefers Sniper and DMR -Favorite weapon: Sniper -Has taken on 10 elite/grunt teams at a time when his team were on board Covenant carrier -Has white armor (awesome white armor) -Has legendary skill with Sniper and DMR, but uses Magnum when needed -HATES assault rifle -Can take out a dozen Covy in about 10 seconds flat, all with head shots, the most time consuming part, being the reload. I can't really think of any more at this time. They dont all have to be true, especially since some are pretty far fetched. But, you guys can help me pick them and add ideas. I also need help coming up with a short fan fiction story about him and White team on Reach. All of white team will die, except him. It should finish with him in a situation where its nigh impossible to get out alive, but it can happen. Cuz he does, duh, or I wouldnt be here! But its supposed to build up mystery about him, you know? And I'm not the best idea man. I can write, but ima need help. All help is appreciated. Thank Guys :unworthy:
  22. The only rule is that it has to continue. No randomly ditching someone else's idea/current happenings in the story. GO!!!
  23. Okay now I am not the best with seeing the whole picture nor do I have keen sense of detail. I may be a bit of a Halo radical and I see that now. I didn't hate Reach and still don't, but I don't think it was the best Halo either. I honestly believe that many of the reasons the "core fan base" say they hate Reach for are actually in hindsight only coincidental affected aspects that are made to branch off from the real issues. And I believe one of those is that Reach wasn't really part of the epic and familiar trilogy we know and love. Reach on its own honestly didn't impress me much as a story I admit. Maybe it was a little sketchy because Bungie was kind of taking a leap of faith even though I am one of the many that promoted this. I still thought Reach had a great campaign the first time I played through, but it just lacked diversity or at least a feel of different scenarios. I think the main issue is that in truth Reach is like a entirely new IP in spirit and it failed to capture us like CE. It was like trying to breed a new and nostalgic feel in a evolved body, but that role is already cemented in CE. It is a prequel and was intended to stand alone from the other games. It didn't inherent the legacy and energy from the other games naturally. It truly had to be built from the ground up in that sense and this is what we missed. Maybe it would have been 5xs more impressive if it was Halo 4 and we were still with chief. If we were going with some passed on energy from previous games, but it wasn't. It was a stand alone title and relative to the cohesive glory of the other games it just didn't match up. And it didn't grab us like CE did when it kicked off the trilogy. But now I'm not going to try to rant about campaign or even about other aspects of Halo because like I said before I am not the best with details and seeing the whole picture. I don't hate Reach so I'm not going to rant anyway. I want to say hi and I hope to post some idea and discussion threads later on and get along with this community, and just observe the creative bomb rush of activity on these forums.
