  1. Hey guys! Frank O'Connor mentioned in an interview last year that we were better-off petitioning to bring split-screen multiplayer back for Halo 6. Well here it is, Frankie! Please sign and share this petition. Let's show 343 that split-screen is still important to us! https://www.change.org/p/343-industries-bring-split-screen-multiplayer-back-for-halo-6?recruiter=1146767&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink
  2. I'm actually devastated by this revelation. It is a regular activity for me to get together with a friend to play Halo games. Tradition since 2004 on the old 'box. I know it means nothing, but I had to start an account just to voice my tremendous disappointment to 343 Industries. The MP (split screen experience... I don't use multiplayer features alone much) in Halo 4 was so great, my friends and I were super-excited for 5 to release - to get that experience on 'new gen'. MC collection just doesn't have a good MP experience in my opinion, so Guardians was going to be the revelation. I know, I know; I'm probably in the minority of players who want a gaming experience for more than one person in the home - but this is such a blow to my hobby, I can't fathom a developer doing such a disservice to a game's fan base. A game that I'd imagined was going to be a staple of my play time in a series that I've excitedly picked up on release day each and every iteration is now relegated to being just another shooter to experience then throw on the stack for trade-in. What a tremendous bummer. 343, you have crushed my fandom. ...you can tell I'm new; I double-tapped and posted this twice. Don't know how to get rid of the dupe. Sry for the noob-ery.
  3. I wasn't able to find another topic on this, but please delete if there is. Does anyone else notice they play better during a 2 player spilt screen match? Even with the smaller screen size and drop in detail, I perform better as I find the further reduction in tracking speed allows me to dial in my aim that much more. I'm not sure what the average player has there controller sensitivity set to, but I'm a 1 in both full and split screen matches, and a one in split screen feels just enough slower to put me at my best. I suppose this is an effect of the slightly wider aspect ratio? I'm certainly a good bit above average in Sniping and BR/DMR duals when in split screen, and near pro on the Gauss Turret. (Didn't know there was an Unfrigginbelievable medal till I earned a few back on Exile). And yet, I can't hit a thing with the Gauss in full screen, it really is night and day. I currently play on a 92" projector screen, which in split screen is perfect, but while in full screen I find I'm always over compensating. If playing alone I just move the projector closer to the screen, which helps, but still isn't the same as split screen. Too many times I've signed in a guest, just to hide them and play on by my self in split screen. Does anybody with programming knowledge know how much effort it would take for 343 to incorporate a single player mode with the aspect ratio of split screen mode? Would there even be a demand? I can't be the only one out there! I'd even be happy with an option to use just the top half off the split screen mode! Thank you for reading
  4. Just hoping this gets fixed soon, or something helps it. There are two lag issues that have been going on for a while now, and it is getting rather irritating. I do not recall Halo 3, or Reach having such a terrible lag when two people were split screened, so why is it in Halo 4? Now I'm not saying it lags on every map, but it does however always lag on custom forge maps. (Shutout, Simplex, Opus, Black Site etc.) Whether it is a guest or not, if two people share a screen, 98% of the time there is a horrible lag. This makes for insanely frustrating play when playing snipers, swat, and even flood; Not to mention having people quit out because it can get to be that bad. I don't know how this issue can be solved, but it has been going on long enough so why ignore a large issue when it comes to match making? Doesn't 343 want people to play their games? Another issue is trying to play BTB or Multi-team on Complex, because the map has an awful lag. Suggesting to remove the map from both playlists, because there is just too much going on for that map to apparently handle. If anyone knows the best ways to fix the lag if it is even possible, please let post it here; I know I am not the only one dealing with this problem.
