Thank you Zan "Windthrown" is one of my more 1st ever serious builds that I accomplished in the first quarter of Reach's launch! Windthrown is rendered, inspired, and designed from the hardscape layout from Halo 3 ODST's original firefight map "Windward"! I chose this hardscape layout, at the time I had no inspiring ideas, so I looked into the Halo franchise for something unique to bring to the community! Choosing this map really helped me understand how maps were Forged, and what elements were needed to make a solid map! Every time I booted up this map, I always thought it would be a fantastic environ to play competitively! During the 3rd render bringing it in to Halo 4, due to multiple requests, it evolved enough that the build kinda became its own, yet you can still tell its spiritual successor, hence the name "Windthrown"! This map has gone through 3 variants, and hours of playtesting over a 2 year span! This current render I feel is finally what I feel ready to release into the wild! Windthrown is set up for 4v4, but hits a sweet spot at 3v3! It plays 2v2 really well also! I have before had multiple gametypes and they all played well, but the consistent request for this map, is straight up Slayer variants!   2. Do you miss the original Halo Maps? Well I do, and I'm going to do something about it. As of today, you should post your map remakes here and allow others to play your map. As for me, I will be posting my progress on map remakes. The current map I am working on is Chiron TL-34 from Halo CE. I have laid out the foundations of the map and I have started to look at original map images to get an idea of the map "theme" After I get the basic map finished, I will upload some screenshots of the map. Then I will host a testing play date. I hope that you all will also post your remakes here.
  3. [sSB] Battlefield Super Smash Bros. Infinity map Hello guys ! If i create a new topic It's not because it's a new stage, but it's a new VERSION of the stage. Usually i put news versions in the official topic of Super Smash Bros. Infinity, but this Battlefield is totaly changed compared at the old version. This new version is exactly the same that in the original game. This map is another remake for this minigame, so if you don't know it, or if you want more information about it, I suggest you to read the topic. Super Smash Bros. The OLD version : The old version was simple, ugly, and a lot of details were missing. The NEW Version : There's absolutly all the details in this new version, all pieces of block, with the same inclinations, the same angles... everything is identical. I'm pretty proud of the solar dial, the blocks' overlapping produce a sun. I think it's really nice. Also i used wires to remake lianas. And for the end, i added water on the front, like in the original stage, and also the blue and purple lights which are on the main platform. But unfortunately i didn't have enought to do the second line. You always get the feeling that all ways out are "locked". The map itself is very high placed, where the lighting works better. Outside there are alot of mountains and trees which is a good aesthetic feature. The map itself is a remake of Chill out/ Cold Storage, but with some twists, which make for better gameplay and movement on the map. Weapons: Sniper at redbase (180sec) Shotgun at bluebase (180sec) Overshield in the middle of the map (random) 2 stormrifles 1 br 1 suppressor 2 puls grenades (The rocked launcher is removed, since it's overpowered) The gameplay does work as the classic map, but the movement is better, and the teleporters are removed since they were confusing. Actually, I have playtestet this alot and tried to make it as good as possible. Gametypes: Slayer CTF KotH Oddball FFA Regicide 2v2 1v1 This map works extremely well in FFA and Slayer variants (and Oddball) This map was forged by Desson1A (me) Feedback is always appreciated from anyone. The more opinions, the better, right? blue base shotgun in blue base lower hallway from blue to the main room upper hallway from blue base to the main room (cover added) red base sniper spawns in red base orange located below red base hallway which is below the red base and connects orange and the main room this is the main room with the brigde (the brigde is now bigger for better movement) the overshield spawns randomly to prevent it from beeing overpowered. It spawns on a platform which is new to this map this room connects orange and the blue base. The rocket launcher is replaced with a suppressor and 2 puls grenades. The two platforms where the rocket launcher used to spawn are connected and multiple ways up to it are now available. Also the movement between this room and the mainroom is now better. (excuse me for the bad english)

Gamertag: BlahishSnipesU Map: Bespin: Cloud City Gametypes: Star Wars Battlefront Conquest or you can use Robius5991's gametype Star Wars Battlefront 2 Player count: 12-16 players This map is a remake of my favorite map in the Battlefront series, Bespin: Cloud City. I have spent countless hours working on this map, mainly because of the dynamic lighting issue it had. The lighting still isn't completely fixed, but its as good as it could possibly get, and it isn't as noticeable during gameplay and a whole lot better than how it originally was. If I ever do edit the map making the lighting just a little bit better, which I probably will do since there is always room for improvement, I'll post another version of it. Also, there were a few minor things I had to exclude from the remake that was in the original map, like some of the hallways in the carbon freezing chamber. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this map as much as I do. If anyone has any comments, questions, or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Also I want to give credit to the guys from OnlineKnights for giving me the inspiration for this map. Some aerial views. Blue Spawn Red Spawn Bride on the blue side of the map. Bride on the red side of the map. These are ammo and health droids. Standing near the ammo droid (the red one) will give you unlimited armor ability and unlimited ammo, standing the health droid (the blue one) will recharge your shields instantly and faster than normal. Before using the ammo droid... After using the ammo droid. As you can see, it will actually give you an extra magazine for your gun and it replenishes your armor ability.   6. Name: Arbitral Author: curmugeon Compatible Gametypes: Slayer KOTH Extraction CTF Oddball Flood Description: This map is a near replica of the Halo 2 map Sanctuary and the Halo reach Map Asylum. The gameplay on it works best when on a Classic Halo gametype, but works just fine on a Halo 4 gametype. I would recommend 2-8 players, but there could be exceptions (i.e. Flood). When picking the name of the map I thought of the two previous maps. Asylum and Sanctuary are near opposites, but I compared them to paradise and prison. In most Christian religions they believe in a paradise/prison and then judgment. Arbitral means: of or pertaining to an arbiter (a judge). Brawl: Shadow Moses Island I think the atmoshere is greatly transcribed and structure is exactly the same that in the game. I'm pretty proud of the towers which are really similar ! Unfortunatly, we can't destroy towers, and there isn't some Metal Gears in the background... But it's fun to fight on this stage which is really similar to the original. Melee : Jungle Japes It's true, atmosphere isn't the same that in the real game, but all details are in ! I tried to recreate the background as best I could. It was very hard to place all details like chimney, or the roofing which are irregular in the original game. But it's a stage which is fun to play, like the others.   9. Boardwalk By LANK3Y PROZz and a little by HELLBOY1201 This is a recreation of the well known and much loved (and much disliked) map from Halo Reach; Boardwalk (if you hadn't already guessed). It is very true to the original in that nothing major is missing from the layout and the weapon set is the same, except for the Plasma Launcher (which is of course, is not able to be done) which has been replaced by the Sticky Det.   11. Zealous v1.5 A Zealot remake by Resivore. 2-8 recommended player count. Supported gametypes: Slayer, CTF. DOWNLOAD ZEALOUS V1.5 Introduction A project I'd aspired to do since the dawn of Halo 4, my goal of bringing Zealot to life (somewhat) has been achieved. In an attempt to recreate Zealot, Zealous was born. Of course, it plays far different than that of Reach; thanks to our godly jumps (did the Spartans grow wings, or...?), and map awareness and maneuvering skills have been brought to a whole new level. I did my best to stay true to the ideas and overall layout of Reach's Zealot without subtracting from aesthetic appeal. The game play is fast pace and exciting, true to the nature of the original, if I may say so myself. Weapons Sniper - x1 - 2 extra clips - 120 sec - Top Gold Railgun - x1 - 3 extra clips - 120 sec - Green / "Holos" DMR - x1 - 2 extra clips - 30 sec - Ring 2 Covenant Carbine - x2 - 2 extra clips - 30 sec - Red + Blue "Pocket" Railgun - Because Halo 4 no longer features the Grenade Launcher (moment of silence to mourn for its loss, please), I needed to pick a replacement weapon to take its position. I chose the Railgun. In my opinion, I feel that the Railgun is ultimately more similar to Reach's Grenade Launcher than 4's Sticky Detonator. Having to hold and charge it (although not at your disposal) brings back a familiar feeling of charging the Grenade Launcher. The ranges are similar, although I will say the Railgun's range is larger and more accurate, but can also be faulty in given circumstances. Screenshots Initial loadout. Top gold, snipe spawn. Green, rail spawn, view of the street connector. Blue flag, jump, drop, basement. View from blue flag, shows ring 3, blue landing, gold bridge. Blue landing, fanciful windows (can I trademark these? I love them). Also the one and only actual circular part of this map. Notes I am eagerly awaiting feedback. I know from my own experience that I enjoy how this plays, but I'm always listening to suggestions. I did not post this with the impression that it is as good as it's ever going to be, the Halo community's input can always be useful in bringing a map to its full potential. Updates 6/1/13 - Zealous v1.5: Added a ceiling to top gold and red and blue streets. Teleporter is replaced with a lift similar to that of non-MLG Zealot at its base.

It was made using a Mod and it's about 5% bigger than the original or at least feels like it. The vehicles are the same as they were back in Halo 3, however I was unable to put all the weapons down just because we don\t have maulers or spike grades and such. The gravity lift that you were able to pick up back in Halo3 is now just a gravity lift placed under the Spartan Laser tower. I was also able to recreate the small tunnel at the back of the map which required crouching to get under. Images:
  13. the map is a remake of the call of duty black ops zombie map kino der toten. unfortunely due to the budget and the amount of pieces we were not able to fully remake it. the weapons that are placed look a lot like the weapons in the actual map. this map also has random weapon drops where the random weapon boxes were. the doors are opent with grenades wich are rewarded with personel ordance. you need at least 5 players to play a decent game and max 12. the map and the gametype can be download in the fileshare of the gamertag FrikandelXXL. made by frikandelxxl and broodjeaap1. made on forge island (free dlc) the lobby the theater(a little bit ravaged) the outside the holes in the wall where the zombies come from and the boltshot as replacement for the olympia who also only has 2 shots

This was a Mini-Game that I loved to play in Halo 3 and have wanted to recreate since Reach but never had the right space to do so. We've pretty much done everything as it was in 3 but changed some things up to better suit the Map and Halo 4. Now, onto the way it works. There is 1 Flood (Tank) The rest Humans (Mongoose) Simply the way it works is the Mongeese must run from the scorpion and try to stay alive for the remaining time. Each player has 1 life, when you die your dead. There are multiple rounds in a game, with hazards and jumps to go along with all this. That's about it for the way it works, quite a simple map.   17. Hey guys, just wanted to try and promote my Uncaged remake: Cage of Death. With Forge Islands released and the whole gamertag and tag searches I hear being fixed I thought now would be a good time to try =] My gamertag is thelimoiscoming; to any readers that might not now how to search, just pause the game, press down, and go to the file browser, then follow these steps: File Browser -> Map Variants -> File Share Search -> (Forger's Gamertag) -> Choose Correct Map -> Download It leans more towards a spiritual remake and it's not an exact replica of the original map. But I'm very proud of it with my own very slight variations to the original which was one of my favorite maps on reach. It was created on Ravine and should work with pratically any game type besides Dominion. This is my first time posting in this forum and I hope you guys enjoy my map remake. The new natural pieces make the map look more beautiful than the Ravine or the Impact pallet(there's trees in the background!) Because the map is made to replicate the original Sanctuary, I believe no-sprint gametypes would be best for it. It can also support v3 CTF and Slayer very well though. Note that this map is NOT for standard Infinity Slayer, so the kill boundaries are not edited for jetpackers. Now I know that THFE is all for new, original maps, but I believe we should give this remake a shot. Also,there's a classic version coming up, which will have the original weapons and spawns from Halo 2. I will update this thread as soon as it's done. Pictures!

  21. NOTE: The forging here is not as pretty as I would like. I had to cut quite a few corners to fit it all in. The map takes up the entirety of the space between the two asteroids, so I had to use quite a few ugly parts. District was a map exclusive to Halo 2 Vista. I'm sure you've all seen screenshots of it floating around. Bungie had given us urban maps in the past, but they had never functioned as one might have hoped. For example, Turf was tiny, and Headlong lacked distinct streets and alleyways. District changed that; it featured a Turf-like design, but was large enough to accommodate a full-on Big Team Battle. Even though it intrigued me, I never had the chance to play district while the H2Vista servers were alive. In Halo Reach, I attempted to recreate district using youtube footage as a reference. I achieved something bearing resemblance to district, but the forgeworld framerate rendered it unplayable. This time, I had the chance to do better. I got a secondhand copy of H2Vista, and forged the map with Halo 2 on my PC, the screen positioned only a foot away from my TV. Every distance has been measured to the best of my ability, so all the dimensions should be equal to the original. Since Halo 2 seemed to have floatier jumps, a couple heights were changed to preserve crucial jump-paths. I've created two versions of the map. One features a weapon/vehicle set modified for Halo 4, and the other has the original set. Since I've hit the item limit, the map is only set up for slayer and CTF. If people want other gametypes, I can make alternate versions featuring those objectives. The maps have been modified and tested a lot, so I'm safe to say in the latest versions they are uncheatable and spawns are not causing any problems either. Map name: Lockout Gamertag: YamaMX Gametypes: Slayer, AGL, CTF, Oddball, KOTH, Extraction File: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/23f275a9-02d7-4f21-8763-02e475a15e07 Lockout is a 1:1 replica of the Halo 2 map co-forged by veteran forger Vincent Torre (MickRaider) and myself, YamaMX. Back in January I forged the map while using Halo 2 PC as a guide, block for block. Like many, I have a passion for this map as it housed many great competitive outings and memories. Having presented the original version, it received many positive reviews and a ton of useful feedback. This is where I met MickRaider, who could sense my passion for perfection and my willingness to listen, learn and execute. Together we bounced the map up and back, each of us taking care of large chunks at a time. By the end of it all, the map underwent ten major version increments before becoming final. The goal of this remake was to faithfully reproduce Lockout; line of sight for line of sight, trick jump for trick jump without sacrificing visual fidelity in any way. While some remakes tend to re-imagine the map in order for it to work with Halo 4 settings and bigger party sizes, we wanted a true 1:1 experience that both works well for Halo 4 and stays absolutely true to the original. While the trick jumps and such were made to work with Halo 4's engine seamlessly, no liberties were taken in regards to map size. Instead we measured for days on end to re-create the scale of the original, right down to the amount of seconds it takes to fall to your death. While I could write a change log, it would likely reach a character limit... thrice. I can honestly say the map was rebuilt from the ground up, everything has been amended or changed for the better in some way, shape or form. Just some small examples in comparison to the original would be the addition of the cave itself, missing entirely from the beta build. The entire height of the map has been adjusted. Bridges that most fail to realize have slight inclines have been inclined accordingly. Every Halo 2 spawn has been faithfully reproduced. Every room has been redone from the ground up, literally. Every trick jump is included and act nearly the same way they do in Halo 2. Barrel balance. Railings flipped. Tweaks to glass. Walls shortened or extended. Line of sights amended. The inclusion of CTF, Oddball and King of the Hill with the exact hill properties right down to length, width and height. The Halo 4 exclusive addition of Extraction. Optimization of the lighting budget. I could go on for hours, literally. It is an entirely new map in comparison to the original, shaped by over one hundred hours of work and countless play tests through out. The end result is Lockout, as you remember it. Blockout, a version tweaked for Halo 4's Infinity Slayer with Ordnance Drops and such will be available shortly via MickRaider.
  24. I am attempting to get this map onto the BTB playlist. My hope is that this remake is popular enough to be used in matchmaking on a daily basis. It is an improvised version of Headlong from halo 2. Now unfortunately apparently 10000 bucks and 90 blocks each isn't enough so i had to get creative on a couple of sections of the map. Either way you should recognize it and i hope you enjoy it. Any creative comments or suggestions are of course appreciated. A hotel and city square was under construction as earth fell under attack, so what you see is what you get. No refunds for already purchased rooms. Attacker side starts out with a ghost, warthog, and mongoose. Defenders start out with two ghosts. One banshee is located in a neutral location. Some spots in the map had to be improvised due to lack of blocks. Anyways here's Deadwrong, I hope everyone enjoys.
  25. Map: Eleventh Hour Author: Did4ct This map is a very close remake of the most memorable fighting moment of the Halo 4 Campaign. It is a remake of the left platform on the Didact's ship. This is one of the two platforms at the end of Midnight that creates the Didact's shield around the himself and the Composer with an energy beam. Gametype: Slayer or Cortana Cortana is a variant of CTF that functions as a 1 Flag CTF where the Infinity picks up Cortana (the flag) and tries to deliver her to the terminal above (the return point), just as Master Chief did, with the "Prometheans" trying to stop them. I have tested the gametype by myself and all of the spawnig works but I found no way to ensure that the Attackers get only the Infinity loadouts and the Defenders get only the Promethean loadouts. In my opinion, this map would be pitch-perfect for an Infection gametype where Master Chief is the Flood and the Prometheans are hunted by him until there are none left, but sadly Flood is not customizable enough to work well with it. There were quite a few hours put into this so hope you enjoy it and let me know if there are issues with it.
