  1. Slightly Mad Studio's opening landmark game, Project Cars, has been delayed on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Wii U. The racing genre has been graced with a plethora of wonderful titles this year, from the newly released Forza Horizon 2, Driveclub, and Mario Kart 8, to upcoming titles like The Crew. Sadly IGN.com reports that one hit racing game due for this holiday has been pushed back, Project Cars. Slightly Mad Studio's, the developers of the game, stated how the reason for the delay is, among more time to polish, the plethora of racing games coming out and the brisk competition. The delay was originally confirmed a while ago to be strictly for Europe and Australasia, but it seems it's now worldwide. Head of the studio, Ian Bell, had this to say,“Whilst a tough decision to make, the change in release date allows the game the greatest chance of success and visibility, and the opportunity to polish the game even further. . .We’re eager for you all to see what we’ve been working on in just a few months.” The game will launch on March 20th, 2015 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with an unknown date for the Wii U. 3. I see this posted pretty much everywhere: "Halo needs to go back to its roots. Take out sprint and armor abilities." I don't really want to argue about whether or not sprint should be in the game because I mostly think it's a really dumb argument. It's more realistic to sprint and to some having more realism is more important than having the type of gameplay we did without sprint. There is no right answer once again it's just people's opinion. Armor abilties however...I don't like their current implementation either but I believe they have a place in the game. A core gameplay element of Halo has been racing to weapons/power-ups on the map. I'm not sure if Halo started this kind of gameplay but I know that games even today adapt this mechanic (battlefield 4). It's a really fun and rewarding mechanic. Whether or not Halo started this mechanic I would argue that it is essential to Halo, just like no ADS. Having no ADS may seem stupid and to be honest it kind of is but without it I believe the way Halo plays would just change too much. Besides the spartan's have H.U.D which allows them to hipfire accuratley with the center reticle. I think that armor abilties should be in the game but I think that they should be severley limited compared to their current frequency. I think that 1, 2 at most armor abilities should be pick-up-able objects on the map. This way you can give armor abilties more purpose by making them essential to finding power weapons/items. For example a Banshee may only be accessable by a jet-pack. I think the issue with armor abilties is their frequency. It sucks to have to be constantly shooting desperatley upwards at people who don't know how to use jetpacks stuck miles in the sky spraying their assault rifles down at you while the rest of the team is wreslting you from behind with armor lock or zipping around you with evade. It's just a ******* mess. I don't want multiplayer to be a mess. How do you clean it up? Limit the crazy **** that players can do and give each crazy thing a clearly defined purpose. I admire 343i's effort to take multiplayer to the next level. However, giving players a bunch of crazy abilties that they can spam doesn't help making the game more fun to play. It just makes it a giant mess as I said above. So, we can have armor abilties....just make them infrequent and pick-up-able on the map. Thoughts?
  4. This is my remake of the Mario Kart Wii version of this track. It was originally on the DS, but it was featured as a retro course on the Wii. Thanks to the new Race gametype I was able to save a lot of budget and this allowed me to build a track with so much structure. The main points of the map are the clock tower, statue, and bridge. I have the new Race v1.1 on my file share along with many other compatible maps. Works with mongooses, warthogs, ghosts, and mini banshees! Download Map! Download Race Gametype!

  6. This is my remake of the track from Mario Kart 64. I used land mines and terminal wires to make chain chomps. There is a system of teleporters that acts as a substitute for checkpoints. If you find the shortcut keep it a secret (doesn't involve teleporters). About 7 man cannons are hidden under the floor that will give you a boost so be sure to hit them all. If you are prone to having seizures, you may want to avoid the hologram area... 7. This is my remake of the track from Mario Kart Wii. It is compatible with the RACETRACKS game type. To simulate the escalators I used color-coded ramps where the red ones slow you down via gravity volumes and the green ones do not slow you down. There is only one part where you can fall off and there is a teleporter setup so you only go back a little bit. See my file share for Mario Kart 64 remakes. 8. This is my remake of the track from Mario Kart 64. It is compatible with the RACETRACKS gametype which can be found on my file share. There is a system of teleporters that acts as a substitute for checkpoints. I have a variant of this track labeled as "Sherbet Land - Doubles"; it should be used with RACETRACKS - DOUBLES. I also have Bowsers Castle, Wario Stadium, and Banshee Boardwalk. Ask me if you would like to feature my maps on your YouTube channel. File Browser > Map Variants > File Share Search > TurbTastic
