  1. Batman: Arkham Knight has unfortunately been delayed ("Are you kidding me? I AM THE NIGHT! WHERE'S THE TRIGGER?! CAN HE BE TRUSTED?!") The highly anticipated new Batman game will be delayed and will now release somewhere in 2015. A specific date has not been set yet. What we do know is that this goes for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The developers feel bad because of this and released a new trailer explaining the battlemode of the Batmobile to make us feel a bit better. Here it is: Guy Perkins, Marketing Manager of Rocksteady, explains why they decided to delay the game. "We simply want to give you the best experience possible, and that takes time. We have the feeling that we are developing a truely fantastic game and want to make it as awesome as possible. If we didn't give our team thetime they need we would release a game that is not 100% complete and we wouldn't be happy about that. We want to make sure it works perfectly." Are you bummed out about this or do you see it as a chance to get a more spectacular game? Let me know down below! Thank you for reading! The trailer and the screenshots can be found here: The game will be 4 years after the (fictional) takeover of America by Korea. This is the year 2029 to be precise. Ethan Brady will be your main character. He is just your average Joe without a heroic background or military history. You weapon supply is also limited in comparison to your enemy, the KPA (Korean Peoples Army). This will make you resort to supplies you find lying around or weapon crafting with natural resources. The biggest promise is the open world guerilla warefare and it will feature online co-op. Homefront: Revolution will release in 2015 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Expect more information at E3. 5. "The Red Dead and Bioshock franchises are permanent franchises." This is what the CEO of Take-Two told in a conference. He called Red Dead and Bioshock permanent franchises. Meaning that there are still games coming. CEO Strauss Zelnik said "GTA is of course a permanent franchise as long as we can cintinue to bring quality with it. It is also very logical to call Red Dead a permanent franchise, as well as Borderlands and NBA." Take-Two earlier stated that they'll be releasing a new Rockstar game between now and the 31th of March 2015 as you can see here >>> http://343i.org/1yy Zelnick also stated that the developers of Bioshock 2, 2K Marin, will continue their work on the Bioshock franchise. "Although Irrational games - the developers of Bioshock 1 and Infinite - is no more, there is still a lot of the universe to explore." Would you buy the next games in both franchises? 7. Details for the next Battlefield title have been found! The next Battlefield title will likely be called Hardline. This is according to a mistake in the Battlelog update. The title will be a spinoff with a Cops and Robbers theme and will be developed my Visceral Games (known from the Dead Space series). The details that have been found include the logo and a piece of artwork. It also includes icons for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC. So don't worry current gen console holders, no need to part ways from your old and trusty console . These details were spotted on the servers of EA of which they have now been removed. But not before the Interwebz got hold of it. There were also some details on the classes. The classes will be called The Enforcer, The Mechanic, The Operator and The Professional. And some details on gametypes. Which will be called Blood Money, Carrier Assault and Bomb Squad. Besides from that there has been a reference to an unknown map and a picture of a welcoming screen for the participants of the Beta. The Twitter account of Battlefield Daily has also found some interesting images showing medals and equipment. Here they are: These images highly suggest that the next setting will indeed be Cops and Robbers. (Although I've never seen police use a crossbow...) EA has not confirmed this to be legit. So I guess it will once again all come down to E3! Since Battlefield is mostly known a FPS shooter being set in war, do you think this new Cops and Robbers setting will do any good? 10. The Division might not even release in 2015 With the release date shoved back to 2015 earlier an anonymous article claims that the new release date set in 2015 might be a bit optimistic. So it might be delayed even more. This same source earlier predicted that the game would be delayed as well so there might be a bit of truth in here. The source also tells that The Division is Ubisofts most ambitious title, like Ubisoft themselves stated earlier, and they will do anything to get the game out in 2015. The game in this state is just hardly playable due to netcode errors and bugs right now. It is going to take some time to figure this all out. One thing there are happy about is the new engine they're working with since 2012. Ubisoft did not want to make the same mistake EA did with Battlefield 4 and release the game while it's not entirely finished yet. According to them the game has too much potential to rush it. Like they said earlier, they want to release the game when it is done. Can you sympathise with the decision they made? Or do you feel like they should've thought their release date through a bit more before they announced it? As always leave comments down below! Thank you for reading! 11. Both the map of Chicago and the skill tree for the upcoming game Watch_Dogs have been leaked. With the new game Watch_Dogs releasing in just a week. But some lucky people are already in possession of the full game. (Those lucky S.O.B's) One of them was kind enough to show us both the map we'll be playing in and the skill tree we'll be progressing through. I'll hide the pictures in a spoiler down here in case you don't want to see it: (You know you want to peek) Those look like quite a few skills and a pretty large area to screw around in. At least enough to keep you busy for a few hours. As always leave comment down below! Don't forget to leave a like! Thank you for reading! 12. Bungie recently released a new trailer for their new game Destiny With E3 coming closer and closer Bungie wanted to give us a video that shows everything you need to know about Destiny. Here is is: This trailer shows us the idea behind Destiny. We, the gamers, are the last defenders of Earth. So everything is based around Earth. Familiar surroundings and atmosphere everywhere. And then to give the game their own twist they threw in tons of whacky stuff. Then they go into the abilities a bit more. Each class has it's own special ability. The Titan can lift enemies, the Hunter can double jump and the Warlock can slide. Not major game changing abilities. Then there is your super which allows you to deal tons of damage in a little amount of time. Supers are not class bound so when you find one you will be able to use it no matter what class you are. Destiny is designed to bring gamers together. You of course will all go your seperate ways but there are times when your paths might cross. These times are usually huge events where you can work together to bring down a huge force of enemies. Just fire a bullet in the direction of an enemy and you're in the game. Don't feel like it? Just ignore the choas that is going on right in front of your eyes and go your own way. 'Customising your guardian will not be through series of menu's and buttons. You will be in a central marketplace where every guardian has come together to see how they can become a legend.' This is still a bit unclear to me. Time will tell I guess. 13. Custom Games Matchmaking [Waiting since Halo3] [Fixed] Halo 4 forge with more features = Adding Ai [Ai as in everything from UNCS Grunts, to enemies, to campaign bosses] New Forge Mode: Campaign Forge [Lets you go into a campaign mission, choose a checkpointed section, or area, and build there and complete the mission how you would've liked too, or just use that area to make a game mode in] Remove armor abilities from starting load outs and make them pick up if you still choose to keep them in. Make the DMR a pick up, not the BR. Dynamic Animations such as juking to the left or right as you hit jump. [Maybe] Graphics. Coop. Fun mode where you get to play as an ODST. [Maybe as an activated skull, or a custom setting.] In Custom Games allow you to play as: Forerunners, Elites, Hunters, Etc. Be able to use the War Sphinx in custom games.
  14. Tom Clancy's the Division has been delayed untill at least 2015 This is was Ubisoft stated earlier. The Developers want to work on the game a little longer to give you the best experience. They said: "Working on The Division is for Massive, Reflection and red Storm Entertainment a huge chance we only get once in a lifetime. We are very proud and do not want to lack on quality. That's why we will release this game when it's done." They will be showcasing the game during E3. So let's see what they've got to by then. In the meantime we can feast our eyes upon a few screenshots. Now for some Far Cry 4 AllGamesBeta has released some evironmental images on their Twitter page. They don't show very much gameplay wise but they do show that we'll be spending a lot of time in the mountains. Here they are: Far Cry 4 is scheduled to release on the 20th of November. Next up is the first Titanfall DLC The Titanfall Expedition map pack launches today for the PC and Xbox One, Xbox 360 had to wait a little bit longer. The pack contains three new maps called Runoff, Swampland and War games. Here's a trailer showing every map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm7EAVSt8yA As always leave thoughts and comments below! 15. Rockstar states they have a little sumthin' sumthin' in store for us for next-gen. Strauss Zelnik, CEO of Take-Two, has stated that Rockstar will release a game for the next-gen consoles. This game will probably release somewhere between June 2014 and May 2015. As we all know Rockstar takes their sweet time on creating games and it will be interesting to see what they will come up with. Maybe GTA V for the next-gen consoles? Or maybe another Red Dead title? Rockstar has been working on another Red Dead title since the end of last year, so it seems likely that this will be the game they're talking about. But we'll just have to wait and see in the meantime. Which one are you hoping for? GTA V for the next-gen consoles? Or a new Red Dead title? As always leave answers and comments down below! 19. Gameinformer keeps on releasing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. This time in an interview. Two studio bosses of Sledgehammer have been interviewed and have released some intresting info. The main question: "What makes this Call of Duty different than the others?" Sledgehammer states that they want to innovate the Call of Duty experience, but still keep the old Call of Duty feel to it. They wanted a new way to play Call of Duty. Hence the exo-suits. The exo-suits will change the way the game is played. Running up walls to add new ways to get somewhere and super jumps to get there. The reveal trailer shows the Golden Gate bridge being blown up and Sledgehammer assures at least 7 more of these event happening. But they don't want the focus on cut scenes and explosions. They want their focus on the emotional side of the campaign. "At this point in the gaming industry it's all about the emotional bonds, and we pay a lot of attention to this." -studio boss Glen Schofield The main character Mitchell, the man you play as, is one of the most important persons in the game. This is his story. About him, family, friends and his losses. That's one of the things that makes this game different. Mitchell is just your avarage guy that joined the army. It's pretty generic, but Sledgehammer did this intentionally. They wanted to start of with an anybody. He might have a little bit of a backstory but the main things you will experience is the stuff he goes through in the games timeline of 7 to 8 years. Through these years you will see your character grow and you will find out more about his past. Sledgehammer uses a storytelling feature that they call "Just in Time." Which means that Mitchell will tell his story during the cutscenes and provide you with what he knew at that time and give a bit of additional intel on the mission to come. You will see the story trough the eyes of Mitchell, adding to the immersion. He won't talk in the game itself because that means he will say things for you, and Sledgehammer doesn't want that. They want it the other way around. And since you can't speak for him, you can think for him. (This sounds kinda cool) Adding even more to the immersion is the fact that Sledgehammer has implemented minimal HUD. You won't see an objective marker or anything. They assure you though that it will be clear where you need to go. They have also taken away the action from the cutscenes and added them to the actual gameplay. (Please don't be quick-time events) Sledgehammer feels that if the game decides what to do for you you don't have a real connection with your character. So they got rid of this. Sledgehammers ultimate goal is to make this the most innovative Call of Duty to date. They want you to talk about their game like Game of Thrones fans talked about the 'Red wedding' scene. They want you to have that 'Damn, it's over already?!' feeling when you finish the game. And they'll really feel like they have accomplished something if their fans tell their friends to play their new game. Do you think Sledgehammer will accomplish this? As always leave answers and comments down below! Thank you for reading! Sources: http://nl.ign.com/news/9036/sledgehammer-wil-red-wedding-scene-in-call-of-duty ▲
  20. The Destiny loot system explained. As most of you know, the new game Destiny will feature some sweet loot. Now I heard some complaints of some of you that you were afraid that random players would just swoop by and steal all your hard earned loot. Bungie assured you that your loot is YOURS. Even the ammo they drop is YOURS. It drops only for you and the other players get their own loot (If they helped that is). So no Borderlands like weapon stealing. Here's a video on the matter Now for a little breakdown. At 0:36 you see in the top right corner that the player is participating in an event and is on the Gold Tier. So there are several tiers probably indidcating how much of the loot you will get. My guesses are that gold will be the highest. (But there's always platinum and stuff) Also, the higher the level, the better your armour will look. You will be really able to see the difference between a level 3 guardian and a level 23 guardian by the way their armour looks. The level 3 guardian will have close to basic armour and the level 23 guardian will have a lot of details and decorations. Then there's also the weapons. Destiny features a three weapon system. No this does not mean only 3 weapons, but three weapon categories. The first one is your Primary weapon which can either be a rifle or a hand cannon. Then there is the Special weapon which can be a shotgun or a sniper rifle kind of weapon. And then there is you Heavy weapon which features rocket launchers and heavy machine guns. Also, the weapons are not class bound like again for example Borderlands 2 that has specific items for specific classes. The Destiny armoury will be open to all classes. Whether you are a Hunter, Warlock or Titan. What are your thoughts? As always leave comments down below! Thank you for reading! 21. More information about the new Call of Duty is available! In a recent post by Game Informer has some more details on the next Call of Duty title. One of these details is that the game will be running on a new engine. So no more recycled animations from previous titles! (I hope) The next thing on the list is that Call of Duty: Advanced Warefare will feature a co-op mode. Only Sledgehammer is not releasing any more details on that. Maybe another Spec-ops or Extinction like mode? Now there is a lot of new info on the campaign story which I will list down below. The storyline takes place in 2054. (So it was future warefare anyway... Who came up with the alternative WW1 setting?!) And it will all begin with a global "9/11" like disaster. A large amount of big cities are under attack by a terrorist organisation called the KVA. You will be in the shoes of Mitchell (voiced by Troy Baker). He's an American soldier that is asked by Jonathan Irons (Kevin Spacey) to join Atlas corporations. Mitchell accepts the offer and is rewarded wih an exo-suit. (Easy rewards. exo-suits confirmed) You will only hear your character speak during cut scenes. So yet again you will be the strong silent type. At the end of every mission you will be able to upgrade your exo-suit. With this suit you will be able to: -Be invisible -Climb walls -Dodge objects -Get in to cover quickly -Super jump Kinda what you expect of an exo suit. Only I expected to be able to do more with it... Grenades are also customisable. For example, you can either set it to normal detonation or use it to see where your enemies are at. Will you now actually be able to take down a AC-130 with a flashbang? (Unprofesional I know...) There are also a couple tiny facts. The soundtrack will be made by the man who also composed soundstracks for the Metal Gear Solid games. And all the DLC will be on the Xbox first. The multiplayer has yet to recieve some more details. But Sledgehammer has stated that "Youll be able to imagine how the single player features can be used online." So exo-suit in multiplayer confirmed? What do you think of the next CoD with this new info? As always leave answers and comments down below! Thank you for reading! 22. Neversoft Studios and Infinity Ward are merging together as one happy family The Call of Duty dev's Infinity Ward and Neversoft Studios are merging into one giant studio. There were rumours going around about this before but it has now been made official via Twitter. We're thrilled about our merger with Neversoft! The entire team is excited about the future The merging of the two companies is a logical choice since Neversoft already helped creating the Extinction mode in Call of Duty: Ghosts. The companies will merge under the name of Infinity Ward, making the Neversoft name obsolete. This has been done because the name Infinity Ward has more of a connection with the Call of Duty series. However a couple of people are leaving with the merging, including the boss of Neversoft and the Studio director. Their roles will be taken over by Infinty Ward personel. 23. Hello there, thanks for visiting this thread. Are you interested in writing News for the community, but don't have such a grip on certain guidelines for Front Page worthy articles? Fear not, for I have developed for you a small set of guidelines for you to follow if you want to create amazing content level with our own News Group! The article should feature an appropriate image to coincide with the topic of the article. The image should be hosted on the forum's own Gallery as off-site material copied and pasted can be tamped with or removed, doing this prevents inappropriate or missing content on the article. The easiest format to do this is to save the image unto your own computer or device, and upload it using the "Attach Files" mechanism below. Article should be sourced in a Site Name/[direct link] format, basically meaning if you found your article on IGN, you would source it as 'IGN.com' rather then just IGN or another title. The link must go to wherever you found the article though, so it should link to the actual piece rather than just IGN's front page. Primary Sources are usually the best to use, as they are more direct and have more authenticity. Let's say you post a 343i Job Listing, you must link to the actual listing, instead of Polygon reporting on the listing. This helps News Group members authenticate the article to make sure it isn't a hoax before promoting it. An opening sentence should hook the reader in and have them gripped to continue. It doesn't need to be long, but it should have the reader invested for the whole article, like a sort of teaser. It assists in the flow of the article as well, and looks generally neater and cleaner. Rhetorical questions aren't the best method, so try to avoid these. Personal opinions can never filter into a full fledged News piece. Doing an article on Halo 5 getting a 10/10 from IGN is fine, saying that Halo 5 is perfect or the complete opposite isn't. This is a news piece after all, it's just to inform, not to debate. Copy/Pasting a whole article, some of an article, or even a sentence of an article isn't allowed, and could result in serious punishments if done. The piece MUST be original, your own work. The usual word level is 300-500, however, if the article can perform fine with less or more, then this shouldn't matter, just don't make it tremendously short or long, and try to aim for the word limit set above. Font sizes and fonts should usually stay default, however, using colours like cyan, orange, and sometimes yellow is perfectly fine. Articles should have your own distinct style and taste to them, don't attempt to be like BeckoningZebra1, or Adam91, or Edward Kenway. You are you, if you use a certain vocabulary, or style, then use it, it's fine to be distinct and unique when it comes to writing. It isn't that the three mentioned above are not good writers, they are, but that is because they have their own way of writing. It doesn't matter how you consider your style, it's yours, it's special, you need to utilize it. Try to end on a question, and encourage liking and commenting on the article, as well as discussing it below, usually a question does the trick to promote (civil) debate and discussion in the comments area. That should cover it, any suggestions or questions, ask away below, thanks for reading ladies and gentlemen, and I hope this assists some fresh writers out there in starting up!
  24. A new Halo 5 multiplayer modus in the making! Although we don't have much info on the upcoming Halo title we now do know 343i wants to implement a new modes in the Halo 5 multiplayer. 343i has started hiring for a person who can: -Implement and execute competetive multiplayer features -Fine tune the existing multiplayer experience -Create and implement a brand new multiplayer modes Now the last one seems highly interesting since even 343i doesn't know what it'll be. Although they would have to give their blessing first. What kind of modes would you like to see in Halo 5? "And now for something completely different." Destiny will have no initial PvP. Got the game and wanna shoot some other players? Tough luck, because Bungie has made it so that you'll first need to play a couple of hours before you can blast your opponents to bits. Now I know this sounds bad but there is logic behind this madness. In Destiny you will start without a 'super attack' and without this you'd be completely destroyed by opponents who do have this ability. And who likes getting blown up without defence? In order to 'unlock' competetive multiplayer you'll first have to complete several missions, get you super attack and find a special weapon. Only then you'll fully understand how the game works and you'll be on your merry way. See at as some kind of tutorial. There hasn't been much info on the competetive multiplayer side of Destiny so far. Keep an eye out on E3 this year. Do you like the way Bungie handles this situation?
